If the board and murty have any sense our midfield so far is Murphy, potentially hyndman, windass, Dorrans Jack, candeias and rossiter when fit. Windass won't go. His dad will tell him he needs one or two more good seasons before he gets a West ham or Everton. That's my hope lol. With Martin, Cummings and more SO FAR I'm more optimistic than I've ever been! Let Hearts have the traiter! We r stopping ten in a Row!

18 Jan 2018 05:57:54
Here here mate, let hearts sign that wee rat naismith! When you hurt the club and absolutely degrade it, the way he did, it hurts all the diehard supporters, the same way! Good riddance is what i say! Don't want you or need you! You made your bed!

Mate I think rossiter is finished, obv I hope he comes good but there is something seriously wrong there. Is there an expected date for him to return? I don't think a date was set, could be wrong though.

17 Jan 2018 21:23:48
Would fans view it as a good bit of business if we accept a 1M bid from Leeds for Windass and buy in Docherty for 650K?

17 Jan 2018 21:39:38
Yes great business Windass has came on to a game though would like him to stay, however I believe Docherty is a better more consistent player I’ve watched this boy from day dot he would be a great attribute!

17 Jan 2018 21:59:21
Id take it, i like windass but does go missing

17 Jan 2018 22:54:34
I would take it as I want docherty in the team, but ideally I would like windass to stay and get docherty. There has been a huge improvement in his game since murty put him through the middle. I think he could push on with better players round about him. 1mil to 1.5mil would be hard for us to turn down.

17 Jan 2018 23:01:13
That wouldn't be good business Imo. rather have Windass than Docherty.

18 Jan 2018 13:05:53
No, Keep windass. Get him signed up.

17 Jan 2018 20:17:34
I would rather they put the all the cash for Docherty think he would be a better signing than the boy from killie and Docherty would and more to the squad suppose we will just have to wait and see between now and the end of the window 🇬🇧🇬🇧

17 Jan 2018 20:28:40
Agreed. Give Hamilton the 650k and get Docherty signed up. We don't need Jones

17 Jan 2018 20:11:52
Seen we are linked with Hyndman again and although complete speculation is anyone else starting to worry that Dorrans and Jack are going to be out longer than we thought? With Halliday coming back in and signing goss and still a possible deal for Docherty! Seems like a lot of midfielders for 3 places

17 Jan 2018 20:41:05
I see mccrorie still not trained

17 Jan 2018 23:15:37
Bearing in mind we need 5 quality midfielders to deal with celtic :) peace

17 Jan 2018 19:51:16
If the figures being chucked about in the media are correct then why not walk away from the jones deal and use the money for Docherty and give Hamilton what they want! I would hate to miss out on this lad as the PL and championship clubs are already sniffing about him and think we could get 2-3 really years out of him then sell him for good money! Regarding jones I really don’t understand why we need him! We have just signed Murphy and we also have Windass and John who can play there! Cummins could also so think it’s a complete waste of money! Thoughts bears?

17 Jan 2018 20:03:48
Have to agree mate, would rather Docherty in to be honest and possibly Cadden from Motherwell who a fellow bear mentioned the other day, he would cover for Tav. Think we are well covered on the left which is where I believe Jones plays!

17 Jan 2018 19:23:40
I think we should walk away from Jones bids and instead bid Chris Cadden of Motherwell as I said earlier in the week it's cover on the right we need right-wing and rightback . Hearts bid 100k for him in the summer. what a cheek. lol

Plus I would sell Windows if Leeds do come in with a 7 fig. fee and use money to bring in Docherty and Cadden

17 Jan 2018 19:44:54
I agree that Cadden is quality, I think he would be a great addition for us and can play in a few positions. As for Docherty, I think we should put in a decent bid for him. I heard him being interviewed on Clyde last week. As well as having huge potential he comes across very well and seems to be a level headed guy. Get the boy signed up quick.

17 Jan 2018 20:05:49
Sorry JohnGreig78 I’ve just come in and said exactly what you have 😩😉! How much do you think it would take? I can’t see Motherwell or Hamilton doing business at less than £750k

17 Jan 2018 20:45:53
Wee_bear

We are ment to have bid 650 for both Jones and Docherty and 1+ for jw from leeds (if true) should be enough but most deals are paid instalments now a day's

Clubs have to trust us again if they are looking for top price or they might be the ones looking out just look at Hearts with Walker

18 Jan 2018 13:06:36
absolutely no chance we will go for cadden

17 Jan 2018 18:57:37
Apparently we are looking at signing Emerson Hyndman.
I would be happy with this

17 Jan 2018 19:12:24
Loan deal. Howe says he wants him to get games so he is in their first team squad next season

17 Jan 2018 18:24:30
Hi fellow bears.

Work colleague who is Hearts fan told me today that Naismith has definitely signed for them. But just seen on Stv he might sign tomorrow.

In my opinion a great player to miss out on.

17 Jan 2018 18:14:53
Regarding Windass, since he's been playing more centrally we've seen a big improvement and he is yet to reach his full potential. There is big money flying around down there and even more so for young Englishmen. However when everyone is fit I think he'll struggle to get in the first 11, and I have my doubts as to whether he'll ever be truly good enough. Given what we paid for him if we can get close to £1m plus a sell on percentage for him then re invest that in Docherty then I think that would represent good business. Bring in a few more Englishmen on cross border development fees in the summer (e. g. Cole, Roberts etc. ) hopefully one of them turns into Dembele dollars!

Keep Believing!

17 Jan 2018 21:07:29
Windass is a far better prospect than Docherty and we should be trying to keep him.

17 Jan 2018 21:10:00
I don't rate windess and want him moved on.

17 Jan 2018 16:36:47
I think people are forgetting big david weir. He was old and a stand out. Not saying yes to cahill but if you are good enough even for a season to settle things and add some experience to the mix why not?

17 Jan 2018 17:23:56
Davie Weir was a freak of nature and surpassed everyone expectations when we signed him but Cahill relied on that burst of pace to get on the end of things to score goal, something that at 38 will be long gone. No thanks

17 Jan 2018 18:39:09
Up until recently it was only goalkeepers and centre halves that played on until that age, but with improvements in sports science and players taking better care of themselves i. e. not drinking and smoking etc. then we will start to see a lot more players performing at that age. That said we already have a 38 y/ old forward who we don't need. I do like the idea of having a target man option but with McBurnie's contract up in the summer he's surely a better fit.

17 Jan 2018 19:26:51
Big Marv his contract isn’t up in the summer he signed a 1 year extension till 2019

17 Jan 2018 19:42:53
I don’t think he signed the deal. Transfer market and Swansea website say June 2018

17 Jan 2018 20:22:54
There does seem to be some confusion over his contract. Perhaps Swansea have the option of an extra year which may or may not have been actioned?

17 Jan 2018 20:57:10
In November 2016, McBurnie signed a one-year contract extension at the Liberty Stadium until June 2019

17 Jan 2018 21:43:36
According to wiki gersman, but as jboy17 points out TransfrMarkt and Swansea website say different.

18 Jan 2018 06:30:24
Someone needs to ask him that’s got him on twitter lol

17 Jan 2018 12:11:10
Just like your opinion fellas but I would rather have Kenny mclean in front of Jordan jones any day of the week.

17 Jan 2018 13:19:01
Different positions to be fair. Mclean is more the type like Goss but i'd like us to try and get Goss signed before Mclean

17 Jan 2018 15:25:04
Goss is to go back to QPR is he not? their manager doesn't want to sell him apparently.

Docherty is our CM target, i'd have him before Mclean.

17 Jan 2018 15:27:50
Qpr already stated they don’t want to sell Goss - hence would sign McLean on precontract for the summer . Or wait t window almost closed and offer £100k, better ask Boyd’s permission!

17 Jan 2018 17:17:50
Don't think Jones is that special, especially if the price keeps rising.

Happy enough with the way thing's are going, would have liked naismith regardless. Can never have too much quality and he's the base level of a competing rangers.

Murphy, Martin and naismith would have been a serious marker. Still, plenty of options now.

17 Jan 2018 09:12:31
So bids are coming in for joss windass. Going with the way Scottish teams value their players I'd be asking for about £6m

17 Jan 2018 12:14:31
Aye hahahaha, I await Kris Boyd going tonto about Leeds 'derisory, disgusting, disrespectful and unacceptable' bid then.

Did anybody actually read Boyd's full comments? he actually said 'there is one clubs unsettling everybody', it's actually worse than I first thought. Guys a belltop.

17 Jan 2018 12:14:00
Personally can't understand all the hype recently about windass from what I have seen yes he's improving but he's a long way from being top class is only good for one half then fades out the game we have him until 2020, I wouldn't be extending that just yet until he's shows more and if anyone is silly enough to offer 1.5 or 2 million then its cheerio and thanks josh, I think the boy Docherty is twice the player he is but hey just my opinion.

17 Jan 2018 13:22:07
Boyds no doubt a Rangers man and entitled to his opinion like the rest of us but i just think he's still got a bee in his bonnet over Dave Kings comments a couple of year ago regarding all the players that were out of contract (Boyd being one of them)

17 Jan 2018 15:35:01
Good shout SG34, that's what it could be. He was absolute dung for us though, King was right.

17 Jan 2018 21:03:28
are there bears actually on here having a go at us trying to buy low in scotland and sell high to england . really

given how we’ve conducted ourselves financially in the past that has to be the way forward

do i rate josh at 2-3m prob not but given the money awash down in the english leagues, unless a crazy bid comes in that’s what we must ask

i’m not for 1 minute comparing josh to coutinho but is he worth 140m . no. but someone is willing to pay it and liverpool to their credit kept knocking back astronomical bids until they had got absl top dollar

josh has come on leaps and bounds is scoring and creating goals every week is a key player for us and is under contract so we ask top dollar and hold out for it or he stays improves more and his value goes even higher

just my opinion bears

17 Jan 2018 08:47:12
Championship clubs looking to snap up windlass on the cheap.
I think the boy has a bright future I'd like to keep him, but if he goes any less than 3mil and sell on fee is bad business from us!

17 Jan 2018 09:40:08
We offer £300k for good from Hamilton (a scot and rangers man) which is about a third of his value. Then come to the wacky idea that JW is worth between 10-20 times good worth. good would run all day for us, JW looks a player for 20min in some games.

17 Jan 2018 10:16:17
Can't bid 300k give or take for Docherty or Jones and then ask for £3m for Windass😂😂 we would have a bit of a cheek mate surely!

17 Jan 2018 11:01:29
I don't want to sell him at all. I think with better players around him and hopefully a more settled team he'll only get better

17 Jan 2018 11:04:07
Why the rush to sell him were trying to build a team! Windass is far from the finished article but I reckon he's a late bloomer, his desicion making has to improve wrong ball a lot of the time or takes a shot when chance to slide someone in! That will come and then we've a player on our hands

17 Jan 2018 11:13:59
Isle of mull would u just want us to sell cheap then because I don't?

17 Jan 2018 11:16:03
Calven55 same question to u as well mate

17 Jan 2018 12:14:22
We would struggle to replace Windass for less than £2m, he is a main player for us until Dorrans is back and even then Dorrans may play further back, plus if clubs know we have money for Windass then they will increase their asking price for players. It’s simple, you hang onto your asssets until such times as an offer becomes too good to refuse, in this instance I’d say £4m with an sell on and I don’t believe he has realised this value yet so hang onto him until he does.

He has done ok so far and is another who will benefit from better service!

17 Jan 2018 12:16:26
Windess is poor imo and I'd be glad to get 500k for him. When all players are fit he wouldn't be near my 1st 11 now.

17 Jan 2018 12:59:18
Regardless of their abilities, why would anyone query the principal of buy cheap sell high with Windass and Docherty and Jones.?
Next time I'm selling a bike I hope one of you fellas who are upset our initial bids are too low turn up, you're bound to offer me the full amount incase you "unsettle" me.

17 Jan 2018 13:46:38
I don't want us to sell anyone cheap but bidding 300k for Doherty and Jones then asking for £3-6m for JW. Just not going to happen. All I'm saying is be realistic. Anyway our main problem is getting Alves off the wage bill then we could get even more players in and Bruno wages would cover all our loans deals

17 Jan 2018 14:35:24
We need to buy cheap and sell high. That means we offer other Scottish teams as little as possible and aim to get the best return on every player we sell. Hopefully we're starting to trim the wage bill down as well. Once we get the team sorted financially and get the academy turning out decent young players then we can stop replying on soft loans.

17 Jan 2018 17:27:21
If we can get in excess of 800k for Windass I'd take it. He's been far too inconsistent, even more so than Mckay was but doesn't have the ability of Mckay IMO. If that can pay for Docherty and keep money in the back I'd say that's good business for a boy we payed a development fee for two seasons ago that hasn't really produced.

17 Jan 2018 21:00:23
Jzer you’ve just saved me from writing out that post mate. spot on👍
