14 Aug 2017 18:49:02
Everyone telling us where the problem positions are. We are a decent team. We are still unsure of the manager. Things will look up. We are needing to consolidate 2nd place and decent cup runs. That is a good season. No more to be expected. its still early yet so I don't understand why people are so doom and gloom. Things will get better.

14 Aug 2017 19:25:20
Well said mate! We have made massive changes and I for one are extremely happy with how things are coming together! Poor result v hibs but the sending off a massive turning point! There will be ups and downs but we will close the gap and we will grow as the season goes on

14 Aug 2017 19:48:44
Think we will come good lads as the sending off on sat totally changed the game! The game plan worked as lennon told them to get into us and we fell into the trap, hope the new boys learn from it and kick on

14 Aug 2017 20:07:35
Unless we tighten up then we won't do anything. We are to open and it's too easy to get in behind us and create lots of chances. Motherwell managed it a few times and were unlucky not to get a draw and on Saturday especially with their first goal just shows how open we are. If Hibs and Motherwell can expose us as easily as they did I dread to think what better teams could do

14 Aug 2017 22:44:25
Brian that's why we should go 3-5-2 with wilson alves ans cardoso! It means tav no need to defend as much or wallace, that's where the goals coming from. Would give wallace n tav free roll on flanks (simple) how many managers before they get a grip, it's so obvious

15 Aug 2017 07:50:48
The problem was that we probably couldn't have had a more key player sent off than jack, his role destroying and protecting is a key factor in allowing others to attack.

16 Aug 2017 15:23:17
Been saying for ages now a 3-5-2 would be a perfect fit for us.
As for the We are the people debate,
It acully comes from a line in the Bible, it has no sectarian foundations.
People need to get a grip on this type of nonsense.

14 Aug 2017 18:33:29
We must be the only team in Britain who's fans can't get a team strip at the mo and no indication of away one yet. all these years of waiting now can't get one

14 Aug 2017 18:53:27
October I think new away strip and restock of home

14 Aug 2017 21:11:16
Should be proud of the fact we are the only team to sell out our kits. Even tho it was old stockπŸ˜‰

15 Aug 2017 07:52:55
November I was told in the megastore 2 weeks ago, the way they keep delaying will mean that it'll hit the shops just in time for Xmas. then they'll all b sold out in days! The must have Xmas present this year will be a rangers strip lol

14 Aug 2017 18:13:35
Hi fellow bears and ed can we get a wee poll going please just to see who fellow berad would prefer to start game in the goalkeepers position

Alnwick or foderingham ed please post a would be ever so grateful

{Ed033's Note -

Rangers Keeper Poll

14 Aug 2017 22:47:56
Why is the poll so high against foderingham? The guy has saved us on numerous occasions and are we willing to get alnwick in and if he makes mistakes it will cost us big time! ( big call)

15 Aug 2017 07:57:41
Alnwick should be given the chance in my opinion, a good run of games to see if he is the viable option. He was pretty highly rated down south while at Newcastle.
Fod is a good shotstopper agreed but is not commanding whatsoever. I think a gk should be coming and claiming crosses into the box 9 times out of 10, Fod just doesn't do that at all, very reluctant.

I do agree he has made some fantastic saves that won us games like the save near the end against motherwell.

Alnwick might not be the answer either but should b given a chance to prove himself

14 Aug 2017 17:40:28
Jack on Stokes a red - no, yellow
Was Stokes a red on Tav - Yes
Was Stokes on Jack a yellow - yes. Was the ref wrong - yes.
Should we have lost - prob not.
Was Lennon inciting a riot - yes.
Im a angry - yes, still.
Take it on the chin - hard.
Move on - hard.
Petition - free country.
Pedro will use all of this to his advantage as Alex Ferguson used to. This will give the team the edge they were sadly lacking last year.

14 Aug 2017 18:32:00
Move on mate, we're all starting to sound like that other lot with the "everyone's out to get us" attitude and "the refs a mason" chant

We should be above these petty claims! Onwards and upwards

14 Aug 2017 18:42:03
Lennon was wrong to do what he did but incite a riot?

Really?

Personally I would be ashamed to waste police time by bringing Lennon's behaviour up. They have far more important things to do with their time like fighting real crime. Let the SFA deal with Lennon.

14 Aug 2017 19:06:06
I agree with you Naz, but it would only have taken 1 idiot to get over the wall at NL, and the media would have had a field day. He knows exactly what he was doing, he has previous, not just at Ibrox and needs to be reigned in imo.
Anyway that was last week!
Onward and upward

14 Aug 2017 19:45:53
bil72 Yeah he does need reined in but leave that to the footballing authorities. I'm not defending him but celebrating a goal like that really shouldn't concern the police.

As you say onwards and upwards. Hopefully.

14 Aug 2017 20:11:08
Naz

I agree mate the white le Lennon thing is a joke. He took pesters from the Rangers support and gave a little bit back to say it could incite a riot is laughable. What about the people who shouted and abused him? Surely we can't condone that behavior and language then run to the police because he reacts? Is that what our support has become now? If we are prepared to give it then be prepared to take it back

14 Aug 2017 20:14:44
You all miss my main point. This is fuel to our club. Alex Ferguson was a master of using this type of situation to the teams benefit. He had the Man utd team fired up to the point of paranoia and we all know how that worked out.
Re :Neil Lennon. Had a Hibs fan got pitch side for a few moments and repeated what NL done what would be your response. He is the manager of one of Scotlands top teams and should not behave in such a way. The Police have tough enough job without NL adding fuel to the flames.
PS. Remember Andy Halliday get booked and sent off last year for celebrating a goal towards the opposition Morton fans.
If Pedro was saying onward and upwards behind closed doors to the players I would be very surprised and disappointed. He will have pictures of Lennon mid pose, extracts from hating papers, a life size wax work of Sutton humping Broxy. If you want a winning team and mentality onward and upwards, take it on the chin and oh well, is how Warbuton acted, nice=2nd or in our case 3rd.
I know we all want the best for our club and I respect all of you opinions. I welcome any differing views.

14 Aug 2017 20:42:00
TJBB. I don't agree with some of what you've written and I can't agree with our new found paranoia - but the image you've put in my head re Sutton and Broxi made me laugh out loud.

15 Aug 2017 08:02:39
I reckon broxy would be the giver in that situation! !

15 Aug 2017 11:16:14
"PS. Remember Andy Halliday get booked and sent off last year for celebrating a goal towards the opposition Morton fans. "

Don't remember him being reported to the police, nor a riot breaking out.
Too many overly sensitive fans out there. You all sound like a bunch of weans. Grow up.

14 Aug 2017 15:35:09
Just watching back the highlights, yes the ref had a nightmare particularly when you see how close he was to the Stokes/ Tav incident. but we only have ourselves to blame for the defeat. I feel we are going to lose goals in the vast majority of games unless we can get something sorted out pronto.

Alves has been immense since he came in but what was he doing during their first goal?

The second goal was slightly unlucky but its a goal we should not be losing.

The third goal is something you just have to deal with as you can't stop strikes like that unless Fods grows his arms an extra few inches.

Anyway, we need to take this on the chin and hope the team take the defeat and learn from it.

14 Aug 2017 20:34:05
Lennon was out of order but he's going to give us rubbish back i he's getting abuse . all this police thing is crap suck it up get a bit karma back on him another day.

14 Aug 2017 23:40:29
On the subject of the hibs game it was a great atmosphere Lennon came with a plan and executed it to perfection we fell into his trap and lost our heads, we need to be better than that more controlled as a team unit our first two games have shown up our defensive frailties on the flanks which must be addressed if we are to have any chance of bettering last years result, on the subject of the petition c'mon really what's that all about yes the ref had a shocker but we are rangers fans and with that comes a responsibility to be better than that, leave that nonsense for others to pursue and hold your head up high thanks just my thoughts on the matter

14 Aug 2017 14:49:02
What a morally offended club we have become now we are the supporters that can't stand a manager who celebrates his team scoring against us . we are going all out to be the pariahs of Scottish football we have fans convicted of racial abuse ( sinclair) and fans running after opposition players and yet utterly mortified that an opposition manager should celebrate a goal or a Win. If Pedro now runs the length of the touchline to celebrate a Rangers goal which he does often will 30 or more opposition fans go to cops and complain . this will turn into a farce and of course our morally offended fans can take credit for it all happening. well done. Get a life.

14 Aug 2017 15:07:06
I don't agree with everything you say but the reaction from quite a lot of fans over the past couple of days have in all honesty left me a little embarrassed.

Lenonn's celebration was silly (I was in the main stand) . He was not just celebrating a goal he was goading the fans. However what idiots are so thin skinned to report it to police?

The referee had a poor game, by no means the worst display I've ever seen, but to create a petition?

Let's just focus on our team and get behind them. For me there has been enough evidence to suggest we could have quite a good team this year and I still fancy us to finish second. We all want to win league titles again but second has to be our realistic target.

!

14 Aug 2017 15:39:47
The only thing I would say is that there is a difference between celebrating a goal and goading opposition fans with 'get it up yae' gestures. You can't honestly argue that this is acceptable behaviour for any manager of a football team to direct towards the opponents fans.

Yet again refereeing decisions were laughable at times but some of the reaction like signing a petition is a bit over the top. I thought Caixinha handled it well in his post match interview by inviting the referee to have a look at the footage after the game and to hold himself accountable, without getting into any sort of war of words with the match officials through the press.

14 Aug 2017 18:28:00
The first goal was down to Kenny miller letting the ball run by him. And let's be honest if we dish it out we must learn to accept it

14 Aug 2017 18:33:49
Tbf I hated Neil lennon long before that hibs game!

14 Aug 2017 19:10:08
I have a feeling hearts are going to feel the brunt of what happened in the hibs game. The players should be well fired up to make sure that doesn't happen again

14 Aug 2017 19:11:00
JohnnyG, the most sensible post on this matter on these pages. Its all turned into a circus, someone really has to have a word with whoever allows the press releases by your clubs supporters group. Maybe an idea to put a warning on season tickets, telling fans that some of the language and actions "may offend" just to cut this easily offended mob ( which all clubs have) out.

14 Aug 2017 20:15:38
JohnnyG

Yeah good post mate and it's embarrassing that one of our supporters groups has come out calling for police action against Lennon. The abuse given to him was shocking yet the supporters club neglected to mention this and went onto praise the support. Some fans were happy to dish out abuse but get offended when someone gives a little back.

14 Aug 2017 12:23:40
So! Hearts at the weekend, Wats the bets on lafferty coming back to haunt us!? I get the feelinget lafferty and walker r going to play a blinder and cause us a lot of problems! Both have a point to prove.

14 Aug 2017 13:44:29
nothing like a bit optimism mate! even if lafferty did have a blinder still doesn't mean he was was ever good enough to come back to us. the very fact he wound up at hearts shows his level!

14 Aug 2017 15:30:53
Just got a sneaky suspicion is all, that kinda thing always happens

14 Aug 2017 12:22:40
just seen the incident with Ryan Jack red card.
Its easy to blame referees sometimes and while the often get criticised wrongly sometimes, it's game like Saturday that infuriate the hard working folk that pay good money to see a fair contest!
First, Stokes on Tav in first half was worse that Jack red card incident. Stokes actually had him in a head lock, The tackle on Dorrans from behind was also not pretty and while Jack shouldn't have rushed in, all he did was barge the guy out the way. Then for Stokes to throttle Ryan Jack and not get booked again is a mystery! If Jack got sent off for "a head butt" then stokes has to be guilty to as started it all.
Shocking refereeing, not one out of 4 seen this. All I want is consistency!

14 Aug 2017 11:32:18
Why are people so concernd with walker is he signing etc etc

Wether he signs or not does not faze me i'm more concernd with what happens on the pitch just now and the players who are already wearing the gers badge just now

Players come players go walker ain't going to sign for rangers and the rest of scottish football are going to say may as well give rangers betfred cup prem league an scottish cup they signed jamie walker fae hearts

1 man does not make a team rangers need a quality squad all the way from goalie to forwards and signing jamie walker ain't going to fix every position on the pitch

wallace good player captain 1st player at admin to say after 5 mins were do i sign deserves all the respect and support from our fans our club for what he has done for our club but gets slated on here

Mckay waghorn haliday (loan) kernian garner etc done there time now moved on i wish them all tbe very best but it now time to stand up and support the players who are at rangers not slate them.

14 Aug 2017 12:34:05
We're concerned with signing Walker as he is 1 of the top talents in Scotland, he offers something different that we currently lack. I would like us to be a club that snaps up homegrown players before they go down south

Sick of our country best talent going down to play for Diddy league 1 teams ( I know those teams offer more money! ) But how can ouread game develop all our best players go to these teams then end up getting sold on at massive profit

I read the other day that a championship team was ready to offer something in the region of Β£8m for Marvin Johnson ( I know he's english) , my point is! What fee did Motherwell get for him? 250k? Free transfer? ! even if Motherwell had received 1 or 2 million then that money would have been reinvested in our game by them buying other young Scottish players.

I bet you by the end of season Liam Boyce will be touted around for 7 or 8 million if not more

14 Aug 2017 13:02:53
Sorry for the rant but I just think Scottish people are so negative about the Scottish game whilst small English teams cherry pick our best talent for next to nothing! ! Anyone remember Ross McCormack for instance! !

Oops there is going again!

14 Aug 2017 14:06:39
Money not in the game here players getting double of someone like sheff wed . norwich. ipswich etc why they go better standard of football better quality of teams to play no disrespect but you would rather test yourself against forest. villa. sundrland. reading. etc than east fife. stirling. elgin etc etc . But my personal opinion scottish football bringing threw they youth etc has died since scottish farce association done away with u21s league etc

Rangers 1st team away to aberdeen not everyone can afford to go an take kids etc when years ago all you done was pop along to ibrox watch the u21s etc pay Β£5 a head for instance that wae more kids going to football club colects extra few quid and all the young talented lads are playing week in week out instead of training all week and most sitting at home watching soccer saturday with jeff sterling

15 Aug 2017 09:15:47
Kaymer,

My point is tho if we were to invest in our own players then sell them off for a profit and then reinvest the money again on another promising youngster from Scotland the money would start to come back into our game. Spread the wealth and all that

14 Aug 2017 08:06:20
Any news if PC is going to appeal Jack's red card?

Also, A group known as Follow We Will has started a petition to 'halt the anti Rangers culture' within the refereeing in Scottish football.

I know the rest of Scottish football will laugh, bus as a neutral football fan that follows rangers in Scottish football I think they have a point! . I've seen so many games where important decisions haven't gone owe way at crucial points of the game. Where as there is a definite leniency shown towards whoever it is we are facing. This happens too often.

I'm just picking up a sense that other clubs (and some officials) . are more up for keeping the gears down than they are knocking Celtic off their perch. Let's face it, would Hibs be up for it like that against Celtic? . Aberdeen didn't show up once against them last year (with any desire) . yet when they played us it was their final.

Would love to hear other peoples opinion on this?

14 Aug 2017 08:56:25
A neutral fan who follows rangers! πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ priceless!

14 Aug 2017 09:35:31
My god it was a red card that probably shouldn't have been yes it changed the game, it happens in almost every single football match that gets played, I don't agree with all this petition nonsense, I do believe these decisions even themselves out over a season, let's just dust ourselves down and get on with it and move on

14 Aug 2017 09:37:50
As a neutral Scottish football fan who follows Celtic , your having a laugh right , I will grant you stokes should have went as well but sportscene quite clearly showed jack head-butt him so he had to go .

14 Aug 2017 10:25:58
Head but my arse handbags as a neural rangers fan lol I will take this on the chin suck it up I'm sure will show his hairy arse in future and even things out . thems the breaks

14 Aug 2017 10:28:52
It was hardly a headbutt they touch heads (both players) what about stokes thinking he was the undertaker and lining up a choke slam?

14 Aug 2017 11:52:44
sick of this ma dug is bigger than your dug crap

refs make mistakes- happens to us a lot yes but let's get on with it

Pedro is doing well and has unearthed some players who will make us stable again

14 Aug 2017 12:03:07
Sorry. Maybe me English class s not correct, I am Vietnamese. I have supported Man United all my life, I started the follow rangers in MW first season in charge. Do I say ' neutral supporter'? How else can I say? . "they are my second me team"?

And I hope they do even themselves out overtime. Thank you for all responses.

By the way, why is my written English a lot better than most of you on here? πŸ˜‚

14 Aug 2017 12:38:55
Good on u joelfish! ! Nice to see support from abroad! I think Lh86 should feel a little ashamed now!

Apology Lh?

14 Aug 2017 13:12:18
Thank you but no apology necessary. I like reading everyones response. Its a good thing that many view this like, "It happens but we'll come back". . . Very good supporters!

14 Aug 2017 13:15:15
stokes should have been off straight away ripping tavs shirt and wrestling him to the ground but jack wehat pull sum1 out the way and its a red?
no consistancy although having said that we need to get our finger out because hibs will finish second if we don't get better in the second half its okay starting on the front foot but u have got to stay that way or well look at the motherwell game we nearly got beat

14 Aug 2017 13:53:46
Ashamed for whit blue baws? Somebody saying they'r a neutral but they follow rangers, then proceeds to question if clubs like hibs and Aberdeen try enough on the pitch! I couldn't give a monkeys where this guy comes from, just don't say your a neutral then say I follow rangers and put the boot into other clubs? Out of interest jolefish, where abouts in Vietnam do u catch the SPFL games?

14 Aug 2017 14:26:40
Canny appeal it it was a red card scottish farce association will show cam from copland rd straight head butt

14 Aug 2017 14:32:25
Jolefish your english is amazing on your 1st post but you seem to lose it on your 2nd post awe well maybe next time we will understand you if you write german or so

14 Aug 2017 17:57:06
Joel I smell something fishy right enough writing in broken English for the first paragraph then perfect English and punctuation for the next paragraph , hmmmmm . Like the man asked which channel you watching the spl on in Vietnam ?

15 Aug 2017 14:40:36
Actually lh86 I reckon it is me who owes u an apology! I have just re- read the post, yip I Joel is mibbe at it here!

15 Aug 2017 23:37:51
No apologies needed bluebaws, something just wasn't quite right about Joels posts mate! Very strange lol!

14 Aug 2017 05:46:52
anyone who has signed this petition to complain about refs should be ashamed of themselves what a load of s**** being fed up with anti rangers refs aye he had a howler on saturday but accept it happens and move on never mind crying like the manky mob canny believe this has happened it heard it says they are fed up with anti rangers refereeing and its being going on to long p*** i canny remember a game where i felt the ref was being so one sided except for saturday but these things happen deal with it

14 Aug 2017 10:39:56
Have to say I'm actually with u on this one! Refs are only human too and are as prone to mistakes as players are! They get absolutely lambasted when they get it wrong. I'd love refs to be right all time like me

14 Aug 2017 10:51:59
Spot on OP. If you sign that idiotic petition then please don't call Celtic fans paranoid or come out with the 'Always Cheated, Never Defeated' line.

Decisons go for and against teams every week. Live with it.

What do you want, another referee's strike? And we all know who caused that rather shameful incident and disapproved to a man at Ibrox.

14 Aug 2017 13:17:46
listen mate stokes put tav to the ground and ripped his shirt yet the he and tav both get carded what did tav do and then stokes runs up to jack put his head up against him and jack is sent off with nothing happening to stokes its not a howler when its obvious biast the ref was less consistant than mckay is as a footballer
