Something a wee bit different does anyone listen to Chris Evans in the mornings, I was wondering if the fella who gave around a million pound to children in need, was the same Tom Hunter who tried to buy Rangers on a couple of occasions from David Murray. Anyways what a fantastic gesture.

{Ed039's Note - More than likely is, very generous man when it comes to charity, I didnt know anything about it until I just read it here but if it is true it is a magnificent gesture indeed)

Listen. all the crap over the last 3 years, and everyone seems to be forgetting the one thing you should all know. who's name is on the deeds. seems to have been forgotten about. don't need to see a folder. what you need to see is the name on the deed. what does brown know that he's not telling and why. gary

I don't think Brown knows anything. Its very very easy to whisper in someones ear and start a ball rolling when we have things like the internet and very hard to trace the source.
Also lovely gesture by Mr Hunter.

Gary: Good point mate, the title deeds issue has been swept under the carpet recently.I think Whyte has got a court case on the go,claiming he owns he stadium, but it has never actually been confirmed who's name theyr'e in has it?
As for Brown knowing something,if he is a Rangers man he should tell us,Walter Smith was chairman as well, he must know something. It will all come out in the fullness of time.

I see Chris graham u. o. f in the press today saying the board are wrong to have a go at the fans, personally I don't see it as having a go but speaking the truth as they said "a drop in attendances" well to me that's plain for everyone to see and when you've had crowds of 40-45,000 for 2 seasons and you set your budget out based on those figures (as any company would) then they drop on average 15,000 then of course the fans who stay away must accept there share of the blame.

{Ed039's Note - There is reasoning to it, but they also must look closer to home for the reason in the drop in attendances, plus all the he said, she said bullsh*t isnt helping either and there seems to be no chance for parties to sit around the table and have some constructive dialogue)

Agreed ed if only they would have amicable talks we would all know were we stand but no one ever takes the easy option where Rangers are concerned. if only.

Ed039/r. f, Why should the club's owners explain decisions they make? Surely having the backing of the majority of the shareholding gives them that authority.
No business explains it's decisions to the ensemble and why should they?
Sos are now using the transparency card, and I would respectfully suggest that if similar questions were asked under murray's tenure then we would not be in our current situation.
Unfortunately we have a situation at the moment that dk is using certain fan bases as his puppets.
I'm not saying Ashley is the answer, but what has dk put forward apart from a ridiculous offer for control and causing mayhem by utilising his influence with certain fan groups.
If he is genuinely interested in sorting things out then buy some shares and play Ashley at his own game. If not, stop the nonsense and walk away.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - i am sure if any other business had lost 1/3 of their "customers" they would be open to dialogue, especially if they were on the brink of going under without emergency funding because of it and i have not intimated a preference towards one person or another, just an observation as I see it)

Ed039, I am not saying that Ashley is the answer but my interpretation of your comments is that he is not. He is propping us up at present for self gain, but dk is not helping our cause.
I would also, respectfully, add that your observations are indicating a preference. Namely against the board's decisions. What I am trying to say is that decisions have got to be made as situations develop and rightly or wrongly they are keeping our head above water. Quite simply you can only play the cards that you have in your hand.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - But why should our heads need kept above water? The share issue money and season books should have kept us going for a significant amount of time, but with the majority of theboards self interests being fed it has been squandered and driven away paying customers, the current model isnt sustainable so change is needed, i think that looks obvious?)

Surely if ashley at least met with reps from all supporters groups or made an announcement about his plans for the future it would go a long way in mending things between board & the fans & could / would persuade the missing fans to return.

OP, r. f, "the fans who stay away must accept there share of the blame. " - Really!

When you or anyone else starts earning my money for me that's when you, or they, can start to tell me how to spend it.

If I'm not happy with what I am paying for and decide I'm not paying for it anymore, who are you to tell me I'm wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed039, I have stated for a long time that our whole structure is a shambles. However, we are where we are. If you have a plan to rectify things, fire away.
My opinion is that the board run the business and if the business fails then they are finished. DK intended to send us back to receivership, at the least. My biggest bone of contention is that the genuine fans will suit themselves and not be influenced by the 'pawns of king'.
Your comments on the viability based on the share issue and season books does not hold water as the model was broken by Green's input.
Simple economics shows our outlays far outstrip our income currently and your 'board's self interest' point is history. The money we had is gone and the bandits have fled.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - the bandits have fled? You really think that?)

13 Nov 2014 22:34:59
Billyb: That does not make sense, you are implying that you are happy genuine fans will go to games without being influenced by "pawns of king".So why would that be a bone of contention for you?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gkk, I did not say I was happy, all I am saying is that the majority of fans will make their own mind up about forking out their hard earned cash, especially in mid week games. Again we go back to simple economics.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb:I think you meant crumb of comfort.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb:Ok, simple economics. I think you should keep your posts more simple instead of over-reaching.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed039, Maybe not totally, but the coffers are almost bare and not worth plucking. Yes plucking, the rhyming situation has already been actioned.

our club is a shambles board blaming the fans is a disgrace they new fine well they would run out of money this season regardless of fans buying season tickets or not what incentive do wee the fans have to turn up none at all
there has been no money spent on transfer fees none on the stadium no investment in youth no investment for better coaches or scouts all the money gets tain out our club not invested i bet the executives board people/investors get more pay and bonuses and contracts tied up between there self than the players salaries per season our club is run on bare minimum every time we ask for answers they blank us they may as well just turn around and say get lost we don't care bout use cause that's the impression they are giving they only ever seek to blame the fans for the mess they have got our club in why should we part with our hard earned cash there is 0 trust between supporters and board giving naming rights back will not gain trust cause what has ashley got in return.

Just a thought here, I wonder if any boycotting Rangers fans will be paying to watch Scotland at Porkheid?I thought the SFA might have thrown us bone with one of the games.
It looks as if they are struggling for income theirselves, selling bricks and paving stones. I wonder if Lawell had a hand in them being awarded both games?

Celtic park was chosen because it is the bigger ground and can hold 10,000 more

Gkk - what's going on with Hampden Park???, the commonwealth games finished months ago
