Peter Houston?? Lol character No pens for rangers according to him

Believable2 Unbelievable2

This guy is a t**t of the highest calibre. I hope we rattle as many goals as possible against his mob next time we meet. Get it right up him

0 0

After his comments on Sportscene, Houston Is A joke

0 0

I doubt it D United are becoming the new Aberdeen for Celtic Watch this season they will concede around 16 goals against the manky mob Aberdeen will tighten up. Houston is a fool and a poor manager.

Rangers are starting to look better but whats worrying me is the lack of leadership on the park. Davis is a good player and he wears his heart on his sleave but he isn't a skipper. We need someone to get on the players backs when they aren't performing on the park and help direct instructionsaround the pitch and a dont think a saw davis open his mouth once to his squad on saterday. again am not saying hes a poor player, he isn't, but when its match day for ninty minutes on the play its the skipper that drives the squad on, not the manager. maybe am wrong.....buts thats up too you to agree or tell me am full ove it

Believable2 Unbelievable1

It's not just about shouting at team mates it's about leading by example. He's in form and that inspires those around him.

0 0

Looking better?? for f*** sake man, you must be watching pro evo.

0 0

In form don't talk pish I said on here last night that he was shocking against inverness and if edu put in a performance like that he would be slaughtered, davis gave the ball away countless times and bottled out of tackles a good few times aswell and don't talk more pish by saying it's about leading by example the problem these days is if u shout at a player they go running 2 their mammys or their agents these players need 2 grow a set and tell whoever it is who is shouting 2 f*** off and get on with their own game, remember we play in scotland and if u don't fight fire with fire u will get f***ed example the manky mob played us off the park a few games last season big part of this was because naismith was injured come the cup final the wee man was back and he was in there faces from the first minute big jelavic never gave there defence a minutes peace and this is what it's about attitude having a winning 1 example barcelona probably best team in the world why because when they lose the ball they work there balls off to get it back and then they don't give it away usually for a long time, I watch there games every week and if any of there players need shouted at there captain lets them know about it and 2 the guy who posted original point davis did open his mouth it was 2 moan at ortiz because he never read 1 of his s**tty passes 1 more point and rant will be over once big laff is back we will all see a better team on the park because when the big man plays we play further up the pitch because of the closing down he does goodnight

What about having a look at Rasmus Jonsson from Helsingberg. Only 21 and a great prospect. May get him on the cheap.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

How many scouts do rangers have surely we could find some bargains

Everyone talking about signings here. Is nobody concerned about tax implications?

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Yes I agree, I think with all the transfer nonsense as well I reckon we are in trouble.

0 0

Maybe that is why we have not spent any money................. disnae look good fae this angle chaps, I am afraid, very afraid

Yohan Benalouane seems a hot headed player, after a poor performance for Cesena he was substituted. On leaving the pitch, and being jeered by Cesena supporters, he stormed past the bench and headed straight down the tunnel. He later publicly apologised for his behaviour.

Rory

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Here comes another transfer embarassment, we will bid 400k, and make another arse of ourselves

If our no.1 was playing in Spain or England then £20m would be cheap

Believable4 Unbelievable0

We should loan him out for a year or 2 nearing th end of his contract to a english team...this way we will get full market value when we sell him

14 Aug 2011 22:21:14
american boy we got on a pre contract scored two today, aussie saying farewell to his club tom night

Believable2 Unbelievable4

i wish everyone would get off whittaker and edu's back they are going to through a rough time at the moment but surely only encouragment could improve there confidence so come on fellow bears getting off the players back and cheer them on all the way to 4 in a row WATP

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I think the Edu situation is similar to torres'. Confidence is gone and the fans booing don't help at all. Edu obviously isn't the kind of player who performs against adversity.

0 0

Sh everyone would get off whittaker and edu's back they are going to through a rough time at the moment but surely only encouragment could improve there confidence so come on fellow bears getting off the players back and cheer them on all the way to 4 in a row WATP

This 'rough time' has caused us a further champions
league qualifier position So please forgive your fellow bears if we don't share your ethisiasum

0 0

U having a laugh i will never get off whittakers back i have never rated him an never will he cant defend and cant cross a ball always hits 1st man he is rank rotten get rid now

0 0

The rough time never caused us a champions league space - whittakers moronic behaviour caused us that all on his own.

Hi Ed, is there any news on wot is happening with Odonkor? {Ed001's Note - he has headed off to England in search of a contract, he has trials with a number of clubs in the lower leagues on offer to him.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

14 Aug 2011 18:45:24
a few people knocking ortiz when the guy aint played a single minute on his natural side lay off the guy at least till he gets to prove himself on the right his movement and touch are good not much pace but could be an ideal replacement for whittaker

Believable14 Unbelievable3

The guy is a dud looks out his depth Should give fleck/little a chance

0 0

I find it absurd that every man and his dog can see he needs to be played on the right before he can be judged, and Ally keeps ignoring, worries me.

that player rangers are meant to be after tim matavz has scored a hat trick in 35mins what a finisher i hope rangers put in a offer for him ..

Believable6 Unbelievable1

0 0

No he didn't he scored it in 21 minutes 42 seconds 10 milliseconds 52 microseconds 10 nanoseconds 30 picoseconds 3 femtoseconds 26 attoseconds 6 zeptoseconds and 44 yoctoseconds.

God you people are stupid.

Mustavz is valued at about 6 million. End of story.

Was kerkar signed 2 keep bougy happy? If so punt him now, never tht i'd say this but whens lafferty fit?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I think lafferty is Gonny be a masive player for u's this season. Put his stupidity behind him and give u's a whole year of what he have u's in the last half a dozen games last season

0 0

No now we hold Bougys new club to ransom, we tell them that Bougy will go awol unless they sign Kerkar but we are willing to sell for £3 million lol.

0 0

I heard we signed him coz he makes a cracking fry-up.

0 0

How can you knock players who havn,t been given a bloody chance??

0 0

Agree with last reply, who knows, but i do know if given a run out he would give us as much as Edu, and at least let us find out about him.

0 0

So pleased to see someone saying something positive about Lafferty, i am certain if he had played against Malmo we would be through, he is the only guy we have who is willing to run at players instead of this constant short pass that gets us nowhere.

0 0

I'm one who wanted big Laff shipped out the door, so be big enough to change your mind like i have....the big man will be sensational through the middle with Jella, with wee Naisey in behind....big Laff is a different player now, the way he was stroking away the goals at the end of the season was sublime....the big Ulsterman will pick up the mantle and be the top man this season....just watch....

I like danny wilson as a player but is he the answer? we have bartley on loan both will go back2 their clubs at the end of theseason and we will be back at square 1 again, edu sucks my 2 year old would do better, whittker shound never play again after what he done in malmo, how many corners did we waste again yest? ness a class act, healy a waste of a wage alone with kerkar whats the point of having these 2 duds? any1 who thinks we are ready 4 a crack at the league are kidding themselves on, if jelevic and davis get injuried we are in the big trouble, ortiz a poor mans n novo, we are rank rotten

Believable4 Unbelievable3

100% agree apart from ortiz poor mans novo coz novo was rank as well

0 0

Novo was rank, Ortiz is ranker

0 0

Ortiz looks a player to me. dont think he as had a bad game. and he is being played out position. give him a break. agree that there is no point signing wilson. an if the ruomour of edu and auxere are true bite there hand off

0 0

Not seen him put in a secent cross yet

0 0

When you go to work for a new company or new job are you s**t hot from the word go?? and what the hell was wrong we Novo?

0 0

No decent crosses? What about jelas goal yesterday nugget?

Bobby

0 0

He put in a cracking cross in the 3rd min yesterday for jelavic to knock home, but it was ruled offside.

0 0

Sounds to me like you are a 9 inarow fan china, if you think this team is rank I followed rangers through the 70's and eighties and I watched great sides and then the dross in the eighties, SOOOoooo, you really don't know what your talking about. This rank Rangers side are winning titles YA ROOT..... support the team ya f**king DUD, win, lose, or draw. 4 inarow

0 0

I think we must hold on judging Ortiz until the guy is given a chance to play ,anywhere on the right got to be honest this worries me about Ally when EVERYONE can see he is being played on wrong side.

0 0

Give edu a crack at right back he needs a rest tho mibby the suspension will allow someone else to get a run (not jig)he's played without a break for ages
gold cup included

0 0

Totally agree with 2nd last post, i started supporting them in the days of great players like cooper, russell( great midfielder) mcclean etc and was followed by total garbage but then came the souness era when the money was there but it ain,t anymore so get used to it and support us no matter what. Annoys me when players get slagged without getting a bloody chance. Ortez is in a new country, different style of football and you expect him to be Messi, WISE UP

0 0

Ortiz is a very mediocre footballer, but that is our type of targets in the market at the moment, need to just accept that we are being led up the garden path......Novo is/was not top drawer, but is better than what we have or have bought, check out Novo's goals to game ratio, and the wee man could come up with big goals.....i know it was a pen, but how much pressure was on him when he strode up and despatched it into the net v Fiorentina.....i think we need a few wee nacho's, even just about the place.

0 0

People that slag novo have peanut size memories

Sumbody wis posting some utter mince on this yesterday about dundee hibernian being scotlands 3rd catholic team and only beating scotlands 1st catholic team meaning celtic twice in the league or sumthing like that , but hibs were scotlands 1st catholic team founded in 1875 by irish immigrants so least get the facts rite before even writing such a daft post

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Who cares about all these tim teams all i care about is the bears winning watp

0 0

It's 2011 mate. There are no clubs that are exclusive to any certain religion. Who cares?

An example here of what we could do with reagrds to players in/out if the club was ran sensibly and if Craig Whytes promises were true.

Out- Edu £2m, Whitts £3m, Mculloch £1m, Beattie £800k. Total money in = £6.8m.

In- Murphy £1m, Cuellar £2m, A.Hutton £2m, Weiss £2m, Eremenko Free, Mackay £400k, Bedoya £500k. Total spent £7.9m.

This means an outlay of only £1.1m. Obv some of these players would require higher wages but the money Whyte promised for transfers could be used for signing on fees or higher wages.

This would give us a quality squad mixing youth with experience.....

GK- Mcgregor, Alexander

Defence-Wallace,Papac,Cuellar,Goian,Bartley,Weir,Perry,Cole,A.Hutton,Mcmillan

Midfield-
Naismith,Wylde,Ness,Davis,K.Hutton,Eremenko,Mackay,Weiss,Bedoya,Ortiz

Forward-Jelavic,Lafferty,Murphy,Fleck,Healy,Little

The way things stand Celtic have a much stronger squad than us but i just wanted to write this to show it would be possible for us to have a quality squad without breaking the bank.

Frustratingly though we only seem to be shopping in the bargain bin and i think Whytes lack of investment will cost us the guaranteed £12m champs league money we'd gain from winning the league.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Who is going to pay £3mil for whittiker or £1mil for mcculloch ?

0 0

"Edu £2m, Whitts £3m, Mculloch £1m, Beattie £800k."

I've never laughed so much in all my days

Edu £500k, Whittaker £750k, McCulloch £250k, Beattie free more likely

DazzaBhoy

0 0

1.5m for whitts,mcculloch about 200k,beattie a fee to get rid of him-edu 1m tops
hutton 3.5m,wiess 3.5m,carlos pre contract thats a more realistic view

0 0

Ur talking rubbish rangers would be lucky 2 get 500,000 for any of these players

0 0

DazzaBhoy I never laughed so much at your post. You clearly have no sense when it comes to transfers. Bursaspor were offering nearly £700k when Whittaker had a year left on his contract, now he has 5 thus boosting his trasnfer value. Edu for £2 million is the figure most media sources suggest. McCulloch may get about £500k and the same for Beattie.

0 0

Well seeing you never leave a name, afraid you can be responded to?

No sense mate, i have more sense than you'll ever have.

Every in Britain has seen the Debt collectors going into ibrokes so they will never offer decent money for your players

And to the person that said Hutton would return, you couldn't afford his wages

DazzaBhoy

0 0

Dazzabhoy ur lot are saying izzy kayal an hoopr 15 mill so i wouldnt say anything about gers ya muppet

0 0

1mil for mcculloch hey come on I like mcC good blunose but 1mill cmon his best days are. Behind him Beattie White happened to him has he actually ever played...

0 0

Kayal, is only 23, best years ahead of hime......McCulloch is 33

Izzy is ten times the player Whittaker will ever be (doesn't loose his temper and £15m into the bargain)

Hooper rang rings around your defence last year.....remember the 3-0 game at Paradise?

I haven't made out any of these players are worth £15m, that is paper talk. And son your the muppet. Leave your name next time, or aint you got the balls?

DazzaBhoy

0 0

The biggest laugh i have had all week, 2ml for Edu, try to stop the smoking for a while before posting.

0 0

Ahhaha izzy 5 mill at best hooper rang rings round as for 1 game correct what di that game win u ???
and kayal 5 would say 5 mill hooper to just to be kind
and it aint paper talk show me 1 paper that has said they are worth 15 mill each its ur fans on the runners up page that say that FACT

T-Bear

ps thanks for the laugh muppet

0 0

Oh forgot to say i dont rate an never will rate whittaker i would say izzy is 100 times the player he is

T-Bear

0 0

T-Bear your the muppet son

Apart from Jellyfish or McShagger you wouldn't get over £3million for ANY of your players

Izzy, Kayal, Brown, Hooper, Ki all been touted to head south for over £5million on Sky Sports, Newspapers and Radio.

Good job the schools go back this week, your badly needing some more education MUPPET

DazzaBhoy

0 0

DazzaBhoy try Davis for over £5m same for Naismith, Brown wouldn't go for more than £2 million he is out of contract at the end of the season and talentless.

0 0

I'm the guy who wrote the original post and is hilarious listening to the septic fans embarrassing themselves with their pathetic knowledge of actual football. Players don't get values placed on them by what YOU think they're worth or if they've had a few good or bad games. I was completely realistic in my views.

Who would pay £2m for Edu? Eh we did and since then he's been a regular in the USA squad and played at the world and Gold cup Obv he's been on bad form recently but i guarantee you if he goes it wont be for less than £2m. Also Whittaker...had an offer of £1m rejected BEFORE he signed a 5 year deal which boosts his value and we paid £2m for him so we'd get AT LEAST £3m. Again with Beattie we paid over £1m for him and he spent the last 6 months on loan in the premiership. We'd get at least £500k. Mculloch...ok maybe £1m is a bit steep but defo more than £500k for an established premiership, european and international player. Hutton has one year on his contract so again £2m is not unrealistic and Weiss has hardly featured for City and has 1 year left on his contract so again 1 year is realistic.

Honestly if you're going to leave a reply at least have a clue about football first and not be a pathetic celtic fan who thinks every player in the celtic team is worth at least £10m

From a fan who's forgotten more about football than half you idiots know Ross

0 0

Oh well if Sky Sports, Radio & Newspapers say it then it must be true.

Going by the market these days, I would say that these would be fair values:

McGregor £12m- far better keeper than Craig Gordon who went for £9m.

Davis £6m- signed for £3m and is a much better player now, could easily play in EPL.

Jelavic £8m- class act, complete forward and won't be here long.

Izaguirre £6m- good attacking full back, but would get found out defensively down south.

Kayal £6m- good holding midfielder in that Makelele mould. Strong in the tackle, breaks things up and uses ball well.

Hooper £6m- young, fast, good touch and knows where the goal is.

These are the 6 shining lights of our league & we are lucky to have them.

PS Scott Brown is NEVER worth even £3m.

Steven.

0 0

What's all this? Muppet this and muppet that. Yous should all grow up ffs. Shebhoydazza has got alot to say for himself but none of it makes sence. The only player worth £5m in the darkside is izzy the rest lol ha ha ha. Do you never post on your own page shebhoydazza?
Terrybutcherloyal.

0 0

Izzy, Kayal, Brown, Hooper, Ki all been touted to head south for over £5million on Sky Sports - Is this the same players who's bottle totally and utterly crashed in last years run in if I wis gonny spend 5 mill + for any player I would like to hope he could take bit of pressure but all these players have no winning pedigree yet at any decent level ( europe, leagues ect) if a had 5 players with a combined value of 25mill + that you reckon a would expect more silverware than a scottish cup the reason for this mate is ......... wait for it......... theyr actually pish

0 0

Weiss isn't coming back to ibrox..."Roberto Mancini wants to test Weiss in a stronger league before making a decision on his future"

Hutton played 21 games for Spurs last season, so why would Spurs sell him to you's? Plus his wages are more than any team in Scotland could afford

Edu has been slated by even the most devoted of your supporters, so selling him for £2million is unbelievable

Whittaker has had a nightmare ever since you's rewarded him with a new contract.....so who would give you's £3million?

Beattie rarely played 7 games for rangers and scored 0, then went on loan to Blackpool played 9 and scored 0. So tell me who would buy him?

McCulloch is 33, well past his best

Davis may be a decent player, but you continue to play him wide on the right Plus have there been any enquiries for him?

Naismith is another Kris Boyd, scores against the minnows, but can't score when it matters (Malmo in last minute etc)

Jelavis is a player though, well seeing Man Utd are interested.

Get real folks..... no one is going to pay anything near the prices you's ask for your players as we've all seen the debt collectors at ibrox

DazzaBhoy

Disney matter what you or the media value your players at ladybhoy. the facts remain the you have been runners up to us for the last 3 yrs. you have strengthend( alledgedly) year on year to no avail. i couldnt care if they were all worth 50 mil. wont make one blind bit of to us. your club will just blow it on more runners up. taxman or not 4iar. class always rises to the top. rtid

0 0

A player is only worth what anyone is willing to pay, all these figures quoted are speculation. There have been no concrete bids for any of the players mentioned which tells its own story. The only reason whittaker was showing any interest was because his contract was running down and he would have been avaliable cheaper. Nobody has shown any interest in him since he signed a new deal.

P.S I think your all muppets.

0 0

Dazzabhoy, I'd rather have 11 players worth nouwt than 11 worth 15m if it meant we won the league which who won daz?

0 0

Hooper 6p izzaguire 2p kayal nobody would even buy him stokes 4p so Celtic will make 12p out of that
now for the gers
mcgregor 15 million
jelavic 15 million
Whitaker 1 million
brodfoot 3 hundred thousnd
lafferty 2 million
papac 1.5 million
ness 7 hundred thousand
whylde 4 hundred thousand
a would say that is how much these players would cost to buy

0 0

11 players that WILL win the league, you's have already shown you's cant cut it, Hearts and Malmo show that......bring on September the 18th

Hail Hail

DazzaBhoy

0 0

Least we wont be in ruin if we dont get the champs league next year

0 0

At the end of the day, septic didn't have what it takes to win against a bare bones Rangers squad last year so why do you think your going to swan it this year against a Rangers squad that has kept most of it's players that won the league last year and also added to it.

Come 18/09/11 you will realise that Rangers have more grit, guile and determination than Celtic. You can't break us down....4iar

I think we should give our young players a chance:
Perry in for Broadfoot
Cole or Mcmilan in for Whittaker
Ness in for Edu
Hutton in for McCulloch
Wylde in for Ortiz
Hemmings in for Healy

Because they ar just as good as the crap we are playing in some positions

Believable4 Unbelievable0

It's unfair to put the pressure on the young guys, a home game comes with massive pressure and if one on these guys struggled for form their Rangers career would be as good as over because some fans have a tendency to get on players backs and ruin their confidence.

Hemmimgs already on the bench so why would he take healys place on the bench ????

Believable0 Unbelievable1

It's on that daft Premier Sports channel again mate. Boozer a think for it. I refuse to pay more money for that after paying through the nose for Sky Sports and ESPN. Hopefully the rest of the Europa games are on another channel.

Nobody else coming in this window I am afraid except possibly Bedoya and only if we can agree a fee. No raid on Motherwell or Dundee utd for Murphy or Russell. They ain't coming, Both clubs expecting 1 million plus for them and clubs down south waiting for developments. And please no posters about how big a "bluenose" they are, we have seen and heard this with DG, we currently cannot compete with them financially. Soon to be decision re HMRC will shape our season. Have faith and support in what is in place, we will deal with whatever comes when it comes. Still the champions till somebody else proves otherwise.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

How do you know no-one is coming in? You know as much as the rest of us. I have faith thats why I go to games and constantly back McCoist.

I think rangers should put a bid in for johny russell. He looks a great player and would link off jelavic. Every time I have seen the boy he has been outstanding. Great player for the future.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

He's a very talented youngster. Seen him at the Methadome in Paisley on Thursday in that U21 game and he was exceptional. So was the boy Liam Kelly from Kilmarnock and also Scott Allen from Utd.

We are average at best at the moment. We only have 1 player who can change a game and thats big Jel. That Ortiz is slower than a week in the jail. Big chicken gion looks like a no nonsense defender. C-bear is right, that Wylde is pish, flatters to decieve. Edu is having a torrid time of it and should be dropped. We need someone who can pick a pass, bit of invention and another goalscorer. When I was young and playing football, everyone wanted to be a striker, scoring goals, getting the glory. Now I see young kids playing and they all want to be "holding midfielders". Everyone raise a glass to the death of Scottish football. I don't think any side of the old firm will make an impact in Europe. Will be lucky to get to the group stages. Anyway rant over
Billyboy

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Davis and Naismith can change games everyone goes on about needing a midfielder who can pick a pass Davis does it week in week out.

Billyboy1

0 0

I agree Billyboy1 but I think we need a good midfielder for beside Davis. Ness is good but we need other options for me McCulloch is a good squad player and Edu should be sold if possible. I'd like to see Naismith at RM as I think it's his best position. We desperately need someone half decent for LM.

Ref:
I was gonna bring this up on wednesday night after the sellic vs Man Utd legends charity match, i was watching and thought it was quite entertaining, but was totally taken aback when i heard the "ooh ahh up the ra" chant being belted out. now is it just me who heard it, or did the media turn a blind eye to it. if it had been a rangers match and we sang "our banned songs", i do believe that this would of defo made the news and how our fans are the worst. ed any thoughts on this m8?

This is absolute rubbish, I was there and there were no such chants, it was a charity game Put a name to your post pal, or do you not have the guts to put a name to your inane bile? I've heard the chants at Celtic Park before, of course there is, it's there for everyone to hear. I think it's more prevalent at Ibrox though, by a mile - that's why Gers are reprimanded by UEFA and the likes. Not because of Union Jacks and the BNP as the Ed suggested.....ridiculous....Miko {Ed001's Note - no mate you are the one being ridiculous. It is clear that neither club have done anything like enough about the problems, and both clubs still have problems. But this idiotic foolish nonsense that both sides say 'they are worse than us' is the main reason it still goes on. Both sides of the Old Firm need to stop worrying about the other half and get their own house in order. The nonsense you are on about was nothing to do with reprimands by UEFA, as was clearly contained in the post. So why don't you grow up and stop trying to turn what I said into something else altogether.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

I'll happily put my name to this post Miko, and have supplied my full name and E-Mail to the editors. You appear to be on some playground crusade to protect your team from the truth. I, as a Rangers fan was also at the game with 2 Celtic fans and 3 rangers supporting Man Utd fans, and it was a fantastic spectacle. I really enjoyed it. Even though I was in a field of Green. But I can confirm the previous posters claims that there was Pro - IRA chants and songs. Remember Miko, there was 55000 people there, so I doubt you can hear everyone in the stadium? You would possibly have a better chance of seeing and hearing whats going on around you if you take of your green and white glasses and earmuffs. Call my post Inane bile if you would like, but I and 5 others with me, know what we heard, and that includes Celtic fans......ridiculous......yes you are Miko.

Oh really Ed? This is a social issue, what do you make of Saturday's orange walks parading within the vacinity of Celtic Park, a parade that celebrates the massacre of thousands of Catholics, this is deeply offensive and should be outlawed - however I'm sure you know of this already. It's been the case for years and years that Irish Catholics have been victimised in Scotland and these walks support this viewpoint, which then spills into the Ibrox stands. The majority of these people following the processions are all wearing Rangers tops whilst swilling cans of beer - you may say it's by association. I know exactly what the Union Jacks at Ibrox represent, they are an effigy representing hatred and I've seen the majority of supporters waving these at Ibrox on many occasions - I was actually being diplomatic earlier, trying to defuse your irresponsible comments. You'll never beat me over this issue as I could go on all day, you know nothing What you posted earlier was defamatory and you, as an Ed, should avoid getting caught up in these debates - advice you should take on board....Good day to you, you probably won't post this, so it'll remain between our good selves.....Miko {Ed001's Note - what the hell is that to do with any of the points made? You are talking about different issues again. Never beat you over this issue? Don't be such a child, this is not about beating anyone. This is a case of you trying to claim it is only one side that has a problem because you are a blinkered biased fool. Both sides are to blame for the issues, so grow up a bit and stop trying to shift the blame onto others because it is the heads in the sand types, like yourself, that make it worse. Did I once say I agreed with Orange walks? Do I even see that as an issue that should be anything to do with singing songs inside a football ground? You obviously can't distinguish between the issues and that is why you will continue to perpetuate the bigotry. YOU are a part of the problem and until YOU stop trying to defend Celtic fans with this irrelevant 'they are worse than us' nonsense YOU will always be a part of the problem. If Celtic fans were giving a black player racist abuse would your reply be 'well it's worse in Russia'? I guarantee it would not, so why do you think it is ok to excuse the singing of songs backing the IRA by saying that Rangers fans sing worse? It is this attitude that is holding back Scottish football. You all need to grow up and stop fighting over history.}

What a load of rubbish, having been at the game with my 2 daughters, and having taped the game.......THERE WAS NO PRO IRA songs It was a charity event, and the crowd was mostly made up of families

If there had been any pro ira singing the media would have taken great delight in reporting it.

Also it's a bit suspicious that you wait several days to put this up Get a grip son Away back to your playground to start your squabbles.

Both sides have rogue elements in there support, however i think you need to go to get your ears checked

DazzaBhoy

Yeah, ok ed (and boaby), you're talking about a club that refused to even sign a Catholic for the majority of its existence, disgusting DEATH threats against our manager because he's a Roman Catholic from Northern Ireland. And Boaby, you're saying I can't hear everyone in the stadium. You've just backed my point that it's the minority at Celts park, whereas it's the majority at Ibrox, which is clearly audible.

I'm not in denial or naive, I know what goes on at Celtic Park, so get it up yis lol. Rangers have their detractors throughout Europe, FACT.......Miko {Ed001's Note - you are in denial because again you are saying 'but we are not as bad as Rangers' when I have never once said anything other than both sides have a serious problem. It is like talking to a 5 year old who refuses to listen. For the umpteenth time - you are all as bad as each other.}

0 0

Ed your are the blinkered biased fool, you rarely post anything that does not represent your views. Also Celtic have not been in front of UEFA 5 times in the last 6 years for singing banned songs, and dont tell me it's because your mob are getting unfairly treated..,.....it's because you have an element of support that has been brought up to hate catholics

Your snappy response now Ed? {Ed001's Note - my mob? I am not even a Rangers fan, so I am clearly not biased towards either of the Old Firm, I think you both have a serious problem and would never waste my support on clubs that have yet to deal with the issues surrounding you. I am quite sure you are correct with your statement about an element of support hating Catholics, but I fail to see what this has to do with anything. Perhaps you now think it is ok to shoplift because there was looting in England? I doubt it, so why are you continuing to justify misbehaviour by saying others are worse? You need to grow up a bit and realise that your arguments are weak and lacking any kind of merit. I certainly would not dispute that Rangers deserved their punishments from UEFA, but I fail to see how that makes it ok for Celtic fans to sing songs supporting the IRA?}

0 0

Ed , your mob have been dragged in front of UEFA 5 times, wrecked Manchester and embarrassed your real supporters time and time again You weren't even allowed supporters in Malmo

And as Miko said, your mob refuse to employ Catholics even in your canteen The bigoted stuff your supporters spout has been bred by YOUR CLUB since it's existence

And attempting to belittle people by saying they are acting like 5 year olds just shows YOUR mentality

DazzaBhoy {Ed001's Note - my mob employs Catholics and Protestants actually. I am not a Rangers or Celtic fan, nor would I follow either with the kind of sectarian issues surrounding them both. So perhaps you should take off the blinkers and realise that you are trying to justify something by saying someone else is worse. That is not a justification, it is the attitude of a child who moans 'it's unfair' whenever they get told off.}

0 0

Haw Ed, I'll say it again - THIS IS A SOCIAL ISSUE This comes from the home - ie. YOUR UPBRINGING My points are totally valid ya donk FACT Think about it You absolutely should view what happens in Scottish society as EVERYTHING to do with what's sung in football grounds. Why can't you see that? These idiots sing these songs because it's what they THINK they believe.....think Ed, think Post this Ed, I dare you, lol.......Miko {Ed001's Note - dare me? Are you really that pathetic? Clearly it is a social issue because you are looking to bring everything into it, that is why it will not be solved. YOU are clearly incapable of realising that it is just a football match and are looking to drag all the social issues of the day into it. It is no wonder people in England laugh at Scottish football, you all just want to bury your heads in the sand! Have you ever thought that just maybe if you started off by cleaning up your act at the match and making people realise that what goes on, by both sides, is wrong, that just maybe you might get people's opinions changing? It is easy for you to hate a Rangers fan singing anti-Catholic songs, so why can you not see that you are making it easy for them to hate you when you are singing pro-IRA songs? You can't seriously be that stupid, you quite clearly aren't that stupid, so why do it?}

0 0

Well said ed. Absolutely spot on.

Bobby

Who are you to dictate Ed? My opinion is that we are NOT as bad as each other, end of. You're clueless. I warned you not to get involved. You started this whole charade with your idiotic comment...Miko {Ed001's Note - I am clueless? Why? Because I can see both sides of the argument clearly and you can only see one? You warned me? Who do you think you are? Grow up. You are the one trying to defend the indefensible, that is the idiotic comment on here.}

0 0

But we didn't sing ANY pro IRA songs on Tuesday night. That's the point Aaaarrrrgh....Miko {Ed001's Note - I never said you did! But you came on trying to justify the singing of pro-IRA songs by saying Rangers fans do worse things. You were taking a completely different post out of context and trying to include it in this one as a way of having a dig.}

0 0

Personally I think Rangers have done more to stop it than Celtic have. The Celtic hierarchy always do the same 'our fans aren't sectarian' when some clearly are. The BBC revealed Rangers have banned over 500 fans in the last 5 years I think it was, compared to Celtics 5 bans. Miko the reason UEFA haven't done anything to you lot is because you're never in their competitions. {Ed001's Note - Rangers are just as guilty as Celtic for trying to blame the other side though. That statement Martin Bain made last season made me cringe. Once you have your own house in order, then you can point the finger of blame elsewhere, until you do that then you are guilty of being a hypocrite. Bain should have known better.}

0 0

I thought this was a football rumours site ...bigt

0 0

Miko {Ed001's Note - lad you know nothing about me, please don't try and assume things you clearly know nothing about. This discussion is closed, you can't discuss it reasonably, all you have done is insult and abuse and try and shift blame. If you had actually come on and said that the Celtic fans didn't sing it and left it at that would have been different. But instead you dragged in unrelated posts and you are still trying to use them in here.}

0 0

There you go, Rangers have banned 500 bigots, compared to 5 at Parkhead. FACT I rest my case Why am I always right? I must be too good, lol......Miko

0 0

Ed I agree with yor comment about own house in order but there is very little a football club can do to stop this other than tannoys, and bans. Some fans choose to bury there heads in the sand ie. Miko both sets have an element that are as bad as each other.

GovanFR {Ed001's Note - I agree, a football club itself can do very little, it is up to the fans to turn on those causing the problem ie you and Miko need to point out those singing the songs to the stewards and get them banned.}

I'm in total agreement with Ed001. I'm a National list referee with the FA in England, though I am Scottish. I used to be a season ticket holder at Ibrox, until I became a referee, but as I progressed in refereeing, I gave up my season ticket. I still follow Rangers results and go to Scotland matches if I can, but I am embarrassed by elements of both Rangers and Celtics support. It is not acceptable to have groups of people singing sectarian songs, or songs supporting terrorist organisations responsible for the deaths of many innocent people at football matches. It is football, it is a game, the game I love. Football is nothing to do with sectarianism, nor is it a platform for people to sings songs praising terrorist groups. The parents, Grandparents etc of the people who have indoctrinated their own children with this bile and hatred are a disgrace and should be ashamed. I have heard children aged as young as 7 and 8 years old spewing this bile, and it must be coming from their parents. Scottish football will never progress out of the dark ages, until the people who promote this hatred, take off their blinkered glasses and realise that the world moved on, and left them behind in their pathetic little worlds.

Put a post on here yesterday ref PPV tv. Some replies suggest that I am not a true Rangers supporter and should attending all games with a season ticket etc. Living in England, I travelled and attended 6 matches including 1 away match, due to work commitments I did a 660 mile round trip for two European games. If that isn't a true supporter , what is

Believable3 Unbelievable0

A true supporter is someone who backs the team no matter what - whether you attend games is irrelevant -some people cant go to games because of work, family or where they live but if they continue to support the team through thick and thin then that is the definition of a true supporter.

Just watchin MOTD, did the commentator say Sunderland got Wes Brown for £1m. Surely this can't be true?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Yes, but i see what you are thinking and his wages will be 50k + don't think we'd get him

0 0

Me and my mate spoke about that aswell last night unbelievable weve been offering 2million for (injured) Cuellar and 3million for juhasz whos been under the knife with back problems few times , only setback i see would have been bringin him in for 1mill and then he would have automatically been the top earner at the club on his wages but what a player he is and its a great bit of business for sunderland

0 0

Aye mate but he'll still be on about 40k a week

0 0

Wouldn't want him. He looks like a Simpsons character.

Wes brown is as bad as edu

Wouldn't be resigning Danny Wilson on loan myself. That ship's sailed. If he cannae get a game that's his problem, he got his money. Better focussing on the future rather than putting more obstacles in the way of likes of this Perry, repeating past mistakes. Even if he were to make a mistake or two, better to develop your own players rather than someone else's.

If the boy Perry is good enough, give him a run. Hopefully Ally is a better judge than Walter who didn't seem to know his @rse from his elbow when it came to evaluating the talents of the young ones, as evidenced by Danny Wilson when he was a Ranger. He patently was good enough to be playing back then rather than old Davie. That way we might have seen the £5m for him or whatever it is from Liverpool is dependent on appearances, so we'll now never see.

A lot of people saying we need to make a load more signings, I disagree. We spent millions on Murray Park so why not use the players we have coming through?
What frustrates me is in Scotland if a player is say 20/21 we say "he's young and still learning" Do they watch any other football apart from the SPL? In leagues all round the world talented players at 18/19 are established in their squads not mollycoddled cos the managers think they can't handle it

NOW is the time to be playing Hutton, Ness, Perry, Mcmillan, Wylde, Cole, Fleck and Little. These are all talented guys and I'd much rather have them than some guy who we pay a few hundred K for and is on 10k a week.

We only need a couple of quality established players to lead our young talented guys and our already established core. Sadly though as always seems to be the case with us we'll leave them to rot on the bench while we play guff ahead of them (Edu, Mculloch, Whittaker, Broadfoot, Ortiz) and they'll get frustrated and move on somewhere else where they'll blossom.

We have the players we just need Ally to put some faith in them WATP

there's people on here that moan all season then wee win the league and there supporters again well just to tell yous your not real supporters anybody who doesn't support ally isn't a supporter because ally would rip his heart out to see rangers be successful now that is what you call a legend somebody who would do anything for this club {Ed025's Note - good post that mate..

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Just coz he would rip his heart out to make gers a sucess doesnt mean he is a guid manager

Very well said

The guy doesnt say is a good manger if you read the post idiot. It still remains to be seen but he has my backing. All he was saying is he deserves the fans backing. Read the post and think before you post.

I originally posted this as a reply, but I'm re-posting it to clarify things. Ali Russell decides what we offer for players, not Gordon Smith. Smiths role may change to take over that responsibility in future, but it his not in his remit at this present time. The Ref

Believable1 Unbelievable2

It would be better if it was gordon smith doing the transfers in my opinion and see in the interview he was giving he was straight to the point and i respect that more the people saying if but maby and all that s**te he he didnt do that he was straight to the point and a respect that more

To the two people who clicked disagree, you obviously do not know the facts at all. Ali Russell is in charge of transfer fees. I posted it as a fact.100% fact. My source is me, through my work in the SFA and FA. The Ref

What does healy have to do to get a game I would partner him with jelavic till lafferty comes back and put naismith left mid with ness, davis middle and ortiz right mid, whyte when u going to dig deep and bring in quality, I think rangers should have went for routledge who just went to swansea from newcastle for £2M (bargain) and should have tried to get aaron ramsay from arsenal on loan, bentley from spurs loan and seb larsson who went to sunderland on a free, and wee le fondre from rotherham would do a job for rangers.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

To be honest a wouldn't mind if he left ibrox because i don't rate him he is past his best
