Ya you were/are in turmoil so yous should have never been able to afford the players you had, for dont yous still owe money to your loved jelivic's old team which you will never pay, not to mention others.you should have been the team that you are going to be by not being able to afford players and have to try and support your crapy reserves and youngsters. which Celtic have been doing by bring up youths and by living within our means. yous can try or cry all you want about us not beating you in 3 years but it is with no doubt your titles are tainted, that is if yous dont get striped.
i dont mind you looking forward to our game because Celtic play some good football to watch ,which im sure yous want to see... for your club lets you down time in again just like you fans and club, spl, sfa let down Scottish football. even our youths im sure you would want to watch for they are champs as well.
ooya and for a club that you say is the most successfull and loved around the world, why is it that Celtic get invited to all the prestige tournaments? like the next generation tourny which yous are begging to be in now but because of your club and fans, uefa/fifa and football fans alike dont think you are worthy and that your history is tainted by cheating and they dont trust yous....for if you were what you think you were you would have got an invite to these things like Celtic has(for you club proved that Celtic is and will always be the last one standing and the better overall club..if i were one of yous i would be more angry at sdm and the legends that ran your club into its position and not about Celtic and how proper it is runned...for did we have anything to do with your finacial problems? and its truley sad how you cant understand what dreams are and how people try to get them, Lennon already made one come true why not more? at least we know we will have a chance at the big trophy while yous watch and enjoy what you cant accept, watching Celtic grow and have much success.

3 2

@tango ,So you just read the headlines you don't read the full story , what a sad silly little person you are , any excuse to have a pop at NL . How sad it is that your reduced to hoping other teams can brighten up your season when your own team can't. There's nothing wrong with ambition within your means maybe if Sir Mintys ambitions were kept in check Rangers wouldn't be in the mess they are right now......DH

5 1

What a total berk you are.you forget who won the three before you? Glad you believe the sun though,be another billionaire along in a minute for you.St Johnstone will welcome you when your shabby club finally draws it's last breath and you need somewhere to go on saturdays. Bye,Bye.

3 0

We r in the semi finals if we are bottlers what does that make you all the champs league the Europa league the league cup to a team a division below you and Scottish cup in your own back garden long before you were in admin most of them we might bottle it but we pay our own way rangers proved they could beat us so is it the legend ally that's the problem if u take joy and celebrate other teams success against us then ur team is well and truly in the s**t Glasgow Celtic champions 2012

2 4

Get a life rusty there is more to life than the gers page bb blue

2 4

"Lennon admires and wants to be like all the best managers!why's that a big deal!"

I don't doubt that, but maybe he should set his sights on something a little more achievable first, a personality would be a start, he can pick up forming complete sentences later.

3 5

Not sure which would be funnier. duccablue

Theres nothing wrong wae Lennon dreaming. Got to qualify for the champions league but. Good luck wae tht one. Any team that finishes 4th from the big leagues in Europe would destroy ur mon. Then ul need to settle for the Europa league. N the odds a uz winning that would be a long shot. U got to a final with guys like Larsson, Sutton hartson. Do u think samaras stokes n pooper are the same standard? Wake up n smell the empty cans a super lager uv been drinking rusty.

Scott Brown....Championship winning captain.
El Had Diouf.....Relegated to League 1

That is all.

Believable10 Unbelievable10

Both non entities - you're point being?

13 7

Scott brown , ten decent games in 4years , good value for 4.5mill , could count on 2 hands how many forward passes the guys made in 4years ,

10 3

Did Diouf not win a championship last season ? Pointless!

5 5

So that's one rat been sank....just the rest of Rancid FC to go, at least he will be waiting for his club, know how he is a MASSIVE Rancid fan and that tee hee Lets all do the Broony. Captain of THE CHAMPIONS......feared by the unwashed Rancid fans..........

8 5

Lets all do the BROONY

8 5

4-feared? Rhys McCabe made him look like a one -legged man in an *rse kicking contest.....El Haddie was'nt the best, but he still got two medals off the Kerrydale Catalans....don't think even he will worry about being slagged by a second rate hacker like "Ah kin dae anything 'n no get booked, ken" Broon.

4 5

Brown has made more forward pass then Barry Ferguson.

3 4

Broon charges about like a bull in a china shop and should focus more on trying to play football instead of trying to wind opponents up
totally over rated...4.5 mill?? lol

3 2

Look , broons a diddy , a kno he,s a diddy , celtic fans kno he,s a diddy , theyl jus no admit it cause thats their style , you kno wit their like , anythin negative aboot their club and its swept under , simple , theyv always done it .a rangers are the the big bad sectairian club , but celtic fans are the ones who are full of hate , its clear to everyone

Rangers to play at Lesser Hampden for the foreseeable future come the end of the season.

Believable5 Unbelievable15

An application was tentatively made for use of hampden for next season. the asbestos removal will take around four months and the ground will be closed.

4 5

I can confirm this as Duff and Duffer have said they are trying to do "asbestos" they can LOL Timalloy

5 5

Might as well play there for the next 3 seasons cause you aren't gonna fill Ipox in div 3.

15 5

You know Celtic have won 2 trophies in 3 seasons against a Rangers side thats been on its kness since 2008.

I would have thought fans of a club who have won just one more trophy than Killie have over the last few years would have something better to to talk about than their obsession with all things Rangers.

Maybe talk about how you are going to win the C.L. next season with world beaters like Mulgrew in the side ha ha ha.

5 4

And gers have won less than killie this season,ya muppet.worry about your own team, celtic are fine, artybhoy

4 2

On its knees? You spent more than Celtic and the rest of the scottish football in those years... FACT!

8 2

@6 how is it a fact?

Rangers have sold Miller,Jelavic,Hutton,Adam,Cousin,Cuellar,Bougherra,Wilson,Thomson and many others for a lot more than we've spent in the last 4 years do the math. But why let facts get in they way of a story.

We went almost 2 years without signing a single player yet still beat a Celtic team that had players on £80k per week {Keane}.

5 8

@7 you even spent more than celtic THIS Season!.....FACT!

5 0

@7 who mentioned selling? You spent MORE than all of Scottish football in that period! Again... FACT!

Believable9 Unbelievable12

See ibrox rangers v dundee united lucky there was 17 thousand they say they need the rangers my arse.

6 9

The arrogance is overbearing (no pun intended)

GoldCoastBhoy

4 7

Actually 28,000 + in attendance good to watch a game without sectarian singing....pity tomorrow will prob be different

11 4

No3,rangers(IA)must be playing tomorrow then?is it the bigot-fest friendly against linfield tomorrow or is that game in early july?

3 6

Anyone else notice how family friendly the whole cup weekend feels without the rancid stench of the manky Govanites hanging over it and poisoning the atmosphere. This is the way it will always be when they die, Scottish football will eventually prosper without having our whole game tainted by their sectarianism, disgusting songs and their basic lack of any semblance of dignity. Happy days are on the horizon after this shame has been cleared away.

12 8

Tell that to my neighbours who live like me near Hampden, both rangers and Celtic fans frequently disgrace their clubs. Another who opens his mouth to hear his belly rumble. U haven't a clue mate.

4 4

It is a pleasant feeling knowing that there will be no bigoted songs ringing round Hampden this year, or in the foreseeable future. For once all teams in the semis got their by playing football with no need to cheat, steal or expect favours from officials. If this is Scottish football without the stain of Rangers hideous club then I for one welcome it with open arms.

10 5

Will be good to see Hampden Green n White for the cup final! All you bears better stay indoors on the 19th of may!

Darren

8 6

@7, you say for once all teams got to the semi's without cheating, stealing or expecting favours from officials. Given that Rangers weren't there last year which of the four clubs cheated, stole or received favorable decisions to get there? Also, do you remember the Scottish cup final last year and Celtic fans being condemned for their singing live on BBC? You're really not the brightest person are you?

2 4

For once all teams in the semis got their by playing football with no need to cheat, steal or expect favours from officials.

Hmmmm Rangers weren't in the semis last year so does that mean somebody that was there cheated?

GovanFR

3 0

7...typical pompous bhuffoon.....you don't sing offensive songs, eh? you've been done for it pal, so cut out the Jackanory stuff...hope the Jambos knock the stiffness out of your hypocritical *rses....

4 3

Darren, you have to beat Hearts yet,you dhims, remember,Kilmarnock humped you in the League Cup,im backing the Jambos,an all Edinburgh final,no blubbering dhims to spoil the day, giry

3 2

8-why? Hibs fans don't sing anti-British or sectarian songs, do they?...and you've not beat the Tarts yet...typical arrogance...member wee Neil chuntering about the Treble?

Rather hibs are in it than the sheep anyway.

.......I see Lemon is at it again,
beaten by Killie in the final, cuffed
by weakest Gers team in History,
and on the eve of another potential
Bottle Crashing exit in The Scottish
Cup......what does he proclaim?....
....Yip, were gonna win the Champions
League!!.(PS. I read it in The Telegraph before anyone starts about the Daily Ranger).........how that will
return to haunt him....Timmy, you
better hope you dont get beat
tomorrow......talk about a laughing
stock......comedy gold indeed....
.....pure magic so it is....its not the
Men in Black he will be worried about
tomorrow.....it will be the men in
White Coats......

Believable14 Unbelievable13

Read the article you plonker. or does your hatred for lenny render you blind? You read the telegraph? hmm.

10 4

Typical selective reading by Rangers fan. Lennon states its his ambition to win the CL. To be fair though he has more chance than McCoist and Rangers! Now that's comedy gold......

10 6

Have to laugh at the gers fans here, slating Lennon for having ambition. The only ambition your manager has is to get to Greggs before the vat on pies kicks in!

19 3

If you've read Lennon's autoboigraphy it was his ambition to play for Celtic, he acheived that, his ambition to play in a european final, he acheived that too!

He's started well, since he took over we've been to three cup finals, won league once and lost it by a point the other time, campaigned in european league and were in a Scottish Cup semi-final!

What has Ally done for you's?

Darren

9 2

No4,hes not walked away, although before administration most of the laptop loyal wish he had walked away.

7 2

Once again Mr Lennon gives a dignified and classy interview but the bigoted and illiterate cesspit dwellers decide to make things up. It must hurt to see how a respected, championship winning manager carries himself rather than have to listen to Slug McCoists media friendly soundbites to rally his unwashed minions into believing that anyone gives a toss about their rancid club.

6 4

@6. You are being serious about Neil Lennon here? Dignified and classy? You been smoking something naughty then.

Is Paul Murray starting to sound like a wean in a toy shop ?
There is no doubt he has The Rangers at heart, but is his heart starting to rule his business head ?
How is he so sure he can arrange a CVA? so sure he doesnt need or want to check out the worst case scenario? Makes absolutely no business sense and is completely reckless remind you of somebody else?
for a group with limited funds you would think that they would be the most cautious of the 3
either
1) the group have a lot more ££ than their letting on (understandable)
2) they have lost the plot (like many of us) and need to take a step back and get their business heads back on

Believable8 Unbelievable3

I think they might have reached the limit of their financial projections.Rangers made plenty players millionaires where are they? have any of them contributed?

5 1

"How is he so sure he can arrange a CVA?"

Because the value if liquidated is likely to be less or, at the very least, the same +a big unknown. HMRC have to opt for the proposal that gives them the best chance of recovering what they can. Murray has ticketus onboard, so that's covered. HMRC and ticketus, on paper, are likely to have the biggest say on acceptablity of a CVA arrangement.

I know this doesn't sound right, money still owed to the smaller SPL clubs and others etc, but it's a statement of reality rather than a justification of the bad state of affairs.

Liquidation is still a threat if agreement can't be reached, but nobody has any expectation that this would be financially advantages to anyone.

CW is an inconvenience in this, but unless he is prepared to put his hand in his pocket he can be pretty much ignored.

I have just been reading Neil Lennons article , he thinks Celtic will win the champions league and its only a matter of time , he compares himself to Pepe,Sir Alex and the special one ,Tut Tut.

RS

Believable4 Unbelievable12

@RS Another lennon hater.did you read the article? at no time did he compare himself to them. he studies them.big difference.nice to see a rangers fan trusting the tabloids again

11 3

......Aye....foot in mouth disease....imagine claiming your gonna win the Champions league when youve been cuffed by Killie in the last tournament you entered....and ahead of a bottle crashing match up wae Hearts.....never learn!....headlines will be funny on Monday though if they get beat...Tee Hee!

2 9

Can you no read man. Maybe you should
read the article again.

10 2

He isn't lying, The Bhoys will be coming to paradise with the Champions League trophy in the next 3 seasons, and us Tims will hold our heads up high.

GBNL

4 7

He only says he admires and models himself on those managers. he also said you need to dream about the big targets ie winning champions league. as usual with the DRanger it was a loaded question he replied to. they make the headline to suit - the numpties only look at headlines.
ps doubt this will get posted kbt1978

8 2

Reply 4, did you write thst reply from mars, Celtic won't even make last 16, they will be in pot 4, here's a possible draw, barca, bayern, psg and Celtic.

2 7

Oh my god , I just thought I would demonstrate how easy it is to write nonsense , just like the Celtic fans for the last eight weeks .A Lennon hater not me , I do not hate anyone .A few of the Celtic fans really hate anyone that says anything about their club which is quite sad, not the usual tax paying do gooders they make themselves out to be , not really a surprise to us decent Rangers fans .

Rangers have certainly been sold down the river. Where were all these people who are interested in buying Rangers when SDM first hinted he was willing to sell. Nowhere! Even the paltry sums they are offering would have been more acceptable to SDM than £1. Surely they can't all be interested in making a fast buck, cause it is never gonna happen in scottish football. Would like to see D&P make a decision and Whyte to accept what he gets offered and f*** off!

Believable2 Unbelievable6

When are fans gonna understand this is whyte's plan unfolding.Liquidation, fire sale, pocket cash, sell and vanish. the guys pumped ye and never even had to buy a drink!!

14 Apr 2012 10:16:06
Has anyone considered that the SPL may actually be trying to help us out here by introducing the proposed new rules? It means even if we are liquidated and form a newco, that we STAY in the premier league, fair enough with a 10 point penalty but a team like Rangers could and should recover those points fairly easily.

CC

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Of course they are helping you. Old boys
together.

11 1

YEp this amounts to cheating dodgy dodgy
SPL.

11 1

Deffo. but here come UEFA..........

9 0

14 Apr 2012 09:39:04
Still trying to decide wether the SPL are shafting us or doing us a favour by making sure its in nobody's best interests to liquidate the club.
There's just something about the proposals that make a lot of sense.
Also, is bet if we played our youth team for the rest of the season in the hope of not gaining any more points, they'd fine us for fielding an understrength team.
Tom.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

You're assuming our youth team wouldn't be good enough to get any points of course!

3 1

Actually I'm assuming we won't try too hard to gain any more points if it will be to our detriment.

0 2

As long as the players are in your registered first team squad at the start of the season you can play who you like

Who would disagree with post 3? thats the rules

Really don't know why timmy is foaming at the mouth about Rangers parent company being liquidated Rangers football club will still exist in the exact same form it is now just like Leeds utd,Middlesbrough,Charlton athletic,Fiorentina etc.

Rangers will still be called Rangers, they will still play at Ibrox, they will still train at Murray park and the club will still have
formed in 1872 not 2012. The only thing that wont be the same is we wont have any debt.

The Rangers company was not around for at least 20 years after the football club was born so if that is liquidated then it wont change the fact the club has not been.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

But you will have to pay to train at murray park and pay to play at ibrokes!

This along with your lack of income from not playing in europe and lowering in attendances when the glory hunters leave, will severly reduce your ability to attract players!

Lets all face facts....you will be hindered in winning the league for 5-6 years at least!

Darren

4 1

That's like saying you can forfeit on a mortgage and tell the bank they ain't getting their money = House Repossed

2 1

@1 Any lack of income from Europe will be canceled out by the fact Rangers will be out of the JJB,Ticketus and catering deals, plus new shirt and sponsership deals will bring in millions right away most importantly Rangers will be a 100% debt free and it will still be the exact same football club it is right now.

Any Celtic fan foaming at the mouth hoping Rangers are liquidated is stupid, yeah Rangers may not win the league for a few years but after that the club would be stronger than ever. Still don't think liquidation will happen but its not the end of the world or the death of Rangers that some Celtic fans seem to think it would be.

0 0

I personally hope you don't get liquidated, that way you'll have to pay back what you owe......therfore you won't be able to afford big wages. You'll still have to pay to use ibrokes and Murray park. End result....you won't be able to compete with the mighty Celtic!
Bye Bye Rangers!

Just a thought Bears, I feel that we are being attacked from every angle. Now I expect that from the so called selik family but the SFA are kicking us in the teeth good style. What a cheek they have, we are at least 50% of what has kept them in business since their inception, same goes for the SPL.

Now I am not sure on the rules but if we are forced into liquidation and form as a new company why don't we use it to our advantage and sink the boot into the SFA, SPL and the manky family.

I take it if we are a new company we have to register as a new team, if this is the case why don't we register with the FA in England and start at the bottom there? I think we couldn't do this before because we were already registered with the SFA.

If the FA has a rule barring Clubs based in Scotland from registering with them I am sure that this would be classed as discrimination as they allow Clubs from Wales to register and we are part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as it states on my passport.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

You my friend are a plonker The SFA are
bending over backwards for the cheats of
Govan and every decent football fan in
Scotland is disgusted.

What a plonker! how many times.ENGLAND NO CHANCE. pay what you owe and get on with it.

If rangers had to get stripped of titles would it mean all co-efficient earned in Europe for Scottish teams would get scrapped?

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Already being investigated by UEFA and FIFA expulsion from all competitions for knowingly and willingly playing unregistered players at all level including Internationals with the full knowledge of the Governing body (SFA knew) and remember the threat to the Swiss and that was only a club side for a couple of games also with the added bonus of FIFA getting rid of the British Vice President they have wanted out for ages

I'd be surprised if that happened. Too many implications and what-ifs for other teams.

Who cares when "soon" is, i hope the big tax case goes on for weeks or months yet. We've won the League, We're in the semi-final of the scottish cup and we've got players signed for next year.
