Failing to understand why there are fans doubting dave king already.
Sorry do you want the previous board instead? Fans asking king to pay mike ashley back with his 5m. why pay that 5m back when police are investigating Sports Direct affairs. its possible we won't have to pay it back. I for one would prefer to see action taken against Ashley and his sneaky business dealings. Ashley is a smart business man and he has used a majority of legal clauses to get money out of rangers but surely some part of it will get him sued or taken to court.

Have to disagree! Mike Ashley will get his money back regardless off what went on with the police last week

Myles, don't be ridiculous, irrospective of anything he has done, our club owes him £5m+ and it should be paid or the directors forfeit all the guarantees he has. Until that is cleared his power over us is limitless.
I would say that he has doubts about our financial security and is just covering his ass.
The next thing he is liable to do, on behalf of fellow investors, is sue king and co. for losses associated with the de-listing of the club on financial markets.
We'll soon see what king's intentions may be, and I sincerely hope he is not going to be a giant let down.

Myles, where do you get your information from? Sports Direct are not being investigated. Of course we will have to pay the £5m back.
People are sceptical about King because since he took over we have been delisted from AIM despite him telling us that he had a NOMAD lined up. He said he would invest and we're yet to see a penny. The SFA are not preventing him from investing from now. Priority 1 should be to repay all outstanding debts and that requires following through on the promises made prior to the election.

Myles, do you honestly believe that rangers have just got a free £5m pound, seriously?
Sports direct is entitled to it, Ashley might be a lot of things, but I seriously doubt he has done anything illegal, unethical yes.

The question that I find interesting is why is Ashley demanding the money back when the loan has no time limits on it and also the egm may or may not be legal however my point of view is he is trying to embarrass Rangers and also to get Dave king to react

Aye Ceex,LOL its hilarious mate.

After the meeting with Paul Murray, Ashley knows they have no money, so he is demanding his £5 million back so everyone else will know they have no money.

My view on this is Ashley wants out of rangers in this sense and only to keep the retail deal. Rangers are too hot right now with police and investigations left right and centre. He got all of these things through dodgy dealings with green and his own appointments. Don't forget there was the same amount of money in the club as when he gave us the loans so he's not worried about not getting his money back. He could also be doing it to prove a point.

King et all haven't put any money into the club because it's not the sole purpose of what he came to do. The sfa are not stopping him putting money into the club but they are stopping him on his primary objective which is to turn the club around financially.

He wants to look at the whole picture of rangers commercial running and run us to a profit but just now he can't because there must be contracts sucking money out of the club and throwing money at it won't stop it.

He will provide funding but not until it goes 100% to the club and will do it through a share issue so one he needs to be cleared by the sfa before he can actually start his tenure as chairman.

I would say this will happen through the summer but definitely not before he is in his post.

I know it's hard due to All the false promises of the previous boards but king is a rangers man and wouldn't try so hard to gain control of a club running at a loss to just let it die. He will invest and bring others on board with investment and together along with fans investment through season tickets will build rangers back from the bottom up.

Would you thrown money into a club when the money is going elsewhere? It does stop the root issues guys try to use your heads.

IMO best course of action would be get the monkey ( Ashley ) of our back once and for all.

The best way would be by paying back the loan in full on condition that he also sells all his shares so has no more influence on our club.

Maybe King or any other wealthy individual would be willing to finance this?

paul murray previously stated ashleys loan would be payed back so
we shouldn't have a problem he wants his money give it to him simple then retail day goes 51 percent in our favour un till we can find something wrong with these contracts and dodgy deals it is really that simple the only reason I see for not paying is the board do not have the funds to do so

I don't know obviously I want him out our club but why all of a sudden after a police investigation and supposed links to whyte does he want his money back remember there's no timescale on the payback I'd maybe hold on till the police conclude there investigation

like I was saying yesterday king murray ect should have dealt with ashleys as soon as they got in the door it is now time for king ect to step up and show us the have the money that will get everything back only thing Ashley will have is his merchandise deal with rangers for shirts ect time for these men to step up and get our stadium training complex back the crests and badges edmiston house albion steet car park and our 26 percent in rangers retail so its pritty simple pay up and we get this all back looking forward to rangers response on this

Couldn't agree more mate, this is a great opertunity for the men in charge to show us what they are made of, they must have known ashley would do this at some point really silly if they didn't. As for the egm he has asked for I wonder what he will be looking or now or is he wanting a way out as he has been beaten.

Its time to see Total Transparency DK . Big Mike wants his cash

Agree6 Disagree1

13 May 2015 17:57:30
I'd be more worried about what fatboy has been told about the future of the club/ ongoing investigation that makes him want his cash back pronto? Maybe whoever gave him the rights might not have the legal right to give in the very near future in which case he'd loose his cash. Seems to be in a rush and he always has a reason.
And what about the no security over Ibrox clause? It's a can of worms Bears that's for sure. All,the best HH joe

Agree1 Disagree2

13 May 2015 19:55:50
Doubt it Joe. Surely if Ashley thought things were falling apart at the club he'd want them to default on the loan. That way he gets to keep all the securities included in the terms of the loan. Not bad for £5m.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 May 2015 20:14:03
Yeah joe but let's be honest we have no idea what makes Ashley do what he does. Why did he even get involved in the first place? There isn't much money to be made in Scottish football especially at rangers where we are running at a loss and might not even be in the spl

Agree0 Disagree1

13 May 2015 18:38:45
all the previous posters should consider the fact that there will be litigation being prepared to do with the loans and other decisions made by ashley and his team therefore making any statments or paying the loan would possibly damage any legal action that is being considered

Plenty of money to be made selling shirts Ceex, that's why he's there.Running at a loss or not, shirts will be sold by the thousand.
