Cant believe so many of you siding with the board against ally. Ok he can't manage a team, we all know that, but surely there is more to this than him just wanting more money.

Shame on you

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He can't manage the team he's greedy and been in more camps than geronimo what more is there to say he is a washout

Agree0 Disagree0

SG 75
Most people are against Ally on here as he is the manager who can't do his job. Why would any fan support someone who is taking huge amounts of money out of the club when he can't do his job?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2014 09:19:58
Maybe its his way of forcing the board out, the fans starving them of money with boycotts whilst he takes it off them eh!
r. f

Agree0 Disagree0

SG - "he can't manage a team" eh should that not be the principle criteria of being a manager?

he should have been sacked before he resigned, but as we see now, we could not afford it

After 3 years of having to accept the pishgoingon around Rangers today was final straw for me I will never go to a Rangers game again until thre three stooges have gone we will not be promoted unless by a fluke in a fixed playoff match with refs help. He will be sacked then. I dread the celtic game with these clueless muppets in charge. Honestly I am now hoping 2nd Admin and start again this time with honest businessmen, a tight budget and a football manager with coaches that are tactically aware. I feel so sorry for the most loyal fans that through extreme loyalty will continue going to watch this pathetic excuse for football. merry Xmas and Happy New Year though that is now tainted by mccoist and muppets still there. See you in 2016/17 with I hope the board and manager we should have at a team like Rangers. . gutted and sick to death seeing mccoist anywhere near my team. . george :- (

Believable0 Unbelievable0

George do not worry about the celtic game. if rangers get beat, they get beat. it may actually help the situation and speed up change. Just enjoy the game. i'd advise you watch it with people you know and are friends with who are celtic fans. If you get beat take the slagging. If you can't take it then ultimately what's the point.
love your team, desperately want them to win. Enjoy your day weather they do or they don't. Alternatively get wound up and stressed and angry and bitter and maybe say things to other people that make you look bitter and small minded.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree will never be back till the joker we call a manager has well and truly gone. Can't even play half our players in there correct positions. And I would NEVER have our goalie any where near our team better playing a cardboard cut out!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Chuck u forgot about mosni foster aird and the rest

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry bigwull just wish mccoist would forget about them too

Hi Bears

I've got my crystal ball out, here is how iI see Saturday going. Everyone in defence playing out of position except the goalie n moshni with big jig the slowing up midfielder playing along side him, our best centre half at right back and our right back at left back, with a left back on the bench. No wonder we leak goals against any semblence of an attack.
In midfield we have no creativity at at which won't matter as the ball will mostly be soaring above their heads! Fraser Aird on the wrong wing on his Wong foot so everyone n their gran knows he has to cut in.
Big Daly up front getting high baws launched at him all game with a choice of aging strikes trying to feed off him.
Now people don't be calling me Claire Voyant now lol

17 Dec 2014 20:30:21
RM Gers, take it you won't be having a punt on us at 1/6 on Saturday mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Soon bear, anybody thets has a bet on anything with those odds (football, horse racing )any sport, them odds are trying to buy money, and it never stoats,

Agree0 Disagree0

Soton Bear

I'm afraid they done me last friday at 8/13 n anyone who bets Rangers against anyone just now are quite mad, 1/6 to beat livingaton they should be 4/6 lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Rm, the way they are playing the odds should be 6/4,

maybe mccoist was offered a pay off but the stumbling block was he was not willing to sign confidentially agreements
to stay quiet like all the previous people that been at our club so the board are now left with no opinion but to let him continue till his contract runs out mccoist will have lots to say and they will want keep him silent

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Dec 2014 20:13:19
Craigs8688: What type of stuff do you think they want him to stay silent about pal?

Agree0 Disagree0

More like he did not accept the offer and wants the full 750k

He probably knows as much as bomber pfftt

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

I want to agree with you Craig, I believe ally offered a cheaper pay off but would not sign a gagging order so no deal.

He holds all the cards he can run down the clock on full pay then speak out or they pay him off for a bit less but can't stop him from speaking out. He knows where the bodies are buried and more. I think the redundacies were the last straw, I am not excusing his performance as manager which is worthy of the sack but I do believe he is one of the few gets men left!

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 21:14:58
trust me mate there will be plenty skeletons hidden that they do not want to come back and bite them and mccoist will no where they are hidden he has been there from the start and maybe till the end if things keep going the way they are what other club in the land would let a manager half way threw a season stay on even though he has resigned the excuse for having no money is just that a excuse they have got money to get rid of everyone else they do not want so sure they could get funds together again we will find out soon a suppose but our team will suffer as a result of this stupid decision no other club would allow this to happen ally needs to go now and take everyone from boardroom way him

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 21:52:21
I was looking for specifics mate, maybe he's got a bit a dirt on Green/Whyte etc but they're away and probably going to court.I'm in no way defending him,you know my views on him and the board.I'm trying to think myself what he knows that won't be public knowledge soon enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 what about the million dollar question that everybody seems to have pushed aside. WHOSE NAME IS ON THE DEEDS. ally must know this. IMO this is the biggest thing they are trying to hide. personally I think it's whyte.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 23:52:45
no to sure about green away mate I still believe he is pulling some strings behind the scenes yeh I think we all no most peoples thoughts on mccoist he ain't a manager yet board seam oblivious to this the question I would ask is why they think he should still be the manager and above is my answer to that no doubt there will be more bad news soon anuf seems a daily routine at our club

Agree0 Disagree0

IF and it is a big IF McCoist is the great Rangers man that everyone keeps saying he is then he SHOULD have walked out the door and told the whole world what was going on and forget the money. he is a wealthy man, he never needs to work again and you can bet a pound to a penny it wouldn't be long before he was either with the Scotland squad or on the tv as an "expert" pundit. I can't see how people think him staying, taking a huge pay rise, and not doing the decent thing is acceptable. The fans want him out and yet he ignores the very people who portray him as Mr Rangers. sorry but that to me is him taking the fans for a ride, albeit a very expensive ride.

What chance ally motivating this team now when they know he is just seeing out his notice, what a shambles, ally should have walked took them to a tribunal what ever he's is doing himself no favours, he needs guidance and is not getting it, Walter should have a word in his ear or somebody he respects. We need a new manager in now who can hopefully get this team playing and able to identify players we need when we clear this lot out. To say I am disgusted with this is an understatement. How naive of the board if they think keeping ally will bring the crowds back, where's Ashley in all this, supposed a shrewd business man can't he see what's going on here, unless this suits his agenda. Love to know what the guys up to.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

From what I understand Walter is supporting ally and representing him on discussions with the board,

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2014 10:46:40
Was Walter Smith with him yesterday at Ibrox? He is representing him?I never knew that mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP: "ally should have walked took them to a tribunal".

Based on what? If a guy resigns from his job and walks away. what have the company he works for done wrong? It wouldn't be anywhere near being a case of unfair dismissal, more like a case of sour grapes.
Maybe the board should take Ally to a tribunal for masquerading as a football manager all these years.

17 Dec 2014 17:34:32
well ed that's the last straw for me I had stopped going because macoist went back and now this fiasco we have given payoffs to all kinds scroungers and robbers and when it comes to the one that matters they bottle it if he was any fing. good it might be different don't they realise that macoist is probably the biggest reason attendances have slumped and after this they will be an even bigger slump I had taken the view dinsdale and doug were not to blame for the past fraudulent management I also said they were not the brightest they had a chance to gain some semblance respect from supporters this will probably go down as the woest ever decision made by any rangers board total imbiciles I will never be back until the whole lot of them have been ousted they have given in to what is tantamont to blacmail from macoist some asked last week if was a legend or a leach now u know the answer

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Dec 2014 17:08:41
Well well well, it is now apparently clear that our board do not have the ability to come up with a financial package to end Mcoist reign and therefore stuck with him for 12 months. Is this because we have no cash or that their dividends will pay out less.

So will Ally ever come out and say he would have went for less but nothing was offered, no he knew what he was doing, playing poker knowing what cards the dealer had. Blackmail, that what I call it.

looks like Ally wil better of as presenter of the following TV programmes

Call my bluff
would I lie to you
dodgy dealers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Or what about the One Show, because the way things are heading he will be the only one left at Ibrox

Agree0 Disagree0

Royal blue. Yip mate ally is the last man with any association with our club, I often wonder who will be most pleased with that,

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 16:50:59
After todays decision I am well and truly finished. This is the final straw for me and any credibility we had. Good luck to those that will continue to go to games, but the whole thing is a sham. Cheers lad, I enjoyed the bit of banter, but time to hang up the boots.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Dec 2014 17:06:36
well to me todays decision is a game of bluff between easdale and mc coist to see who is going to cave in first and to me ally has took on more than he can handle when the bad results keep coming he won't be able to handle the pressure ,for his sake and gers he should have walked today ,he doesn't need the money does he as he never really reads contacts doug t.so.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm completely numb, the only people happy tonight will be McCoist, McDowell, Durrant, and every team in Scotland and their fans. But thousands and thousands of Rangers fans around the world will be sitting gutted, shafted again, to all the ally lover's out there I really hope you enjoy the rest of the season, because it's going to be a long one.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 17:20:20
Its embarrasing times we r a laughing stock!cant say am surprised no deal can be met no money to offer a pay off we r stuck with what we have fair play to the guys still attending the games to watch that dross!!

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 17:28:31
was looking forward to a new manager and going back to ibrox not now, won't be back until he has gone

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 17:28:49
He is looking more like Somers every day wi the sneer on his bawheid, but seriously, how awkward is it going to be at Auchenhowie playing head tennis every day with him?I thought it was a cert he would go.He is better staying in the dugout oot the road at least if he won't go.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb & the rest of the guys, I too am truly finished with Ibrox till Ally BaBa & the rest of the thieves are gone! I was actually going to buy a half season ticket, but that is oot the windae! Football must be the only job where failure & incompetence are rewarded. If I handed in my notice, I would be escorted from the premises in case I caused any unrest, or cost the company money through damage to the product/service. This is exactly what Ally Baba is doing! Embarrassing doesn't nearly cover this fiasco!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 16:38:48
so looks like ally is staying at the club seen easdale getting it in the ear from a rangers fan on the bbc as he went in the stadium could not have put it better my self what she said to him good on her back to ally though if he is to stay we will be lucky to even get second so is a big mistake leaving him in charge

Believable0 Unbelievable0

As I have said on many occasions Ally is only interested in himself and not the club. He can't do the job but instead of holding his hands up he is determined to solider on even at the expense of the club. This man is no club legend but a man who has no shame and has been the worst manager in the history of a once great club

Agree0 Disagree0

Stevie. Although I don't think ally was ever good enough to be a good manager, and he has made himself a healthy lifestyle from our club, I still pass him as a club legend, the pleasure and titles that he gained us should never be in doubt imho

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 16:29:03
Hi Bears

Daily Record reporting that the master technician is staying as manager because no pay off could be sorted out. That will keep all the blind faith Ally fans happy, I just hope the board have budgeted for another season in the championship and that all the Ally superfans are on here still defending him when it happens.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

But as ally keeps telling us all he's fully focused on what he is doing, a while back my mate was in a pub in houston when he came in, his comment on gers fans was half them can't read anyway this was in reference to his wages contract, what does it take to make this guy realise he can't cut it as a manager, finally I have watched gers since 1955 and I have seen and met REAL rangers men, but I gave up 2 years ago due to health problems and moving away from glasgow as I saw this all coming doug t. s. o

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you imagine how bad things would be in the premiership under Ally. Wonder how the pro Ally brigade would act when we are scrapping with the Ross County's and St Mirren's in the bottom 6? Not to mention losing to that mob on a regular basis. Things won't get any better until this man is replaced with someone who knows what they are doing. I still cannot believe some people still defend him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bigdimps, what exactly is a real rangers man?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2014 21:23:49
to the shark a real rangers man or en is guys like jimmy millar /ralph brand /billy ritchie that put the pride of playing for the jersey before the money side of things ,in the 50 s and 60 s rangers were full of players like that ,not all this crap like we should have a real rangers man like souness / gough / goram etc who were only there for the money side of things doug t.s.o

17 Dec 2014 16:17:13
Ssn, reporting Ally staying for now business as usual after meeting with board, there goes any hope of promotion even through the playoffs.

17 Dec 2014 11:27:19
Just a wee post to ask gers fan to go to the game on Saturday and get behind the team we need it let's try go 90 minutes for the team if they protest should be against the biased sfa not the club manager or board let's get to ibrox in big numbers show our support

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There should be protest against the sfa definetily but they never worked when we sang about it for the last 3year but apart from a few red cards up in the air I don't think we havve held a proper protest against the boardt. Just my opinion. But I would encourage a massive protest against thee clueless guy on the touchline

Agree0 Disagree0

Protest against the SFA?!? Why? Is this the same SFA who broke their own rules to grant Rangers a licence? Same SFA who broke their own rules to allow Ashley to own shares in Rangers? The footballing authorities have bent over backwards to assist Rangers over recent years and still getting it in the neck from mis-guided mugs such as you instead of going after the real villains!
Try going after the board, including convicted crook, Dave King, another crook, Ally McCoist, criminal football manager! There hasn't been an honest person in charge at Rangers board level since pre David Murray!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - The SFA did not break their own rules to allow Ashley to own shares in Rangers, they have an article which states that dual ownership is allowed with prior written consent, this has been done so I dont see where the rule break is there? They also did not break any rules to grant Rangers a licence as they were ill prepared for such a scenario like the Rangers one)

Scott87 I cannot see u getting much support for your post after this days actions

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed in complete agreement coming your way from me in responce to post two

Agree0 Disagree0

But Article 13. 1 of the SFA Articles of Association state that no person involved in another club "has any power whatsoever to influence the management or administration of a club" without "prior written consent".
Only prob I having ED is can't find anyone stating Ashley has given prior written consent hence why SFA
Earlier this week Rangers and Ashley were hit with two charges of breaching the governing body's rules while, as a club, Rangers face a third charge relating to Disciplinary Rule 1 where clubs must behave with 'utmost good faith' towards the SFA and other members. Any info, or copies of written notice?

Well we now know that Steve Clarke will not be our next manager with appointment at Reading, with that in mind I hope that none of the 1st four in the bookies betting (Davies, McCall, Butcher, or Gattuso )are the men to take us forward, all to much like what we have at the moment, surely there are better qualified candidates out there that could get the best out of our 53 squad players and ship the rest. I read on here the other day someone suggest Eddie Howe of Bournemouth, what a great shout but whether he would give up the chance of taking them to the premiership is another matter, hopefully the muddy waters will become a little clearer after Allys meeting with the board today I fear if Ally does stay that even promotion through the playoffs will be beyond us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Eddie howe is a very good manager, as Well as Karl Robinson although both have jobs and not rangers men so most of the fans would dismiss them anyway lol. We will and up with lee mcculloch as boss.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi soton bear, that was my shout, think he would do a great job. he operates in that market that we find ourselves in just now, and knows if he develops the players / club then there is no limit for himself or the club in the future. also got a feeling we wouldn't have to pay him 800 000 a year for his services. why not try something new, which we should have done 3 years ago ( but that's another story ) only snag would be compensation, but who knows if that would be a problem to ashley or who ever may be pulling the strings just now or the future!!

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 12:06:14
Another stumbling block with young Eddie Howe would be wages even at a small club like Bournemouth he is on 750,000 a year has signed a three and a half year contract + they paid Burnley 1.4m in compensation. i'm afraid to rich for us unfortunately. Also please God not Jig.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gordon Ramsay all the way! At least for the post match interviews!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bobby williamson anyone lol?

Agree0 Disagree0

4) I agree, bet the pies would be better

Agree0 Disagree0

By the looks of things in the media it will be billy davis and as ihave posted if given a choice I would not want him but if he gets the job I would give him a chance whch anyone apponted deserves

Agree0 Disagree0

@5, just had some flashback there

went to see Angola v Uganda in 2011, there were only two Scotsmen, me n Bobby, in a packed 50,000 stadium

Someone with no connection for me come in and sort out the squad with no loyalty to the present squads defo not bobby Williamson for me!i agree sm not keen in billy Davies but he's in the running so if given the job he deserves the chance of all the fans but I woujd rather the opted for someone else!

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 15:05:46
Whats the point anymore? The clubs in the grips of greed. There is no investment coming, the TV money is being witheld, the club are puting out stupid statements mis-spelling the managers name and using the stock exchange statements to direct anger away from them on to McCoist. We are even less compliant than ever to rules and regulations. The stadium is empty for home games. We will sell our best players in January, the money will pay offer loans to Ashley and debts. We will have manager come in and be told what team to pick. This board don't want a manager they want a puppet. Wake up and smell the coffee fellow fans, stop glamouring in the past this club is not the one we grew up supporting is a very poorly managed tribute. I would rather the whole thing fold than see the name and history tarnished further. We are the embaressment of world football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy Davis not for me I would like someone in the Souness mould come in and kick some arses as this team should be hanging their heads in shame with some of their displays also someone who will stand up to the board so no ex players for me and I truly hope Ally does not stay quiet we the fans deserve to know what is going on behind the scenes

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - The current regime would not let Souness anywhere near, and he would not work with them in the first place)

I personally would throw the job open to all applicants just to see who would be interested. It's obvious the ex-players route should probably be abandoned but as NothingButThe Struth says we don't want a yes-man to the board!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know why we all going on about who the future manager should be as we are stuck with Ally and nothing will change, we have no money, no future, no investors and soon no team or fans
Be honest if your had a career as a football manager would you leave a club to go to Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 17:22:16
Souness walked out on is once before anyway!as the ed says he wouldn't come anywhere near it

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right Cooperboy we need a manager that is going to kick a few arses and not be playing players just as an old pals act!! Also been reading reports about Karl Robinson the MK Dons manager giving youth a chance, working on low budgets and most importantly for me is he likes to play football the proper way, fast attacking football played on the ground, just the same as Ally then!! what does anyone think?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - The problem with manager like Karl Robinson is that they are in a job and compensation would need to be paid for gaffers who have a job)

Id rather have Ian holloway than billy Davies

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2014 00:23:56
Don't get so upset about rangers. in reality they are a company. they are 11 men kicking a ball for a wage. don't let yourself get too sucked in. THe sad part is that there are much more important injustices in the world. Become a true football fan first. support fair play. support children playing the game. support cheering the opposition. it is by far the best way. being a die hard is bad for your health. as is hatred for 11 other very similar men who are good at kicking leather. sorry to upset you. if I'm honest it really makes me laugh how upset people get about a game. this is learned behaviour. if you we're the only one getting upset you would feel stupid. because others get angry you learn that this is normal.
WAJP. We are just people.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Dec 2014 08:55:07
All very true mate, being a die hard fan can blind you to these other issues.Unfortunately this is what it is,its human nature. The world would be a better place if we all took your lead, but it doesn't work like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree shark. I had a season ticket for 5 seasons from 2000 on. At the time I was making 450 mile round trips for home games. Have not been to a game since. In all honesty it would not bother me if I never got to another game. I will always support the team but football comes well down my list of priorities.
