Maybe Rangers are waiting till mcinnes goes out in the betting, then get someone to put a wad on him becoming Rangers manager, Rangers then appoint him manager. Boom compensation to Aberdeen paid by the winnings👍.

17 Nov 2017 01:59:42
good plan

17 Nov 2017 09:48:44
Sake Goph! You've ruined it now!

17 Nov 2017 11:34:46
I don't think most of our daft board have the brains to think of this😂😂

17 Nov 2017 13:16:04
I assume this is a joke but they would be prosecuted if they did this

17 Nov 2017 13:52:42
Huey, man! Goph, our board consists of very successful businessmen, who built they're wealth by being clever, not dsft

{Ed's Note - we have posted a new article entitled, The Plane to Russia - An England perspective

I have a couple of theories on why the board are taking their time in naming the new manager.

1. May be they have liked what they have seen from Murty and want to give him more time to see how he copes against Aberdeen and Celtic, he seems to have the backing of the dressing room and may be with another few games under his belt he will actually want the job.

2. Is it a ploy to get Aberdeen to lower their demands for McInnes? McInnes will jump at the chance and Aberdeen know that, so by the media presenting all these names as people interested in the role then the Dons board may lower their compensation demands as they don't want to have a manager who wants to be elsewhere.

My preference is still Pardew / Murty but I also like the idea of giving Murty time to settle more into the role and having the desire to take the top job.

16 Nov 2017 16:06:59
The board need to make the right appointment and also to be taken into consideration is the January transfer window with regards to finishing in the top two this season.

16 Nov 2017 17:59:57
The board must get this right and they obviously don't want mcinnes or they would have made contact by now imo. see bcos all the media are saying gers should get mcinnes in. maybe that's a reason why the board won't go for him. ie they will do it there own way. another thing I was thinking we don't need a manager. we need a coach. or there's no point in having Marc Allan as dof so maybe keeping murty to see how he gets on over the next 5/ 6 games might not be a bad thing but this is only my opinion

16 Nov 2017 12:32:54
Haven't been jumping for joy tbh with the candidates for the managers job but if we are to go left field again then I feel the latest name (Berg) is worth a shout.

16 Nov 2017 13:49:55
Here we go again,
Tommy

16 Nov 2017 14:01:51
Not everyone has to agree with u Tommy53

It’s a banter site not the Tommy53 everyone has to agree with me site

16 Nov 2017 18:01:41
Agreed

17 Nov 2017 10:07:46
Disagree with you there
Tommy, I was simply meaning we don't know who is on the candidate list
Tommy

17 Nov 2017 10:11:50
Cletusvandamme, Berg worth a shout, sacked last 4 manager jobs?

16 Nov 2017 09:31:55
Guys, the longer this drags on do you think McInnes would want the job. What do you think is going through his mind just now.

If the board had wanted him it would
have been done and dusted by now, forget about the compensation that is not an issue.

I think GVB or DeBoer are the men and Murty whoever gets it should be the No.2.

16 Nov 2017 10:54:24
id still want mcinnes and will be angry if that's not who is put in charge and i would like it done before the games against aberdeen

16 Nov 2017 12:03:09
They will take as long as it takes to get the right guy, don't you understand that? And whoever comes in will choose their own no.2,
Tommy

16 Nov 2017 12:40:42
we do understand that tommy we can read u know but we are allowed to want it done faster.
mainly because i want mcinnes to have us playing better by the time the game against the sheep comes

16 Nov 2017 13:49:42
Surely pulling a list of candidates can’t be the hold up.

Is it lack of funds? Is due to DKs court case or age? Are we having a rights issue sometime soon to release some money?

Even the SFA managed to identify their no. 1 target before we have. The wait now is way too long.

16 Nov 2017 13:51:41
Yes, but do you have to post about it every 10 mins?

16 Nov 2017 18:06:25
I agreed ped11 the silence is doing my head in. see if king and co get this appointment wrong for a 3rd time my anger will turn to the board

17 Nov 2017 13:55:49
Don't let it do your head in mate, there are lots of other things to be Worrying about, the manager will be there soon enough maybe they already have one

Tommy

16 Nov 2017 09:08:35
I was at the u20s game against Berwick last night and I'm sorry but I just don't see what Herrera brings to the team? We were just playing with him up top, but he just didn't seem to do anything of note. Think we could've been better sticking with Garner over him.
The wee man Atakyi looks like he could be a player though with some development, took his goal well.

16 Nov 2017 10:02:11
I’ve been dying for Atakayi to get a chance, Murty will be the best judge for that however! Is his best position right side or could he play both wings?

16 Nov 2017 11:27:31
He seems quite comfortable on either side. I think he started on the left with Nemane on the right but they switched it up every so often

16 Nov 2017 12:04:07
Why are you sorry?
Tommy

16 Nov 2017 09:05:28
That's it we've waited long enough, to long in my opinion let's get a manager in ASAP. Please. The longer this goes on the more chance of another big mistake being made. So come on board do your job and get your choice in now.

16 Nov 2017 10:45:03
So the best way to avoid a mistake is to rush it and make the decision now?

You better get on the phone and tell the board Robbie, before they start looking at different candidates as well!

16 Nov 2017 10:57:54
dont understand your thinking mate!
the more time they take to make sure they get it right means they will more likely get it wrong

16 Nov 2017 07:48:52
Going to be in London for the shaggers game on the 3rd of December and looking for a Gers friendly boozer to watch it. Any recommendations?

16 Nov 2017 11:27:41
The White Bear in Farringdon, although haven't been in a while so not sure if its still a Rangers bar.

16 Nov 2017 12:10:59
What about the" we are a Rangers pub, nobody can use this pub unless they support Rangers, Glasgow Rangers 🙌, " that's a good Rangers pub

16 Nov 2017 07:39:22
So Henning Berg is the latest name to be touted.
Been reading the posts from everybody and he seems to tick all the boxes people have been wanting
Knows the British game
Ex player
Has the name to attract players
Knows the European game
Won trophies
Hammered that lot

16 Nov 2017 08:27:57
Interesting option, I remember he had Legia Warsaw competing well above their level a few years ago.

16 Nov 2017 08:29:21
yeah read that this morning has a good record has grit has determination has balls could be a good appointment would be happy with him, gio, graham potter' murty would like to see him as an assistant but to who?

16 Nov 2017 10:09:53
The more I think about it Henning Berg is exactly the type of profile that should be on a dilligent shortlist. I’m not saying that he should definitely be the choice but if you are going to be professional and have a variety of choices from all sorts of backgrounds then make an informed choice probably after meetings with the potential candidates. I also believe Derek McInnes should definitely be considered but for me I’d rather look elsewhere.

16 Nov 2017 12:17:01
When will people understand that managers bring they're own assistance, you don't get to choose, and you don't have a clue about they're job
Tommy

16 Nov 2017 13:03:23
erm tommy what are you on about? all i said was i would like murty as an assistant and whoever comes in could use murty as an assistant if they wanted to we don't have to employ a double act.

16 Nov 2017 13:55:31
Apologies Brian, just meant to say some people advocate manager, then assistants, they will bring they're own
Tommy

16 Nov 2017 15:44:14
Berg managed Legia Warsaw to the Polish league one season and the Polish cup the next. Not exactly a thrilling managerial record is it? Great player though.
