Queens park bottom of league two 4 Albion rovers 0, enough said, can't believe we nearly went out the cup.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rovers fielded a virtual reserve side which included two trialists. I am not offering excuses it's just a fact.

Don't worry we will turn Albion over this time and beat Dundee in the semi easy up the gers stand by your team

Agree0 Disagree0

Not an excuse for last weeks display against them but today they rested there full first team squad

Agree0 Disagree0

All the better players were rested

Agree0 Disagree0

Sweep not aan excuse but that was two different teams Albion played with. I am sure a couple of trialists and some kids were playing. Again no excuse we should have humped AR in the first game.

Would like to say the SFA not budging on ibrox for semi a good call, but only offering dundee utd 13000 tickets is wrong. We don't need favours from SFA. Give them 50/50 ticket ssplt. As for S Thompson saying he ain't got problem with us then stating he will sit with dufc fan as unsafe in directors box? What sh!t

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What does it matter anyway about the game, its a neutral venue and as such we the support will be boycotting as we did the last time? against Utd and the teams who voted against us?
or have we changed our minds on that 1. sporting integrity, indeed.

Bet we don't.
Lets hope they don't allocate us tickets on the basis of our last cup game against them? that would be a bit of a downer. although possibly fair in respect of the true spirit of the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't remember us boycotting a neutral ground

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 what neutral ground did we boycott?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all sour grapes with thompson and anyway the puppet master in the east end is probably pulling the strings any there is nowhere else other than parkhead that can hold enough and murrayfield is a non runner because that means taking money out of the game at time when its sorely needed thompson is onlya disciple of the the unnofficial master at the s f a

Agree0 Disagree0

N1 ally youve lost me on your post I don't know what your talking about

Agree0 Disagree0

My point was Ibrox is not and never will be if we are playing there going to be a neutral venue.
You must go to Ibrox the same as me,, where can you split the neutral venue in half? it can't be done?
As for boycott neutral grounds I never mentioned boycotting neutral venues in any part of my post it was DUFC we were going to boycott no matter what or where? or have we changed that little point again? we were boycotting no matter where as a protest?to hurt them financially.

A big well done to the sfa today for not giving into dundee uniteds demands and move the game away from ibrox. Very childish and pathetic of mr thompson who will not sit in the directors box if we make the semi final. Surely it would breach the sporting integrity of the cup if the match was moved due to dundee uniteds demands.

"There were no issues raised then at that early stage. "

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - It was never going to happen)

Totally agree ed, totally embarrassing for a club who have played the sporting integrity card for a few years. I wonder how many dundee united fans signed the shameful petition to have the matches moved. Furthermore, I wonder how many of the celtic faithful will admit to signing it or will they be high and mighty haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whoever at DU made this request has just handed his own team a physiological disadvantage.
If they were to meet selic in the final would they have made the same request. Nope because Liewell who have told his puppet to sit down like a nice wee boy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaz I posted on here when this petition was first mentioned and ime sure it was started on a celtic site

Gaz and @2 and @3. You are obviously the kind that like a punty up rather than trying to climb up yourselves. They have a totally legit point about the ticket allocation which is nothing other than a disgrace and we would be absolutely raging if it ever happened to us. Its a cup semi final. Why should tickets be allocated like its a home game for us just because its at ibrox? Its only at ibrox because hampden not available. Is that not advantage enough? This just stinks of an embarassing act of charity from the sfa, it just looks like they know we're so sh#te we need help twice over. Imagine how humiliating it will be now if we lose. Personally I take no pleasure in having dice loaded for me, prefer to take a fair chance as it makes winning an achievement to be proud of.

Agree0 Disagree0

Again 'ill state 1 thing. if it was us against that lot who play in stripes and we were having to play at the "dump" we would be going absolutely mad. There is no way the top brass would not listen to our fan base.
As for Utd they not getting a change because Strippey ones don't won't us in their ground in case of damage? be expecting a massive turn around when we get into final and get ready for a trip to Edinburgh.

Agree0 Disagree0

Certainly won't be embarrassing losing to Dundee utd, under any circumstances.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree re the ticket allocation; it's shameful. Moving the game was a non-starter though; any objections should have been raised months ago

Agree0 Disagree0

They do have a legit point about seating. They should be entitled to 50% of allocation. My point was about their chairman and his pathetic attempts to move the match prior to ticket allocation being announced. This discussion shouldn't even of took place until if we qualified for the semis - disrespectful to the wee albions, we've seen cup humiliations happen already this season from our own loss to forfar or the multi-million pound squad at parkhead being humiliated at the hands of morton.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why was there no protests awayawayaway back when it was decided that's why I think it should be played at ibrox not because we will be at home yes the sfa should have waited but they didn't so why all the fuss now

{Ed039's Note - Starting Line-Up vs Dunfermline - Big Jig starts up front-

Bell; Foster, Mohsni, Faure, Smith; Crawford, Black, Peralta, Aird; McCulloch, Clark
SUBS: Simonsen, Wallace, Cribari, Hutton, Shiels, Daly, Gallagher

What happened to the promise to add more youth once the league was won?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Crawford?)

Good to see youth been given it's chance! FFS time to give in

Agree0 Disagree0

Would have liked to have seen more youth, eg, mcausland, gasparatto, telfer, to name but three, with at least one of them starting.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - McAusland is on loan at Ayr United)

The fact there is a Scottish Cup semi final spot up for grabs, it would not be too prudent to blood a crop of youngsters today. Hopefully more will get their chance in league run in. Pretty dire to watch, don't miss giving up season ticket. Unfortunately that is the 'style' Ally wishes to use, wasted chance over last 2 years. Such is life.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done to young Gallagher with his goal today

Agree0 Disagree0

I was a good win today not the prettiest football but we all knew it would be a physical game two good goals impressed with Gallagher thought Aird done ok again but come on more youth do you want five or six get beat at home crowd then starts getting at these young players let's start bringing in one or two let them enjoy being in a winning team these guys are still teenagers some of the players they are against are grown men our lads may be decent players but are not mature enough to stand up to that so let's take it easy with them today was ok not let's look to Monday

Agree0 Disagree0

@1. The same as the attacking football he promised in the beginning, and walking away if was best for Rangers, McCoist lied!

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 I know he's only a young player, but come on, really? Aird done ok? The fact is the boy is struggling and has been for the last 5 or 6 games. He has potential but it's time to take him out the team for a couple of games

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 the whole team is struggling, why take aird out? Wee Blackie has been rubbish all season, why not take him out the team?

Agree0 Disagree0

At @6 and 8 you are both correct. These young players while they have potential are not physically or mentally strong enough to carry the team over the course of a season. What makes us think we can suddenly unearth players like Durrant or Ferguson to fill a full team when no other club can achieve it either. Would settle for 2 or 3 are real quality and deserve their place. I am afraid Crawford proved on Saturday why he is not playing regularly

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 I don't think there are any semi final places up for grabs as I am sure barring injury Ally would have already decided his team. What I don't understand is why Cribari playing in front of Halkett or Gasparatto

Agree0 Disagree0

Stewie I wonder why he gets a game at all

just read Allys interview with the DR, the seasons not even over and he is making excuses for the coming season.

i am sick to the back teeth of his excuses for the poor football that I have witnessed this season if its not the opposition put 11 men behind the ball and make it extremely hard for us ( well its your job to coach the team on how to break them down) or its the opposition raise their game when they play Rangers ( well guess what Ally its your job to make sure Rangers raise their game even higher) now he's worried his current squad ( the very squad he assembled and pays handsomely) will struggle against Hearts and possibly Dunfermline if they go up not to mention the dreaded scenario of another premiership team coming down in the play offs.

heaven forbid Ally having to face a challenge and prove he has some managerial and tactical skills its about time we got rid of this imposter Allys all about self preservation and nothing else.

as I've stated before If Dave King or anyone else wants my season ticket money they can have it if they can re-assure me that once he gets control of Rangers he purges the club of all the charlatans and that means Ally and his mates

Allys had his chance and he has been shown wanting Rangers owe him nothing he has been handsomely rewarded throughout his entire football career

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - LB, one of the best posts I have read for a while and I couldnt agree more)

Here here well said OP

Agree0 Disagree0

Not much to disagree with, how big a financial advantage in player wages does Ally need to feel comfortable?
Nobody in div1 next year will have a budget bigger than a 1 million or so, if Rangers fail then it is obvious who is to blame, next year Ally will actually have to work for his money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Had to laugh about Ally's comment after the Rovers game claiming that anyone would have found it hard to score against them. Somehow don't see Barcelona or Real Madrid struggling to score against rovers. Just another embarrassing comment to add to the growing list

I see WBA have sacked Anelka for gross miss conduct. Black should have been shown the door for the same reason for his betting aganst the gers activiities. A manager with bottle would have told his directors to terminate his contract.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sandaza got sacked for less than wee Blackie.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a great opportunity to sack Black and I don't know why he wasn't. The man has been an embarrassment to the club since the day he signed him

Agree0 Disagree0

True, also how accurate were the reports on peralta wanting to leave? If that's the case dump him, make him train alone to prepare for the WC. Professional wages for unprofessional attitudes. Congrats to C Gallacher, he looked absolutely delighted after scoring! Also spoke very politely after the match.

Iain Black should go. He's an embarrassment to our club, disrespectful to the fans. A bit of a thug. And a moany ass bitch to boot. Agree or disagree fellow Bears. LaineyBlue
