Who thinks Tony Pulis would be a good option?
Personally if we're looking at building our great club again then I don't think there is a better option.
Look at what he has done to clubs he has been at left them all in a great shape. I feel he is a manager that deserves to be a manager of a massive club like The Mighty Gers.

16 Dec 2017 08:55:07
Pulis as manager and Murty as coach.

16 Dec 2017 13:12:33
Already been in contact with Pulis. Wanted 5m for the job. No go.

16 Dec 2017 14:55:47
thats on par with pochettino at spurs so if that's true then he will be on the dole queue a while!

15 Dec 2017 21:59:38
Hi everyone there's a video online of an amazing young Rangers fan called Findlay Sangster and his wonderful family. Well done B.A. for giving him a Christmas he'll never forget. Rangers are a special club and he is a very special young man. Merry Christmas Findlay . c'mon us.

15 Dec 2017 23:43:09
What an amazing video Robbie, thanks for posting it, and what a great gesture by British Airways. Would bring a tear to a glass eye.

16 Dec 2017 12:15:36
That’s amazing. What a top little lad and his family. Much love this Xmas

15 Dec 2017 21:33:49
DOF Mark Allen bringing in young players which have fitting attributes that can slot right in to the current playing squad can only be a good thing. In recent seasons the squad has been threadbare. A couple of injuries has crippled any chance of serious progression. Having players of the same quality in reserve is just as important as having a strong starting 11. IMO the club should strive to have a 23 man squad that management and fans alike can have full confidence that they will make a positive impact to a top level fixture. Only then can we be serious about winning anything. It's fair to say some in our reserve are not as ready as they should be and are in no way committed or able enough to wear our crest. Players like McCrorie, Barjonas, Bates and Hardie will strengthen the playing squad but there needs to be a constant conveyer belt of young talent to match the level of consistency required to set the standard going forward.

Anyone got contact info for 1872 clothing? As ordered 22nd November still nothing. No reply to emails

15 Dec 2017 21:11:56
Inverness just checked HMRC companies house website and 1872 clothing is not registered. Also checked their website and no postal address listed. Sounds very dodgy to me and their listed contact telephone number is 123456789. Take head fellow bears do not order from this website or you'll lose your hard earned dosh. Any reputable company who gave all their details listed. Be warned!

15 Dec 2017 21:52:12
if you paid by card inverbear worth speaking to your bank about a charge back. disgraceful if folk are up to shenanigans like that at this time of year

15 Dec 2017 23:02:47
Paid by PayPal so hopefully

16 Dec 2017 13:00:04
Con men about everywhere i never buy online unless there an extremely well known company also check if there's a green tag on your search bar should say SAFE means it's a registered business

16 Dec 2017 13:05:06
Ordered from them twice before in past took a while to receive goods but they did come think it took over 4 weeks

15 Dec 2017 17:20:37
Given that Dorrans is out for three months, would anyone bring back Halliday? Not saying play him ahead of Barjo but just to increase competition.

15 Dec 2017 18:13:04
Yes. I’d bring back Halliday and o’halloran until the summer unless we get a decent offer for them.

15 Dec 2017 19:00:59
so you don't rate morelos, cardoso or candeias but youd have halliday and MOH back? i'm sure you are on the wind up now

15 Dec 2017 19:13:10
I think we need them back just for numbers sake because we’re thin on the ground at the moment but for going forward and trying to be competitive again then i don't think they’re the answer long term

15 Dec 2017 19:18:21
No no no no noooooooo. Shut up about Halliday. He is rank rotten! A fan at best. I don’t care if he got a tanoid and sang with the fans, he’s garbage. Much rather Barjonas or another youngster got games before him coming back

15 Dec 2017 19:48:14
Totally agree about Halliday, he's on the bench for some weird Azerbaijan team. Don't want Forrester back, he's at his level now. Don't want MOH back because he never looked like he was trying for us and I don't think he could wait to leave us.
In a perfect world we would've kept Garner and McKay, we r crying out for those 2 types of players just now and the money we let them go for is criminal.
The guys we loaned out are not the answer, play young guys or recruit new players but we shouldn't even consider them

15 Dec 2017 20:24:45
do people not remember how rubbish we were when they were in the team

16 Dec 2017 03:11:29
I definitely would, i know a lot of others on here would disagree

16 Dec 2017 03:15:33
Could you imagine halliday and pena in the same midfield🙈. I'm probably being generous here but I have a nagging feeling that ohal with morelos and windass behind them might just be a shout. Might just be the festive cheer talking.

16 Dec 2017 13:01:02
Is that right snell.

The question is about Andy Halliday. We are way short of players and unless someone sticks their hand in their pocket no money. So bring him back and add to a squad that is down to the bare bones.

I hope Morelos scores a barrowload between now and the end of the season. However I’ve not been impressed. He is no jelavic or Prso is he?

Also not the only one to say Candias has fallen away. Think he looked a great wee player but has been very poor recently and looks fed up since Pedro left.

My point on cardoso is he is now no 5 in our list of centre half’s. He won’t play much under Murty by the look of things. I imagine he is on decent wages, along with Rossiter and Krancjar who also are on good wages and don’t play. We need to try and move some players on as well.

17 Dec 2017 14:00:43
MOH will be back in january anyway cause that's when his loan expires

15 Dec 2017 14:03:15
Pena, herrera, candeias; how much for the 3 as a package deal do you think we would sell to Pedro for. we supposedly paid nearly 5 million for the 3 . I would take 3 to get rid.

15 Dec 2017 15:29:02
Candeias is top assits in leauge so
We should get at least what we paif for him if not more i would sell and replace him with naismith who will add more goals

15 Dec 2017 16:29:18
Surely we'll give candeias till the end of the season. There's a half decent player there. Should we not continue to give the young players a chance? Can't imagine anyone will be in a rush to sign the Mexicans

15 Dec 2017 23:43:37
Well Pena is 27 and supposedly midfielders peak years are between 27 and 32, it’s well documented that he lost his way the last few years in South America so perhaps if he gets this year under his belt and begins to feel welcome and adapts to the culture we could certainly see his best football at Ibrox. He definitely has the potential, seems to get into great positions just lacking that cutting edge. Can tell he gets on well with the players. I can see him being a big player next season.

Sadly not seen enough of Herrera but the games I have seen him in he looks strong against the spl defenders he has faced and can hold the ball up and win free kicks as it seems they need to pull him down unfairly to win the ball wether played high or into feet. Could have a player there too. The fact that Kinky Miller for some reason is undroppable Herrera can’t get a run in the team so can’t settle and play his game. Always tossed in late on either when we need to hold onto a score line or we’re losing and hoping he will be able to change the game. Never be that type of player.

Candeias has been fantastic so far. He has been at big clubs in Europe and spent most of his career on loan at some half decent clubs in Spain, France, Germany and Turkey. He’s fit in straight away and always brave in the way he plays, direct and always looking to get in behind oppositions defence. His assists so far show that his football is effective. I’m positive Candeias has a lot to offer this team and also has a point to prove to his former parent clubs.

I believe these players were good signings and will prove that if they are either given next season/ time to adapt or given a chance to show what they can do with a run in the first team.

They all have a point to prove and being able to play in Europe with Rangers for the next few and probably last years of their careers will give them all their last chance show what they have been capable of all along. That alone is motivation enough for them to give their all for this club. The club that has given them one last chance to reach the top of their game and get recognition in the sport they have given their best years to.

Rangers is a family and similar players have came here before having had a hard time in the game looking to make their careers just like these guys and have became legends.

Big rant. I’m feeling the love.

16 Dec 2017 03:16:10
I'd take "quitsy's" on any cash owed for pena and herrera if their old clubs would take them back. Candieas has more about him and we could get more out of him. I'd give him until the end of the season.

16 Dec 2017 13:08:06
Wouldn't get rid of Candieas, look at his stats for the season, you're on the tonic if you'd sell him right now, not as if Dalcio or Nemane are hitting the same number's as Dani

15 Dec 2017 12:47:19
£1.3 mil for Jamie murphy no thanks.

15 Dec 2017 14:07:08
Why Not?

15 Dec 2017 22:42:54
What's he done over the last year That makes us want him a don't get it. we had the chance to get him ages ago at Motherwell. he's no the answer.

15 Dec 2017 12:21:09
Realistic transfer targets for January bears you would like to see?

Not that it counts for much but watching English league highlights each week always impressed with erhun oztumer of Walsall and Marcus Maddison (a think) of Peterborough no idea how much they would cost! Previous players back Weiss, aluko, Naismith (sorry bears ) fleck a think would improve us!

Aiming higher than them and slightly unrealistic possibly loans - Joel ward (Palace) , Jonathan leko (West Brom ) , Ollie mcburnie ( Swansea) all a think are good quality and possibly surplus .

Football manager season in full swing 😂😂😂.

15 Dec 2017 12:15:45
Just watched an interview with Tony Pullis - he's well aware of the Rangers situation and having listened to him I'd say he would be a good option for manager. Experienced and a football man. I think he'd get the best out of the team and be well placed to improve with some quality additions. Thoughts?

15 Dec 2017 15:47:25
I'm with you GMac.
His team's don't exactly play sexy football but I think his style could be a really good fit for the Scottish game.
However he'd probably only entertain coming here if job offers were thin on the ground for him.

15 Dec 2017 16:53:18
i think we would be a good appointment for us, reading between the lines though he is waiting til new year and i reckon that's him hoping the swansea job comes up

16 Dec 2017 03:10:38
Would be a fantastic appointment. Top class manager with proven track record in EPL.

16 Dec 2017 03:18:21
His teams are well organised and hard to beat, I think he would be a great fit for the type of football in our game. I don't think he would come. Wage wise and transfer budget wise I think would be an issue. Who knows tho.

15 Dec 2017 10:28:17
Any idea when Dorrans will be back, and also Wallace and Rossiter? Also, when does Jack's ban end? Thanks Bears.

15 Dec 2017 11:00:24
Been posted last few days about dorrans being out for 3 month. Wallace back in training, no sure about rossiter. And jack got a 3 match ban, so I’m sure you can work that out yourself if you follow the club.

15 Dec 2017 11:02:53
out for 3 months

15 Dec 2017 11:10:56
Jack can play v st johnstone then misses next game.

15 Dec 2017 11:18:23
Some nice sarcastic Christmas cheer from you Swany9. A bit unnecessary, I was only asking!

15 Dec 2017 11:44:39
Haha doiger. Try reading the page before asking questions

15 Dec 2017 13:42:33
Aye I'm sure Jack is back for St J and then misses the Mothetwell match

15 Dec 2017 13:48:13
Sorry misses Killie match!

15 Dec 2017 14:01:29
Out of interest, how is it that Jack can play tomorrow and complete his ban against Kilmarnock?

15 Dec 2017 14:24:04
Can somebody explain to me why, if Jack is serving a three match ban that it is not three consecutive matches?

15 Dec 2017 15:37:42
i was wondering too and best i can come up with is maybe st johnstone is a rearranged game and some weird rule means the ban doesn't count? that's a guess though

15 Dec 2017 16:35:00
Ask Swany9 he knows everything

15 Dec 2017 16:38:47
Think it's because he got 2 game ban for sending off a nd he got 1 game ban added on because of his disciplinary record. So he can play after 2 games and serve his extra game after that.

15 Dec 2017 17:05:02
He got two games for red card and 1 game for failing to overturn it in appeal. And no need to be smart doiger I was only pointing out if you followed rangers you should at least know somethings about us.

15 Dec 2017 18:59:08
Like what Swany9? I know lots about our great club but you can't pick up on every single piece of information, especially when you've other things going on in your life like work, family and so forth. There are nicer ways to say things. This is why I like the Banter page because living around 500 miles from where our great club is based I don't always hear all the news straightaway. I'll forgive you as it is Christmas!

15 Dec 2017 19:50:02
Thanks doiger. 👍🏻
