Stories online saying Mr King has passed the SFA fit and proper test. I can't wait to see this man invest and point us in the right direction, oh and can't wait to see all the King haters and conspiracy theorists squirm. They will all be hypocritical enough to go n cheer and enjoy the fruits of the mans efforts but will still have a knife behind their backs ready to stab the man in the back.

To listen to all the crap abouthe should have gave us further tens of millions already, would you invest say another £20m with no say on how its used after already doing it? No no one would, hhe's done the right thing up till now, by the book, shut up n let the man get on with the job of repairing our Club because there's no one else willing ton give him the respect he deserves n that goes for the Eds on here too.

The only thing that we,sceptics, are asking is that he does what he says. Nothing more, nothing less. To date all he has done is purchase a majority share in the company that is Rangers, and with the backing of a faithful support, take control. Time will tell if our loyalty is warranted but, I for one, will not hold my breath.

true gers fan the reason some people are doubting king is cause he promised a lot of things and so far has failed to deliver any of these that is why people are wary he is a rangers man and that is good but we need to hear some sort of clarity on the way forward for the club actions speak louder than words and so far it all been words hopefully that will change when he gets passed by sfa

Kings not even properly in the door yet, give him time. Did he make promises saying everything would be alright within 2 months? No.

ceexxx he promised there would be no de-listing now that has happened they promised they would find another market place to trade this is very unlikely to happen they said they would pay Ashley hasn't happened yet also before king got in there was no mention of facing his 20 million over 5 years they way he was saying that was going go straight in to club we are yet to see any of these things happen mentioned above this is why folk are wary of him I have no doubt he will better for rangers but we need see a business plan from them hopefully we get some news on way forward once he has been passed its all been talk now the have opportunity to act with Ashley demanding his money the supporters where furious when Ashley got all stuff for 5 million well now we have the opportunity to get it back everything ain't going be alight in to months but progress would be nice to see club said they would be transparent with supporters we are yet to see that

OP. Personally I said on this forum that I doubted King would find a Nomad but if he did find one I would get behind him.

Didn't happen, did it?

Likewise I really doubt Rangers will be listed on the ISDX as promised so I won't bother taking your advice to shut up just yet.

According to my contact in SPFL Accounts has said rumours of King approval as fit and proper are true so that is some good news at least.

Now is time for him to actually DO rather than just TALK, the timing for him could not be better with Ashley demanding his money back

King should at the very least release a statement of intent. Whether it is that we are still awaiting investigations into all the deals Green and co did to suit Ashley or whether Ashley is going to be paid and told where to go if that is possible.

With Ashley's hatred of publicity especially if it involves him having the Police at his offices
we are in a great position to make him an offer to end all his connections to Rangers. We can offer him his £5m back subject to him cancelling all the deals that are under investigation, or risk it turning out that Green has been at it and Ashley may get embroiled in a major fraud investigation.

Everything suits us now and not him that fact alone is good

Good post mate. If MA has been embroiled in deals that in any way shape or form look dodgy we should be pressing
Hard for negotiation on a full and final GTF settlement
Or we should make it abundantly clear we will pursue with the full force of the law. 5 million GTF with no merchandise contract left in place.

No connection with RFC at all just a polite thank you & GTFYC
Over and out

KT, This is only wishful thinking. King has an agenda and this is based on economics. Always remember his intended investment was via the family pension fund and that is not in his control as it is down to the trustees. Also I still think that his 'fit and proper' status is up in the air.
As far as Ashley is concerned, he is not a risk taker and I would think he is not betting on us achieving promotion, thus his request for his cash.

Adam bogdan out of contract, good signing? A lot of people don't seem to rate bell(I think he is decent. ) other than Scott Bain and Scott Fox there isn't really any other goalkeepers in Scotland that stand out and imo they aren't as good as bell. Do people see a new goalie coming in?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

14 May 2015 15:12:41
we will probably see bell staying for now as other areas in squad need work I do think we need a better keeper though bogdan would be good signing can we a ford him that another question un till we hear boards plan we will not no

I actually didn't rate Bell recently but it was pointed out yesterday that with Bell in our team we are 6 wins and 4 draws he was out for the QoS away 3-0 loss so to be honest facts are hard to argue with plus remember he has had effectively a no defence in front of him the bulk of that time as in when McCulloch was in the team.

Maybe Bell just needs a settled defence as potentially would would have a 10-0 record if that was the case.

KT

I don't think Bell would have made any difference to the shoreline against QOS. I think he is a decent keeper but no more. However there are other areas of the team that need significantly strengthened before we look at him

Your post prompted me to dig out the program from that
fantastic day. I was working in Manchester for a couple
Of days and watched the game on one of the screens
what a fantastic few days. I could not get any diggs so
I slept in the boot of the car with my rangers top on
It's fair to say we consumed one or two beers that day
Happy day and fantastic memories watching Rangers
Let's hope more good days are not to far away

Apart from all the wee skanky burds in tracksuits who'd never been to Ibrox before or since the game, it was tremendous, despite our performance on the pitch.

Scottish Professional Football League chief executive Neil Doncaster admits more league reconstruction is being discussed but insists that ensuring Rangers a place in the top flight is not the motivation behind it.

Ofcourse it's about us. they need us.

Doesn't that suggest therefore onlyshow that in essence nobody had the stomach for Rangers demotion all the way to Division 3 in the first place and that essentially people's hands were tied, once the ball started rolling, the failed CV etc then there was no other recourse. So surely if the powers that be (and I dare say with some club encouragement) are making these noises then clearly this was a) not something they wanted b) certainly not their fault and therefore isn't it perhaps about time Rangers took responsibility for what happened, the precedent was there with Livingston only a season or so earlier and even they were dealt with more harshly. When the club was liquidated was there any other real recourse? If you or anyone disagrees then fine but a) tell me your alternative and b) under EXACTLY the same circumstances show me your precedent. I've got a feeling I'll have a long wait.

Gaz, no one can deny that it was rangers fault to what happened, however this conversation would open up a can of worms.

With respect to Hearts,if we had done what was expected at the start of the season and win the league would this agenda even of seen the light of day. Simaraly if we go up through the playoffs will Hibs ,Queens, and whoever be afforded the same luxury of automatic promotion and survival. I wonder.

According to Doncaster: “I don’t see any change to the league structure for next season. You would need unanimity from all 42 clubs if you were looking for change in time for next season. Realistically, I don’t see that unanimity happening in time for next season.”

Cannot see what the fuss is on this one. Not going to happen for the start of next season whether we go up or not.

The league should be at least 16 teams anyway, no matter if we win play offs or not a 12 team league is boring playing the same teams every week.

14 May 2015 13:23:59
It might have been 'Rangers'fault' but it wasn't the fans' fault!

Totally agree Doiger but on occasions since which you have backed what seem to be spiv after spiv, In Craig We Trust, the minute Green mentioned 300 million fans and the Dallas Cowboys you should have chased him, cost cutting exercise but Gleneagles still okay from Graham Wallace? Well I'm telling you now, given what we are seeing, the AIM, the lack of cash investment (authorities approval doesn't require it), his recent past, the fact that an ailing club bypassed a money-spinner for fan adulation (ticket prices for play-offs), the insensitive new pioneers unveiling I'd say you are on to about spiv number 5 or 6 about now. So fans can take some criticism for ignoring, dismissing what are clearly warning signs and cause for alarm.

This gauntlet from Ashley will be interesting, on the face of it, it is a no-brainer and certain to have fan support if it goes to an EGM but it does require £5m in readies inside 10 days of passing, we'll find out what exactly King has planned there and then I suppose.

Concentrate on getting up through play offs. what's point of speculating about changes in league structure? back the team on the park, not a lot we can do about the situation off it.no one can predict what will happen, and there may be reasons for things not being progressed by the board. what us definitely coming up is a crucial game. let's focus on that.

Confused Gaz I

Livingston treated "less" harshly?

Offered place in higher division (Championship) in return for a bond / deposit but they were unable to afford it .

Rangers were not offered such an option to my knowledge

2 1

14 May 2015 20:56:23
Ranger57 the new owners paid the bond of £720,000 to the SFL guaranteeing the club's continuation for the next 12 months. On August 5 of that year the SFL demoted them straight to Division 3 despite there having never been an actual full liquidation. Nice try but next time read the whole story and not just the bits that suit you. The story did not begin and end with former owner Massone. And while liquidation proceedings did start it was never completed.
