I know this might now take your fancy but I think a 5-2-1-2 would be quite good for the new season
Gk: Bell
Rwb: Foster Cb: Pandza Cb: Gasperotto Cb: Mohsni Lwb: Wallace/Smith
Cm: Law Cm: Macleod
Cam: Shiels/Templeton
St: Daly/Jig St: Clark/Little
Subs: New gk, Mckay, Little/Clark, Daly/Jig, Cribari
As there are two wing backs they would be very attacking minded almost like a lm and move further up than that when needed and with their pace getting back shouldn't be a problem and if either Templeton or Shiels they would have a free role if they wanted to move out to the right or lleft or stay centre. Let me know what you think.

5 at back in 2nd division is just calling for mccoist abuse from the internet streamers

Why 5 at the back? And why do you want defenders to play as attacking midfielders when we have attacking midfielders?

It isn't really 5 at the back its 3 at the back when on the ball

5 at the back is a pretty attack minded formation though

they would be using wing backs. looks decent but I don't think jig will be played as a striker

@2 the 2 attacking midfielders we have would be fighting for the free role behind strikers

Still early days in to the pre-season but are we any clearer on what will be the first choice team come the start of the season? Templeton, Peralta and a central defender still to come in the team. It would looks like it might be along the lines of
Bell
Foster
Cribari
Mohsni (Hopefully he signs)
Wallace
Little
Hutton
Law
Templeton
Daly
Clark

I still don't think ally will play 2 upfront I hope i'm wrong though. jmgers

One good thing, there will be plenty competition for starting places this season, let's hope we see some good football

Have you seen the vid of the squad training? cribari is last in everything. he'll not play next year. gasparotto over him any day.

Anyone else noticed how bad ally is looking btw? Beginning to worry about him a bit. Think him and Lennon both look awful sinse taking their managerial positions at the old firm.

He has aged substantially In the past 2 years but he looks much better and happier now than he did through admin & Liquidation. As for NL when has he ever looked anything other than awful? Lol

I thought that about ally, looks terribly in that picture with your new CEO, hope its nothing serious. Prob just stress, or maybe steroids for illness, they can blow you up. HH joe

So what if he's weighing in a 16 stone or whatever, he's 50 year old remember, guys that age tend to put on weight and I should know.

Seriously though if he's going to try and improve the fitness of the current squad then maybe he ought to think about losing a stone or two himself. For his own health as well.

Really noticed the weight he'd put on during the legends match. Looks very red in the face too. Stress will do that to you, as will turning to the bottle to cope.

Is any other manager fatter in the Scottish game? Jimmy calderwood is out of it now, isn't he? McCoist looks over 17 stone

This is what I think is the strongest rangers starting 11-bell, foster, pandza, mohsni, Wallace, little, law, mcleod, templeton, daly, clark, what do other gers fans think of this starting line up?BIG RAM

Pandza and Mohsni don't even belong to Rangers yet.

Why do folk keep doing this?

I seen one a few weeks back that had GORDON Foster (before he had signed) BERRA, ZALIUKAS, Wallace, Peralta, Law, ARFIELD, McLeod, Aird, Daly, Clark.

Thats a goalie who might not even be able to play again. A full back who was still a Bristol City player, Berra & Zaliukas? and Scott Arfield who hasn't even been mentioned in the rags, by the management or had any kind of contract talks with the club.

Geez piece till they have signed on for the club will you.

No place in the team for McCulloch, and players who have not even signed.
We are moving forward with the players who are currently signed as the result and performance in the game V Bristol City proved.
Yes we could do with another Centre Back but Jig would be in my starting eleven.

Just remember guys all players signef are trialists with a view to signing in sept the club or the player still hasthe right to vito the move and I don't expect every player to sign at the end of the window espesicialy if the impress a championship club whilst in the shop window as a trialist

@7 am not sure playing in the 3rd tier of Scottish football will impress any sides in the championship
