Think we should look at Chris Cadden of Motherwell can play right-wing centre mid or rightback we need cover in rightback but Martin can play there
Also need cover on right-wing

14 Jan 2018 23:21:12
Been hoping for a while we would make a move for cadden he's very versatile and has a great engine! Feel he would keep tav on his toes and run him close for starting spot! Definitely an upgrade on Hodson! The wee fella gives his all but he's not Gers class

14 Jan 2018 23:56:54
Cadden is a good player mate and well worth a look at, Motherwell would hardball is though as their Chief Exec is a mug. Also I like Candeias and think he is our beat bet wide right on the wing unless we play a diamond and Tav has that covered, one for the future though!

14 Jan 2018 22:13:08
The thing I like about Cummings is that he has swagger and is a big game player, the boy literally thrives on a big stage, if it is indeed a loan with a £600k option then it is an excellent deal for Rangers and definitely balances out the McKay deal the other way, but it’s a big IF.

15 Jan 2018 00:16:53
Cummings will score plenty of goals for us with the service we can and are currently providing into the final third of the pitch - a goalscorer and can add support to Morelos or as impact sub - great signing -

15 Jan 2018 04:57:51
Cant understand the Cummings, big game player hype. Can't remember him playing in the SPL, only the championship. Loan deal is the wise way to go with this one. If only we did the same with Pedro's signings.

15 Jan 2018 18:14:47
Cummings on loan definitely good move only scored barrel load in championship were as ok he done the dirty but naismith is proven spl etc scorer i no who i would go for out the 2 of them if you need goals

15 Jan 2018 18:16:10
And on naismith i think he will end up at celtic if they sell dumbele

14 Jan 2018 20:53:22
So what can now be said for all rumours that Derek mcinness was told he had no money to spend. Plain and simple he shat himself to take on a big job.

14 Jan 2018 21:07:07
Aye we dodged a bullet with DM. Wee bit of pressure and he would have collapsed like a cheap deck chair

14 Jan 2018 21:11:18
Definitely, king has made a smart move asking walter for a hand though, could be the difference we needed, time to dust off the brown brogues

14 Jan 2018 21:52:43
So Derek McInnes has the chance to manage the team he has supported aw his life. the team his whole family support. and "he shat it". away and don't talk pish! . does that even sound normal in your wee heed? I am happy with the signings so far (not sure about Cummings tho but hope I'm wrong) but how much money have we spent?

14 Jan 2018 22:01:16
I literally just came on here to reference the McInnes “list” that was put to him! Great minds bears, so far so good in this window, would like to get Martin and Docherty done ASAP, open to Naismith coming back if the terms are favourable to us, Tyler Roberts on a Bosman (minimal development fee), all good for Rangers as far as I can see.

I’m hopeful Goss can have a similar impact to Hyndman although I appreciate he is a different type of player and Murphy will give everything to be a success, now get 3/ 4 out the door and maybe another in, as Big Marv says:

Keep Believing!

14 Jan 2018 23:31:34
Not spent a bean yet.

The club now seems based on loans as there is 12.9 million to be paid back this year to the directors for loans. Where is that coming from?
Share issue and club not even on stock exchange.

14 Jan 2018 23:33:22
Like it Wee Bear! Very happy with the January deals and coaching appointments so far. Great credit to Murty and Allen, they look to be building a good team on and off the park. If we can tie up the deals for Cummings, Martin, and Docherty, get shot of some deadwood including Herrera then 1 more forward should do us. A lot to be positive about at the moment including possible Florida cup. Que everyone throwing their toys out the pram when we lose our next league game!

15 Jan 2018 18:01:07
Have to admit that I wanted mcinnes but now I hold my hands and say I was wrong. Really impressed with murty and his signing targets. Mcinnes had no balls, that's clear for all to see.

14 Jan 2018 20:50:53
if this tranfer window dealings are the dof's doing. then the man deserves to be given a chance.

14 Jan 2018 22:52:50
They are all good additions to squad, however, got to keep in mind it’s loans. Hoping we have the cash in summer to buy these guys.

New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Absolutely disgusting from a Celtic fan!

15 Jan 2018 17:56:09
Absolutely shocking.

14 Jan 2018 19:59:43
So who won the Florida cup then? We had 6points out of 6 and goal difference of +3 so surly nobody beat that anybody know what's going on?

14 Jan 2018 20:06:23
Still games to be played I think Barcelona play Saturday they could still win it.

14 Jan 2018 20:09:55
Was finking the same mate

14 Jan 2018 20:13:40
Said some teams like Barcelona were playing their 1st game last night

14 Jan 2018 22:25:57
Ok thanks so if that's the case then I see that Barcelona team won there first game 3.2 so if they fail to win 2.0 plus we will get the cup so all eyes on there result then.

15 Jan 2018 00:07:02
You all know it is not Barcelona of Spain but Barcelona of Ecuador!

15 Jan 2018 18:03:31
Its not thee barcelona, its a columbian team with same name.

14 Jan 2018 19:54:24
Hearing the news regarding the possibility of several loan signings coming in, I for one am pleased that this is the direction we are taking.
January is normally a tricky transfer window as clubs hike up the prices of their players as its mid season, so not spending money and bringing in loan deals is a very logical step.
It allows the management team to look at how the players adjust, fit in and perform without totally committing to a long term deal. It worked well with Declan John and hopefully it will continue to work.
I know many people say it's only because we don't have any money, and whilst we are obviously living on a very tight budget, it also shows us that the board will not risk any funds until they are sure it will work out.

14 Jan 2018 19:43:48
Perhaps we do not have the money, most of us have been used to, and are low on funds. I would like you all to think on the absurd money we paid for Pena at al. If they had all been loans most would be gone.
I really love the business we are now conducting, and I'd say that if we had millions in the bank, we have time to look at and gauge each signing and for a January window superb.

14 Jan 2018 19:41:19
To get Docherty from Hamilton I think we should give either Dodoo/ Rossiter/ Hardie on loan until end of season gives them playing time

14 Jan 2018 20:19:43
Whose going sign rossiter on loan if he's injuried?

14 Jan 2018 20:49:07
JohnGreig78,i did post yesterday stating that i heard ryan hardie is possibly going on loan to hamilton accies, as part of the greg docherty deal!

14 Jan 2018 20:54:19
Loan him on a development deal that way could stay at Ibrox for treatment and play for another team when fit having development games to to get match fit. Plus we are paying his wages so no loss

14 Jan 2018 19:33:47
1st time poster think Kelly should be number 2 goalie

14 Jan 2018 20:01:23
Wits wrong with Alnwick?

14 Jan 2018 20:17:44
Think he should be sold to reduce wages as Kelly looks stronger after loan spells could be making of him just like McGregor

14 Jan 2018
New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Cummings at Glasgow Airport?

14 Jan 2018 19:05:36
Wes
Tav. Mcrorie. John

Jack

Dorrans. Docherty

Murphy. Windass

El buffalo. Cummings

Lol we'd score a barrow load and concede aswell in all seriousness if we get our targets it brings competition and strong competition at that for places, i'm not sure what or how i would play but its hopefully going to be a nice headache to have also think having the loan players will work well and has been used well if we get our targets.

14 Jan 2018 19:32:21
Foderingham, Tav, Martin Mccrorie John
Docherty Jack
Candaes Dorrans Murphy
Morelos

Bench Kelly, Wilson Wallace Halliday goss Cummings plus one
This would be a big step forward.
Core squad then add two top players every year and one or two young boys. Watch out for a midfielder Steven Kelly

14 Jan 2018 20:21:14
Surely your not suggesting we play 1 CB? That's suicide. I wouldn't start windess either.

14 Jan 2018 23:00:48
If we clear out the rest of Pedros high earners who haven’t adapted at all to our game then it’s looking good financially and with players coming in who know the club and league. Candias is only one I’d keep. Obv I’m not including Alfredo in the cull as he was a JJ recommendation. Alves and Herrera will want game time before World Cup and that ain’t going to happen if Martin and Cummings come in.

14 Jan 2018 18:51:01
Murphy cummings martin goss all on loan it is clear to see we do not have a lot of money to spend this jan but if we can turn these deals into permant in the summer then it will be good business as these players can improve our team considerably and trying get docherty in along with pre contract for devante cole and roberts that would be a very succesful transfer window

14 Jan 2018 19:02:45
I really don't think it's down to money I think we're being smart we don't know if murty is going to be manager after this season bringing players on loan gives him chance to finish at least 2nd with no risk

14 Jan 2018 19:12:00
All good with me. If they're good sign them in summer.

Heard we may spend money on Docherty tho.

14 Jan 2018 19:12:26
Goodness sake chill, we used to complain when 70 million in debt.
We r doing good business.
Remember Miller, krancjar dalcio off wage bill may, mb hardie, bates, Wilson if contracts not renewed.
Possibly Herrera, Cardozo, hodson, Alves ohalloran alnwick. So lots money for the new guys

14 Jan 2018 18:20:56
Cummings at rangers to sign will see what happens same source thatvtild me murphy had signed

14 Jan 2018 18:12:58
Cummings at Glasgow airport see my pi on sightings site make what u want of it

14 Jan 2018 19:00:22
Where s pic of him arriving in Glasgow?

14 Jan 2018 18:08:34
Cummings to rangers tonight a thought we were going into administration? Oh well maybe not then.

14 Jan 2018 18:03:06
Cummins just flown in to Glasgow airport, loan until the end of the season.

14 Jan 2018 18:02:52
Jason Cummings in Glasgow coming on loan

14 Jan 2018 17:56:20
Cummings on loan till end of season.

14 Jan 2018 16:35:54
hi fellow bears not looking for any agrees or disagrees on this. these are players that i don't think have a future at ibrox . i would like to know what others opinions on who should go are
i am not slating anyone and my reasons are varied.
1 foderingham
2 hodson
3 herrera
4 kranjcar
5 rossiter
6 dodoo
7 alves
8 windass
9 miller
would like to know what anyone else thinks who doesn't have a future.

14 Jan 2018 17:04:28
Lol someone still disagrees 😂😂

Good question brian for me - fod and windass are worth keeping definitely decent players, Alves is a proven talent a just think his heads not in right place at moment because of unrest and rossiter I do rate but there’s only so long we can keep hoping he’s injury free before he’s punted the rest u would let go and just my opinion but I’d add ohalloran in there mate . If reports are true and we get docherty, Martin and Cummings I’d be pleased with that .

Don’t know his availability but a lot of posters here mentioned hyndman and I thought he was a really tidy, classy player would also like to see a move for him if he’s available .

14 Jan 2018 17:59:21
Would only keep windass and fod, brian.

14 Jan 2018 18:09:10
Would keep windass fod and Alves the rest can go

14 Jan 2018 18:45:03
And morelso surely

14 Jan 2018 12:59:50
Hi everyone, enjoying my Sunday morning coffee reading all about a great victory yesterday and all the feel good positives that go with the Florida trip great stuff, then I have a look at the S*n, headlining a story about a young girl singing a line of a song naming her and where she lives then hunting down a local American guy to explain to him what a bad word he said OMG. Then following our ex manager and player to give a match report from a game in Mexico hoping he loses and a player was booed allegedly. Pathetic journalism anything anti Rangers they jump on lazy rubbish story telling from an awful paper. They want to get there act together and start doing there job properly.

14 Jan 2018 13:22:48
Can I recommend not buying the Sun?

It's a rag and reading it clearly gets you annoyed. Just walk past it when your in the shop.

14 Jan 2018 14:03:12
Why would anyone read that piece of rubbish? Possibly LG the most vile paper on sale these days

14 Jan 2018 14:18:07
Anyone who sings, says or has a bigoted mindset deserves named and shamed! Surely you'll agree it has no place in society nowadays.

14 Jan 2018 14:40:56
I haven't read the article Robbie is talking about but if his description is accurate it sounds sledgehammer to crack a nut.
Yes there should be no place from any kind of needless hatred or discrimination but the punishment should reflect the crime.
For a national newspaper (again I don't know if it is the case, just going by the original post) is publicly naming and shaming someone for singing a song I believe that is drastically overstepping the mark.

14 Jan 2018 19:05:49
Here’s a novel idea what about if the cretins that attach themselves to our club stopped signing 17th. Century sectarian songs with the nice little add on about the pontiff.
That way the papers and our opponents would have nothing to attack us about.
Just an idea you know how about bringing our club into 21st Century?

14 Jan 2018 12:29:36
Watched both florida Cup games, thought there were many positives, only negative I think we are still very weak in defence, this is an area we must strengthen this window, if we sort the defence out I really think we can go on and compete with them and put real pressure on them.

14 Jan 2018 13:25:27
I think more than any other area if you can get a settled group in your defensive it will improve with time.

Hopefully we get lucky with injuries and we manage to have a settled back line that will get better.

14 Jan 2018 16:52:32
Exactly are defence is still week yet some people want Wilson to head up that defence for the next 3/ 4 years just because he has had a few good games lol

14 Jan 2018 18:47:16
We're the cup rangers cumin hame yet won both games but no cup

14 Jan 2018 11:07:07
hi fellow bears
good work out in florida! i'm struggling with a few players though? windass should he stay or go? dalcio is another if i'm not mistaken when we played st johnstone in a friendly was it their manager who said that dalcio looked a player? or maybe it was one of their players? foderingham another who can be brilliant then not so, even last night the second goal he seemed to misjudge where the ball was going? like the look of kelly another is holt just don't see him holding down a place? of course there are others who should go but i'm just not sure about these? thoughts guys?

14 Jan 2018 13:46:34
Dalcio is good. av been wanting him to get games for ages never slated the guy. people just slate the life oot him man he's young. he didn't get credit when he does well.

14 Jan 2018 14:51:25
Cawrfc you think dalcio is a good player? Based on a decent half in a friendly? Yet on the rumours page you've already decided Russell Martin is 'dug meat' If martin does join surely we could give him a chance and let him play a few games?

14 Jan 2018 18:02:51
Blueberry, dalcio out martin in defo.

14 Jan 2018 11:00:01
SFA rules on loan players.

There is no limit if it is an International transfer - outside Scotland

Only Five allowed if loaning team is also in Scotland

Only one per loaning club within Scotland

Only one under 21 within Scotland

Goss, murphy, martin, Dalcio, and possibly naismith? that's five loans.

14 Jan 2018 13:47:45
Was there not a season when Mike Ashley gave rangers about 5 players on loan from Newcastle a few years Back?

14 Jan 2018 14:05:41
"There is no limit if it is an international transfer-outside Scotland " that's 5 international transfers then?

14 Jan 2018 16:54:47
But you have already told us there is no limit from clubs outside Scotland so that's 5 from outside Scotland so we're is the problem?

14 Jan 2018 10:23:07
I read a very strange article on the consequences of signing Greg Docherty and how it would hinder the return of Jordan Rossiter. If we'd all held our breath for Rossiter's return from the most mysterious of bizarre injury excuses in the history of sport, none of us would be around. For whatever reason which we will surely never find out, Rossiter has been an expensive mistake and time to move on now.

14 Jan 2018 11:01:06
I like rossiter but we have to conceed this has been a flopp signing.

14 Jan 2018 12:11:05
Docherty isn't a holding/ defensive midfielder, rossiter is. IF he could get fit he'd be our no1 defensive / holding midfielder. Watch footage of him playing England u21, he really is a good footballer. There's a few I'd want out of the club before him. Niko for one

14 Jan 2018 12:54:21
10k a week for a player his age and you could probably count the amount of games he’s played in one hand. Absolute flop signing I’m afraid. No doubt the boys got ability, but you have to ask yourself why Liverpool let him go? I’m willing to bet they knew he had a long term issue.

The bread mans top 3 signings were all mistakes, Barton Kranjcar and Rossiter.

Blueberry, I’m sure Niko’s contract expires at he end of this season?

14 Jan 2018 13:16:01
10k a week? Bloody hell. No doubt he's been a flop so far, just always hoping he'd sort out his fitness / injuries. Niko, 4-5years ago was a real good player but he hasn't worked out. He's one of the reasons iam a bit concerned about Naismith. Fit, he's a good player BUT he's another player very injury prone

14 Jan 2018 13:59:09
Disagree about rossiter being a mistake, he's just been really unlucky. The worst signings in the last few seasons are Pedro and Pena.

14 Jan 2018 14:12:23
Would it not be in our interests to send Rossiter out on loan? His wages would be nothing to a championship club and if he was to ever prove his fitness he'd be worth a fortune down there. On the other hand if ifs and buts were fruits and nuts it would be Christmas everyday!

Keep Believing

14 Jan 2018 07:51:59
Would just like to heap massive praise to our manager graeme murty! He without question has brought back a tremendous team spirit which you can see clearly! The players all seem to know the system and what they are doing! Also impressed with the transfer targets and the signings he's already made! He thinks about the game thoroughly and has tactical nous! Delighted he's our manager and a big well done to him!

14 Jan 2018 08:11:34
Well said Supercoops. I am night and day more positive than coming out of the summer window under Pedro. We need to get behind the guys to the end of the season. We may still lose some games but from what I've seen from GM performances, it won't be through lack of effort and commitment. If you can guarantee these things you have a chance. Give the guy the tools (ie the playets) and he'll do the best job he can. And as somebody else posted - this was achieved without a number of top players (Alves, Dorrans, Jack, Miller, McCrorie)

14 Jan 2018 09:29:43
Isn’t mRk Allen doing the transfers? Think Murty will have some say though with mark rubber stamping them. Great team spirit now il agree

14 Jan 2018 09:54:03
I really do like the way things went in florida including the team bonding which was probably as important if not more, to see windass do snapchat videos with all the players and murty getting a dunking with a bucket, shows we might just be coming together as a team, murphys interview was bang on about getting to know each other although hallidays was funnier think he went to ann summers for his bottom layer, everybody is smiling when was the last time we could see that, as above if we carry on with determination and team work we won't be far off, we will have some sh1t results but it definatley looks night and day compared to the last few seasons

14 Jan 2018 09:55:12
I think we need to see how things progress once the winter break is over before anyone starts heaping praise on Murty or the squad. Have a tough run of fixtures coming up so let’s see how we perform

14 Jan 2018 11:51:50
ok naisy was a cracking player, but that was many years and a couple of injuries ago

he is probably still better than some of our current squad, but I agree we should be going for a younger prospect with more to offer and a possible sell on value ie cummings docherty

14 Jan 2018 02:57:38
Why will rangers not just sign naismith better than half the players we have.

14 Jan 2018 09:27:36
Imo Steven naismith is a decent player and putting all the stuff aside about the way he left the club I still don't think it's in rangers best interests to bring him back as he is at the wrong end of his career the lad is what 31/ 32 and has struggled with injuries over the last few years and at most has possibly 3 seasons left in him hoping injuries don't play a part in that so he doesn't really offer anything to rangers he would have no sell on value and would only be topping up his bank account for when he does decide to call it a day I'd prefer to go down the route of buying young up and coming players who are hungry and have things to prove in the game who have sell on value that will benefit rangers long term rather than throw wages away on a player that offers nothing other than a couple of seasons of playing before they retire

14 Jan 2018 09:43:55
Why would we sign naismith unless we want another kranjar players who were good but now well past it. naismith could not get away quick enough when club in trouble even though club paid his wages for weeks when he injured . better signing young up and coming talents every day of the week not your alves. naismith and kranjars

14 Jan 2018 09:47:28
Agree 100 per cent with forever blue

14 Jan 2018 10:01:19
Yip totally agree. Naismith is dreadful signing target😂😂

14 Jan 2018 01:11:57
No way should danny Wilson be offered a new deal he has been better past few games but to have him on the books for another 2 3 years no chance we are going to need a lot better than him by then come on.

14 Jan 2018 07:44:40
This is coming from myself, who originally DIDN'T want us to bring danny wilson back to rangers, because his career had stalled and was going back the way! Not now though, as i firmly believe that danny wilson has been superb and without doubt, our best centre half over the last 2 months! IMO he's kicking on again to become the centre half, we all knew he could turn out to be! Honour where honour is due here! Its a NO BRAINER to get danny wilson tied down to rangers, on at least a 3 year contract! He's playing really well now! Future captain imo!

14 Jan 2018 08:16:58
Yes, have to agree, he has been brilliant and a ball playing centre half is worth his weight in gold. Yes he is not the quickest but then neither was Davie Weir, Ronnie McKinnon or George Young. Deal the big man in - definitely!

14 Jan 2018 09:57:07
Davie Weir was a far better player though

14 Jan 2018 10:10:38
Agree I was for getting rid of him but over past six games or so he has played well and he is a level headed young guy speaks well I need front of cameras and I for one maybe see that captain we've been looking for

14 Jan 2018 10:51:17
Guys don't u think Wilson only starts playing well when he's nearing the end of his contract? Just a thought. I will him to do well but he frustrates the life out of me.

14 Jan 2018 00:00:03
i can't believe certain people on here are saying wallace is not worthy of captaining rangers. disgrace man, wallace should be captain any time he pulls the shirt on. probably the same people who were saying alves should be captain and it's probably the same people who want alves out the door.

and as your latest nomination to be captain danny wilson is this the same danny wilson who 3 months ago nobody would care if he left. wallace has stuck by us through thick and thin when he could have left for more money. now its he's no good to be captain cause wilson has had a few good games which he has and because alves has a great cv which he has get a grip you lot as soon as wallace is fit he should be captain no the guys fault he's injured.

14 Jan 2018 00:26:54
He's no good at captain because he is not a natural leader. We are all grateful that he stood by us but that itself doesn't make him captain. Have a think about what you are saying before you call people a disgrace because they can see what you so obviously can't see. Also it has nothing to do with him being injured, where did you get that from? Lol.

14 Jan 2018 01:00:05
Alves should be captain

14 Jan 2018 01:06:18
Wallace deserves credit for sticking by us and I have no issue with him being captain when he’s back but I can’t see him as a definite starter and the club captain should be a guaranteed starter if fit!

14 Jan 2018 06:17:56
Opinions are formed and change game by game, week by week on here. One minute everything is rosey with some the next its doom and gloom. Think with some people it depends whether we win or lose. Have to agree with wee bear the captain should be a starter. I don't mind who keeps the armband warm for McCrorie tbh however Wilson will be obvious choice if he is starting and Wallace isn't.

14 Jan 2018 08:22:33
Big Lee will struggle to get back in the team imo as young John has been brilliant for us. Some have suggested we move John forward but whose place would he take? It's not the big guy's fault, but just the way it has panned out. Players are staking a claim to get in the team and that's the way it should be. Healthy competition.

14 Jan 2018 09:40:45
Personally I have never been a fan of Wallace being captain as for me he isn't vocal enough or never seems encouraging enough with the other players which is just my opinion I will forever hold the lad in high regard for the way he stood by rangers through tough times there is absolutely no questioning the lads loyalty to the club but for me just loyalty alone doesn't merit being captain and as others have pointed out he may struggle to get straight back into the team with the way Declan John has been playing and I think it would be wrong to push John to a different position just to accommodate Wallace back into the team

14 Jan 2018 20:02:57
Totally agree with your point can’t argue with his loyalty but certainly should not be captain. Need someone like Barry Ferguson was. A leader.

13 Jan 2018 23:54:00
Watched the game, first half was sore to watch, howevever 2nd half was a vast improvement, good passing and movement. Great spirit to win from being down 2 nil. Morelos svored 2 hood goals but vould do with some help up front. Overall a positive result.
