In my opinion, McCoist hasn't done too bad so far. A blip on the first day and out of the UEFA champions league are the only negatives so far. The targets we missed out on actually benefited us because it separated the greedy players from the loyal players and to be honest I would rather have the loyal ones. He has the complete backing from the board and Craig Whyte so I want Ally to succeed and I personally think he will.

St Etienne's Carlos Bocanegra is the latest central defender to attract Rangers' interest.

The Ibrox club has contacted the French side about the availability of the captain of the US national team.

Bocanegra started his career with Chicago Fire, before playing for Fulham and Rennes.

The 32-year-old from California has been capped 93 times by his national side and joined St Etienne for a fee of £400,000 in July 2010.

Scottish champions Rangers have joined Wigan Athletic’s interest in former West Ham United full-back Lars Jacobsen.

The Dane is a free agent after turning a new contract at Upton Park and is now being pursued by the ‘Gers and the Latics according to reports.

Ally McCoist is still looking to bring in defensive reinforcements and the 31-year old former Everton and Blackburn Rovers would be a great signing as he has extensive experience playing in England’s top flight.

I'm guessing you guys will all have read Derek Ferguson in the Daily Rebel today... What most of you might not be aware of is that it has kicked off at Rangers It is no great secret that Derek Ferguson is saying what Ally is thinking and wants out there. It is obviously timed to put pressure on Whyte. It has I work for 88 Events, we run some of the hospitality at Ibrox and Derek, along with a few other Rangers legends, works with us to host various do's. He is a nice guy who most of us have spent time with and has made no secret this would happen if Whyte did not support Ally. Juhasz was the last straw I'm told. My manager was at Ibrox today to get details for the return leg of the Europa game and was told by our Rangers events co-ordinator (I wont say which one) that not much can be done just now as WW111 had kicked off. Watch this space...

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Agree, heard the same from a pal of Neil Murray's earlier today.

Ally is furious that Smith said the fans were upset by results, not lack of signings

How the hell are both sides of the old firm going to get any better when week in week out we are playineg guff like caley ect... Without spending millions that if we are honest we dont have to spend.

Im a gers fan but i thank god for the challange that thne seltic bring coz if not for that what would we have to look forward 2?

Bears one things for certain, Super Ally will always be super Ally, IF management doesn't work out for him and I think it will then he'll still be Mr. Rangers. Lee Wallace was a great signing, Matt McKay looks like a good player, some people aren't convinced with Juanma but I think some of his play is terrific and he should be played on the right, Dorin Goian so far looks like a great bargain and fans of his previous clubs think he's a hero and wee Ale Bedoya is a highly rated young player, sign up Gregg Wylde too I think he wants to stay but just wants a reasonable wage. In Ally we trust, Rangers we love you

i really think ally should give the youth a chance this season along with another 1 or 2 new signings i think we will have a very good squad . murray park is now showing the fruits of its labour at last ...bigt

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Murray Park is showing ''the fruits'' have you been on the mad tablets mate? There have been better than this lot at Murray Park been freed in the past.....give us a list of your Murray Park starlets then........the quality coming through is ''dire''' that's why we are in for the likes of Davidson, that's us saying there is no better than Murray Davidson at Murray Park, oh, and at the time, only 3 years ago, we signed Kirk Broadfoot, because there was 'no better' than a Big Kirk at Murray Park either. You think of the years (12) it has been there, and the number of players that pass through there every year, and the players produced is shocking....''fruits''' fruitcake i think you are.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are talking mince there is real talent at murray park but rangers managers past and possibly present have never gave these guy,s a sustained, run in the team, ness, hutton, perry, wylde, macmillan, etc, bb

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you trying to say Jamie ness is crap greeg wylde charlie Adam Danny Wilson john fleck hemmings little McMillan Burke mcgregor all these players were or are the youth system at murry park so don't talk so much pish and eventually the quality will get better but you cant deny these players a mentioned is talented young players

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok then name me the young players who are better than what we have now who have been freed .rangers have a great crop of young players coming through ....bigt

Agree0 Disagree0

McGregor is the only one who has proved himself at Rangers. Wilson is a good prospect, but has still to prove himself. Wouldn't be surprised if he disappears in the fullness of time. Adam has now turned out to be a good player since leaving Rangers. The jury is still out on the rest.

Agree0 Disagree0

You can see Ness has the ability to be a top player. Fair enough he was due to go on loan last season but what did he go and do? Make his debut against celtic and didn't look out his depth, then go on and score goal of the season against them in the scottish cup game. He performed really well when he was in the side and what happens when he returns this season? we dominate a game that he influenced from the 1st minute. Fleck will never play for mccoist after he told him to f--k off pre season a few years back, ness has a total different attitude to fleck, so i'm backing the lad to be our best product from murray park in a long long time

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2011 15:24:46
Jamie Ness may just be the key to Rangers getting the best from Mo Edu. I don't think it's a coincidence that his return to the first team sees edu have his best game in a rangers jersey for a long time. Take the pressure of having to take the ball off the back 4 and start attacks away from Edu and let him do what he looks good at. That being running from midfield beyond the striker. He broke his neck trying to get on the end of Ortiz cross for the jelavic disallowed goal and then he was 1st to react to the penalty. Would he have been as focused on getting the rebound from the penalty if he was deployed in a defensive midfield position? I don't believe so. A midfield of Ness, Davis and Edu looks pretty good if Edu goes on a wee run from here. The suspension may very well give the guy the rest he deserves. Played really well on saturday, all we need is a bit more of an edge going forward as the passing and movement in midfield was excellent at times. Jamie Ness could be the main man this season

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I would reserve judgement on Ness, seen it all before with our 'wonder' boys in fact we still have one of the 'all time' gonna be wonder boys , John Fleck Ness has a chance, but just remember, a loan deal to CLYDE was sanctioned only last season, then he got injured so never went.....caution i think.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he hit's form and manages to hold it mebey. mite be like davis tho, cppl of good games and a cppl of nighmares.

c-bear85

Agree0 Disagree0

Gotta comment on this, I like everyone else hav been dissapointed with edu ... well lets br honest he has looked as poor a player as we have seen at times int aht CM. However the one thing i have always said about him is the guy busts a GUT big time. Wath the next game he is in fellow bears.... wenever the opposition has the ball he is one of the first players to close down. Tracking back he is very good (which is why Smith used him all the time) the next game u watch wait for a teamt o counter us and watch edu overtake every midfielder gettin back into position. As you said he is also good at bursting thro the centre to support an attacker. Id defo always have ness or hutton in ther with him to collect the ball and start the moves with edu playing the "run about daft role" cos the guy is easily capable of doing it .... has he not playing for like nearly 2 1/2 seasons without a break now international and domestic might even be near 3? (please correct me if im wrong)

GTID

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster, I think you have philosophised Edu's performance into something a lot deeper than it actually was, or moreso, that it wasn't. Just coomon sense really and got little to do with him being enthusiatic or trying harder. If you aren't in a DM position of course you'll have more freedom. Edu is rank rotten and it's about time he repaid the club and fans by doing something that wasn't useless. But like he done against Valencia, he cancels it out.

I was really optimistic and looking forward to this season. After our steamroller of a finish to last season clinching the title in style, a new owner, the debt cleared and the prospect of chamions league football, it all made for a great summer prior to the new campaign. I have never been so let down in my entire life I have followed Rangers since I have been a boy, through the early seventies watching treble winning sides and some excellent players. Suffered the abject misery of the early eighties and then the Souness uprising, and on to the magic of 9 in a row, and the tremendous Advocaat era, with some more tremendous players. We then went on our stop start run of titles, and humblings up to the present day. We had a debt that would have crippled a small country, but fought through it together, and have come out the other end. We won another 3 in a row and had been reading and hearing about funds, getting new signings, bringing in experienced men and former players ( SMITH ) BUT , during the opening of the transfer window, the start of the new season and up to now has been a farce. we have speculated and heard all sorts of dealings have fallen through, but where is the proprted EXTRA cash we heard about last month ? In truth, there is no way of knowing what we have, or had to spend, but we have spent next to nothing on new and much needed signings. We are in a bad place, I really seriously doubt that Whyte has any interest in football, let alone Rangers. This man is a charlatan and is using the media to advertise his other business interests, lets face it, that is a cheaper advertising option, is it not. Questions need to be asked, and FOOTBALL needs to be the things Whyte focuses on. Why have we not manged to complete deals for decent players to ensure we got past an average side like Malmo ? Why are we talking about players like, Davidson, Murphy, Hately, and this guy Hamilton ? It is clear, we will finish the season with the current squad, as there is NO MONEY The supporters trusts should be making themselves heard, just tell the fans the truth, if no money then tell us. We need to be in a position to move forward and not worrying................ A WORRIED BEAR FOR LIFE

Believable4 Unbelievable3

But you not telling the truth mate, you are only speculating. How do you know Whyte is not trust worthy? Do you know him personally? The guy has been in charge for 3 months give him a break. Was it not spending money on average players and inflated salaries that got us into this mess? If being extra cautious in the transfer market is what it takes to secure our long term future well I’ll take that rather than administration mate. If you were a real supporter you would stop attacking the team and management and get behind them no matter what.

c-bear85

Agree0 Disagree0

Point to ONE single isntance where I ATTACKED the team ? I am a lifelong fan, is 85 your birth year ? You missed so much, don't let this man deny you a decent team. Stop your garbage about give him support, he needs to step up and take us forward. READ the post again and tell me where I attacked the team, read it properly this time, SON

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate 85 is my birth year yes but being older certainly has not made you wiser. You attacked Craig Whyte who is the owner of my beloved Glasgow Rangers..yes the man who did buy us and possibly save us. Now the guy has not been given a proper chance has he? Just cos he's not came in and splashed millions doesn't mean he is a charlatan. Are you aware of the business Craig Whyte is in? If you are, publicity is the last thing you want. I doubt destroying Rangers (which u are kinda suggesting) would make him a hero (in fact I believe he would prob be murdered or at least harassed for the rest of his life if he did).
What is your basis on not trusting Whyte? Just simply because he is not willing to pay over inflated prices for players? That’s it People like you just breed fear in a situation where there is no need for it. So what we have only signed 4 players, but that’s 2 more the Septic. We have also put some big players on new long term contracts, also 3mil into stadium, which is taking us forward. We have to realize mate there will be no 5 million pound players, no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
We have a long time to wait before we see the glory days again. How about a name mate since we all teddy bears here.? And yeh you prob do have rangers at heart not saying you don’t.

c-bear85

Agree0 Disagree0

Again, read the post properly, I have stated that I want him to come out and give us answers. I am sure we can accept if he is trying to protect the club from the same mistakes as the Murray regime. The point of fact however, is that we have heard Ally mcCoist in interviews state that we have interest in players, valuations for said players have not been met, it has nothing to do with the amount that the players are supposedly worth. I am merely pointing out that Craig Whyte has spoken very little and made no promises, but he WAS quoted as saying that an EXTRA £ 10-15 mil would be made available, it has not, so WHY say that ? I am not concerned about any players in particular we have not signed, it is the not signing good enough players on time for the Euro deadlines, which has cost us a potential c/l windfall, and that to me suggests that he was banking on that money to invest. It is now questionable whether we are strong enough to get past Maribor, I want more than anything to watch a good entertaining and if possible a winning Rangers team, NEVER in my life have I attacked any Rangers side, christ I've watched enough poor ones in the past. I just want, as do many others, some clear indication as to where this man is taking you're beloved club. Questions need to be answered and yourself and many others are being sucked in and blinkered by a man who has yet to publicly announce where we as a club will be in the next 1- 5 years. Where is the master plan ? what is plan b if we fail in the Europa? We need answers, it is too easy to be blinded by the love of your club, I have no doubt yours is as strong and deep rooted as mine, I have the many tattoos as a endless reminder........... still, it is not about me, the FANS need answers to so many questions, or it may be a very, very long season. I believe we missed our chance to leave our east end rivals in our dust by not aquiring quality early on in the transfer window, you just watch the fall out at the end of this one, i'll be vindicated when we get the next Jerome Rothen............ Supplying a name serves you no purpose, but if it helps, Rangers ' til I die........... I don't always sign off. maybe change it to Anders63

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said to the first post - your bang on. Whyte has put in f*k all and the sooner everyone realises that the better He paid a quid for us and he has so far spent zero net when u factor in the Adam money and Bougy cash. Yea he has signed up the old players but that is not pad up front and is from our operating budget. I am not amused as he should be putting in his money, he isn't and I'm really not convinced. One thing is for sure, we need to make them know we are not happy, he thinks he can feed us any old s**te and we all agree. How can anyone stick up for this man when he has done nothing??

It annoys the shot out of me when I see him holding the league trophy last season, he doesn't deserve that yet, that has to be earned. I do hope he proves me wrong but I doubt it after seeing how we are operating in the transfer market. If we had money he invested, we would of got goowillie, hemed, dans etc, he will ruin us mark my words. If he does he will never be able to freely walk about in Scotland again.

Jas

Agree0 Disagree0

C-bear Celtic have signed three players mate, Wanyama, Matthews and Wilson. Plus our squad is maturing. Rangers will be well deserving of the league flag if they win it this year, without the help from Craig Whyte. He has treated your team like his businesses. He has tried to buy players that McCoist wanted but refused to put in decent offers, much like Celtic have done recently with the polish GK. Whyte should carry the can for the loss to Malmo. He should have had faith in McCoist when he wanted Conway, Hamed, Goodwillie etc.

Dundee Utd admitted rangers put in the best bid, but only when
goodwiilie was having his medical. Goodwillie WOULD have made a difference to your result in Malmo.

Now if we won the SPL last year i'm sure we can do it again. tbh I think the new lad and barkley at the back are fine with weir and Papac as back up. Think we should focus on midfeild and a forward. Three players at most. What gets on my wick is guys saying we are a laughing stock in the transfer market and we need more players then saying give youth a chance...wit?? I'm not a believer in conspiracies, however I am beginning to wonder The 3 match ban for Whitty is outrageous Another example of how Rangers are not wanted in Europe and are being singled out. This is the result of not clamping down on the scum that associate themselves with us

I know a lot of you will think I am being outrageous myself, if there is one thing other than buy players, Whyte needs to start a PR machine to start getting our club back on track.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

I disagree, whitty is a pro football player and if he is stupid enough to throw a ball at someone in a school girl tantrum then he should be out for 3 games. It sucks for us but he is an idiot for doing it and he also cost us the game and probably the CL money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

In my view 3 games is ridiculous. Normally a straight red is a 2 game I think in Europe. IMO it was petulance more than violent conduct.

As for being "singled out" don't talk bollocks. The moronic element of your support let you down in regards to the ban. On the pitch, the team didn't perform, and key players in the second leg behaved like fools when you were all but through. End of.

Hemed, Conway, Danns, Miller, Jedinak, Goodwillie, Juhasz, Verhoek, ...cant agree a fee for Bedoya

In/
Wallace 1.5
Goian 0.5
Juan Sheet 0.5
Bartley loan
McKay 0.3 (work permit pending should be Fri out of Europa ties with Maribor)

total 2.8m

Out
Bougherra 1.7m
Adam money 0.8m

total 2.5m

spent 0.3m

Simply not good enough.....

Believable7 Unbelievable0

You know what when u see it in black and White it doesn't read well does it. All I can do is hope that with the time left we pull out a couple of good solid signings, However I really fear we will not be in Europe and any monies will be stopped

Let's have another look at these targets, see if Rangers really are a shambles, shall we?

Hemed: Fee agreed, knocked back Gers as he wanted to play against the likes of Barca week in week out. Not our fault.
Conway: We were linked, but no offer was made. No disgrace there.
Danns: We wouldn't break our wage structure for an average player. Sensible decision.
Miller: Didn't overpay on someone with no resell value. Good decision.
Jedinak: Don't know what happened, don't care tbh.
Goodwillie: I personally didn't want him, but tbh we didn't deal with that transfer well. Can't help the boy wanting a move to England though.
Juhasz: We met the asking price then they raised it? We stopped ourselves getting the piss took there.
Verohek: Didn't want leave Holland. Not our fault.
Bedoya: We've got him in four months time, why pay over the odds now?

Relax mate, mostly sensible decisions, and demonstrates stability for the long term, something thats been missing. 4iar, here we go

Agree0 Disagree0

There was an offer for conway he had a look around murray park pics to prove it he said no he was going to england

Agree0 Disagree0

If you know that to be true then I won't dispute it. But even with that in mind, have another look at that list: has our transfer dealings really been that terrible?

Agree0 Disagree0

Conway went to Wales ya person lol

Hard to swollow, here we go again Rangers chasing freebies, get a grip and get decent players signed up, we are becoming a laughing stock.

Come on Rangers get a grip.

think that we should buy andrey bikey of burnley as cover for injury problems and sell lafferty.

Believable0 Unbelievable6

I am lafferty's biggest hater tho right now we need him tho we need him for full season not when he decides he wants to play

T-Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

What you talkin about he only doesnt play if hes not picked or injured

Agree0 Disagree0

I think t-bear means gers need him to play well all season and not have off days when he does plays.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly mate sorry i didnt get that point across more easily for some fans

T-Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree about buying bikey have said it for a while now we need a cb like him he puts me in mind of big marv and loves a tackle but dont agree with selling lafferty. Only striker I would sell right now is beattie.

Just go back in and offer the £3.5m for Juhasz and get the deal done

Its clear we want him and he wants to come, so pay them what they want and get him in on time for the Maribor ties. Or it could be curtains in Europe for this season.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

LOOK where we are in the transfer window mid August ffs, we are signing NO-C@NT.......... Whyte is a LIAR and we will suffer as a consequence, Fact

McKay will not find out until Fri (re - his work permit) so misses both ties against Maribor...source stv

We seriously need to get our finger out and get someone in 24 hours
before kick off or this could be Malmo 2

Wigan Athletic and Rangers are keen on former West Ham United defender Lars Jacobsen.

Why bother, we cant afford him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is more like it,... someone we dont have to agree a fee for ...........

So no doubt wages will be the problem now..

Agree0 Disagree0

Wigan will be tho

Ed iv come up with a theory of a transfer policy that could be a possibility for Mr Whyte being the shrewd businessman that he is. If we were to invest a large amount of our transfer budget in our wage budget this would allow us to possibly up what we can offer. Just now rangers have a top end of 25k which is widely known amongst the fans im sure this could be flexible in the case of an exceptional signing but if we were to do this and it had the possibility of putting us in the market for 2 or 3 40k a week players surely this would be to our advantage as this summer has proved that you do not have to pay a penny for top players if you can offer them good terms. For example in the past rangers have paid 3million pounds for fairly average players that we have taken a risk on and then made a loss so if we invested this amount it may allow us to go after more lucrative bosman targets. Thats we can then go on to sell for 100% profit. Not only that but the market for free agents that are slightly out of our range are probably more exciting than the players available to us for a fee. Also surely if this theory was put into practice if players see other top pros going to a club that they see changing they surely would like to be a part of it too plus the bigger the contract the bigger the transfer fee for us in future just wondering what you think ed?
{Ed047's Note - in theory it's good. To summarise, don't buy players, use the transfer cash for higher wages to attract Bosmans. That's about right, yes? The problem is we'd be competing with other clubs such as EPL and even some Championship clubs. It seems that the incentive of medals and Euro football is no longer enough for many players so if Birmingham for example can offer £5k a week more than us, we'll lose out and even with that £40k/week offer, we'd still be struggling to compete.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Plus, when we have a ceiling of £25k pw, then raising it for a special circumstance can upset the other players

Agree0 Disagree0

If Whyte is a smart business man, which he is, he is not going to do that as his OPEX budget will go up. In business you need to keep this down. If you don't know what OPEX is then it is probably best that you stay clear of business deals.

Can some one please tell me what is going on within Glasgow Rangers.
If Jelavic gets crocked, that’s it all over we are royally f***d for sure,. As for our dealing in the transfer market, what a shambles, who is calling the shoots I thought that Smith was to be assisting the wee man Why are we drawing attention to ourselves by continually offering stupid poultry sums for players we know to be of a greater value, I don’t get it, are we setting out to be a laughing stock, look at our squad, it’s pathetic, as I said if Jelavic is out we are expected to put or trust in Lafferty, f***k me what’s going on, someone please quell my pain.
(We can always fall back on Davie Weir) an extremely worried bear.

These rumours of Tom Hately - Paul Hanlon - Murray Davidson would bring a tear to a glass eye....they ARE NOT good enough to pull on the light blue jersey. They are 2nd rate players for 2nd rate teams ... stop the embarassment glasgow rangers and step up to the game. Get the cash paid for Juhasz ... get an actual left footed left midfielder as this hardon for ortiz doesnt work clearly... bring in bedoya for the 500k and break whytes teabag wallet for a REAL forward to give big jelavis a hand as he wont last the season if hes bursting his gut every game because the team behind him cannot even touch the level he plays at. GET A GRIP RANGERS BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I agree 100% and am sure these rumours are not true. The only link Hatley has with RFC is his father and has nothing to do with his football talent or lack of it.

BBC Sport Scotland gossip:

Rangers have rejected a £400,000 offer from Bolton Wanderers for Scotland Under-21 winger Gregg Wylde. (the Herald)

Rangers defender Steven Whittaker has been handed a three-match ban by Uefa for his red card against Malmo and the Scottish champions will launch an appeal ahead of Thursday's Europa League qualifier against Maribor. (Daily Mail)

Rangers will step up their efforts to take Scotland defender Danny Wilson back on loan from Liverpool following injuries to Kyle Bartley, Lee McCulloch and David Weir and suspensions to Sasa Papac and Steven Whittaker ahead of their Europa League qualifier against Maribor. (the Sun)

Orebro have questioned Rangers' desire to sign Alejandro Bedoya, claiming that the Glasgow club have offered less than a previous £300,000 bid for the United States midfielder who has signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Scottish champions in January. (Daily Express)

Brisbane Roar midfielder Matt McKay may not complete his transfer to Rangers until after Australia's World Cup qualifiers in September because of delays to his work permit application. (Daily Express)

Anyone else getting the feeling we're f***ed this season if we have to go all year with this lack of depth to the squad? Given that we can only register one wildcard for the Maribor game who will we play at CB? Ross Perry looked like he could do a job at the weekend but is he even in the European squad or would he have to be our wildcard?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Orebro seem to have missed the point with bedoya, we can have him for free in 4 months time so why do we want to up our initial offer, we were doing them a favour if we offered 300k

Agree0 Disagree0

Because we need players, we obviousley rate him, and 400k should be f*** all, so pay the dosh and get him in

I don't agree with getting Wilson back on loan, surely with the way business is done we have yet to recieve the full fee and hence should try and resign him if he is deemed as so important by Ally. Failing that give youth a chance or ensure the signing of a permanent player. What benefit do RFC get from loans in the long term?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

15 Aug 2011 10:29:36
Rangers shuld give Ross perry his chance bringing back Wilson is a slap on the face for young players like perry coming up he looked decent against ICT, wot u fink ed , also is this metric thing a pipe dream or is it possible ? {Ed047's Note - I assume you mean Petric? Anything's possible in football! Lol. I think pipe dream sums it up

Believable1 Unbelievable0

give ross perry a run of 6 games and he will make the position his own c,mon ally take a chance on real talent instead of trying to get players who only want to come to us if they fail to get better offers elsehhere. bb

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I agree, perry looks decent....give him a game. I would have ness over big jig on most occasions, i think he offers more to the team. I think young jordan mccmillan should play more at rb as i think he's better than broadfoot from what i've seen. I would also pay wylde what he deserves as i think he adds something to the team we don't have, someone who is willing to take people on.
I agree that we badly need some new players but i think a lot of people including ally are maybe under-estimating our youngsters a bit

Hopefully we get Wilson on loan as he'd be a fantastic addition to the squad and we know what we're getting. personally I'd partner him with Goian and have that as our first choice pairing.

Really need to get a right winger though as I actually cant name any in our squad right now. Is frustrating that Mcoist doesn't appear to have even attempted to get Weiss on loan again. No harm in asking

Believable0 Unbelievable1

No right winger? Are you joking?

Ortiz, Naismith, Davis, Whitaker. It's a left winger we don't have.

Ortiz can play on left As can Lafferty

To be brutally honest I don't think us fans can give an honest opinion of what sort of team we have until a few wks after the transfer window is shut & new signings have been bleeded in. Yes we have missed out on a few 'potentially' good signings and in-turn I would have to say that has cost us a place in the lucrative stages in the champions league but I do believe rangers will make the required amount of signings we need & therefore it's just up2 ally & his team to do the rest Let's be honest rangers do not have the 'pulling power' they had 10 years ago I don't have to give any examples The sooner disgruntled fans realise that the better

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I agree mate. Signing for Rangers isn't the attraction it was once upon a time, Especially now with our neighbours in England paying stupid money for everybody and anybody. Most players think of their bank balance now before they think of personal achievement and they would rather have a few extra quid each week in the bank rather than winners medals in their pockets.
