Just think as well, if we think our clubs in a bad state, wait till next year, it'll be even more worse, and I no that half that team shouldn't be anywhere near Ibrox, but they are, end of, but the worrying thing for me is, there's about 9 players up there with their contracts up at the end of the year, yeah good news, but reality is, there's no scout in place, no money in place, no one aloud near the club that wants to help out, help has been turned away, so next year so far looks like, no money, no team, no one aloud in to put investmemt into the club! McCoist is never a manager, but the guy should get an MBE for even staying there with all the shxxe that is happening, but he's not helping the fact either! RANGERS SUPPORTERS EVERYWHERE ARE HURTING, but it's only goney get worse!! Ill say one thing tho, it won't and WILL never stop me supporting them!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He deserves an MBE for staying at Ibrox. backing Green and Whyte and pocketing a fat salary that he tried to hide the scale of from the fans, the details of which he also claimed he had not even read etc etc?

Anyway he has already has an MBE.

0 0

I have mixed feelings about McCoist but what I don't understand is the criticism about not speaking out against his employers - why would any manager do that in public? If and when he goes, that is the time but I can't help thinking that his tongue will be strapped by lots of legal tape.

0 0

{Ed039's Note - When/if he goes he will be offered a pot of gold for his autobiography thats for sure)

Good article in the Sunday post, it's a letter from Gorden smith to ally mccoist,

0 0

I really don't get this "paying him to keep quiet" that would suggest he has witnessed criminal or share price affective activities, and by accepting any payment would make him just as liable to prosecution. My respect for the man is greatly diminished, but I do not think he would knowingly leave himself wide open like that. I think he wants the money per his contract and no more, I don't know why they don't take him to tribunial.

0 0

@3 George123, good article and very well put but I can think of 800,000 reasons why ally will chose to ignore it.

0 0

Blue velvet it's not before time some one came out and let ally know how most of us feel about his stewardship, it makes a big change one of our own telling ally so, as most ex rangers players say they still back ally, and always always say he is doing a good job.

0 0

@6, George123, spot on, I'm sick of the old pals act and "ally's done a great job working with one hand behind his back BS, blah, blah, blah. " Andy Gray was the latest last week. Naw Andy, ally's done a crap job and been very handsomely rewarded for doing so and if he had any pride he would do as Gordon Smith says.

Gkk has just said on a previous post about some great game's and great memories that made the hair's on the back of his neck stand up and it got me thinking about what my great memories are. After a good wee think I'm plumping for the night we beat Dynamo Kiev 2. 0 at Ibrox in the European cup, I was standing in the west enclosure that night and can remember no one wanted to leave the stadium that night, young kids to grown men were crying, what a feeling. anyone else care to share their great memories.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Mo Edu scoring in the last minute against Celtic for me, I was in the East Enclosure and the place went mental and this isnt a dig at the anyone who sits or has sat there but the EE isnt the most vibrant of atmospheres in last 10 years)

14 Dec 2014 17:14:05
Got to be 73 cup final when Forsyth scored, although I didn't see the ball going in because it erupted when the ball rolled across the line LOL or Juve 2-0 when Ibrox was being built(as is)I cried like a baby.

0 0

I don't know if anything can beat 2-0 Aberdeen at home to win the league hard to pick there's been a few for me 6-1 Dunfermline to win the league. Leeds in 92 but first ones my top one I reckon

0 0

Lee mccullochs equalizer against Celtic in the 90 minutie 2 minutes after they had scored

0 0

I flew up from London the morning of the 2-2 Butcher/woods/mcavennie sending off game, I had no ticket, got in a fight with one of the leave early brigade, managed to get a ticket stub and blagged my way in at half time. the roar the moment the equaliser went in is for me the loudest I have ever heard in 50 years seeing RFC that plus the Roberts Choir Conducting was awesome, I was at the Davie Cooper Goal match so that and Sandy Jardine's goal, the 6-1 Arteta league win last game, the 3-0 in 9 mins and the helicopter Sunday Hibs 1-0 and mcdonald scoring 2 v celtic. those my highlights. . george

Gc1981. that game with the hateley double, I was actually at Torquay v York that day, the game started a bit later because a York player had died the week before so there was a minute's silence, when it came through on someone's radio that Rangers had won the league I let out one massive roar, not only were fans a bit bemused but both the Torquay & York players were looking over at me wondering what was going on as I was going mental, I always wore a Rangers top when I went to any English games (still do)so people realised we were champions, I became a wee bit of a celebrity that day at plainmoor

0 0

The Battle of Britain games against Leeds were really something special

0 0

Gkk, I agree on both of your games and would add the 3-1 win against Dundee in 1963, but Kai's winner v Celtic in the Wednesday cup final replay is etched in my mind.

0 0

It's got to be the goal by scott McDonald against celtic scored late on that allowed our draw with hibs to be enough to win us the league in 2005,

0 0

{Ed039's Note - We beat Hibs 1-0, Novo scored the only goal)

4-4 against Celtic in 86 when I lost my voice for following 3 days! But will never forget the final day against St. mirren in 87 when Souness gave us first league after think it was 9 years of trying. Got crushed at front of old enclosure then got thrown on track and ended up in centre circle with everyone else in tears! Special memories.
In tears now but for wrong reasons. . come on Rangers let's be great again!

0 0

Ed thanks for the correction, if I remember hibs could not afford a big goal difference as that would have stopped them from getting into Europe that year, it's wee bits like this testing my memory that let's me know ime getting older lol

0 0

{Ed039's Note - Last 20 minutes was just played out, nothing happened at all, ball just moving along with back 4 and nobody really commiting to anything, I think it was a scoreline that suited both sides so I think you might be right on the goal difference thing)

Thanks all for sharing your memories, it was great reading your post's and in everyone of them I've had a great wee trip down memory lane, that's why I'm proud to be a Ranger, and to the who have ripped our great club apart you cannot take these memories from me or the thousand's of other bears, and long after you have gone we will create more and more wonderful memories for generation's of Bluenoses to come.

@9 CypriotGer, I'm with you, the 4-4 draw with Celtic at Ibrox. Amazing game and will live long in my memory.

Reports coming out today appear to back up what I was told on Saturday Ally McCoist will be away by Thursday not to keen on Billy Davies though but can only be better and if it's true hope the next manager is no Lackie to the board which I doubt!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Billy Davies isnt the man because he likes a fight with owners)

14 Dec 2014 16:57:54
The outsider that has come in from 66-1 to 10/1 is Steve Clarke who has worked with Ashley I would have no problem with his choice I just hope Ally goes he is too close to the problem and blinkered in his player choices putting it mildly .

0 0

Billy Davies not for me. Steve Clarke everyday of the week for me

0 0

{Ed039's Note - Sorry just reading previous posts but when did Steve Clarke work for Ashley? He was at Newcastle around 1999-2000 when Ruud Gullit was manager)

Dennis Wise as top man with Joe Kinnear as coach. . . .

14 Dec 2014 18:56:25
Apologies Ed your correct a bit early for Ashley he was there as you stated

0 0

14 Dec 2014 22:11:15

14 Dec 2014 15:04:06
Ally has had a 14 million pound training complex in murry park and a 7 million pound wage bill oh aye and £850,000 a year then dropped his wage to a mere £400,000 a year to beat part time clubs it wasn't good enough I hope we get billy davies he's been around the block now learned from his mistakes and I think he could pick out players from england like celtic have dine in the past foster hooper mathews ect and his teams always pass the ball not thw long ball to a big striker ie daly what you think bears

Believable0 Unbelievable0

14 Dec 2014 13:01:44
You lot need to grow up you don't have a clue what you are talking about you just let your blond hatred of mc coist numb your brains what he has had to handle in the last few years none of you would have been able to handle he stayed when all the rats deserted the sinking ship althoug he might not b up for the job he has stood by is through all the s*** that's been through at him from the crooks and so called fans real fans close ranks and do their best for the club and you ate doing more than any one to harm the club

So instead of oppening your hob and spouting all your bile tty and do something possative to help the club there were better players he tfyed to sign but they wouldn't come because of were we are and when young players do get on the first bad game they have all we here from you lot os he isn't gets class van name a lot of young players that got that treatment from youse and went on to other clubs and proved you all wrong but not hot the time I've even heard on here from some fans on here saying cloud isn't as good as we think lol just shows how fickle you ate

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - this is just mindless gibberish. McCoist has had it easy, I am sick of this crap about him having a hard job! The man is making huge amounts of money for being utter crap as a coach and as a manager and idiots still want to defend him and cry about how he has stood by his 800k a year pay packet! It is you that is in need of growing up, McCoist doesn't give a monkeys about anything other than his money.}

14 Dec 2014 13:33:21
I think they call that gobbledigook.
Correct ed,poor wee Ally has had a very very tough time of it,and only 15 grand a week to compensate him for his suffering.

Are you for real pal, to use one of bigcol's quotes I'm also away to wring my y fronts out after reading your post.

Geo are you on the Buckfast this afternoon? McCoist was paid £800k for managing a full time club with 53 players.same in division 2. He has now dropped his wages to £400k. He is by far the best paid manager in Scottish Football. He had come out and supported every director who has come into the club and paid his salary. At least Walter Smith had the decency to see that he did not want to be associated with the way Rangers were being run. He has consistently ignored what is happening. He is even asking for a war chest in January to buy more players? How can he not see that the club needs to cut back and live within it's means? I bet you also stood and supported Whyte then Green then Wallace and now McCoist. How many times are you going to remain blind to truth? McCoist like the rest is playing his own game for his own benefit. If he is unhappy then walk awY. If not shut up and get on with it.

0 0

Hahahaha hohohohoho hehehehehelololololololhahahahahaha pissing myself hehehehehe loolol. brilliant geo I love your type of tongue in check sense of humour. you actually could not possibly be serious obviously. . george

0 0

That has got to be a winde up!!i would be the first to admitt that rangers fans are sometimes quick to condem players and managers but cmon. the dross we have watched for three years has been painfull and the only man to blame for that is super salary and his band of merry mercineries.

0 0

Well said Ed. Spot on the money (pardon the pun). Ally was ok as an assistant and I am sure he kept the players (Scotland and Rangers) in good spirits. He is just not good enough for the big step up and has proved it.
Look at the difference between Ally as a player and QOS panelist, chirpy, joking etc. look at him now - shoulders slumped looking like a rabbit in the headlights and totally out of his depth. Shame really but he has been grossly over paid for doing a very poor job. Time to move if his ego will let him.

If you have a business that is struggling for money you would not go out and get expensive equipment ie Miller, Boyd, it is ridiculous business since. How can being drip feed cash as loans be a better choice than the 16 million that king and his consortium offered. How did liverpool get there club back they went to court so the owners had to sell?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

14 Dec 2014 08:40:10
its now past time to end boycott dinsdale and doug have not got money to put in ashley looks the only option because if king really wanted control laxey could be bought out for not a fortune the agm will turn into a slanging match with no positive results the only bright point lately rangers first have 600000 shares which is really not much good but I think the boycott should end to at least keep the club alive and every one gets behind rangers first supposing its only £5/10 a month because self control is the only sure way forward does any one now how many shaes other groups own u o f and the rest

Believable0 Unbelievable0

14 Dec 2014 09:48:51
That's up to you WULL,but me or mine will not set foot in the place until I hear concrete plans from someone plausible on the way forward, nor will I pay to watch those non-triers lump endless high balls up the pitch.I'd rather put my money in a kitty to give the workers a party the way I feel.

0 0

End the boycott. ?? That you Mr Easdale? Having a laugh aren't you!

0 0

14 Dec 2014 11:03:06
With the boycotts continuing, still no cash coming in so how do we go about replacing the useless non triers who are there just now, play the youth no chance they haven't got it either so with boycotts and the like we will continue to morph into a middle of the road club and become glory hunting fans turning up for cup finals every once in a while as the eastend mob win 10, 15 in a row, boycotts do more harm than good. still can't believe we have had 3 years to do something & the best we can offer is let's boycott & starve the club of much needed cash whilst so called lesser clubs fans get together with one prominent figure at the head and take over there clubs
r. f

0 0

Rangers are in this mess aswell because fans kept throwing money at the spica believing they were the "saviours" if the boycotts happened at the start when all the doubts were raised then none of them would have been in there in the 1st place! Send them into admin and let a Rangers man get the club or at least someone with the best interests of the club takeover cause 100% it will be scrutinised from top to bottom

0 0

14 Dec 2014 12:03:48
For the life of me I can't understand fans wanting administration why can't we get together with one prominent figure king, lathem, Kennedy, souness anyone with the club at heart even better all four with the fans and they would have the fans backing, and buy the majority shareholders out because as long as the club is being given a lifeline by ashley then they are going nowhere & who knows what his end game is but if he continues with loans for assets were does that leave us if his intentions for the club are not what we want as you can bet your life it will cost a substantial amount to get the assets back than it would to buy out the major shareholders now.

Gkk. i'm hitting sixty. I've been thro the lows the highs and the great times like yourself mate. but to have to go thro this circus is soul destroying. my nephews, my grandsons keep asking me what's happening to our great club. it breaks my heart that I can't give them the answers they're looking for. gkk. great idea for the staffs XMAS party I'd glad donate the price of my family's match tickets to that mate. can't money be donated from the fighting fund. rant over. merry Xmas and hopefully a happy new year to all the staff kicked in to touch by these bustards

0 0

Green and white caused the mess dinsdale and doug don't have the funds king wants all for nothing if the boycott does not end rangers will join third lanark its now past the time iif they get rid of macoist everyone on is shouting about the sale macleod and wallace its the boycott that's forcing this we are almost past the point of no return and any one who thinks king will ride to the rescue are deluded the way it stands just now get rid macoist end boycott support ashley or nothing the people who say your having a laugh what is there plan to save the or are they like alex salmond no plan b because from where I am sitting that's the way it looks

0 0

In fact let's here what all those who still want to starve the club of funds what's their plans are after they sink the club

0 0

14 Dec 2014 14:23:00
@6 I'm 58 Billyboy and like yourself grew up watching Celic win 9 in a row and the European Cup,and suffered the dark times of the early 80s,but with some tremendous times and memories that still make the hair on my neck stand on end. It was about the football then. I recently made the decision not to go back and I am totally heartbroken.I'm getting the same questions mate from the wains, when are we going back?what's happening to Rangers?I've a lump in my throat trying to give them answers(my eyes are welling up now)I don't know what to tell them.Hope you have a good Xmas mate, and better times ahead.

14 Dec 2014 14:29:28
BIGWULL we the fans will not sink the club and that is a fact the board have a choice and hear is my opinion why the fans should not be blamed I appreciate every ones opinions and decisions but I can not understand why sum fans are still blinded there is a serious fraud investigation going on to what has been happening at our club yet u still want to pay more money into the fraud its astonishing
we can force change buy not giving them the cash ashley will back away because he knows fans will not turn up to games so he won't get his money back so then u would be left with current members and they do not want to invest in rangers we then leave them two decisions sell the club to people who are willing to invest in the club or put the club into admin which should never happen as we all no there is alternative funding available and I am sure Ashley would not want club to go into admin due to his contracts with club so if they chose admin it will not be the fans fault like some people keep saying it will be the boards fault they have a choice

0 0

14 Dec 2014 14:50:12
When will people realise the people under investigation are not on the current board, and as far as I can see are only guilty of paying themselves & others wages they can ill afford now that's not defending them that's fact as for the boycotts tell me one positive they have achieved as the boards still there & its forced the club into accepting loans from someone were we don't know what his intentions are plus we have lost that fear factor at Ibrox were the crowd was the 12th man.

Craigs8688, Although you, like the bulk of us, detest what has gone on but we must let the criminal investigations sort that out. We are where we are, and basically we cannot re-write history. I am 63 and totally agree with Billyboy and gkk and went through the same traumas as them. I can also see where BigWullie is coming from, but the only way forward is to unite behind a common cause, the Glasgow Rangers.
Take away all the peripheral crap and deal with where we are.
1. We are playing s*** football under the guidance of amcc.
2 We are skint.
3. We have no leadership in financial management, team management, on the park or on the terracing. [ albeit we sit down now. ]
The one thing that has not changed is the fan's passion for our club and that has got to be the basis of the way forward.
In cards you can only play the hand you have been dealt and, in my humble opinion, Ashley has got all the aces. So I would suggest we go with him, while chipping away by buying shares. Re-structure the supporters association and support the team.
Again, in my opinion, amcc must go on gardening leave immediately and a director of football be appointed asap. Someone that would not take any crap. Souness would be my first choice but I don't think Wise would be that bad.

0 0

Rf 100%they do not understaand that dinsdale and doug are not the culprits they may not be sharpest tools in the football box and as I have said they don't have the money there bus buisness may be doing not bad but if u look at it it has no sustance they don't have the funds we don't know if king has the funds we know ashley does have the money but no one knows his plans and don't like him but the guy he has put on the board has a good reputation ashley has made newcastle a good buisness when he took over there they had problems worse than rangers he chopped all the highly paid duds so I am prepared to give him a chance but I will allso carry on with my support for rangers first they at least are different from rest of factions do things democratically the rest when kings shouts jump the answer is how high but there leaders have delutions ot grandeur and glory

0 0

14 Dec 2014 16:22:39
good points billyb mccoist must go now that's common sense we the fans have sat back far to much now whyte green stockbridge mather wallace the list is endless now we are expected to sit back and give ashley a chance there is talk of him pulling the plug and not lending any other loans I am only 26 but I run my own business and I no for a fact if I did not have the funds to run a business I would put it up for sale and move on this board/owners need to learn to do the same come out in press put a price on it and am sure there would be interested parties with funds to take us forward ashley ain't the answer he is robing us of funds lewis meant to sold for 1miilion to Newcastle and guess what we don't get the money because we already have it in the shape of 1 million loan no wonder ally wants to leave when things like that going on

0 0

Craig8688 yes there is a investigation going on but its no the present regime being investigated that's what u fail to understand its not whyte or green u are hurting now its the club not anything else we want rid of macoist we want rid of certain players we want another manager none of this can happen with the attendances at the minute think on how u would feel if the club goes to the wall due to the boycott because if results get wors then get humped by celtic where will it end only one way rangers no more king has had many chances and taken none of them even at this stage laxey would take 15 p a share I remember al the talk the blue knights and king had instructed goldmans to buy as many shares at 22p as they could the price has now fallen much less and how many have they bought as jose says zero ashley is the only man in town so craig u and the starve them out brigade think on because right now u are ones who are hurting the club green and his cronie whyte and duff phelps they are all in the past the present damage is all down to the boycott and macoist and unless there is money from somewhere as the say ing goes the end is nigh because they won't raise £8 million in the share issue

0 0

Dont see any posts from the starve them brigade about how they wil save the club looks like a bad case of tunnel vision and salmonditis ie no plan b

0 0

Billy b only thing I disagree with is the garden leave bit it should be locked in a shed in the garden for a year

0 0

Salmonditis. now who's talkin rubbish!clearly your happy to fill the pockets of the owners

0 0

None of the present regime have had there pockets filled with money any share holders have lost money I asked what your plan is to save club not a repeat of the same old same old we are here today the present
