Both teams with two wins and a goal difference of +3 but they scored 6 goals to our 5.

No Mickey Mouse cup for us then. Think there's another team that could win it yet too. Still a valuable experience though. Do you think having signed Cummings we'll go 442 for most games or have him as like for like replacement for Morelos in a 4231? As others have said the new signings give us plenty of options anyway.

2 up top IMO maybe 4-1-3-2 formation with a striker dropping out to 4-2-3-1 when we need to pack the midfield, also the 4-4-2 diamond is still an option but don’t know where Murphy fits into that, all in all nice problems to have!

I think the board and Mark Allen deserve a lot of credit for what we are doing this January, wonder if mcinnes would change his mind about taking the job now! I'm Delighted he turned down the opportunity of his life time.

Totally Goph1872!Said many times on here that derek mcinnes was NOT the correct manager, for the rangers manager's job! The guy bottled it, to stay in his cushy wee number at the sheep! He's an absolute choker in big games, which is fact! Hope he enjoys the rest of his career at a small middle of the road football club! Big mistake delboy and you'll never get that opportunity again! That will eventually eat away at him!

I really hope Graeme Murty is a success for rest of season. I would love the guy to get job permanent. He has got a happy squad and having jimmy nic beside him will do him world of good. I've no doubt a defeat will happen and the guy will get it in the neck but got a good feeling about the man if he gets time to build his team.

Must admit bears admin 2 is a hell of a lot better than the 1st one lol, anyway thought cummings interview was good and he really looks as if he's not here to make up the numbers, twitter has exploded with his dad aswell who is a bear himself, i really think that getting people that want to play for us and not just wanting a wage isn't a bad thing, maybe pedro and his barking dogs tied to a caravan was right, i'm actually really looking forward to the 2nd half of the season now wait till fraserborough put us out lol, him and el buffalo could be deadly together and spur each other on, stick murphy windass dorrans and others and it's coming together.

Good point Trev, I’m sure his agent will be delighted to hear that Kilmarnock value him at £1m and when his contract negotiations begin (expires 2019) they will realise that he is off and will no doubt end up with a Jamie Walker situation. At least Motherwell secured a decent fee and got a great 6 months out Louis Moult who was in his final year!

Not one for trolling other supporter sites but reading twitter on Facebook from other supporters decide to take a look for myself the Hibs are raging but the hate and lies are unreal they believe we’re going into administration and we’re taking players on loan because we’re skint but no it just couldn't be made up by certain supporters fake news the hates unreal. i really hope we make some challenge in coming months thing is Scottish football needs somebody to challenge Celtic for the sake Scottish football .

If we bring in Cummings and Docherty it will be an excellent window for us.
Two real prospects and exactly the market we should be looking into. Too many fans still wanting laudrops etc we have to buy youngsters develop them and sell them on for big profits it keep them for as long as possible if good enough. Think murty and DOF seem to know what they are doing.

Happy with the transfer business so far, by putting a offer in on jones surely that means MoH time at club is up, we really need to get rid of him along with Hodson, Herrera, Halliday, Dodoo, Dalcio and once Miller, Niko and Prob Alvea leave that will free up decent wages for summer! Would also take Docherty over Halliday any day of the week, so hopefully the reason we brought the loan guys back early was to sell them on! Don't think jones is worth 1m that Kilmarnock want if rather see Naismith back.

James Tavernier was not at fault for the first goal. He was right in front of HIS Man. However, the man who scored was Nikos man. Niko just stops and his marker slips free into the back post and scores. The second goal, the Corinthians man has the ball in the centre circle and he walks past Niko unchallenged.
Niko doesn’t do anything to stop him. This leaves our defence totally on the back foot and Cordoso has no option but to rush the ball with the hope he will get something on it. But these Brazilians are far too good on the ball and play it in behind. Niko at fault for both goals and when they do their video analysis they will all know this. He’s such a liability.
20k a week and we get nothing in return. I would like to also stress how bad Herrera was. He was second to EVERY ball. The defender got the better of him every time. When Niko and Herrera were replaced it was a different game. We finally had movement up front and in midfield in an attacking and defensive sense. Herrrea and Niko do nothing off the ball. Halliday came on and was brilliant as was Goss and Morelos. Niko and Herrera need to leave. Cummings, Devante Cole, Naismith, or the West Brom man Tyler Robers would all be welcome additions to the very lean in numbers strike force. I reckon we will end up with 2 new strikers if Herrera goes. Niko keeps taking 20k a week. It’s a joke. Halliday and Forrester offer more than him and you will be lucky if they make 8/ 9k a week. No need for Niko anymore. Out of murphy, Windass, Candeias, Holt, Barjonas, Goss, Jack and Dalcio he’s the last midfielder I would pick.

Tav was not at fault. what, can he not see you speak now like? If he had a look he would have seen there was a guy behind him, he could then have spoke to one of the centre halfs to pick up his man. its not rocket science. He was then at fault for the 2nd goal. step up and they are both offside! i'm not having a go at Tav here but you can't seriously defend him for those goals!

Both goals were defensive mistakes, where were the center halves the striker is right in the middle of the penalty box and not a CH in sight and by the way tav was marking no one and for the second goal he was ten yards behind the rest of the defense playing the attackers on so how you can pick on niko for blame I do not know.

Well Nico leaves at end of season Jmk14. Actually disagree that was at fault with first goal and that Tav or the central defenders were. Fod should have saved the second goal, very slow to get down and his positioning was not good. Much to be pleased with though.

I can't see cummings being used other than an out and out striker, doesn't work hard enough or as much as el buffalo unless something has changed but a good finisher and has got arrogance in abundance, hopefully not playing every week down south migjt put that into perspective for him, I've got to admit i struggled to make a team up the one i did had 3 defenders the rest were attacking players lol

I think gm will play 4 2 4 basicly rotating the 2 in midfield between Halliday jack mccrorie goss also Dorrans when fit then the front 4 will be windass Murphy on each side of alfredo and Cummings and we will have good fire power on the bench for the first time in 6 years with Candias etc.
I can't understand why rangers don't do what Celtic have done regarding the jones deal buy the boy at 400k loan him straight back to Kilmarnock for the rest of the season and what are we going to do with all these midfielders lol not complaining but unless we play 3-6-1 lol

Reckon Cummings and Martin will be unveiled at the same time later on today. As for Jordan Jones, is he much different from MoH? I don't think so. and half a million? Good player but don't think we need him. Apart from they 2 i still think Docherty will happen but tbh we need to ship a few out now or Murty will be making the lads draw straws for who's playing. Like seriously, choose a starting 11 from our squad right now and include the potential signings and then look at the players you're going to leave out. Nice problem to have though mind you.

All you need to say to motivate the loan players is - play out your skin for 6 months and earn yourself a contract. If not you go back to your parent club to sit in the reserves.

So do you lads think the loan deals until the summer is so a potential new manager can have the final say? The board did clearly state Murty would have the job until the summer, however if he has a particularly good second half of the season and there are no standout candidates then I hope the man gets his chance to take us into next season.
Pretty good business by the board if you ask me. Had our fingers burned with Pedro's summer spending so no point in giving Murty money mid season if the board are still assessing him as a long term gaffer.

Definitely the sensible thing to do JM22, means we address the areas we need to improve and also gives either Murty (if he makes the grade) or the new manager brought in at the end of the season the chance to sign these players.
As far as I know Docherty is going to be permanent and Murphy/ Cummings we get first refusal on in the summer (I think Murphy is a certainty to sign after the loan tbh) .
I really hope Murty can pull it off in the second half of the season, he's very likeable and professional, understands the club and would also save us some money in the long run!

Agree JM22 the guys getting loan deals appear to be good business by Rangers. Dave King stated couple months back that any transfer business done in January will have an impact on the summer budget. So by getting a few guys in in January with no transfer fee then no budget outlay until the summer. If guys have bedded In well then summer transfer kitty will be used to buy if not a succeed then they are shipped out and no transfer kitty used. I believe this is good use of limited funds. If all guys that are loaned are a success and are bought in the summer then we will have to see how many more come in during summer transfer window. If this team gets over 6 months then good nucleus of squad ready to prepare for any possible European campaign. All positive signs for me at this time. You just have to look at the positive looks on players faces during Florida to understand they prefer Murty to Caixhina. Let’s just hope Gers fans those smiles are on our faces too results wise!

Totally agree lads, the board are right to hold off on signing fees until we have a long term plan in place at the club towards the summer. By that time we'll know if Murty is going to take us forward and if he is he has 2, maybe 3 in Martin, signings that he can make permanent in the summer after half a season under their belts with us.
Docherty is a must for me as we've seen so much talent leave Scotland such as Mccarthy, McArthur, Gauld, Russell ect and wondered what if? About time we snapped up a youngster with potential ala Naismith back in the day.
I we can get Cummings, Martin and Docherty in this month and potentially Jones from Killie, coupled with the Murphy and Goss deals I'd say we've had a pretty good window.

i like our new aproach to signing to often and to many times have we threw to much money at a lot of crap hence the mess we are still trying to dig ourselfs out of, if we take a handfull of loans till the summer and at least half to 3 quarters of them work out then happy days upwards and onwards
