i have noticed a substancial amount of selik fans crawl, and i mean literally, out the woodwork and flood this page with utter garbage since we entered administration. my question to you all is this....with things looking up for rangers and a new buyer looking likely, how many will continue to post on this site??
i have a lot of time for lenny. a guy who was on this site long before administration, the guy knew his football and his banter was first class. miko n timalloy are in the same boat as lenny with being on here well before we entered administration, shame the same cant be said about their football knowledge or banter though. so dhims your time is nearly up to gloat. have your tainted title, enjoy your summer holidays n then next season everything will be back to normal. a strong rangers winning another league title, refs getting the blame for seliks failings n if your lucky we might give you a wee league cup......

you're right up there with all the deluded 'loyal'. the same can be said for your lot...at the start of the season you were crawling all over the rightful champions page, now we don't see these guys for dust after the last old firm game, and even less since administration.

J1985, I'll make this easy for you to understand. Since the SPL started Rangers have won 7 SPL Titles and Celtic have won 6...at the end of this season it will be 7-7..now take into account all the allegations in the press about financial doping, tax avoidance schemes, double contracts etc etc...if Rangers are indeed guilty of these "crimes" then they have been cheating to keep pace with Celtic over the last 14 years. If they are not guilty then at the moment its a draw! However, a Rangers FC living within its means in my opinion will not be able to compete with Celtic financially.

Your argument about success over the past 14 years is so irrelevant it doesn't even merit a counter argument. we won 9 league titles in a row not long before that but i take it we're not including that eh? so shall we dismiss 67 as well then? history is just that mate...history! we are proud or ours n as a club we'll continue to add to our history as the seasons go on and the titles keep coming. as for financially.....we're sorting ourselves out on that score. over spending has now caught up with us but we are on the road to a stable future. your worried aint you?

B..heres an example of a tainted win for you. bernard hopkins was defending his world title last year when he was flung/fell n injured his shoulder in the 4th round(i think). hopkins lost his title there n then...the other lad was crowned champ because hopkins couldn't continue...is this a clean win or tainted in your opinion? honest opinion...
so selik can celebrate the title win but it will always be known as the season rangers went into administration...thus making seliks success tainted in my eyes as the playing field was hardly level.

How do Duff+Phelps get paid?Do the new owners have to meet that cost or does it come out of the old company?

It gets taken out of the 'cva' fund, they take their cut from that. Of course assuming the necessary amount of creditors agree to ancva.

Duff and Phelps get paid before anyone at Ibrokes at the moment, before Fat Sally and Laugherty!

The administrators don't get paid at the moment. Once the process is complete they submit a bill to the creditors for approval or negotiation.
This subject is getting as bad as RFC playing in the english league and the countless scenarios that appear to make that possible. Don't mention the Welsh teams ffs.

They will make accruals to make sure their fee is safe!

Undoubtedly "Rangers" and key people running the club have made some serious errors in both judgement and decision making over the years - all of which has now resulted in where we are today.
HOWEVER foi the masses of followerrs from other clubs simply waiting to see the bad news become worse, etc it is worth pointing out this:-

So far NO wrongdoing has been proved on EBT practice, it might or might not be.

As for stripping Rangers of previously won titles and cups, etc I would say that never once do I recall watching games against Celtic, Hearts or any others at the time did I see an opposition player stop mid-action , stand back from a tackle or save and think "oh I can't win this game against Rangers because this guy hasn't paid his tax". Every time Rab Douglas let in a goal he was clealry diverted by the thought that an EBT had put a nasty swerve on the ball to decieve him...It was always 90 minutes, 11 v 11 played in real time at the time.

You seem to missing the point of there are numerous serious folk involved now to expose rfc& sfa of al there skullduggery,to many investigations to be botherd talking about,do you honestly beleive in your heart rfc will come out squeaky clean???a tarnished club wil forever be rememberd,the truth be there for all to see in next few weeks,thank god for honest reporters& journalists,channel 4 will have a few squirming & hiding just sooon,end off days around the corner....stevo

to all those calling rangers cheats and kicking club while were down heres an interview from sdm. am sure yous will all accuse him of lying but we will see Former Rangers owner Sir David Murray insists all of the club’s players were registered appropriately with Scottish football’s governing bodies during his tenure.

The Scottish Premier League are conducting an investigation into allegations a succession of payments made to players for on-field activities were not declared between 1998 and 2010.

Hugh Adam, who was a director at Rangers through part of Murray’s time at Ibrox, claimed some payments were not declared in contracts, potentially contravening SPL regulations.

The payments allegedly excluded are said to have been paid through Employee Benefit Trusts (EBTs), the use of which has been challenged by HM Revenue and Customs and is subject to the imminent announcement of a tax tribunal’s findings.

Regardless of the outcome of the case, Murray insists everything was above board during his time with Rangers.

"I've asked the auditors to go through it," said Murray. "I've looked through every year to check my facts.

"There was no double contract. There was categorically no dual contracts.

"What I would say is this. We went through 10 AGMs. We signed off accounts by Grant Thornton, the remuneration trust was always mentioned in the account. It was never hidden, and that's a fact."

Asked if he had been requested to give evidence to the SPL inquiry, Murray replied: "I've never spoken to Stewart Regan [SFA chief executive] or Neil Doncaster [SPL chief executive] in my life."

Mike McGill, who was previously on the board at Ibrox and also served as financial director with the Murray Group, has also stated there were no contracts over payments made to players through EBTs.

"The club used an old offshore EBT scheme in 1999 with three players," he said. "That scheme is the subject of the small tax case.

"The Revenue provided some information to us in early 2011 and we conceded based on that information and provided for payment in the club accounts. Craig Whyte didn't pay it.

"The other, larger scheme, started in 2001, involves a payment into an offshore trust, but there is no contractual entitlement on the part of the players.

"The whole basis of an EBT arrangement is that there is not a contractual entitlement. That is key to the defence, and key to the allegations made by the SFA."

Just my thoughts of the matters right now. I do not believe that any of these bidders are interested in the Gers as they are at the moment. I think they want to buy a newco. with no debt. Yes I i think they will give us money, but as i said only as a newco. We are not going to see any new players brought in if someone buys our club in the state it is in just now. Maybe just maybe 'The Blue Knights' are interested in keeping us alive, but by the way their meeting seemed to have gone it does not sound very positive. And all this rubbish that some are spouting on here about Celtic should be running scared is crap. One there are no 'real' signs of a new owner, not while CW is in charge mind. Two we still are in administration and three well three is that we honestly do not know what is going to happen over the next we while. A lot of people come on here saying 'i heard this from a mate' or 'i spoke to the rangers doctor and he told me' its all crap. The papers are running the stories that sell, whether there fully correct or not, and a lot of us are buying into it. Its interesting to listen to all the banter yes, but it has to be taken with a pinch of salt. I personally think that we will find out a lot about what is going to happen to us this week although D&P might be playing spin doctor and trying to force a bidders hand before Friday.
