There's one thing we'll all agree on here the race for the english premiership league title is very close and intriguing, in fact its almost too close to call in what is going to be a very exciting finish to the english premiership season, we've all got our favourites between leicester city, spurs, arsenal and man city and who we want to win the league, I put it to my fellow bears, who do you think will win the english premiership and who do you want to win the english premiership?

For me personally although I have family who are big tottenham fans I would love to see leicester city win it, in saying that I now strongly fancy spurs to go on and win the english premiership title, my top 4 finishing order would be:

1. Tottenham hotspur
2. Arsenal
3. Leicester city
4. Man city

what's your finishing order fellow bears and why?

16 Feb 2016 00:44:13
I would like to see Arsenal do it, but wouldn't mind if Leicester do it either.

16 Feb 2016 00:06:32
Would love too see leicester win it, would really shake up the epl but in reality i think arsenal will take it, i know arsenal have a habit of bottling it but i think leicesters inexperience will show and i just can't see spurs keeping it together or man city clawing it back. Predicted finish 1. Arsenal 2. Leicester 3. Spurs 4. Man city.

16 Feb 2016 06:22:18
I don't care for english football couldn't care less. i'm scottish. maybe that's what's wrong with our own country. too many people intrested in english football.

16 Feb 2016 08:26:54
davie1980 I'd prefer to watch man city v spurs than ict v Aberdeen any day! And so would most of the population of the UK. As for your question Warburton I think spurs will win it but wouldn't mind Leicester. Anyone but arsenal.

16 Feb 2016 08:33:33
Hooly78 imo that is what is really wrong with Scottish football. If the Scottish tv audience would rather watch games from elsewhere albeit better on the eyes, then why would broadcasters and sponsors give our teams better deals.

16 Feb 2016 10:09:01
Hooly78,if you don't mind me asking why do you not like the arsenal mate? I also take it you much prefer spurs over arsenal? I personally prefer spurs to arsenal.

16 Feb 2016 10:36:56
Been saying to my mates for months spurs will win it, they have the best defence imo (before vertonghen injury) the best striker (aguero isn't fit) .

16 Feb 2016 11:32:33
Dont care who wins it, but would be a fairytale ending if Leicester won it!

16 Feb 2016 07:18:46
The English product is better to watch simple, I will say Spurs as warbs is a big spurs fan.

16 Feb 2016 12:27:27
Any neutral would want Leicester City to win it. However, I think they might just run out of steam, especially if they pick up injuries and suspensions. My top 4 prediction is:
1 Arsenal 2 Man City 3 Leicester City 4 Man Utd. I think Tottenham are punching above their weight and they aren't as good as their league position suggests. In Scotland, Gers will go up as champions and I think Hibs will beat Motherwell in the play-offs. Dundee Utd are doomed I think.

16 Feb 2016 14:00:59
Anyone else think that Leicester have the best mascot in the premiership. The Fox is up there with broxi.

15 Feb 2016 21:43:45
Don't normally watch top flight games but thought I'd make an exception tonight. Both the sheep and Thistle are very poor imo. Is this Aberdeen team really better than Rangers? Really? Sorry don't see it. I would be sick if they were my team. Shocking! Which brings me to Willie Collum's display. It's not often that I agree with big Sutton but have to say it is the most inept display from an official I've ever seen. And this is supposed to be our top referee. I know this result will more or less guarantee a Celtic title and a fifth in a row but I'm not too despondent to see the sheep capitulating. I've disliked this mob for many years going way past the Durrant incident and just love to see them suffering, even though it hands the initiative to the other mob. Just watched Collum duck out of another penalty decision for the sheep. Can't help wondering how the eastenders would have reacted to Collum's display?

15 Feb 2016 22:31:05
I don't know if they are better than Rangers but given that they are 2nd in top flight and we have played and failed to beat two teams in the top flight that are not as good as them - based on points gained - I think we have to reluctantly admit that they are. Currently.

Big test for us tomorrow. Kilmarnock away, on the back of a victory, in the cup and them with a new manager.

If we win 7-0, I'd accept we are ready for promotion.

16 Feb 2016 00:26:41
When are some people going to realise, This Rangers side would NOT cope in the top league as it stands, if you think they could then you have never played, and don't understand football, we would be kicked aside by stronger players who are experienced in the top league, the way we play we would be torn apart, we require serious investment and, I'm sorry to say MW to tweak his tactics, more than a little, particularly the endless corner kick routine, and we need good defenders who understand how not to lose, , please don't gush of our great manager, warbs15
Tommy.

16 Feb 2016 01:09:58
Seeker I read somewhere you rambling on about Rangers being better we Aberdeen? Are u serious?
So we would beat sellik then and hearts and Utd and county, and be on top of the prem? because if we are better than then then we would be way ahead in the prem, but instead were 5 points I front in a lower division, having been beat in the league cup at home by saints, and cudnt beat a very poor killie team at ibrox? Are you getting were I coming from / you asked that any argument against your statements better be good. ? Well not really mate, they just need to be honest and sensible, unlike yours
Tommy.

16 Feb 2016 06:26:36
Tomtom gota agree bud. were far too lightweight. adam rooney against our defenders. only 1 outcome. this def mid is a must to control games. mario gomes from hearts out on loan this year. would be good for us i'd imagine. i can't see us playing 433 in spfl either. defo need some cover for positions. i mean qaulity cover but until warbs does wrong we trust in warbs.

16 Feb 2016 08:27:07
Ok guys just saying I didn't see anything to worry about, that's all. And if you analyse their squad where have their players come from and how many of them would you put in our team? Goalie? RB? LB? Would you take out Holt Halliday McKay Waggy O'Hal King to make way for any of theirs? Aaaaagg! Fed up trying to be positive on here! And as for our players getting brushed off the ball, was it? Rob Kiernan? Dom Ball? Lee Wallace? Waggy? Really? And what about Hibs impressive pumping of top flight teams on the way to a final? And are Hibs better than us? Look at the table!

16 Feb 2016 09:18:53
And Tommy, I think it would surprise you the level I played at. Let's just say I have some experience at almost 60. And I refuse to get personal on this. I am certainly not an idiot and don't think you are either.

16 Feb 2016 17:41:15
I would never call an experienced and genuine man an idiot, particularly a Rangers fan, we are at cross swords here mate, I understand the names you put forward, are big boys, but for everyone thee is a smaller lightweight one, anyway, I also played fir many years, at one time alongside such names as McDowell, Fitzpatrick, and a decent bankies team, including chico the nutter? , I am absolutely Rangers daft, but Om long enif in the tooth yo ser that, whole warbs has done a great job and we are a decent passing team, trying to play the right way, we cudnt compete against Aberdeen, at the moment, we wudnt be were they are now would we? Having said that we could be soon, but the problem is celtic will spend money to stay ahead of Rangers for the foreseeable future, unless we get massive investment, I just wonder if Warbs is the man to take us forward with his philosophy in Scotland? I hope so, no eay are you an idiot pal, they are all take that fans
Tommy.

15 Feb 2016 18:37:29
Nice to see barrie mckay has extended his contract till 2018.

15 Feb 2016 19:44:52
Wonder why it is only until 2018 tho, why not longer like Halliday and Holt?

15 Feb 2016 21:28:31
Here is one peice of advice I can give to MW, get on to Kane hemmings, and offer him the chance to come back to Rangers next season, and while he, s at it try and get shay Logan to sign too, ally knew hemmings was good, I think he was jealous
Tommy.

15 Feb 2016 21:51:35
I think there are better players to be had than Hemmings and especially Logan tbh Tommy. I don't think they are as good as we have at the moment. And as for this great white hope Ash Taylor - if Danny Wilson had put in a similar 90 minutes for us there would be people on here suggesting he never again pull on the blue jersey. Aberdeen do not have a better squad than us! Let's hear the arguments against. They better be good!

15 Feb 2016 22:01:35
Logan would only be cover for Tavernier and currently first choice RB at Aberdeen.
Hemmings has been scoring for Dundee but Warbs along with DW and McParland will have transfer targets.

15 Feb 2016 22:32:54
Tomtom this is the Rangers banter page - are you trying to get Take That back together again? Hemming's and Logan - it will be Robbie Williams that your after next? A visit to Spectators should be your starting point. - These guys although maybe holding their own at there present clubs are not the future of Glasgow Rangers - I would hope that the new scouting system would bring in players for next season in the SPL of a higher quality - You have given your opinion - of which we are all entitled to one - I'm sure a centre forward will arrive in due course -.

16 Feb 2016 00:41:24
Afcw, I wonder what that could stand fir, if your post made any sense at all I would listen, what the hell are you on about? Take that?
What do Kane Hemmings and Shay Logan have to do with Take That? what are you on mate?
I don't think I've ever read such nonsense, I've followed Rangers fir over 45yrs, I've seen the best, and the worst, do you actually believe we are in a position to buy the top strikers or defenders in Europe? how do you know Hemmings won't end up in England earning a fortune? You know nothing mate, as u just proved, both those players ate playing, successfully ay a higher level than zrangers, and your wisdom tell us they are not hood enuf, and use Take That. As an example, please tell us how you came to that formula, how would signing hemming's and Logan be akim to reforming take that? Bizarre, Ed please could u ask the guy what he, s on about?

16 Feb 2016 08:15:52
What are you on tomtom? I'm not named, after a sat nav? I want the best for Rangers and Hemming's is not a future centre forward for Rangers, - with promotion to the SPL I would hope that some form of investment would follow and that we could, target a more higher profile of player and in particular an experienced centre forward - this is a, banter page and we are all allowed on own opinions - I would like to think that next season we can entice better players than the standard of Hemming's - no need to quote the 45 yr thing - I dint know what that has to do with Hemming's and Logan -.

16 Feb 2016 09:24:32
Well said that man. We are in a great position, still in the SC, in a final and 8 points ahead in the league. And there will be investment in the team in the summer that will see an already capable squad take on the top flight. Cue the negativity!

15 Feb 2016 18:27:50
Good see wee Barry McKay signing a contract extension looking good for the long term ok the gers.

15 Feb 2016 14:42:27
I can't believe Davie Weir could agree with MW about corners. He used to be up for ever corner when he was playing, BECAUSE of the danger to the opposition. This short corner business has been proved beyond reasonable doubt to be a failed tactic for us, and we should be sticking every one of them into the opposition box. Look back to when we had great players in our team, and try to remember the goals we got from corners. Short corners were very few and far between and only used either to catch out the opposition or to waste time. MW is a good manager, but he IS wrong in this use of corners.

15 Feb 2016 15:08:59
Yes wee bill, I tend to agree, but MW has got more right than wrong and this season will be a learning curve for him. He is managing the Glasgow Rangers and will be now realising just exactly what that means.
I am sure he will adapt our tactics, as he has done with the protection of the two centre backs. His next problem, in my opinion, is how to convert the chances, we create, into goals for, without a gung-ho attitude. This sounds easy, but with your main striker, slightly off-form, the choice to drop him or back him can become monumentous.
I think he will back him, and I would play Shiels or Law as an attacking mid-field support, against Killie.

16 Feb 2016 00:47:14
Cudnt agree more Bill, its time he adapted and realised this is not brazil, its Scotland and every team is now allowing Rangers corners as shown by the 23 on Saturday at allow, they weren't particularly worried, because theu knew what to expect every time, and the dealt with it, its time for some height in the box, nice to see a few actually know about the game, and are tea Rangers supporters,
Tommy.

15 Feb 2016 13:50:20
I see Neymar doing a rainbow flick yesterday and getting lauded no talk of disrespect.

15 Feb 2016 14:31:38
Is that I'm reference to now ex ger odouwa? to be honest don't think you can draw comparisons- neymar is one of the best players in world football and may grow into being one of the best in history. Been to see Barcelona a few times and he's capable of a full range of amazing tricks.

15 Feb 2016 17:03:00
Luigi I don't think it matters how good either player is the fact is neymar is rightly getting lauded for the trick and odouwa got hounded for it because it was "disrespectful" only in scotland.

15 Feb 2016 18:07:02
He's not comparing the players or their ability, it's the ridiculous reaction that he got in this country for trying to entertain.

15 Feb 2016 18:43:18
Luigi, I know you admire Barca, what about the disrespect they gave to their opponents, when Messi rolled the ball off the penalty spot into the path of Suarez to score, now in my opinion that, s DISRESPECT. Just my opinion.

15 Feb 2016 19:08:42
But what if Messi doesn't respect them? Why be a hypocrite? There is too much of this crap these days. Ronnie Osullivan beat that Robideax years ago left handed and was accused of showing the guy no respect. His reply was, I don't respect him. Fair enough.

15 Feb 2016 19:15:54
Look at wee Bud Johnstone sitting on the ball against Selick, no talk of disrespect then. It was what it was, rippin the p**h.

15 Feb 2016 14:41:45
And? So Oduwa isn't entitled to try it? We all need to start somewhere.

15 Feb 2016 16:42:47
Don't see what difference it makes, if you have that skill in your locker and Oduwa did, it's just the hypocrisy, alright for one and usually not alright for someone in a blue jersey.

15 Feb 2016 20:29:39
Oduwa tried a flick and he didn't fully pull it off. the defender cleared it Oduwa lost the ball and the attack broke down. But some day he could be as great as neymar. Eh Naw?

15 Feb 2016 20:53:03
Thats not the point bigp he was slated for even trying it. Was deliberately fouled most games as the alloa defender said "he deserved it for showing off" lmao.

15 Feb 2016 21:43:02
Showing off what a failed attempt at a trick. He will disappear down at spurs and these type of things are over hyped by a football press deprived of any real news or drama to report so the slightest thing they salivate to try to build it into a frenzy as overall Scottish football is pretty bland just now and probably has been for a while so don't let the MSM get you worked up :-)

15 Feb 2016 21:00:10
No one says he's going to be as good as Neymar just that he's allowed to attempt the same tricks, because he CAN do them.

15 Feb 2016 13:37:10
I think the big difference in warbs at Brentford and rangers is at Brentford teams would attack them leaving space to play at rangers teams park the bus I think we should play ball dm and take pot shots if they break we have cover and with our posession we would put teams in real trouble I love the way we play but some times there has to be more of an end product.

15 Feb 2016 21:48:13
I think Warburton is trying to be cleverer than he actually is I don't disagree he has improved rangers anyone would've improved on mcoist a lot of my pals go home and away and are growing frustrated with some of Warburton quirks. the pathetic constant short corners this always making substitutions on the hour. predictable not clever? And like most managers has a blind spot for a few players that's form dipped but he has a magic hat so all will be good 🎩.

15 Feb 2016 12:31:52
Is this our best Starting 11 excluding cup ties?

Foderingham

Tav. Kiernan Wilson Wallace

Holt. Halliday

King

Waghorn. O Halloran. McKay.

15 Feb 2016 16:36:56
No, not king.

15 Feb 2016 16:40:20
The only query I'd make copland1 is Dominic Ball. He is a very good player and in King, Waghorn, O'Halloran and Mackay you have four attacking players. I'd rather see Ball in to protect that back four and King dropping to the bench. Not bad if we have King, Law, Shiels and others as subs!

15 Feb 2016 16:53:29
Doiger fair point and Law might be an option or as you say Ball as a DM depending on the opposition.
Good chance Ball will play against Killie.

15 Feb 2016 18:56:32
Holt has to play as the furthest forward midfielder.

15 Feb 2016 12:10:19
Just a thought regarding Killie game to appease most posters

POSITIVES:-

1.Put all corners in the box hoping we can score with headers or break of ball.
2.Shoot on sight, maybe score or get
a goal from keeper, s parry.
3.Get crosses in the box quicker before defence can cover.
4. Play Nicky Law.

NEGATIVES:-

Keeper catches ball and starts an attack.

It, s a no brainer we should win regardless of the lineup.

mon the gers.

15 Feb 2016 12:36:45
Even the aimless corners that do come in you can see there is absolutely no work been done on the training ground to deliberately score from the corner. For instance big Keirnan going to the front post and flicking it on for someone. I know W has his ways but a few hours a week working exclusively on corners won't hurt.

15 Feb 2016 12:55:24
tactics are the remit of manager and so far i do not see much wrong.

15 Feb 2016 11:17:46
Anyone else rather see Hardie given a chance as opposed to Clark when Waggy needs to come off. Think it's clear Clark won't be getting a new contract so why not give Hardie a chance who is going to be here in the future? Think Hardie could do a job as a sub.

15 Feb 2016 12:08:24
Quite a lot of fans would like hardie to get more game time. I can understand why he's not starting games but there have been quite a few opportunities to have given him ore time off bench- particularly in games where we have established an early lead.

Feel for lad as he is clearly desperate to impress and hasn't had much of a chance.

15 Feb 2016 14:18:53
Totally agree it's starting to annoy me now that young hardie isn't getting on in front of clark, I know the gaffer sees him in training every day but surely clark has had enough chances, maybe it's time to give hardie a chance, I will be gutted if Rangers offer Nicky Clark a new contract.

15 Feb 2016 15:52:51
I agree with all the comments above, he should have been played more when we were destroying teams. And should also be coming in late on in games before Clark, if he got a few goals in these situations then we could trust him in bigger games.

15 Feb 2016 12:56:15
he is out on loan i thought.

15 Feb 2016 20:41:46
Hardies not doing it for the 20s so it will be hard for W to trust him to do it for the first team.

15 Feb 2016 10:50:43
Anyone know if a live stream for 2moros game? i can't make the game unfortunately, I've looked at vip stream site but there's only "champions league" games on that.

15 Feb 2016 11:12:29
Just looked again on vip, United v Motherwell been added, we might get a link before 2moro.

15 Feb 2016 12:09:18
Try cricfree.

15 Feb 2016 12:37:50
Cheers pie and bovril.

15 Feb 2016 12:38:26
The links will come up just before the the game.

15 Feb 2016 19:57:59
usagoals usually has most games including Rangers games.

15 Feb 2016 09:17:33
I don't follow match stats and numbers but I imagine the 23 corner kicks on Saturday must be close to, if not a club record. It's a pity we're clueless about what to do with corners when we get them and yet every one we concede is threatening.

15 Feb 2016 10:01:19
I agree. Surely by swinging in the ball toward goal gives us a better chance of SOMETHING happening rather than not getting the ball into the box. Probability would dictate that the ball would come scudding off someone and into the bag of onions at least once with 23 corners?

15 Feb 2016 16:41:01
Kiernan would be the obvious choice to go up for corners as long as we have cover for him incase of a counter attack.
Vary the corners short and swing the ball into the box.
I am sure Warbs and DW have analysed this.

15 Feb 2016 06:26:33
So they want only some countries in champions league. well if it goes thru then i hope all the goverments of associated countries demand a tv blackout of it as why should we help pay for it thru tv deals yet can't play in it. i say let them do it and all other nations refuse to play in europa league and european championships and world cup. will be some euros with only 5 teams.

15 Feb 2016 09:51:11
I think this will be the last stop before they try for a full european league.

15 Feb 2016 12:13:02
All the middle and lower ranking sides in Europe's leagues can stop this. The elite clubs think they are so powerful that they can do what they want and if they don't get it they will pick up the ball like a spoiled brat. European laws can be used to challenge this - if they want their league fine but everyone else needs to be allowed to play as well.

15 Feb 2016 00:11:15
nobody seems to mention the impact young billy king made when he came on yesterday. good ball control . good vision . nimble on his feet- reminded me of maself in the day. anyway I would start him on Tuesday. and def miller.

15 Feb 2016 04:11:58
King is cup tied having played against Aberdeen in the previous round.

15 Feb 2016 06:23:14
Deecee
I mentioned after the game it by saying Miller and King should have been on from the start and Waggy rested!

15 Feb 2016 14:53:15
Well we didn't win against Alloa, deecee. How much of impact did he make? Did he score the winner perhaps? No.
That would be the only impact worthy of mention against a part-time team.
