Just seen the Lee Wallace press conference there. What a great character to have as our captain. Expressing his continued desire to help our great club back to the top flight in Scottish football, sacrificing his international opertunities in the process. That's a true rangers man. I take my hat off to you Sir.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

scott allan says reports of his support of rangers was exaggerated

Believable5 Unbelievable4

17 Aug 2015 17:44:40
they only became exaggerated when celtic stepped in good luck to the booy he will need it and statements like that will only cause him grief at a later date

17 Aug 2015 20:22:12
The guy is trying anthing to justify his decision I mean its a bad day when keith Jackson has a go he has to live with it crying about so called friend's wanting nothing to do with him, all he is doing is trying to get accepted by them, let's leave him and get on to talking about our team and big nathan keep up the tricks magic son.

Agree4 Disagree1

17 Aug 2015 22:53:14
Hahahaha as scott allan said it was FOOTBALLING RESONS he went to celtic ok hibs were not eva accepting your offer and he knocked bk rotherham that proof he was only destined for one place european football league titles possible trebles and the chance to progress his carear also give the lad a break ok aye he might be a rangers bhoy but he has to look zfter himself and his future as 1 of your own wish him well if not no worries the CELTIC FAMILY WILL WELCOME AND SUPPORT HIM as we say 'YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE ' hh

Possible trebles - too many shandys for that bhoy! lol

Agree2 Disagree1

18 Aug 2015 08:58:42
i completely understand his decision. If we were the old Rangers and competing for the SPL and Europe then it would be a kick in the teeth but we have to be honest and for the next few seasons we are not at the same level as Celtic. I do believe that he wanted to sign for us and if anyone but Celtic made the offer he wouldn't have went

Would have to move quickly.
Hibs are reported to be interested in him.

Was thinking the same, could be a bargain but we seem to have enough cover in the LW/CAM positions

17 Aug 2015 17:00:36
So Newcastle are offloading Haris Vuckic and been linked with Rangers and Antalyspor of Turkey

Rangers can get him practically for nothing if they are willing to pay his weekly wages of Β£5, 500!

You heard it here

Believable1 Unbelievable1

17 Aug 2015 18:44:23
Not convinced by him, couple of good games then he was pretty mediocre in a very mediocre team. Perhaps MW will get the best out of him if interested.

Hope we do get May as he has previously proven himself in Scotland is still young with bags of potential. Think he will be a great number 9 for us and will easily get 20+ goals.

what about him? Warburton said he only wants people who want to play for the club and this man couldn't get out of the club quick enough when the club needed him most. We don't need guys like him at our club

Agree4 Disagree1

18 Aug 2015 14:41:07
Girafferty was a disgrace. Do you remember his antics against Aberdeen at Ibrox when he went down after being 'headbutted'? I haven't cringed as much as that in a long time.

Another dyed in the wool bluenose who took the money and ran. Signing him would be a massive backwards step.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Aug 2015 16:24:16
A lot of people don't seem to rate/want vučkic here although I totally disagree. Last year he was a class above for 75% of the matches he played and I believe the main reason for that not being 100% was a lack of match fitness given his lack of opportunity at Newcastle. He isn't the quickest, granted, but that is something that can be improved upon to an extent and will come somewhat given match fitness.
I think he'd be a great signing to get for cheap and, at only 22, would have great sell on value should the move not work or we need cash. Plus he seems to have loved his time last year and showed glimpses of genius and passion for the club.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

17 Aug 2015 18:40:49
Would be good to have on board as long as there is no fee involved.

Definitely worth a punt but don't be surprised if he doesn't make the same impact as this is a way better Rangers team!

The one thing I've noticed about Waburtons loan signings are that most have only a year left on their contracts at their parent club, is Warburtons idea to offer one or two of them a contract next year? Just a thought.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

17 Aug 2015 16:26:23

Agree0 Disagree1

17 Aug 2015 16:42:54
Pretty sure the boys from tottenham have more than a year left? Especially the oduwa who is highly rated down there.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Aug 2015 16:52:44
if that is the case then it would be some very shrewd and clever business by MW. The player / players show what they can offer during the loan spell and then the gaffer decides if he wants them on a permanent or not. Can't see why Spurs wouldn't want to keep and develop Oduwa though! . Would be surprised if they just let him leave

Hearing a lot of Harris vuckic talk. Would be more than happy but still think we need a striker

Believable2 Unbelievable1

17 Aug 2015 14:11:34
He could play as a striker no problem. with two wingers supplying him he would be dynamite. He could also drop deep into midfield if required. The only draw back is his pace.

Does anyone know what happened to Jordan Thompson? One minute he was apart of the 1st team. Now I can't find anything about him on the website! All the other signings we got are added to the first team listings but Thompson isn't there at all and nor is young Lang added to the U20's?

Thanks both. I guess they are still deciding which squad to add him into then. Just found it strange the the younger players we added weren't uploaded onto the official website when Tavs, Kiernan, Holt, Waghorn & Halliday were added within a few weeks.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

17 Aug 2015 11:05:49
Agree 100%. I wouldn't worry what other teams say as long as we are being entertained. It's the same small minded attitude that stopped young harper being picked for Scotland apparently he is a luxury player! If he had done it in the epl it would of been on sky sports for the next week. But in Scotland he is being sagged off. Well I say carry on young man

Agree6 Disagree0

17 Aug 2015 11:41:28
Oduwa was having his first game for RFC and was just enjoying the moment. Not the first time this has happened and definitely not the last.

What I get out of this type of display from him and the rest of the team is the sheer enjoyment they seem to be having.
It really is a breath of fresh air, so it is. It is like wakening up from a nightmare where all the bad things that have been foisted upon our great club have been lifted and we can see the light again - what a complete difference from the past three years.

However the negative press seems to be continuing. Like the BBC they seem to want to concentrate on the bad things, and even when a young lad is showing off with some trickery they make it seem like he has been red carded for a bad tackle.
But mind you we are still the greatest and best supported club in the land so it would seem that it will always be this way and try to belittle the biggest club.

Agree5 Disagree0

17 Aug 2015 15:22:06
Neither the Scottish public or the Scottish press are used to skill like that and in good old Scottish tradition hit out at it and complain. Do you really expect anything else?

It would appear that some people are happy to sit and watch mediocrity (at best) and not be entertained by moments of genuine skill.

It begs the question: Where does skill end and disrespect begin? If he had nutmegged him would that have been disrespectful? If Rangers scored had 10 or 11 would that have been disrespectful?

To my mind taking the foot off the pedal and cruising is more disrespectful both to the opposition and the paying customers who come to watch.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Aug 2015 16:32:22
If a Rangers player had said what Hamilton said there would have been a public outcry. The BBC would have made a documentary out of it with that specky guy creeping about Ibrox talking rubbish about our players and their tactics.

Instead of Hamilton being condemned for threatening behaviour he is the main headline in most Scottish papers - it really is ridiculous, so it is. It is one of the strangest stories I have ever come across in media history. If this story does not highlight the fact that The Famous Glasgow Rangers by the Scottish Media, then nothing will. For close on four years now RFC have been a target for all and sundry, especially the BBC to have a negative pop at RFC. They have no shame.

In my opinion Hamilton should have been fined by his club and sanctioned by the SFA and / or the SPFL for threatening behaviour and bringing the game into disrepute.

But we, supporters of The Famous Glasgow Rangers are used to this sort of attack. Ceptic are always on about us being favoured and us in tow with the establishment. If ever I hear one of them talking about us in that way I can give them chapter abd verse, so I can.

17 Aug 2015 09:26:50
Only in Scotland do we get players moaning because some players try to showboat and be tricky, it is supposed to be entertaining!

Think someone needs a word in Colin Hamilton's ear, wonder if this kind of threatening ''others might not let him away with it'' talk had came from a Rangers player what reaction there may have been from certain areas.

Agree0 Disagree3

17 Aug 2015 16:09:39
So why didn't you comment on that thread dunder? Just focus on your own club 5 days ago your fans were screaming and greeting about a draw with kilmarnock, needing a striker, a left back, a centre back, 6 million pound players etc. Celtic sign Scott Allan and all is forgotten.

Agree1 Disagree1

17 Aug 2015 16:38:57
Cee. You have to realise that in Scotland a skilful player has been someone who has the ability to put an opponent six feet in the air or hit a patch of dirt from 60 yards anything else is showing off. Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Aug 2015 22:35:02
Who was screaming and greeting about drawing with Kilmarnock?? Why would we do that! 5 in a rows in the bag cee! Lol.and I've stated many a time Allan will be no more than a squad player! A squad player use would have gave your right arm for a few days ago! But now it's ok because Uve got 2 wee diddies from Spurs up here! Hahaha! It kills every one of use that scotty bhoy signed for the champs and he'll be part of the 5 in a row celebrations soon enough! And I've no doubt by the end of the window we'll have a few quality players on board! Just in time for CL! Not some Wigan rejects and young boys who probably don't even know what Spurs 1st team training pitches look like! So the only thing am greetin with is laughter at some of the belters on here! Oh how I would love for the champs to get your mob in a cup! To run right over the top of your rejects and Spurs school boys! With Scotty bhoy on the score sheet! Please let it happen!! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

Those criticising King and saying 'where is his money?' should shut up. Getting all these new players in including loan players costs money in wages. Do we really want to go back to the blank cheque days of Advocaat and Murray et al?

I do not get where all this DK is not showing the money nonsense is coming from.
MW said himself the board have been fantastic every player he has wanted they have have got them.
Exception being SA, Hibs were never going to sell him to us and it was not the bid that prevented him signing it was Hibs.
His jumping at chance to go to Sellick instead of waiting till January says more about him than DK or the board.
