Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

14 Nov 2016 19:46:25
i see a lot of talk here about signing up to 4 players in January - we don't need any more, we need to get our current mob super fit, use players that are being overlooked and take a good look at our tactics and formation. i still think wecan make 2nd place, but bringing in a bunch more mid season is DEFINITELY not the answer.

15 Nov 2016 08:44:13
I am inclined to agree 4 is excessive but this has never been mooted by anyone inside Ibrox.
I think we will look for 2-3 players.
1)A direct Barton replacement.
2)An attacking winger likely a loan to replace Kranjcar and give option other than McKay.
3) Possibly looking for a Waghorn replacement if he is set on leaving.

15 Nov 2016 09:27:56
We need quality players and 4 seems a reasonable number to me. We need to sign up and coming youngsters but also players that can challenge immediately for the first team. This is rangers we are talking about, we may not be the best but we are certainly the biggest club in Scotland.

15 Nov 2016 12:35:26
We need 6 or 7! As some of the current squad are not good enough. However Jan is not the time to be adding that amount of players.

16 Nov 2016 13:00:16
Honest question, but can you please explain what makes you the "biggest" in Scotland TrueBlue?

As far as I'm concerned Celtic's league postion is far better, not to mention we have already knocked you out of the cup (don't think may would argue league is pretty much wrapped up) .

Our finances are much better and will continue to be for forseeable future.

Our team is better (currently have one player that's value is probably more than double your entire squad) .

Our youth is miles ahead at every level.

Our attendances are even better (with figures today stating that only Man U and Arsenal have a higher average attendance in Britan) this season.

So please I'm genuinly intrigued to know, other than your own self worth/ importance, what makes you the biggest ANYTHING in Scotland?

16 Nov 2016 16:20:30
tompo stop gloating about this season. the attendances only rose because the most successful club in the world has come back up into the league. money wise yes yous are better off and your squad is better we will admit to that but. that's just this season .

when we where down your attendance weren't making the headlines for being the highest in Britain it was ours and if not the best in the top 3 every week.
see we have followed our team through the worst possible times .

that and the fact we have 54 league titles and yous are a wee bit away fae getting that.
that's what makes us the biggest in Scotland. yous only sing when your winning mate.

16 Nov 2016 16:58:29
"But that's just this season". Really? Are you ACTUALLY being serious? That just puts any genuine argument you had to bed! Even forgetting the last 5 years we humped you in your last season before you were liquidised (irrespective of admin points deduction)!

14 Nov 2016 19:36:51
I was just reading about MW's playing career at Leicester's youth team under Jock Wallace. His opinion of Big Jock was that he was just a "commando" and taught him how NOT to train a football team. Maybe that clarifies why Big Jock's teams were always 90 minute+ teams and our current team 45, on a good day.

14 Nov 2016 20:34:22
Until Warburton wins a treble like Jock Wallace did he is no position to criticize him.

14 Nov 2016 20:53:59
Big Jock was a Rangers legend and I think history will show MW 3 years at Rangers won nothing, fans disillusioned with formation and team tactics team full of under achievement, youth set up producing nothing. Kids being missed all over the place. I coach a 2007 team and we have two fantastic kids. 2 seasons and not as much as a snifter of a scout out to watch them
Time for a change soon.

15 Nov 2016 09:18:52
you 2 need to get a grip Jesus.

15 Nov 2016 10:00:04
My point was that you can have all the ability in the world and be a good attacking team, but without strength and stamina you cannot go the distance, thus struggling over 90 minutes +.
All the best teams have great fitness, backed up by supreme teamwork and total dedication.

16 Nov 2016 16:25:28
11 the best are you a rangers man because you sound like wan eh them .
big jock was a monster and training under him would have been brutal .
yes he is a legend but his training methods are outdated and no players these days would be happy to train under those conditions lol, we wouldn't have a team left.
warbs style of play is something we have all praised and said that's what football is all about but 12 games into a season and people want to get rid of him.

he basically got a whole 11 new players to bed into a team that was playing some really nice football.
he has to be given time to get these guys to do the same .
its still early in the season and we will get 2nd place this year so stop your pouting boys.

14 Nov 2016 10:29:08
Hi fellow bears after I was slated on here for my concerns over our youth team development I still cannot understand how being 2nd bottom of the league is a positive place to be and that shows that the development is now being run correctly?, we do nothing but criticize our team for being 3rd in the premiership sack the manager Tec but the under 20,s 2nd bottom Is being run correctly? Sorry all but I'm lost on that one?

14 Nov 2016 11:35:40
Most of our youth players are out on loan, u20's is now made up by 16 and 17 year olds.

14 Nov 2016 11:50:48
It's just another example of the shambles that is currently our club. Warburton is doing nothing to build anything yet some people on here argue otherwise without producing any clear evidence.

14 Nov 2016 12:19:17
eat a snickers lads. Warburton is having to revamp a youth system that has been in disarray since it was built.

14 Nov 2016 12:27:28
Harsh reality. think of the second part of you're name. King came on board promising money warbuton seen what £1,9million if that. We have no money to develop our youth our team or stadium. we are being F*uKeD over buy a fat geordy. all you fans that claimed warbuton was our savour last season and called him the magic hat. Get a grip the guy has no money as his exspossel but still the team is doing ok. This was always going to be a hard task at hand and a harder league. maybe we should get religated again and you all might be happy that we are wining again. We are never going to be that team again so deal with it and move on. Warbuton can only do what he is doing, yeah change the formation and the players. Yeah he's made bad judgment in players I. E Barton. but the end of the day we are a team and a team that's going to fight. yeah Celtic miles better that's because they have had 4 years to save money and being in better players and play champions league football where the money is. we played Ladbrokes cup. so get a grip and just back out TEAM and harsh reality that's the reality of it off!

{Ed001's Note - Ashley is not a Geordie mate.}

14 Nov 2016 12:34:20
I understand they are young and some are out on loan where even there they are struggling to get a game I'm just not sure that going backwards is seen as a positive? Is it perhaps the days of pulling on a blue shirt doesn't matter anymore? if it carries on they won't want to better of else where they may get some success or recognition.

14 Nov 2016 12:33:46
Well a fat English guy! Haha.

14 Nov 2016 13:38:08
there is always a teething process when sum1 changes a system #briangersfan.
the best of our youth is loaned out or moved up a level which is hard for them but will make them better in the long run.
lots of german teams operate in this way and they have great development over there.
the way we had it didn't work and to be honest results in the youth don't make a difference to the first team so aren't as important more focus on the stars of the youth teams and their development is better for our future.

14 Nov 2016 13:48:51
understand both points of view - IF we were beginning to see some progress either in the First team or the youngsters.
Personal opinion is - get them winning from early age and get them used to that culture.
At the moment they are being told results don't matter, your only learning! and as for the U20's out on loan, god help us, 20 mins here 40 mins there, on subs bench (or not), where is their development?

14 Nov 2016 14:20:04
My personal opinion in the young bring up billy gilmour and slap £50m on him. If Celtic can with dembele why can we? Gilmour young and will develop more. my personal opinion. Considering there is, Bayern, Barcelona, PSG Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U, Man City swansesse, even Celtic. lots more too follow. Let the wee guy play slap a big tag on him, if he wants to leave then fair enough.

14 Nov 2016 15:32:01
Can't just say we'll sell him for £50M, the kid's only 15 years old! I'm hoping we hold onto him and he manages to break through to the first team in the next 2 or 3 years, THEN we could discuss his value. For now though, I for one think our youth programme has only improved since the change in management and ownership.

14 Nov 2016 16:26:25
Hopefully the boy will stay in Scotland and be developed but you are about to see the draw of big money as he approaches his sixteenth birthday and can sign for anyone it would appear lots of fat cheque books will be waved in this lads face. It maybe with all the troubles at ibrox the boy fancies more money at a stable club or he might see it as a opportunity to get first team promotion quicker with your lack of money to fund transfers.

14 Nov 2016 21:41:22
I would have hill and ohalloran in there.

16 Nov 2016 16:29:08
super ally? eh? youth team talk!

14 Nov 2016 10:26:17
I'm used to being disappointed now at international week. Back to the real football now and I feel this is a massive game on Sunday as we really need three points which I think we will get. I would still stick with the same 11 as past two games to get some consistency. Does anyone know if Rossiter is ready yet? Wallace should continue his good form.

14 Nov 2016 13:42:24
Wallace played well for Scotland but hasn't been doing great for us to be honest and i hope he ups his game!
id like to see forrester back in the team as he is a really talented young man.
rossiter hopefully is fit but i'm not sure, i heard he was fit 3 weeks ago but he hasn't came back not to sure what that was about.
miller garner up front with McKay forrester on the wings halliday and rossiter if fit if not then holt.
tav senders Wilson Wallace at the back 4-4-2.

15 Nov 2016 11:23:22
What game on Sunday are you talking about wizards 11?

14 Nov 2016 10:16:50
Don't really like what makes about to say much however, the Keith Jackson piece in the Record regarding Scotland and Strachan makes for some interesting and nail on the head reading.

14 Nov 2016 12:27:10
I'm sorry, I didn't read before I posted and good old autocorrect worked it's magic.
The first line should read, don't like what I'm about to say much however,

14 Nov 2016 08:35:59
If we finish 2nd in the league this year, less than 10 points behind Celtic, would this be considered a good season for us? It would bring European football, for a while anyway, and some more revenue. A Scottish Cup win would be the icing on the cake. We've still only lost twice in the league so far and it is the silly draws that have cost us 10 points. Thoughts anyone?

14 Nov 2016 08:59:06
We're effectively 14 points behind Celtic after 1/ 3rd of the season and that gap will only increase as we continue our learning process. If the more recent signings can adapt to the fans huge expectations of beating teams like Ross County, then maybe we have a chance of finishing 2nd. I read the fans expect too much, we have unrealistic expectations, are too demanding. Are we really? But yeah 2nd would be good.

14 Nov 2016 09:00:15
Doiger if (and it is if at the moment) we can stop losing soft goals, overcome our chronic inability to put away decent chances and be much more consistent (simple as that, eh! ) then 2nd should be more than possible as our rivals are hardly any more consistent than us. Being less than 10 behind them and a Cup win, I would take that from where we are now. A good season if we do that? Matter of opinion of course but better than I expect right now.

14 Nov 2016 09:02:00
I think acceptable rather than good!

14 Nov 2016 09:02:46
Yes it’s a huge success, we were on the brink of vanishing in darker times, now we are becoming a force to be reckoned with again. Got to be patient, we have paid for our mistakes, some good luck is on the way. Heard a rumor Redbull or an Oil guy want to buy us, who knows we can but dream.

My main worry is when we come second, how many rounds do we need to qualify to get into the Europa League? We badly need money from that and I can't see us winning 3 double headers against experienced Europa Cup teams? Also will we be seeded?

14 Nov 2016 10:21:29
doubt we will be seeded and i'm sure its all the round we must play . I hope and believe that we will finish second .

an oil guy? any names on that one BBG?
red bull won't buy us we don't make a lot of money but I think they could be our sponsors, which is still a good thing for us.
if they want i'd let them name the stadium red bull stadium and hope that we make some more out of them.
I've heard nothing about an "oil guy" though but would welcome the investment as long as there is enough of it.

14 Nov 2016 10:32:49
Kfraser, yes we are too demanding. after where we have been I will take European football next year, finishing 3rd behind an Aberdeen side that has been building itself since we have been gone isn't bad at all. if we finish 2nd it will be a great achievement. The main thing we need is European football, and we need to make sure we get into the group stages.

14 Nov 2016 11:24:17
20 points from a possible 36. We can't beat Hamilton, St Johnstone, Ross County. Players are the 2nd highest paid in Scotland. Let's be honest here Rangers are one step forward, 2 behind. Warburton must go in January.

14 Nov 2016 13:51:38
2nd would be brilliant - don't care abut the gap YET
3rd more realistic, but we must start putting teams away.

14 Nov 2016 16:31:49
Why is third more realistic? Celtic are better than us but we have by far the best squad of what's left!

15 Nov 2016 09:00:26
European football next season must be our aim i think 2nd place was always our aim to win the league this season was too much too soon . let's get 2nd place and regroup in the summer and buy well in transfer market and challenge next season.

15 Nov 2016 09:40:16
Find myself in total agreement with Liverpool Ger here once again. For our first season back up it was always going to be about acclimatising to a much higher level, to what we've been used to over the last 4 years, on our rise back up through the leagues. As a rangers supporter and season ticket holder of over 40 years now, i always have expected rangers to be the best club in scotland, but i have made allowances for this year as most of us do realise it's going to take time, there's NO magic on off button here, as a small minority of our supporters seem to think! I personally would except a top 3 finish for this season, in the hope we can get a wee bit more finance coming into our club, and therefore kick on next season to hopefully bridge the gap between us and celtic. I as rangers supporter would expect us to be really challenging them, for the league title, within 3 years. that's my take on where we've been and given the management a wee bit of time, where we need to be!

14 Nov 2016 03:51:22
Anyone any news or thoughts on Diego Poyet?

14 Nov 2016 09:04:58
not. yet.
