Who's thinks we'd be in a far better position if Dorrans was fit? I think he is one of the only players in the squad who can split a defence through the middle of the park. He showed it in 5 minutes against Villareal and some of our other midfielders haven't shown it all season. Teams know we're going to get it out wide and try to cross it.

I agree Blue89.A fit graham dorrans would without doubt bring a very big threat from the attacking midfield area of our team. He's a natural goalscoring no.10,who is also a tremendous killer passer through the tightest of defences!

Zikos, he’s hardly been able to have a run of games and when he did have a run the team was dreadful. I think if you had a midfield three of him, Arfield, and Davis (fingers crossed) we would be able to break down teams that sit ten men behind the ball against us. Then in games against teams who attack you can play Jack or McRorie.

Suoercooper when did Dorrans show this when he was fit last year hasn’t been good enough for us since he came don’t get me he was good down south but not with us.

if we get Dorrans back fit, Davis in and pair with Arfield I would feel very comfortable in the middle of the park.

When Dorrans is back a formation change to 4-2-3-1 would allow him to play behind Morelos. he’s always been an attacking midfielder from his Livingston days and coming from deep as he has to do in the 4-3-3, it doesn’t seem to suit him although he has scored a few goals before being injured. Played in his correct position he can be very effective. 🇬🇧.

When Dorran's first joined Rangers and was playing as an attacking midfielder, he really had great qualities. But Pedro ruined him by putting him at CDM. Only 5 minutes on the park at Villareal and he showed he can find that quality pass to put someone through on goal. We need him now, to partner arfield in the CM.

Totally with you as regards ryan jack mate! Would always be in my rangers midfield, as our defensive midfielder! He's been superb under steven gerrard! I've said continually on here that jack would always have a place in our midfield!

My cousin is best pals with Dorrans and I can tell you he has barely been 50% fit since he has been here. He felt under pressure to play for previous managers when not fit, took pain killing injections etc. but did it without complaining because he is a bluenose. After Gerrard came in, Gerrard has told him to take his time to get right before coming back into the team because he knows a fully fit Dorrans is in his 2 or 3 best players. Dorrans is absolutely top drawer, he's just yet to play fully fit in a Rangers Hersey.

Ehmmmm Celtic last 3 games exactly the same, 1 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat.
I assume that means Celtic have also bottled it or is it just the usual ex Celtic pundits doing there usual and getting their bit in.

I don't think we have botteled it, we just haven't approved or capitalised. 2 of our loan players have returned. Gerrard has only been given 5,5million so far. Gerrard is doing well with a relatively small budget. Will be interesting if King supports him.

He has been given more than that Goldson and Katic alone come to that amount then there is Grezda 2.5m and barasic the same we have spent around the £10million mark so far.

So many negative comments on here. We won, we are top of the league, have won as many league games as the unwashed. What more do you want? Huge progress from the last few years. We've been unlucky with injures to Kent, Dorrans and Murphy and unlucky on the pitch, hitting the post today and the bar on Thursday night. You need a bit of luck too. Tough game to come on Wednesday night but El Buffalo will be back. The unwashed still have to go to Aberdeen this month then to Ibrox to play us. If we are still top of the league by the end of the year that will be great and then let Stevie get one or two signings in the door.

We have made progress but we're a hard watch just now. Should have put Dallas on up top with lafferty last half hour n went 4-4-2. 1 up front at home agsinst Hamilton doesn't mske sense to me. Celtic are trying there best to chuck the league away if we didn't drop 5 points last week we could be sitting eith a nice weekend cushion going into a hard run of gsmes.

If you didn’t know the score and you took out the word win from a lot of these comments you would think we got beaten badly. I seen total possession. Chances made again and again. 2 unbelievable saves by Woods. It was a 3-0 game but woods played amazing and made that score. Lafferty didn’t have the best game to be fair and though Dallas would have had 5 minutes. Top of the league. Onwards and upwards.

I was more frustrated at the 22 corners which were fairly ineffective, also the reason we got so many corners was because we couldn't beat the 1st man with crosses from open play. The big point is 3 points and top of the league. Quite impressed with hibs though they did well, we will have to be right up for it against them twice.

It really was a great save. And knocking the crosses away as well as drawing a few fouls. We have been blessed to get him back, playing in the form that he has been playing in.

No goals from 22 corners is to be expected. Apparently only about 3% of corners lead to goals. or at least that was the case in the EPL in 2011 when the study was carried out. Also, apparently only one goal comes from every 92 crosses. yet rangers insist on crossing the ball all day and wonder why we hardly score nowadays. We just have no great quality or "killer instinct" as the manager says. We were very good in a lot of areas today, and on Thursday though.

I was at the game yesterday and i'm glad to be top of the league again. However, I understand we will have uos and downs along the way but 1-0 at home to Hamilton is just not a league winning formula. I thought we obviously dominated the game but we simply can't score. There seems to be a lack of confidence at trying a shot from 18 yards. Hamilton were shocking and we could only score one goal. Why are we trying to walk the ball in the net?

Yip, 3 points and top of the league. let's be honest again it wasn't great against a very poor team. 23 corners, 80% possession. Its a bit concerning, can't beat a poor Aberdeen or Dundee. What Rangers player stuck out today? Tav is never a right back or captain. Yes i'm expecting a lot lot more from this team.

im a big steve g fan and i do think he's doing a decent job but we have to stop playing with so many defensive midfielders ie jack and mcrorie in same side at home to a piss poor hamilton side no spark or invention in middle to front, god we really miss wee freddy boy when he's out thanks he's back on wednesday.

That was frustrating! A win is a win in the end but that kind of effort isn't going to get you 3 points more often than not. The wingers got the deliveries in today but absolutely no ruthlessness in front of goal. When was the last time somebody had a decent shot from the top of the box. An example of what I am talking about is Grezda has the ball in the six yd box and we turn it out to Tav who fires it of the defender. Can we not cut back balls to the top of the box? Then again there's no one that looks like they want to step through one. It felt like Hamilton stuck to their game plan despite going a goal down early and it almost got them the draw in the last twenty. We really must kill off these games early. It would have been nice to save up some energy to take on what will be a tough Hibs game on Wednesday.

Its something we have to learn to overcome because you know every team bar Tic in SPL going to play nine behind ball. In general we're not fast enough in playing ball midfield forward. Agree with certain posts but Dormans untested over a period. SG comments this morning on TV bang on.

A few of you should try watching the game again without your I Hate Grezda specs on and see the runs he made off the ball when our midfielders couldn't pick him out, watch the intelligence of his movement, I could go on but it's obviously a waste of time. I don't know what you were watching. Grezda was one of our better players, not man of the match though. Clearly Ryan Jack should have won that with yet another tremendous display. But grezda and barasic seemed to link up well in the first half particularly. Grezda was made to look stupid once by candeias running needlessly offside when they were 2 on 1 with a defender. Other than that, 7/ 10 today.

I know injuries, suspensions and lack of personnel have dictated it but we shouldn't be playing Hamilton with a midfield setup like that. I like mccrorie, jack and arfield but it's too defensive a trio. It should be mccrorie or jack, there's no need for both. Neither will break beyond the ball or get in and around lafferty.

I like katic but I heard he was a bombscare that day he got taken off which was away at Hamilton I think. He was also very poor away at spartak. I do agree that it's strange that he's slipped behind Worral who has done nothing to overtake him. Unless it's a clause in his loan deal.

Well if we're going to be pedantic about it Snell, Katic's performances did not justify him being dropped. Yes he made mistakes against Spartak and Hamilton away when he did come back in but his confidence will be shot to pieces. What's training got to do with it? The minute Worrall came in, Katic was dropped and ever since we've looked shaky at the back.

in the summer chose to sign a lot of defenders our defence was looking good with katic and goldson. Then for some reason gerrard chose to drop katic for worral this was a big mistake and ever since then we have been shaky at the back.
Going forward we do not need sign a centre back in Jan unless pre contract.
katic and goldson should be the pairing going forward as do not have Europe to worry about now.
The young lad Dallas has played 50 games and scored 51 goals he is now 19 years of age.
So if gerrard think he is not ready has the lad really got a chance at rangers.
He is not a young 16-17 year old striker he is 19 at the very least the lad should be on the bench.
I am not two impressed that we are yet again been linked with loan players they are not the answer to our problems this needs adressing.

Agree Katic and goldson were rock solid first 10 or so games and then Worrall gets a game from nowhere. Also think we should go for Shankland, proven Scottish goal scorer and Gers fan. What is the point of a loan signing for another forward when we have Shankland who we would get for much better value for money than pena and Herrera whose wages we are still paying!

Craig, a very honest post and i agree. I do not wish to slate Gerrard but facts are 2 loan players now returned, some posters saying Worrall is poor, Kent and Coulabaly are average. My assumption is King is not backing Gerrard and that is a concern.
