Saying hearts have turned down another bid this time 600,000 I would personally bid once more of 700 if that's a no then I'd tell him to hold tight and we will get him on a pre contract in Jan f**k them.

17 Jun 2017 01:07:10
Yep exactly. I'd maybe even say $650k at the highest and throw one MOH to get him off our wage bill.

17 Jun 2017 07:59:53
I keep hearing of players like Dorrans somehow gaining credibility for having played in the "Premiership" WTF?
The Premiership is Scottish top division, where Rangers already are playing.
The English top flight is the Premier league. Got it?

17 Jun 2017 08:37:42
Buddy666

I think everyone who follows football knows what is meant when they talk about Dorrans playing in the premiership. Maybe not quite accurate but hardly worth mentioning

17 Jun 2017 10:01:48
Buddy. It was called the Premiership for 14 years between '93 and '07. People still use that name to talk about it. And anybody with an ounce of football knowledge knows that.

17 Jun 2017 11:56:29
If you say the premiership to anyone in any country around the world they will automatically assume you are talking about the English premier league not the Scottish one.

17 Jun 2017 13:26:30
When you say 'Premiership' Deanobear I automatically think of the Chinese one 😂

16 Jun 2017 21:59:54
So that's the two loan boys gone, garner, hill and senderos gone. Looking like Forrester will be away. Hopefully by the middle of next week we'll have 10 players in meaning we still need to get rid of 3 or 4 I reckon? Who would you like to see go from the current squad.

Forrester
Waghorn
Hodson
Halliday
Ohalloran

That's 5 i'd like to see go. I'd keep Holt as I reckon he could be decent around decent players but if we g9t offered a couple hundred thousand for him I suppose we'd take it. i'd also keep Windass and crooks and give them one more season to prove themselves.

After the ten (hopefully) we look like bringing in I'd like to bring in one more right back and that would do me for this season.

16 Jun 2017 22:26:49
Would you keep tav? I wouldn't total liability last year and would put Dodoo and Holt out on loan to current Spl teams but on agreement they couldn't play against us! As for crooks and Windass sell simply not good enough! we're signing the standard of player which is expected at Rangers current international players or the potential to become international players not crap from Accrington Stanley or Doncaster rovers!

16 Jun 2017 23:12:33
Holt isn't good enough don't know why people can't see that. Doesn't create much and only scored 1 goal all season none in the league. We need to have much better than that

17 Jun 2017 00:14:45
I would keep Holt, Pedro like Tav and with a strong midfield and defensive set up he should be better than last season. Hodson I would sell and get some money for, Halliday I would pay off just to get rid!

17 Jun 2017 01:10:27
Tav has been shafted by Warburton for near 2 years. You can't have a full Jack bombing forward with no defensive cover. This season we will have Pena and Jack as cover for the full backs going forward.

I think there's a player in Windass but he didn't get a proper run in the side last season.

As for Holt I can see why people don't like him but again playing with better players giving him more freedom he would be a decent squad player.

17 Jun 2017 01:11:19
Why am I not seeing Keirnans name anywhere😒 I'd say
Keirnan
Halliday
Windass
Crooks
Holt (to make space for Barjonas)
Waghorn
MOH
I'd only let Tav or Hodson go if we got another RB in.

17 Jun 2017 01:12:15
Oh and I forgot Forrester. That's how insignificant he is. Couldn't even remember him 😂

17 Jun 2017 03:50:35
Halliday, holt to go

17 Jun 2017 08:40:00
Can the people who want Holt to stay tell me what he brings to the team? It's certainly not goals and it's not as if he creates much either?

17 Jun 2017 10:04:51
Holt brings energy to the midfield. When he gets the ball his first thought is to go forward with it. With 2 solid mids beside him I think he will be an important player for the team. Also 10 goals in 54 appearences isn't too bad for a midfielder.

17 Jun 2017 13:55:48
Parky7720

Energy what a very no discript word which means nothing. Any Rangers fan would give you that doesn't mean they should play. He scored 1 goal last year which didn't come in the league and he creates next to nothing. Average player whose level is Kilmarnock or Hamilton

16 Jun 2017 20:51:07
Can I ask why some seem to be wetting they're knickers at the thought of dorrans signing? Is he really anything other than a decent midfielder? Would spending £1m-£1.3m not be better spent on Kenny McLean?

16 Jun 2017 21:28:25
Dorrans is a good player and would improve our midfield

16 Jun 2017 21:42:48
No it would not

16 Jun 2017 22:06:05
He is a far better player than kenny McLean he has played in the premiership for most of the past 8-9 years

17 Jun 2017 01:13:23
A premiership team didn't snap up McLean when he was younger, Aberdeen did so that shows the difference between the two

17 Jun 2017 04:24:54
But can't get in Norwich team

17 Jun 2017 07:46:38
He was one of norwich's key men until injury keeping him out of 7/ 8 games which there win % dropped significantly.

16 Jun 2017 20:13:46
Ipswich Town have signed striker Joe Garner from Rangers for an undisclosed fee on an three-year contract.

The 29-year-old moved to the Scottish Premiership side from Preston last summer on a three-year deal and scored 10 goals in 37 Rangers appearances.

16 Jun 2017 20:28:18
We've sold 👏👏 Joey Garner, We've sold 👏👏 Joey Garner.

16 Jun 2017 20:33:53
No great loss-never a proper Rangers player in my view-just hope we didn't take too much of a financial hit on him!

16 Jun 2017 20:52:44
Wish the lad all the best. Cannot say he lacked effort and he was far from being a total failure. Do think he was s panic end of window purchase though by Warburton. looks like we lost £1m on the deal.

16 Jun 2017 23:15:47
FD

Have to disagree he was a total failure. More interested in picking fights with opponents than scoring. Made some stupid challenges and the incident with Jack was as bad as the Lafferty one. Wont be missed and never good enough. Just typical of the rubbish Warburton brought to the club

17 Jun 2017 00:15:55
I wish him well. He should never have been bought in the first place, just another crazy Weir and Warburton signing!

17 Jun 2017 01:14:13
At least we got a laugh when he booted Dougie Imrie 😂Quality

16 Jun 2017 18:53:04
Just been looking into the europa league qualifying the first round should be easy second there are a few decent sides but the 3rd round you have zenit galatasaray fenerbache AC Milan Everton with a lot more big sides coming into it in the playoff round going to be a hard one to qualify.

16 Jun 2017 22:10:32
Noticed Red Imps included in first round draw. What chance we draw them!

16 Jun 2017 17:37:24
Where are the mexicans? Have they taken the long route through Mongolia?

16 Jun 2017 13:32:11
There are certain things that I really want to hear about soon.
Firstly the time for King to speak to the fans to inform us of any change to our financial situation should be happening soon, I know that he could and would not be able to tell us the exact details but there must have been a change to Merchandise Deal. Perdonally I think he may inform us of the change on the same day the new kit is revealed.

16 Jun 2017 16:00:37
What makes you think there has been a change to the merchandise deal?

16 Jun 2017 16:00:39
I don't see any change to the deal with our kits happening soon; sports direct seemingly have a water tight deal and we have a few years notice left to run unfortunately.

Take note of the fact that someone like Craig Whyte can be found not guilty; a good indication that Ashley would get off of any accusation of unlawful contracts etc.

16 Jun 2017 17:31:49
LDM just thinking that King and the Board have renegotiated the Merchandise Deal due to our spending. Its one of three things in my opinion. Change to Merch Deal, new investment or King just like he said had funds of around £30m when he first arrived and he now intends to spend it on Players. Season Ticket money has prob been used but money to pay wages (players and staff) Stadium up keep, expenditure on security on match days etc.
Season Ticket money alone could definitely not cover all these areas especially when the combination of just the Transfer Fees come to around £8-9m.
Apparently the income generated from Merchandise is usually something between £6-8m.
BUT could be way off and the finances could be coming from the men currently at Ibrox 100%.

16 Jun 2017 19:04:39
The money can't have come from 'new investment'as the motion to offer shares to new investers was voted down at the AGM last year. As there has been no new share issue then current shareholders haven't invested in the club either. Loans etc from the directors can not be classed as investment either, until such time as they may be converted to shares.

17 Jun 2017 08:44:38
Rafbob

I think it could go either way in court and I'm not so sure the contract is as water tight as you think. You just never know how these things can go and it would be better if we some how managed to sort things out of court. Fair play to King though for taking on the contemptible Ashley. This guy gets his own way for too much and his business practices are truly despicable

17 Jun 2017 09:41:30
Bengy,

I would happily jump in your boat and see Ashley's contract torn up, but I can't see that happening soon.

Hopefully you're right. 👍

16 Jun 2017 13:14:00
I'm a the only one who's getting a wee bit concerned that the deals for pena and Herrera having been done yet isn't there a deadline on monday.

16 Jun 2017 15:52:37
It's only for the first round of qualifiers - the rest of the squad should surely be capable of getting through it without them! Plus, if there was a sniff of them not signing the Scottish press would be having a field day with it. They will be with us soon.

16 Jun 2017 11:15:06
West Ham just released left back Stephen Hendrie. From Glasgow, 22, supposed to be a promising prospect, would be a cracking signing on a free transfer imo. Thoughts?

16 Jun 2017 11:35:33
West ham, released, free transfer.
You sure it's a good prospect?

16 Jun 2017 11:44:29
Done ok at hamilton got his big move to west ham but not what rangers need

16 Jun 2017 14:46:35
Fair play. I think he's better than Hodson, and would be a very good backup to Wallace.

16 Jun 2017 16:03:48
You think he's better than the International player in Hodson, based on what evidence?

16 Jun 2017 16:47:11
I've seen both. Hodson's better. That's why west Ham released the boy. It's probably up the road to Partick for him.

16 Jun 2017 17:19:20
BluelsTheColour, would stick with Beerman all day long as a back up to Wallace.

New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Rab C - your jiro

16 Jun 2017 07:41:03
5-0 win in the friendly against Coleraine. Apparently Kranjcar was different class. He could be an important player if he stays fit even if he doesn't complete 90 minutes all the time. And I see young Hardie scored in the friendly. Got to give him a run in the first team squad surely.

16 Jun 2017 09:26:05
You don't get a run in a squad. He'll not be making the first eleven any time soon, so a loan deal at a decent level would suit everyone better.

16 Jun 2017 09:33:28
MOH also scored from right back, not an indicator of much imo! Hardie is never getting a game when we Herrera, Morelos, Miller, Waghorn and Garner still a Rangers player!

16 Jun 2017 09:35:02
And Dodoo!

16 Jun 2017 10:29:25
Nice to see the positive attitude towards our youngsters persists. Hardie has got to be better than the useless Waghorn and Garner. What do we do, loan him out forever? Injuries do happen and having Hardie at the club as back up is important.

16 Jun 2017 11:12:48
DOIGER we all want to see the youngsters do well but he didn't set the Scottish Championship ablaze last year so doubt he'd be doing it for us this year. Anyway, he's fifth choice at best so even if PC plays 2 up top he's not going to be playing much!

16 Jun 2017 12:30:26
Hardie is a better finisher than both waghorn and garner and should be in the squad as back up

16 Jun 2017 12:57:40
better having hardie out on loan and playing that sitting on the bench and playing development footy. Hopefully he could play at a higher level as in Top championship or bottom premiership club. If not maybe send him down south for a loan.

16 Jun 2017 12:59:55
Ffs it was coleraine they were playing against. Part time Irish league side

16 Jun 2017 13:42:30
What an idiotic argument, DOIGER. There will be young players involved because they are at that level or very close to it, kids like Bargonas, Beerman, Bates and a couple of others. Hardie is miles away, have you ever actually seen him? He was below average last season in the Championship! Has he all of a sudden improved by about 200%? The only negativity here is your incessant whining about one boy whern there will be at least five figuring in the first team squad next season.

16 Jun 2017 14:08:46
wee-ecky. What does the 'wee' refer to? I wonder. But lowering the tone of a free debate is crass. I am entitled to my opinion just as you are. Having suffered watching Waghorn and Garner and their pathetic efforts in front of goal Hardie I'm sure couldn't do worse. I accept that the new signings are ahead of him in the pecking order. I hope for Pedro's sake that the new boys do the business. Why have you got to be about 24 years old to be allowed to play in the first team.

16 Jun 2017 14:39:30
I wonder what Pedro is thinking in regards to playing O'halloran at RB? By all accounts I thought he was off but using him in a pre-season game and especially at RB does throw me.
Surely he can't be thinking of actually trying to convert him?
Im really hoping that we have Clubs lined up for players to go on loan if we cannot move them on and I thought O'halloran would prob be one of yhe most difficult as we paid 500k for him and is prob on wages he won't get in a league he may end up in. So we would be taking a hit in the Transfer Fee and may need to pay him X amount regarding loss of earnings. Frustrating as he did look promising and maybe a loan move could benefit all parties?
Regarding the other players who are not in Pedro's plans OR guys like Rudden Diamond even Dodoo should be used on loan to get in a young player like Knox. We could even let Livingston keep him for the Season and develop

16 Jun 2017 14:52:42
Andy. I would think that he played MOH there so that Tav didn't need to play the whole 90 mins. Hodson has only come back from Int duty and was no doubt being rested.

16 Jun 2017 16:34:05
Yeah Parky but I would have just thought that using an Aiden Wilson or another up and coming player who holds that position. Prob nothing in it.
Wonder if there was anybody watching the game from Clubs poss interested in taking players on loan?

16 Jun 2017 17:01:47
Hardie was below average last season? He was raiths best player and that's coming from raith fans. For whatever reason Hughes didn't fancy him but whenever he played he scored. he's a natural goalscorer. I don't know if he's ready for first team or not but with morelos and Herrera coming in and Miller likely to take a back seat I'd have Hardie before Waghorn and garner any day as he surely can't be any worse and at least he's young and Scottish with a bit of sell on value of he improves.

15 Jun 2017 23:37:30
Could we not give Norwich what they want for Dorrans and use the money we are offering for walker and then wait to get him for nothing when his contract runs out.

16 Jun 2017 12:37:10
Honestly Bears, I really hope that we stop Transfer Negotiations with Hearts. Walker is a good player and a bid of 500k was fair. To then go back in with 650k and again get knocked back is shocking. Like I said Walker Iis good but is he the difference between qualifying to Group Stages and not?
Excactly how many games can you see him playing not just in Europe but in all Competitions in the next 3 months?
We should walk away and return in Jan with a 200-300k bid.
The only other bid I would want to see us do is cash plus Player, BUT again I would still hold off until Jan. Could even do a loan deal for one of our youngsyrrs as they need games at a better level than Championship.
Who else agrees that this is the way to go and our squad with Pena Jack and Dorrans hopefully can cope very well without Walker and going bak in for him in Jan is the best thing to do.

15 Jun 2017 23:37:01
Are the strips they wore at todays friendly the new 32 red strips for next season? Or is that last seasons strip? Yet to see any new signing wear the new strip if there even is one.

16 Jun 2017 07:30:01
Still last seasons mate
