Just had a look at official Rangers FC website & checked out the 'gallery' photos. Isn't it great to see everybody smiling again. Long may it continue.

onward & upward

"I have been lucky - lucky in those who were around me from the boardroom to the dressing-room. In time of stress, their unstinted support, unbroken devotion to our club and calmness in adversity eased the task of making Rangers FC the premier club in this country.

"To be a Ranger is to sense the sacred trust of upholding all that such a name means in this shrine of football. They must be true in their conception of what the Ibrox tradition seeks from them. No true Ranger has ever failed in the tradition set him.

"Our very success, gained you will agree by skill, will draw more people than ever to see it. And that will benefit many more clubs than Rangers. Let the others come after us. We welcome the chase. It is healthy for us. We will never hide from it. Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity.

"No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers."

A statement from our greatest ever manager Bill Struth. It would seem that the great man could look into the future - never a truer word has been said.

born June 16th 1876

died September 21st 1956

Rousing stuff, so it is.

15 Sep 2015 11:17:15
Fantastic aye ready been a fan of that quote since I first heard it its everything a ger is and should strive to uphold already have plans to get it tattooed on to myself so reminds me everyday rangers are more than a club we, re a family

15 Sep 2015 11:18:59
Does anyone know where I would get struths signature or will I have to ask the family for permission?

15 Sep 2015 18:31:55
You will see his autograph come up if you type in

Bill Struth' autograph = print it off and it is yours

15 Sep 2015 20:21:12
snowbaw, he died in 1956, think you might struggle

15 Sep 2015 21:13:02
What I means is would I need permission as it someone else's signature?

15 Sep 2015 21:52:22
Permission for what?

It would depend what you wanted to do, imo.

16 Sep 2015 06:13:38
Just get it tattooed at the bottom of the quote

16 Sep 2015 09:18:04
If you want it as a tattoo then you do not have a problem.

16 Sep 2015 19:06:50
Cheers aye ready

16 Sep 2015 11:28:01
Why in gods name would u think u would need to get permission to have a tattoo on Your arm ? Elvis must have spent a lot of time giving permissions out eh ?

16 Sep 2015 20:59:48
I can't believe why no one is asking why you would get it tattooed on yourself to start with.

17 Sep 2015 19:00:58
Why wold I not its a fantastic quote. What is the problem with getting something like that tattoo on theirself

17 Sep 2015 19:02:09
It was a simple question tomtom

14 Sep 2015 17:36:28
With FIFA being fully investigated for corruption I hope this sets a precedent for all the would be spivs past and present who use football fans and there clubs as cash cows. It's happened to us and various other teams.
I see Ahmed is now refusing to co-operate with Scottish authorities say they are part of a religious side show. This coming from a man that accepts racial abuse from a so called friend.

14 Sep 2015 20:55:37
Ahmed is a crook hiding behind carefully worded crap that a sharp suited lawyer has written for him, he is a disgrace, and should never be allowed to work in this country again, he has proved his own guilt by his refusal, so **** him, the thieving little crook, his day in court will come with the rest of the spivs who fleeced our club.

14 Sep 2015 20:25:37
He pulls no punches & states what we all knew all along. Police & RFC " No Comments". Offering the man safe passage then the police do a u-turn.

14 Sep 2015 21:22:59
there is one thing certain if they got whyte in mexico they will get him in america

14 Sep 2015 23:13:12
I notice you don't ridicule his comments on what the Ethos of the Club/company are as it's all to true

16 Sep 2015 15:37:02
Steffantos, and what's the Ethos of your Club/company turn a blind eye

16 Sep 2015 23:17:08
Nope no blind eye here. Its a minority with celtic fans these days (apart from the old brigade mob Fergus tried to stamp out rows 111 nowadays) Wheras its well more than the minority ( Even a Broadcaster had to apologise live on air due to the bile speed). Xenophobic with a superiority complex hence "Watp"

14 Sep 2015 15:38:53
I would like to start a thread about davie weir and his influence on this team. I remember a very good manager in Brian clough and his assistant Peter Taylor.Peter who never really got the applause he deserved they had a bit of a spat and fell out both were never the same again

14 Sep 2015 15:49:12
Sorry ed hit the send button by mistake what I'm trying to say is I think as a unit this management team is better than the some of there parts

14 Sep 2015 18:28:33
In Weir we trust

KT

ps You are spot on tactics, training, discipline, organising defence and deciding on the types of players we sign for their team. It is more than a one man job, throw in Weir's experience in Scotland and in particular at Rangers he can keep Warburton up to spec on things only a Rangers veteran would know.

14 Sep 2015 15:28:06
Was thinking, I know its a Tuesday night and people are working etc. But wouldn't it be brilliant if we could get 45k+ ticket sales for the St Johnstone game.

This is our toughest challenge yet under W&W and getting Ibrox bouncing would really show Scottish football that we are back and on our way back to the top of Scottish football. Would be unreal.

Anyway I am really quite positive we can get the result against St J. predictions? 3-1 is my shout!!!

14 Sep 2015 20:37:44
Not doubting we could get a full house but I'm sure the club deck is closed for the St Johnstone game.

14 Sep 2015 23:47:04
Who are the muppets on here today who keep clicking disagree where it is patently obvious that it isn't an issue? Eg the Bill Struth post!

15 Sep 2015 09:55:21
Take a mad stab in the dark DOIGER.

14 Sep 2015 18:52:06
Personally my thoughts were on here a few days ago with all the hype and nonsense about 10-0 v Livi, my post on here was expect 3-0. That said as St Johnstone MIGHT come to play football as they are the team from the higher league, if they make that mistake we will destroy them 7-0 or 8-0 that is a far better bet than Livi and Championship games these teams from now on will all be backs to the wall and as witnessed kick our ball players off the park. Hard to get room for huge wins in those circumstances. Hibs lost 6-2 thinking they could open up against us the 1-0 game they were far tighter as a team defence wise.

So I am hoping St Johnstone come out and play as this will suit us perfectly and if they do I see us scoring over 6. Money on it already

People do not seem to understand outside of Hearts, Celtic and the top dogs Aberdeen the rest of SPFL is not far removed from the top teams in the Championship Falkirk, QoS, Hibs and St Mirren are all of a similar standard of players and squad as all the other SPFL teams. Rangers are currently somewhere around the top 3 we will see when we beat St Johnstone by a mile that then the top 3 will recognise the level Rangers are at already. Scotland is a woeful standard of football and signing players from English sides such as Wigan that were recently in EPL was a masterstroke by Warburton, Answer me this honestly do you seriously think Hearts or Celtic could be in top half of the Championship far less the SPFL even Aberdeen I feel would struggle to be in top 4 of the Championship. All Warburton had to do was forge a team the standard of Brentford to match and surpass Scottish SPFL teams.... he has done that and that is why I have over £5k placed at various bookies on Rangers taking Aberdeen's title off them next season. I have Sheep to win SPFL 6+ points also

It is actually simple logic Brentford 1 game in playoffs from the EPL and Celtic/Aberdeen humiliated by Malmo and some team from Borat's homeland this translates as Rangers = Brentford or better = SPFL in the bag and likely both domestic Cups this season

ED please post this as I want to scan and save it to repost next year after Cups won and we are top of SPFL

KT

16 Sep 2015 01:23:49
Sorry no matter how you dress it up the FACT is Rangers are the 13th placed Club in Scotland & it won't change even if You win 20-0 every week until promotion is won.

14 Sep 2015 14:06:46
Interesting to read that MK is in for the long haul by stating that is goal is to see European nights again at Ibrox - good to hear, so it is.

I am pleased that he has plans to remain at Ibrox long term and set in place a solid foundation for generations to build upon.

I see Hibs are already up to their tricks again - Jason Cummings stating that he cannot wait to get revenge on The Famous Glasgow Rangers.

It is amazing that a club who do not talk about other players of clubs sure do a lot of talking about The Famous Glasgow Rangers, so they do!!

And it is not amazing that The Famous Glasgow Rangers do not say they do not talk about other players and clubs - they just do not do it, neither they do!!

14 Sep 2015 14:59:32
Not familiar with this MK neither I am.

14 Sep 2015 15:22:29
oops - neither am I - MW - but you knew that, I presume.

14 Sep 2015 19:00:25
Is this the same club whose chairman was speaking about Scott Allan ( a Celtic player I believe ) and talking about how rangers were only 5 players short of challenging Celtic ( is that not another team ) just the other day ? You guys really do live in your own wee world, lol .

14 Sep 2015 19:28:34
He winding you up so he is

14 Sep 2015 20:21:38
fab1

Was that your club whose chief exec said that Aberdeen were not up celtic class?

Was that your club whose manager said Aberdeen would not win?

Was that your club whose asst manager said no team in Scotland could match celtic?

Was that your manager whose said to Malmo that they were not sheep that they were lyins!!!!!

As we go up we will meet you on the way down!!

14 Sep 2015 16:12:59
How many years accounts are required to gain entry to European Football?! I've heard folk say 3 years. How many sets of accounts have RFC provided so far? If Mr King states there's enough money for 6 months & loans ( soft ones will be required) I know a loans a LOAN I think I will apply to my bank for a soft loan & find out the Apr rate on offer).

So if loans are required till the end of Season how will that effect acceptance due to having to submit accounts that have unpaid loans & external loans to keep afloat from MA & the 3 bears. On the park all is going great & that shifts the limelight from the utter turmoil behind the scenes. Europee Nights might not be on the Agenda for 4 or 5 years

14 Sep 2015 23:30:57
Nonsense, steffantos. The three year accts issue is a European requirement but we will meet that criteria anyway. However, even without them the sfa can support a club to secure a European place if good reasons are provided as to why there is a break in the accounts.

15 Sep 2015 08:55:34
Steffantos by your reckoning celtic shouldn't be in Europe then as they are in debt and have got loans that's why desmond and co-op get paid every month

15 Sep 2015 10:41:43
Steff one thing for sure if we did need a loan we wouldn't be asking your lot. you are up past your eyebrows in debt. drowning, but if your support tend to ignore it don't come back here screaming we didn't know about our debt, cause a few on here have pointed it out time after time after time,

15 Sep 2015 14:32:46
Bear82, if that was the case None of the Top European Clubs could enter. I was asking regarding The 3 years Audited Accounts, So if by chance RFC win the Scottish Cup You are saying RFC will enter into Europe for Next Season? Not a chance of it happening i would say. Will there be outcrys & a Boycott of EUROPE? So no family holiday's next year then lol. Have RFC produced 3 years Audited Accounts tho?

14 Sep 2015 13:10:25
Couple of questions.
1: Do you think we will be able to keep any of our loans signings next year?
2: would you change the style of play/formation for the st. johnstone game?

14 Sep 2015 15:05:54
Fintytint we've got to start the game as we have the others.I'm sure Warbs has a few tactical tweaks he can apply should they be needed.
It will be a step up though and give us a more realistic idea of where we are.

14 Sep 2015 15:07:42
I would say the only one maybe ball and wouldn't change a thing 4_3_3 what does everyone else think

14 Sep 2015 14:49:49
no and no

14 Sep 2015 17:46:29
Raw it would not surprise me in the least to see john eustance play in the up and coming cup game, just a sneaky we feeling.

14 Sep 2015 19:04:50
Flinty

It does not matter for following reasons

1. EPL spent £860million approx bringing in top players in the World to play in their top division. Some teams like Arsenal have played a starting 11 of all foreigners. This means that there is a huge overspill now of talented English and foreigners NOT playing first team footie in EPL. Therefore hundreds to scout and choose from

2. Warburton clearly has a magic touch as well as hat judging by fact on this rumours site only Danny Wilson was touted as a signing most of us have not heard of the rest of them.... WE HAVE NOW lolol. On that basis the mantra "In Warburton we trust" could never be more true. IF and that is if Arsenal and Spurs decide their kids are ready next season Warburton will have teams lining up at his the door offering up their starlets to be schooled by him and Weir in front of 50000 sellouts in SPFL and likely Europe (Scottish Cup winners I believe we will be).

So Flinty regardless of what happens we will have Zelalem, Goduwa and Ball or 3 other future superstars throw in Warbs will find another couple of Taverniers and Wahgorns or Hallidays and Holts it is ALL good.

On a final note look at the state of the donkey Delilah sourced from Man City Boyata though he is their top scorer right enuff lolol, and look at all Warburton's choices nuff said

Hello gullibles, sorry I could not get on yesterday but had a nice family day.
Anyway I have just read all the gloating posts on here after one defeat away to our main rivals, Aberdeen are a good team and at home are formidable, in saying that over the entire season I still expect Celtic to be champions. These forums are like the radio phone ins, after a defeat all the doom and gloom merchants are given more space, was I disapointed? yes of course but Celtic will win much more games than they lose.
Now on to the "10-0" brigade on here all swallowing the hype by bookies to get you all to lose your money. You were playing the bottom team who have so many problems yet only managed a 3-0 win at home (seven goals short for your bets)
I also had a wee chuckle at your "Celtic are scared of drawing us in a cup" really? our UNDER TWELVE team would beat your present team, you are in a lower league for a reason, your players are not good enough for the premier league.
I hope we are paired together in a cuptie as I would rather play your team than a difficult tie at Alloa lol

14 Sep 2015 14:40:32
Pity you didn't put your under 12s out against Malmo, chew on that thought chuckles!

14 Sep 2015 14:46:46
timalloy

I'm sure your under 12 side wouldn't be as immature as you with some of your comments and rather than talk through each of your points which would be pointless with you. All I would say is that if your going to post then please grow up and think before you post. All you have done yet again is embarrass yourself

14 Sep 2015 14:54:55
He Timmy. Nearly spat my Piña Colada all over the bar laughing there. Any time any place any where. I have been watching your beloved and they are not a patch on the positively avereage team you had last year.

14 Sep 2015 15:31:52
Tim what was your record against Aberdeen last year would you say your playing with the same skill pace etc Because I don't.I have watched a number of celtic games I would say this is the worst team in a lot of years as for the 10-0 brigade I think the average score in this league will be 4-0 but if they up there game and take there chances could happen as for Livingston I understand there tactics blocking kicking players etc but I'm sure Warburton aware that's what is going to happen. when players have an inquest after a 3-0 win with 66% position player apologising on twitter for letting standard slip I'm a very happy bear

14 Sep 2015 17:09:50
I love reading Timaloy posts on here. He's obviously at the windup but he trys to hard which turns into a great laugh. I'm only 29 but going back as far as I can remember I can't think of a worse Celtic side, that includes Barnes and Mowbrays teams. I don't for a second think we are better than Celtic at the moment but I do think we aren't far behind and with 3 or 4 good signings next year and an extra couple of decent squad players I'm sure we will be more than a match for them. Any team captained by a midfielder who can't pass, doesn't score and can't tackle can't be that great.

14 Sep 2015 18:19:10
Timmy looking forward to the charity of my choice benefiting from our wee bet, yous are a bad lot and look like shipping points everytime you take to the park SWEET.

14 Sep 2015 17:49:46
Op your under 12 couldn't beat our under 12, so maybe engage that big empty heed ae yours before posting on our site,

14 Sep 2015 08:31:34
I'm sure it's been brought up here before and is probably well down the priority list, but does anyone else cringe when they look on at the state of Ibrox?

The new board have been in place long enough now to have identified this as a point of pride if nothing else.

I realize this can't be put right by spending a couple of grand but surely something can be done to at least improve the cosmetic appearance of the area around the pitch. ( i.e. the one part of the stadium that's picked up by the tv cameras)

The perceived image of Rangers used to be a point of importance to a lot of fans and I think it's high time those in power turned their attention to these area's.

14 Sep 2015 11:19:46
Renovation of Ibrox started last week. Rome wasn't built in a day.

14 Sep 2015 12:00:13
Before a nail can be hammered DK has to appoint an architect / building surveyor / structural surveyor to carry out a condition survey in and around his property. Once the condition survey has been produced he will need to discuss and prioritise what and when needs to be done with his newly appointed project manager. Once this has been agreed they will need to go to tender and then choose the appropriate main contractors and sub-contractors to carry out the works, as per the condition survey.

14 Sep 2015 13:11:58
It's a problem that was addressed when the new board was put into place. The previous regime had the money from season tickets to actually improve the Stadium but absolutely ignored it. Quotes for work have been coming in but the procurement procedure will take its time. Let's not forget it's from the pitch to the roof that needs looked at. We are a work in progress.

14 Sep 2015 13:26:58
Aye ready as one of the boy's in the pub commented on Saturday a power washer and a lick of paint would be an immediate improvement though.

14 Sep 2015 14:41:19
All the signs and doorways have been replaced already. What u want a new stadium?

14 Sep 2015 15:08:31
Never noticed any the signs or doorways from the telly however couldn't help but notice that eyesore of a running track and hoardings surrounding the pitch both in need of a right good wash. It's an observation Cee

14 Sep 2015 11:20:21
there is nothing to stop cleaning the place at the trackside and a coat of paint here and there i see some of the security gates at turnstiles have been replaced but it would not cost a fortune do cleaning and painting

14 Sep 2015 14:20:30
Asbestos removal will cost a few million. I've even heard that the VIP area has gaffer tape holding together the carpet & areas with buckets catching rain water! What once was a 5 star stadium is now a Depleted Stadium & the surroundings Areas are a shambles

14 Sep 2015 17:00:54
God almighty, can we just let them get on with the wonderful job they're. Doing m8, u want. Everything. Done in weeks? Get a grip
Tommy

15 Sep 2015 12:19:18
Come on guys. Everything's going well and people still find stuff to moan about. If you had been at the game you would have noticed work has started, not much but it's an improvement, give it time!

15 Sep 2015 22:22:38
Ls I was at the game, it was while watching the highlights later on rtv I noticed the state of the trackside which is why I brought the point up.

I understand completely stadium improvements will take time given everything else we have to get in order. My only concern is how dirty it looks to others looking on.

Yes it's a small point and I accept its probably trivial but can't help feeling it wouldn't take much to put right if only for appearances sake. I repeat its not a moan it's an observation
Next time you see the cameras on the dugout and surrounding area you will see what I mean.

14 Sep 2015 08:29:06
ticket sales looking slow for St Johnstone! Is the game on the box?

14 Sep 2015 09:42:09
Yes -- BBC.

14 Sep 2015 09:56:35
Live on BBC Alba

14 Sep 2015 09:59:00
Apologies Ed - it's live on BBC 1 Scotland ( not Alba)

14 Sep 2015 10:52:50
It's on BBC 1 I think

14 Sep 2015 11:21:26
The game is on STV, Also due to the kick off being 7:15pm this might be an issue to a lot of people. it'll be a crowd of around 40k+

14 Sep 2015 11:22:31
dont know whether its on telly or not but the big problem is punters can't afford 2 games a week or pay season books along with games that have to be paid for

14 Sep 2015 12:16:10
if its a 7 15 pm kickoff that will reduce crowd greatly don't see a 40 k plus crowd

14 Sep 2015 17:51:57
Only shows it should be a full house our end anyway, let's see how many fans the opposition bring through with them.
