Anyone got a rough idea when new training kit will be released? Cheers.

14 Oct 2017 20:18:42
Thinking that big Bruno should be the new captain. First game in ages that the defenders weren't really caught out of place. they did what they were told. also would be good so that he can shout at the foreigners in their own language. games are won by not conceding and unfortunately Wallace doesn't bollock the players well enough when they're not doing their job. cardoso actually looked alright. going to be hard for Lee to get back in after John's displays.

14 Oct 2017 21:18:09
Wallace should return to the team at left back and move John further forward to play left wing in place of Windass.
Alves would be an outstanding captain but that's up to Caixinha.
In my opinion with Wallace we are a stronger team and based on current performances Windass has struggled to make any impact.

15 Oct 2017 08:45:22
I think Johns still suspect defending but i think he could be pushed on 1 with Wallace in at LB

15 Oct 2017 08:47:53
Harry Forrester and Andy Murdoch scored today. we should never have let them go.

15 Oct 2017 12:58:14
Sarcasm by the way lads ๐Ÿ˜‚.

15 Oct 2017 13:31:06
Maybe we will wait till january and see what the comings and goings are because if we need full time player for the left mid. Its annoying that windass gets pelters but the boy is playing out of position every week. At least he is doing enough to get into the team every week. Yeah he's hot n cold most games but like I said not his natural position. Time will tell but when wallace comes back he will be back in the squad regardless.

14 Oct 2017 20:05:03
I think we are making progress if you look at the table yes we are six points behind but the smelly ones have only scored one more goal than us so if we can sort out the defence like last night then maybe we can get closer than many people on here would think . โœ’โœ’โœ’โœ’.

15 Oct 2017 08:46:14
Still a lot of work to be done so i'm not getting carried away. i know Pena got 2 goals but his overall play has to improve as we can't have passengers. he picks up the ball in dangerous areas so he needs to be a bit sharper and we may have a player on our hands.

14 Oct 2017 17:29:39
So does any think when Wallace is fit he should go back to left back and John pushed forward too to left back?

14 Oct 2017 17:52:44
Yes think that will definitely haft to happen.

14 Oct 2017 17:57:55
Yep, I've been saying this for a few weeks. Can't wait for Wallace to come back.

Hopefully Windass benched before then.

Id play anyone else in the team on the left other than Windass. - but John looks like he could more than do the job when wallace is fit:-)

14 Oct 2017 18:42:07
100% Frustratedbear, I think that in the last few games Pedro's strongest 11 is becoming clearer and when fit the team would read:

Foderingham

Tavernier
Alves
Cardoso
Wallace

Jack
Dorrans

Candeias
Pena
John

Morelos

My top team would have McCrorie in for Cardoso and I wouldn't have a problem with Holt or Rossiter in for Ryan Jack to be honest. Good player but him and Dorrans just aren't working together.

14 Oct 2017 19:31:05
If so would you go for walker or stick with john

14 Oct 2017 21:02:10
I'd try to get both of them signed on pre-contracts in January and let them fight it out for the jersey! Moult I would say is a must on a free, there will be competition for these signings and if we could get a couple of 'quality' players in with whatever cash is available next summer i'd be happy with that business. Ideally we need to be bringing in at least 1, hopefully 2 or 3 players of Morelos potential every season.

15 Oct 2017 08:41:37
Well they both can't play at left back.

15 Oct 2017 08:48:22
Just when we thought the bang average Moult and Walker were fading from the memory.

15 Oct 2017 08:56:39
Moult, Mclean and Walker would be a good start and it wouldn't cost us a penny.

14 Oct 2017 15:08:26
Delighted with last night's win and performance. really pleased for Carlos Pena and Pedro in particular because if we lost last night we would have got slaughtered in the press. I thought the team showed great dig. something we haven't had in ages. I also thought dorrans was great last night but now we must put a few wins together. I've always said Pedro and the players deserve time but unfortunately when your at rangers people don't get time. as u said now it's time to go on a run and first beat Motherwell then kick on again in the league. my only concern is we look a different side away from ibrox so we must start winning again at home but overall I'm delighted as we are starting to look like a much better side. so well done Pedro I'm delighted for him.

14 Oct 2017 17:25:25
What I liked was the players digging in for each other and the way the foreign boy and British boys celebrated the goal together big Bruno's hug too dorrans after his goal said it most of all this team is definitely playing as one now.

14 Oct 2017 11:05:54
When he is fit is there any room for rossiter in the team?

14 Oct 2017 11:16:24
Squad player but a great squad player too have and help stop these injuries happening then a couple years from now he will be the main man for midfield and captain.

14 Oct 2017 11:35:00
Dorrans will be the main man absolutely outstanding v St Johnstone

14 Oct 2017 15:10:58
Think Rossiter has a lot to prove, especially when it comes to fitness.
If he can stay fit, then I do think he is good enough to take Jack's place. But Jack has been great for us this year and Rossiter or anyone else wanting his position will need to work very hard.

14 Oct 2017 18:50:14
I agree with Camoo and I think it's really important we keep hold of him cause he has the attributes to be a really top player for us, he just needs a break to get in the team and a then a spell with no little injuries.
Holt really shouldn't be anywhere near our team in my opinion

15 Oct 2017 00:43:20
Its a shame because he looks the part when he plays but just seems to pick up niggly injuries to often

16 Oct 2017 19:56:15
Anyone else think we look bwtter without Jack? He doesn't do much and a liability when it comes to bookings red cards etc. A rich mans Iain Black from whar I've seen so far.

14 Oct 2017 10:58:56
Dave king could get a job on Bob malcomes ice cream van lol.

14 Oct 2017 09:16:31
Morning everyone, yes it was a terrific result and a decent performance, 3 cracking goals against probably the most aggressive in your face team in the league so well done Rangers. A couple of things for me is please Foderingham don't be looking to pass the ball out ALL the time especially early in the game it's a bomb scare tactics and your hearts in your mouth everyone he does it. Also how good did McCrorrie look at defensive midfield when he came on he looked really good in my opinion. c'mon us.

14 Oct 2017 11:00:58
Well done Pedro and players. Still has some convincing to do but he just needs to keep winning and he'll win me over.

14 Oct 2017 11:18:59
Was a great result against a team we would have dropped points against last season

I don't want to get to carried away as I feel I always end up getting let down so I will keep my expectations low so the team can prove me wrong

14 Oct 2017 14:30:20
They certainly seemed to have more bite about them last night, and are starting to look like a team together, excellent build up to the goals, fods does scare me sometimes with his passing it out, and maybe its time for someone else on the left instead of windass, they coped very well with st johnstones physical approach, which was pleasing to see, and Pedro's interview after the match was the best I've heard from him . let's hope they can keep it up!

15 Oct 2017 00:31:55
how can you say McCorrie played well in DM for like what 10 mins. don't get me wrong we guys looks like a gem.
don't get me wrong I hope this we guy will become a regular at the team and not do a Wilson and leave the team for money and sit on a bench down south.

15 Oct 2017 00:34:59
The young lad McCrorie is a player all right. He slotted in no problem in front of the defence. Another great option for that position. A wee word about Jason Holt. Thought he was terrific!

Midfielders - Part 1

14 Oct 2017 08:21:01
I am a Pedro supporter as I am a diehard rangers supporter. Things are getting better it has taken time and will take longer, but it is with our support no matter what that shall make this easier for the team and manager. Plenty one here want it fixed straight away but that will never happen we need to realise that. Last night we had fight and that is what is needed we a getting there. So for all those of a negative persuasion remember these words'
'Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers. ' (Bill Struth)

14 Oct 2017 08:51:20
Well said Gary, I have always backed Pedro and I came on here after the old firm defeat and said that Pedro will be judged on the results over the coming months, so far so good, that was a tough place to go last night and one where we may have dropped points last season. We continue to improve and there is more to come I believe! We all need to get behind Pedro and the team! For me Windass and Cardoso are the only changes I'd make for next week and I totally agree with the poster who said push John up to Left wing/ mid once Wallace is back! I fear however Pedro will never drop Cardoso for some reason

14 Oct 2017 11:02:38
Good post but at rangers you don't get time, you need to win.

14 Oct 2017 11:17:06
Aye that's good jason but have you seen what's happened over the last 7 years. Do you remember what it was like 1980/ 86 we were nowhere near it

14 Oct 2017 11:40:02
I think Cardoso will always start alongside Alves barring injuries.
I was the poster who suggested moving John to left wing when Wallace returns.

15 Oct 2017 00:35:28
The only thing missing in the OF defeat was heart. Unfortunately it is a massive thing and we will never again win one of those games without it.

15 Oct 2017 00:36:16
Because he is a decent player maybe?

15 Oct 2017 08:42:06
I suggested that the day John appeared. It was obvious that's why he was brought to Ibrox. It's the final piece in the jigsaw for now.

14 Oct 2017 02:38:13
Pena was "excellent? ". good result tonight for us, but Pena is the weirdest player ever, looks very cumbersome in every way but gets into great final positions. sorry for the slight negative slant but we need more off him. general retention is shocking.

14 Oct 2017 09:47:41
From what I saw he is improving it looks like he has proper vision but when the ball comes to him its as if he is trying too much with his first touch and it weirdly bounces off him. Still an improvement but lots more work to be done.

14 Oct 2017 11:04:10
Hopefully Pena lives up to the 2.5m price tag.

15 Oct 2017 00:24:00
Dont be sorry mate i couldn't agree more. his play actually borders on shocking at times but he seems to be able to be in the right place at the right time

13 Oct 2017 23:40:34
Great fight much better, although we didn't really get a grip of the game until they went down to ten men. Pena took both goals well but still still his passing and control is shocking at times, however I will admit he was much better. Cardoso is a bomb scare. We did fight for 90mins which was pleasing.

14 Oct 2017 02:45:13
I watched the game and I'd like you to tell me more than one instance where Pena's passing and control was 'shocking', never mind 'at times'. Just two will do. And does winning 1-0 away fro home constitute to you that we didn't have a grip of the game? Have you the first idea about football or are you just what we all believe you to be, a professional whinger who is no lover of Rangers?

14 Oct 2017 09:34:10
Bigsam you are deluded, keep it up tho as your good for a laugh. When we were winning 1-0, St Johnstone were well in the game so yes that constitutes that we did have a grip of the game. As I said we were much better and we had fight. But I would like to see us finish off teams with 11 men the way we did when they went down to 10. Upto the sending off it was a pretty even game. As for pena his touch and passing is shocking at times and there was more than a few instances that proved that. Take nothing away from his finishes tho, very good.

14 Oct 2017 09:52:20
On the topic of improvement, tav had a really good game. Got forward set up pena and wad actually back defending. Either they are really working hard or it was a lucky friday 13th for us.

14 Oct 2017 10:39:49
Both of tav's crosses for pena were class, hope he keeps it up. Can't understand why fod looks for the short pass out all the time. Every time he does this its panic mode for me.

15 Oct 2017 00:25:30
Coldo i have to agree with u mate. Penas overall play is actually terrible at times but he has a good habit of bn in the right place at the right time

13 Oct 2017 23:40:01
So what now to all the pena and pedro haters, get behind them and the team

14 Oct 2017 08:23:23
Del the team played really well last night, we need a run of games before we all sing PC praises. Again though well played and a great sense of togetherness.

14 Oct 2017 09:30:32
fod, did u not at least see enough to give them the benefit of doubt?

14 Oct 2017 09:54:36
Did you read enough of my post? Like I said a run of games is what's needed and I hope this is the start but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Semi final next saturday against motherwell.

15 Oct 2017 00:42:03
@fod - the problem is that if we lose against Motherwell, Pedro will get slated on here yet you aren't prepared to give him any praise for the latest victory.

13 Oct 2017 22:58:30
All this debate over man of the match to me it was morals his work rate and effort was outstanding but also Alves and Doreen's was excellent Pena is starting to get there never questioned his ability and tavs deliverys were brilliant oh and s clean sheaf so all in all excellent great result enjoyed the game ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿป.
