well me for 1 is liking the thot of JG pullin on the jersey. if he shows any of the ability he showed in his goal v Rotherham . we may have a gem here fellow bears!

16 Aug 2016 06:26:11
People have probably seen big kontermans goal against the tims on youtube and thot he was the new koeman so just wait til JG gets up and plays b4 we think he's going to score goals like that everytime he gets the ball.

16 Aug 2016 07:59:12
Bluedie

Know exactly what you mean about Konterman however I don't think anyone who has played at Hampden has ever hit the ball sweeter than big Bertie.

16 Aug 2016 08:54:02
Tam Forsyth lol😂.

15 Aug 2016 21:00:24
Any news on season ticket sales?

What's the latest on Joe Garner?

Does the hat have anything else up his sleeve?

Can all the King sceptics get behind the board and team now so we can continue being the most successful team in the world?

15 Aug 2016 20:40:55
Recob can't see warbs dropping kiernan in all honesty mate.

15 Aug 2016 20:16:09
Just watched footage of the goals garner has scored, left foot and right foot and plenty of headed goals. Looks like he will scores plenty goals if given the service which you would expect him to get with us.

15 Aug 2016 20:39:37
Talk sport saying fee is £1.8m for Garner gets medical tomorrow.

15 Aug 2016 16:58:43
Preston manager says garner free to join rangers if he so wishes.

15 Aug 2016 18:40:55
Saw Garner's photo and thought the editor had mixed it up with Joe Swash's. They could be twins! They tell me Billy Mitchell's trying out for CH position next week.

15 Aug 2016 21:29:30
I'll get ma coat!

15 Aug 2016 16:29:09
People need to get a grip with this Sendderos carryon, who are we just now due to our financial position to pass up a player with his experience, if he can prove his fitness and wages are not astronomical then a would take him in a second. He will improve our defence and is a ball winner in the air. also Wilson would benefit massively. I think it may turn out to be a wise move. also the experience in the dressing room for the big games is vital and he would bring plenty of experience with him. fingers crr.

15 Aug 2016 16:46:59
M3LVO - don't forget this site if full of "experts" in football management, and I include myself too by the way (sarcasm! ), but you are so right, If Senderos was good enough per his CV and played international for the Swiss, of course we would be foolish to pass him up, I would take him in a heartbeat, and I hope Warbs agrees with us on this.
Its amazing the number of comments on here every time a name is mentioned, "oh shit, no he is rubbish, or would touch him too slow, too old too small" too much bullshit me thinks. You only have to put up a simple opinion here and you get jumped on from a great height. I think your post is spot on mate.

15 Aug 2016 16:48:26
I agree, I'd take Senderos any day of the week. Him and Wilson could make a good solid pairing with Rossiter in front. If we get him and the boy from Preston in I think we'll be right up there.

15 Aug 2016 17:27:07
Seems Rangers Rumours is actually just a front for the secret society of statisticians and research analysts.

Senderos and Garner? Yes please.

15 Aug 2016 17:28:50
The villa fans I know are laughing at the thought of us signing senderos saying his pants. I guess that was against EPL strikers. He could do us a good turn if he has an ounce of pace and can head the ball. Better than what we have by far inc Hill.

15 Aug 2016 17:50:24
I'm not sure the Villa fans are in a position to laugh at anyone at the moment.

15 Aug 2016 18:14:03
Biffo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.

15 Aug 2016 18:28:11
Took the words right out my mouth Biffo.

15 Aug 2016 21:49:49
Wee Bill, couldn't have out that better myself. We have some moaners on here.

15 Aug 2016 20:02:01
Senderos is a mistake hasn't managed more than 21 games in a season since 2001. Insane gamble unless its pay per play contract.

15 Aug 2016 16:17:33
Simon Grayson saying Joe Garner is free to join Rangers. Don't know if that means a bid has been accepted or if he is just being fair to the player due to Rangers being a bigger club.
One to watch!

Source: BBC Sport.

15 Aug 2016 16:31:54
If you read on it says they have not accepted or declined the bid but it is up to the player. I think they way Simon Grayson is acting regarding this transfer is top class and managers like Alan Stubbs should take note.

15 Aug 2016 17:52:01
It's strange that he says the bid hasn't been accepted or declined as surely they know what they want and Rangers have either met the valuation or haven't. Think he would be a good signing for us and hopefully brings us a different dimension.

15 Aug 2016 18:15:45
My point being Benny that Simon Grayson will know if a bid has been accepted or declined. Doesn't mean he's gona leak it to the press!
I agree about the way he is handling it though. Seems like a decent guy.

15 Aug 2016 16:07:45
Well it now looks like we have put a bid in for joe garner, i'm quite interested to see how much we have bid.

15 Aug 2016 16:29:51
Wasn't sure about Joe Garner but just watched his goal video and was very impressed, looks a player.

15 Aug 2016 15:34:06
Really excited about this joe garner signing if it happens, and to be honest who was martyn waghorn before he signed for us warbs and weir will get the best out him.

15 Aug 2016 15:54:43
Warburton certainly has an eye for a bargain, he's worked wonders without spending a fortune.

15 Aug 2016 16:04:03
I think he is exactly the type of player we are missing up top.

15 Aug 2016 16:55:16
I'm sure when the dust settles and the transfer window closes we'll see that MW and FMcP have done a remarkable job over the summer.
I love the way we're getting in players of real quality without bursting the bank. I will be first to admit that we've been shaky so far his season but you add Senderos, Garner, Crooks, Windass and hopefully a match fit Kranjcar, Holt and Wagghorn into the mix and we will be blowing teams away soon enough. I think by the time the Old Firm game comes we will be destroying teams with goals to match our possession. We need one big scoring game against a SPFL team and the floodgates will open.

15 Aug 2016 15:02:09
How arogant is Kenny Shiels!

Listened to a podcast of him saying Rangers under warburton are predictable well given how much Paul Hartley has been applauded for well organised his team are he hasn't managed to find an answer over 2 games against us. Granted we do just have a plan A but I would never say the players movement is predictable, I think there were good signs against Dundee and we will only get better.

Given how many people in the media are saying we are going to struggle this would surely be the most satisfying league win if we can pull it off.

15 Aug 2016 15:13:33
Sounds like sour grapes to me after his dumpling of a boy got released.

15 Aug 2016 15:30:15
Might only be a small step up in terms of quality but there's a reason yer man is managing in the league of Ireland and not the SPL!

15 Aug 2016 15:35:21
The thing is our plan A works. The only time it doesn't work is when 2 or 3 players don't turn up. There is no Plan B for players not turning up on the day.

15 Aug 2016 16:04:33
Listen Rangers might struggle this year, but then again we might not, it's a long season, but I do think we are too predictable also, I would play 4 2 3 1,but the gaffer knows a helleva lot more than I do
This would be my line up.

Fod
Tavanier. New c/ b. Wilson. Wallace
Rossiter. Crooks
McKay. Barton. Windass
Miller

Subs. Kranjcar, waghorn, dodoo, hill, halliday, holt, kiernan, gilks
There or there abouts, but obviously when everyone is fully fit the gaffer will have a headache, but it's a good headache to have.

15 Aug 2016 16:57:35
What's it even got to do with Shields anyway was my thoughts. He also said Forrester wasn't a player when we signed him just before the wee man started tearing teams apart and keeping his boy out the team. Definitely sour grapes.

15 Aug 2016 17:33:06
Father is a wind up merchant who likes to hear is own voice. The son, well look at his CV: Rangers 2012-2016. Our toughest 4 years. Lot of respect for Deano, he's a good lad. I feel crappy that he still hasn't found a club. Could do a job for a few teams. Deserves better.

15 Aug 2016 17:56:46
I don't see how he can say Warburton has been found out after only 2 games in the Premiership. It's obvious he isn't annoyed about his son being released but unfortunately he didn't do enough to earn a new contract and think Warburton gave him enough chances. Sorry it didn't work out for Dean and hope he gets a club soon.

15 Aug 2016 18:30:18
Theres a reason he's not got a team💩.

15 Aug 2016 22:17:51
how can u call yourself a rangers fan Bluedie
when u can say that about a player who did his best for us at our toughest time
ok he didn't warrant a new contract but he did his best and u could see it when he played.

15 Aug 2016 22:38:16
Oh come on daddyyo have u never said a rangers players mince. he couldn't get a game in the worst gers team in history because he wasnt good enuf end of.

16 Aug 2016 10:30:05
Well I thought deano was decent. Gave 100%, which is the least I expect from a Rangers player. That cannot be said for a lot of his teammates over the years. Deano helped us get back to where we belong. I for one will never forget it.

15 Aug 2016 14:46:41

15 Aug 2016 15:15:47
They've took abt 20yr off my life ecxpectancy so they've not changed it for the better i'm afraid lol.

15 Aug 2016 14:32:22
Preston manager wants garner situation sorted by end of today 1 way or another he says, hopefully this deal goes through quickly, also if senderos is the only CB we are looking at does everyone else agree it will be next week before anything is decided, prob a full week training for warbs to decide if he merits a deal.

15 Aug 2016 14:21:06
Just me who is seriously not wanting senderos at our club, was hoping to sign in a player like Mariappa or even Mariappa himself would only be a few more 000's a week and we could secure him he's a lot younger and looks like a better player overall, hope senderos doesn't sign.

15 Aug 2016 14:52:41
Mariappa is now in talks with hull and they will be able to offer far more than what we can. Agreed I'd like to sign him but it's not going to happen now. Money over trophies and maybe European football. Good luck to the lad. Let's look at guys who want to come here now.

15 Aug 2016 13:37:02
Non transfer news but a point worth raising. Did anyone watching the Euros notice how quickly the ball was put back into play each time it went out for a throw in, corner or goal kick? I noticed most visiting teams last season slowed the game down, disrupted our momentum and wasted time on these and it was amplified last week by Hamilton. Their goalkeeper would saunter over to the corner flag, walk the ball back for a goalkick, placement, looking around and 90 seconds are gone. Sounds petty I know but it's our home ground and we should have more and better trained ball boys or girls batting for us and getting that damn ball back into play quicker. An easy fix.

15 Aug 2016 15:16:17
I think it was under McLeish, last game of season against Dunfermline at Ibrox when we had to win by a bigger margin than Celtic to win the league. He got the full under 19s squad as extra ball boys for that game.
I think it's a great idea, maybe using the kids to get the ball back in play quicker, especially now we play fast football. Teams will tire and switch off at set pieces etc.
Would also give the kids experience of a full Ibrox and hopefully whet their appetite for hopefully playing for the Gers in the future.

15 Aug 2016 15:32:59
KFRASER I am totally with you on this point with the ball boys and girls. It is so annoying. We are paying our money to see a game and there is so much wasted time. I have seen Kenny Miller having to run off the pitch collecting the ball so that opposition teams can get on with bye kicks etc. I was going to write in, it's ridiculous. I would have loved a chance to be a ball boy when I was a kid and it will be the same now. If the kids are not allowed to cross the advertising boards then they should be shifted so that they can. It's terrible and could cost out team. Rant over😲.

15 Aug 2016 17:38:48
Agreed. The boys/ girls don't even bother to watch the game to see which part of the park the ball is currently in. They're not interested. They just march up and down like wee zombies, chocking to snapchat somebody.

15 Aug 2016 13:06:10
Phillipe Senderos training with Rangers today. No other information so open to speculation this one.

15 Aug 2016 13:56:05
I think its not a bad idea guy would be handy to have about if cheap enough.

15 Aug 2016 14:53:59
Can he be any worse than what we have? Don't mean disrespect to Wilson n Keirnan but something has to be done. Why do we lose so many goals at set pieces? We have big guys who should rob able to header the ball away and protect our goal.

15 Aug 2016 13:01:41
On Saturday Barton pulled rank on Tav and took a freekick from a goalscoring position just outside box. Did same in previous game. On both occasions his attempts were poor. Someone should have word with him and get Tav back on freekick duty.

15 Aug 2016 13:24:52
This is exactly what I mentioned a few weeks ago and think it could be a problem going forward. I like Barton but he needs to realise he's not a free kick taker.

15 Aug 2016 14:13:15
tavernier misses more than he scores, kranjcar will probably hit then most.

15 Aug 2016 14:51:35
scored a fair few spectacular and vital ones last season. if it ain't broke….

15 Aug 2016 12:52:32
Sendeross reportedly training with rangers in a bid for a deal. Not bad a bad option for us in my opinion. Would strengthen the back quite a bit.

15 Aug 2016 10:22:47
I know there is a lot of talk about signing joe garner but I'm interested to hear if any another bears think Liam Boyce would be a good signing? Hat trick at the weekend, proven at spl level with 31 goals in 74 apps and am sure he's in the last year of his contract, thoughts?

15 Aug 2016 12:24:02
said it earlier he is a goalscorer with a great touch.

15 Aug 2016 14:21:03
The thing is would he sign for us I work with a guy who went to school with him and when I asked the question what sort of a guy is Boyce with him being born and bread on the falls road in belfast would he be the type of player to let old religious/ political differences or how he might be received in him home part of belfast get in the way or would he do the best for his career my workmate told me he thinks Boyce wouldn't have a problem signing but that he might not settle as he was over in Germany when he was younger and didn't settle there either but I think he would be a great signing there would be bags of goals in him with better service.

15 Aug 2016 10:06:45
Harry Souter CD at Dundee United looks outstanding prospect. Brother of Souter of Hearts who we should have signed last season and missed out. Stoke rumoured to be sniffing around Harry, would be a great investment for us.

15 Aug 2016 10:22:28
I think Harry looks even better than his brother, I'm still baffled that we didn't go for John soutar especially when u look at our current cb's.

15 Aug 2016 11:41:36
I was thinking the same tbh. We would get priced out of a move for Harry sadly. And worst of all it would mean giving Dundee UTD money. I'd rather sh*t on my hands a clap.

15 Aug 2016 10:00:56
Could it be with a name like Garner he is destined to become a Ranger?

15 Aug 2016 02:03:42
So if we do get a centre half in before the window shuts who drops out? Wilson or Kiernan?

IMO it's Kiernan. Wilson didn't turn into a bad player overnight - He strolled it at with Osturk next to him at Hearts and I think that says more about Kiernan than Wilson. A centre half is only as good as the man next to him, as it is in central midfield. Look at his breakthrough with us under Smith, he had Davie Weir partnering him and he looked good enough for Liverpool to shell out £2m after a nominal amount of first team appearances under his belt. Ideally I'd love to sign Osturk as I think that would solve a lot of issues at centre half but a commanding centre half with a bit of pace next to Wilson and I see a different player this season, especially with Rossiter and/ or Barton sitting in front.

15 Aug 2016 08:39:45
Both of them lol.

15 Aug 2016 09:12:48
Wilson strolled it in a hearts side that strolled it. His defense partner is good. Wilson less so. However it has nothing to do with his ability. it's his pace that let's him down.

15 Aug 2016 11:18:17
Senderos training at ibrox looking for a deal what you think bears good pedigree.

15 Aug 2016 11:45:04
Good pedigree at failure.

15 Aug 2016 12:17:04
I don't think playing for arsenal, Everton Milan and valencia plus 3 world cups can be classed as a failure he would stroll it in the spl, also with regards to your comments about garner 4 goals in 41 doesn't tell the full story imo preston played a defensive style last season and he never had much service, if you look at his record the previous 2 seasons he was banging them in at a standard very similar to our top league, instead of slating everything we are trying to do why not just be happy we are moving in the right direction playing good football and after 4 years of rubbish we are back were we belong.

15 Aug 2016 12:35:51
Everyone we are rumoured to be looking at is a flop to you Mr. Nice!

Who would you rather have for the same budget?

14 Aug 2016 22:25:22
Just a wee mention to the performance of jordan rossiter against dundee yesterday, he was different class and man of the match by a distance, watched this young midfielder play for england under 21's in the euros last month and played terrifically as captain in that tournament, what a signing this young midfielder is, scott brown won't be able to handle rossiter's combative style midfield play in the old firm games, he'll be all over broony the loony like a wasp, he'll be too slick for broony trust me, arguably our best signing in many a year, we all need to enjoy him while he's here because he'll play at the highest level in the best of leagues, he's that good, very talented midfielder and we've done amazing to get him.

15 Aug 2016 07:42:06
Yeah reckon he will be with us for 1-2 years then back to the EPL. Unlucky with injuries not to progress at Liverpool but has the makings of a very good player. Let's hope when he does leave he leaves with a league winners medal.
