I have finally accepted that the Rangers I grew up with has died. Today was the final straw. As a loyal, every game fan for over 25 years, I hate to say but I was hoping for an Alloa equaliser today as, unless we are shamed on the park (we are shamed in the boardroom every other day) nothing will change. We had a great opportunity to build a team, a style of play but we did nothing except short term measures. We needed a coach not a manager, someone who could spot, nurture & develop talent as opposed to someone who would indulge in easy short-term planning measures which only hurt the club. I am so disillusioned with this once great Club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I totally agree pal but only yesterday on this same site I was more or less accused of being a trator just be caused I said my piece about McCoist and mccleod and that I'd have been happy to take a draw of defeat today this is not even the rangers spirit of the worst times in es past never mind the rangers spirit of the club I grew up supporting not even a shadow of it and McCoist is a major part of the problem

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 Defeat, or drawing at home to Alloa is never acceptable, nor did I learn anything more of McCoists ineptitude than before that disgrace. Your post has the old "see, I told you so" about it, which helps no one.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was a season ticket holder for 10 years, but gave up this year, as had seen enough on McCoist and his
1) Lack of tactics
2) Lack of motivation
3) Lack of giving youth a chance
4) Mates given game after game
5)Players played out of position
At any other club if you don't perform you get dropped, you start to lose your pace you get dropped. He has put our youth players out and I quote " To get game time" haven't most of them been with us whilst we were in the 3rd and 2nd Divisions when we were playing part timers and could have been given game time. We have no money, and he speaks of bringing in more recruits in January what planet is he on. The man in no longer a legend in my eyes he is a leg end and must GO NOW.

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as macoist is at ibrox the standard of of play will remmain dire he is as much use as a chocolate firegaurd instead of berating asley everyone should turn their attention to macoist because until he goes there will be no betterness

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not the managers job to spot talent we don't have a scouting system the next Gazza could be playing 10 miles up the road we wouldn't know hence the old trusted players back at Ibrox i'm not on here defendinkack and Law can't play together g our manager far from it that result yesterday was horrendous buy we must look at what's going on upstairs also you have to look at some of the players Templeton hasn't kicked a ball for us Boyd is murder Black and Law can't play together there is no pace but we have very few good young players coming through as we have no scouting system to find them we haven't paid a transfer fee since Templeton the team is full of run of the mill players who came on free transfers so changing the manager costs money and we don't have any £70 mill gone where???? threat of job cuts turmoil in the boardroom its got to affect players moral is low at this club and until we get the boardroom sorted out nothing will change no investment look at stadium looks old and tired just like the team so i'm not the biggest fan of Ally as a manager but let's look upstairs at the same time

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - sorry but it is the manager's job to spot talent. The best managers use their scouts to identify potential for them to check out, even if it is only via video footage, before they consider signing them.}

16 Nov 2014 11:29:54
1-1 draw with Alloa and you jump onto the band wagon of the people who don't like us by saying you eventually agree we're not the same team disgraceful, by all means slate the manager the team after poor performance & result but not the same Rangers disgraceful response.

6, I agree with you m8, shocking post, so if we had won 6_0 we would still be the same club ? We are Rangers, can't you read op. ? Look on the gates of Ibrox park ? It says RANGERS ! We may be s**** with a poor excuse for a manager but our fans still follow Rangers, get a grip b4 posting such comments, let the rest of us support our club

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 & 7 well said,

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Nov 2014 19:19:07
@7. I respect your right to believe that it is the same club it's just a shame that you use the gates as an example. The gates are the very proof that there is no difference between club and company and therefore that the club founded in 1872 is dead.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you post a reply saying "good managers use their scouts to identify potential " that is my point we don't have any scouts a club our size should have a system watching players right across Europe it was going to be Nerlinger but board said it was to costly I am not making excusses for Ally some of his result have been shocking and Saturday just added to them but we need to look upstairs the money we have spent is outrageous and a team full of free transfers players past it also when are these players going to be held to account for their displays from top to bottom our club has lost its way and changes in all departments is needed but the money is gone

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - then Ally should be talking to his contacts within the game who could suggest possible targets for him to watch. Agents are always happy to bring to light any players they represent who could be good enough as well. Other than that, he could get off his arse and go out and look for them like other managers do in the lower leagues, who have nothing like his enormous salary for doing bugger all. Sorry but there is no excuse for him and his pathetic attempts at management. When you are in the lower leagues you have to do more yourself, tough, it might do him some good to go out and about watching games and seeing how football is actually played instead of the dross he produces with his teams. It matters not how 'big' your club is, the facts are that you have been playing in part time leagues for 3 seasons now, yet he has still not bothered to try and learn how to manage without a chequebook and full time players. He should try becoming a real manager, earn his ridiculous salary for a change.}

As many will vouch for, I have come on here often and urged people to get behind Ally. The time for that has come and gone. Not even in the darkest of dark nights under 'The Frenchman" did I call for a manager to step down but the time has come. Ally, for the good of the club you clearly love, for the good of the team, for the sake of the support PLEASE do the decent thing and leave your post. Go upstairs into PR or some such, there will always be a job at Ibrox for you. Your time has come Ally, it won't be walking away, it's for the best for the team. It has to be done Ally, please do the right thing

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001

Great post mate and can't argue with any of that. Sums up the ridiculous situation since McCoist took charge. 3 highly paid coaches in himself, McDowall and Durrant yet none seem capable or willing to get their hands dirty and start running the football side of the business properly. All 3 had good careers and should have plenty of contacts but yet nothing seems to happen. Have to wonder who recommended Peralta to Rangers who is shocking to say the least

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed033 Note: The Rangers Player Ratings page has been updated to the latest Rangers match.

You can also vote on Man of the Match for the latest game using our Rangers Man of the Match Polls page.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed, was wondering if anyone actually voted a man of the match yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't believe anyone has.}

There aren't any Alloa players listed to pick one.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Nov 2014 20:49:11
these players are guaranteed a game every week this is why the players think they can just turn up and win any other manager would change the team next game bet mccoist won't tho
the players need a spark and a new manger is the answer but will we get our wish no they the board and manger will all just ignore us the paying fans as they usually do

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Nov 2014 20:16:00
this result confirms many of the fans thoughts and opinions
1: we have not developed any decent players
2: management has not a clue
3: the board are even worse
4: No amount of cash can sort our troubles
5: There is no quick fix

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Iv always stuck up for the manager but I'm struggling now. It will take time but if someone new comes in we could probably win games without being great so we could maybe get away with it. The question is who and tbh I'm struggling

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Nov 2014 12:43:17
Billy Davies is waiting m8, and Robbie neilsonwud be a decent shout too, doubt he would leave hearts for us at this time

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Nov 2014 18:21:55
Enough. McCoist is useless and so are his favourites Black, Law, Smith and Foster. Trouble is, with nobody really in charge 'upstairs', there is nobody to sack him! Only consolation is that Hibs are so poor as well that we may well get the 2nd place and a play-off chance. Can't take much more.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes Doiger, I have said everything I intend to say about the manager. Just one parting shot to the fans groups-- Maybe it is time to re-direct your protests.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Nov 2014 18:15:24
Ally please go now before its to late, you've just not got it as a manager. your one of the reasons people don't go.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Simples macoist must go

great result and performance today lads !!! bring on the Celtic now, with a bit of luck we may limit them to single figures.
Disgraceful in all areas, complete lack of motivation, maybe time to put everyone on the living wage deal. that's all most of them are worth

Didn't expect L Mcloud to have his usual impact on todays game.
given the fact he`s had a full week training at a much higher tempo than usual, and while the rest of the Scotland squad have a days rest he has to go and play for his club.
also expect he`ll back training with Scotland tomorrow, or there is no point in him going back.
the guy should have been left to enjoy the day off celebrating last nights victory with the rest off squad
now he`s rejoining squad with head down, and
I expect a bit off a ribbing.
good call Ally

Worst performance of the season, i think we can now forget about promotion. Smith, Foster couldn't get a game for a pub team. Even mccleod had a bad game. Templeton lacking in confidence. Law a waste of space.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

McCoist has already said he will know when it's time to leave rangers, over to you ally!! Fudging shocking.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Nov 2014 17:12:51
Enough enough enough

This club is dead if it can't beat Alloa even with McLeod !!!

Pressure off Hearts thanks to board - Alloa pumped up for match !!!

3 points behind Hearts 5. 00, 6 behind by 7. 30 and 9 behind by 3. 00 next Saturday !!!!

Why? Because they do their talking lob the park not the papers !!!'

Clear out required - starting at crooked board!!!!

Best start again !!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Think ally might be getting a visit from they CID guys investigating alleged fraud case.
think they will be inquiring about the vast amount of cash he`s taking out the club, and for fraudulently claiming to be a manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Nov 2014 17:39:45
today was shocking could not cross a ball no pace couldn't pass to save there self when is our manger going learn and put mcleod in the centre law and black are useless together to many players taking there place for granted we need a left winger and right winger who got pace and can cross so boyd and miller can actually score goals no service no goals

Agree0 Disagree0

Blueberd: No bad, but this is no time for fa**ying about mate. This is as bad as it gets, I can honestly see him chuckin it. (God willing)

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Nov 2014 17:47:56
How bad was that performance so glad young Lewis was available God only knows what would have happened Without him? Maybe when the old bill looking into fraudulent activity at Ibrox they should have a look management, coaches, and players all per porting to be something there not, I wrongly put Alloa down last week and was quite rightly put in my place by ED they have indeed punched above there weight in recent years and deserved everything they got today and should be very proud of themselves unlike us.

Agree0 Disagree0

N2as soon as I seen rangers players saying the pressure would be on hearts once the point gap was reduced to one point I knew we wouldn't win they should have kept quiet until after today's game assumption can bite people,

Well done Scotland last night, the boy Robertson was superb throughout, while being pleased for the boy his performance just made me think of how much of nuggit McCoist really is.
I mean, the whole of Scotland could see how good he was against us apart from him. Real class left backs are few and far between, but that boy is a gem.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said gkk. I thought Robertson was top class. Also very good were Marshall, Maloney and Naismith. Still don't rate Whittaker as a defender and too be fair Scott Brown was solid and never stopped running. It will be nice to seem some Gers players back in the national team once we are back where we should be. Certainly Wallace and McLeod would be good enough on present form once back in the SPL though Wallace couldn't keep Robertson out!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Nov 2014 11:54:45
DOIGER: I think McLeod will have a good Scotland career in the years to come, but the boy Robertson has surpassed Wallace already, you are right there. I'll stick my neck out on that boy going to one of the top four in England,or abroad next season for big money.Well done Ally.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally decided not to take him as he was too good and a stand out in the league. Get a grip guys, let it go. Some people just looking for any excuse.

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as I agree totally that Robertson has became a top drawer player can u remember him standing out against rangers did u go away going he was really good that left back? Would everyone had been happy if we had bought him and played him in front of lee Wallace at that time although I understand the concern in mccoists tactics and eye for a player I think with this one he maybe can't be criticised too much we had the best left back in the league by a mile that year it probably wasn't an area to strengthen and if for example duff had got him and he didn't work out no one would have known these things happen in football all I'm saying is I can see why he wasn't looking for a left back at that time and if he had bought him at that time he would have been quite rightly playing second fiddle to the best left back in the league at that time, the boy has now turned into a player which he wouldn't have at Ibrox through a mixture of coaching and the fact we didn't need a left back

Just want to say a big thanks to wee strachan, for making it enjoyable watching scotland again, and maloney for an amazing goal.
Very sad to hear about the young lads death last night though.

Been a long time waiting. 2 ****ing years but the satisfaction of knowing that little cnut Whyte is going to end up inside at some stage is best feeling I've had in a long time. just hoping the coppers actually have serious charges to put forward after taking so long. best hope yet of finally getting rid of the in the boardroom as panic will set in and certain parties might just want to walk away before investigations spreading from Duff & Phelps 'assisting' the Green offer. the story begins now I ope and I sincerely hope they ALL end up in jail. george

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well done George its been a long time

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye its been alang time coming but these people seem ta find a way of gaing away wa it.

I am putting up wanted posters on a social site I don't think I can name looking to find this little rat CG and offering a reward. I hope every Rangers fan does the same as the network I mean has world wide coverage and we all know bears are everywhere :-) really want to see him in handcuffs. He is the most likely to grass also as he will cry like a baby :-) . george

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real thre is no chance of any of them doing time or even being chargedthats how these guys survive much as i don't like it financial bandits in these situations are very hard to prove against them

Agree0 Disagree0

Wull61: They have been charged mate, hence the fact they are lying in over the weekend. I think they will get bail on Monday, but they wouldn't do a simultanious swoop like that unless they have something concrete.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wull61 I think if found guilty craig white will get a few years maybe4 I think the other will be ordered to pay back huge sums of money as an alternative to jail time, I think we should do a book on who will squeal I say the lawyer, as he walked away from duff n phelps !once he smelt the rat

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder if any of the shareholders will try selling there share,
