Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

17 Jul 2017 20:35:17
Still hearing loads of fans saying sack the manager and he will be gone by christmas. Possibly the greatest Rangers manager ever Walter Smith stated that it takes 3 transfer windows to build a team and give it time to settle. I will give Pedro the time to get a settled squad in play and see how all the players fit into the formation. Remember there is still a lot of deadwood that he needs to get rid of before bringing in more players. I think we need a full back that can play left/ right and I would like to see Walker and naismith.

17 Jul 2017 21:23:04
A good point or two. I'd forget Naismith and focus on the future. Why do we pay the asking price of Portuguese players and yet play this silly irritating game with Walker? Pay the asking price. Got nothing to do with the players we want to sell. Do the deal and sign the man.

18 Jul 2017 00:25:30
I for one think we will need patience and not call for the Managers head if we have a couple of bad results early on. Not saying that will happen but it seems 2nd would be accepted and if that's the case then it means that we already know that we will toil.

After the Niedercorn result Pedro has limited wriggle room. I think we will be successful but the first 3 games are hugely important. After Well we play Hearts then Hibs who will giv us a game and if we do come through these with 9 points we must get right behind Pedro.

18 Jul 2017 06:22:19
Also agree with the statement from Smith that a Manager needs 3 Windows although that is something that you do not see much of especially if the Club is really under performing! Which just makes the opening results so important.
Pedro has spent 9m and most of the Players came because of him! We definitely cannot call for a change after 4-6 weeks. Like I said 2nd spot this Season but give him the Season!

18 Jul 2017 19:10:47
Bill Struth is by far the greatest Rangers manager ever

18 Jul 2017 19:11:40
Definitely need a right back and would love two of either Naismith, Weiss or Walker hopefully

18 Jul 2017 19:28:13
reluctance with Walker is probably to do with giving a rival resources to improve.
Cathro has brought in a lot of players and might get it right with money to spend where he has failed before.

I would give them SFA in fact I still support the idea of an away fans boycott to make the haters hurt a bit longer

17 Jul 2017 19:55:20
See Hibs signed Whittaker. He would have been a great signing for us. I fancy your man Alan Hutton swell. Alves, Hutton Whittekar and Hill would have been an awesome defence.

17 Jul 2017 20:09:23
Two centre half and two right backs?

17 Jul 2017 20:24:15
whittaker plays left, right or midfield!

17 Jul 2017 21:58:51
A back line with a combined age of 138 I think we need a mix of younger and experienced central defenders and wing backs, Hutton and Whittaker are playing at their levels at this moment and time and our not the answer taking us forward in my eyes.

18 Jul 2017 19:25:56
Most of the italian defences have a combined age of 155. So yours would be quite young.

17 Jul 2017 17:15:58
Just wish if rangers are going too make a move for jamie walker or leave it till January that they make an announcement to clarify the situation, personally I would go for him as he is a proven spfl player that has the potential to go higher, so come on rangers make your move 🇬🇧🇬🇧

17 Jul 2017 19:00:15
We need a bit of pace. JW will provide that. I was hearing today that big Bruno Alves was the fastest player at training today and he is in tip top condition. can't wait to see him play!

17 Jul 2017 19:56:29
Why would they make an announcement to say what we are going to do regarding walker? In the past Rangers managers/ board wouldn't talk about transfers until they were done and that's the way it should be. Ridiculous to think they should make a statement about another club's player

17 Jul 2017 20:11:20
We are a different Rangers now. We don't like to keep stuff to ourselves. We get the messages out there to the people! !

18 Jul 2017 00:27:41
Think that apart from Walker our new DOF will be behind 2-3 quality loans from Prem.

18 Jul 2017 19:05:13
i was at auchenhowie today. Alves only took part in the last half hour.

17 Jul 2017 15:44:43
would love to see Alnwick get a run of a few games to see what he can do. Personally I think he is as good as Fod and maybe even better. Have only got his reputation to go by though.

Any thoughts?

17 Jul 2017 20:10:59
Surely Caixinha will play him against Marseille.
Back 4 - Hodson Alves Cardosa Wallace.
Any thoughts?

18 Jul 2017 01:52:59
I would play that and see how it goes, still think Hodson could do a job for us

18 Jul 2017 18:57:12
I agree. He made some cracking saves against St Johnstone at the end of last season. I know that's only one game but I feel he would be more commanding than Fod.

18 Jul 2017 18:59:21
Definitely agree alnwick should get his chance looks a more commanding keeper.

17 Jul 2017 15:42:45
Hi bears. Good to see wee Gilmour score at the weekend I hope we can get him back up here on a loan deal at some point in the future. Like most of us I was gutted that we could not hold on to him, still brought in money which we're spending on the squad.

17 Jul 2017 13:46:47
For some reason my posts never get shown. but. hey. I will try again.

Our club is getting it in the neck for being cheats (which we are not)

We played Olympiqe Marseille in the champions league and drew with them home and away. They went on to win the tournament but where stripped of the title throu cheating.

At the time Walter Smith came out and said. "We will not make an issue of this. what's done is done. "Could the other teams in Scotland please follow suit and stop being so pathetic!?

{Ed039's Note - Marseille were not stripped of the European cup, they were stripped of the French league title and relegated to ligue 2)

17 Jul 2017 14:19:47
It doesn't help when our chairman admitted 3 years ago we probably had an unfair competitive advantage but now changes his mind. This will always ramble on. The best way to deal with it is to do our talking on the park and get 9 in a row again!

17 Jul 2017 19:16:46
I've read a few of your posts mikefisher and can't make my mind up but I think perhaps that this is not your home site.

17 Jul 2017 20:13:40
Jyf: that's an insult. I have been a season ticket holder for 14 years and I just like stating facts. I want our club to improve and be a force in Europe again not getting beat by pub teams and being ranked 376 or whatever we are. I just want to see improvement and transparicty.

{Ed033's Note - i think you might have a dyslexic auto-correct.

18 Jul 2017 18:41:23
Ah Mike your always there lately with your pro Tim agenda

18 Jul 2017 18:55:03
Mike, would it not be a better idea to go for one first?

18 Jul 2017 18:58:36
Marseille where stripped of the cup and it was awarded to Milan who offered to play rangers but duration refused and rangers also declined saying we got knocked out so let it be.

17 Jul 2017 13:40:00
Baltic Bruno pictured at first training session today. Thankfully that jumper also comes in thinsulate. Win the league and I'll buy you the hat and gloves to match big man!

17 Jul 2017 10:54:14
As i have stated many a time before the following must happen which is crucial to the success of this season.
- Alves must be captain
- Must get Walker deal somehow over the line
- A quality right back who can defend must be signed
- the remaining deadwood from last season must be gone somehow
Still hope PC turns it round but i have my doubts like many
We need a good start to the season and all the new signings need to hit the ground running. Otherwise PC could be gone by January

17 Jul 2017 12:20:04
I really do hope that we have Clubs interested in Kiernan Wags Forester etc the only reason I can think that why bids have not come in is due to Clubs wanting to wait until end of window in the hope that they get a Player for the least amount.

18 Jul 2017 18:56:47
Stevie, very sensible post.

17 Jul 2017 09:38:14
Does anyone think the stadium needs expanded? I know if we take the big screens out of both corners and seat they areas it would take the capacity to 59000. That was the original plan many years ago . I would like it to be over 60000 for obvious reasons but it would be a good start.

17 Jul 2017 10:18:03
this pops up amongst fans every so often let's expand ibrox let's take away TVs etc have you seen ibrox recently how about let's clean it it's minging at some places steps leading towards stadium from tube station are crumbling etc I know recently there has been steps to improve the old lady but lots more to be done imo before any talk of expansion and filled corners

17 Jul 2017 10:26:50
I like the idea of stadium expansion but I think that will be good few years down the line after we are a regular league winner.

17 Jul 2017 12:21:16
Would love it to happen but think its way way down the list and prob 3-5 yrs away maybe even MORE

17 Jul 2017 13:55:55
how would been a regular lleague winner make it happen? we already fill it without winning much.

17 Jul 2017 14:02:04
King has already stated that the changes at the stadium will make it look and feel completely different by 2022. That's only 4 yrs or so. It's part of our 150th anniversary commemoration.

18 Jul 2017 19:00:53
Or as Mike Fisher would say 'our 10th anniversary celebrations'

17 Jul 2017 06:41:45
The daily record posted last week that Rangers were getting a new strip for the coming league season after wearing last years for the European games. I thought it was just 2nd and 3rd choice kits being new design however they indicated a new home one too. is this why we have such a delay in re stocking home strips everywhere. We have been duped into clearing stock if this is the case

17 Jul 2017 08:57:45
Suggest you listen to our chairman on such matters before the media.

17 Jul 2017 00:09:05
Personally would have liked to have seen moult and walker signed early doors but be good to have them on board, still think we need more quality in defence.

17 Jul 2017 02:07:47
Do we really need Moult? We already have Miller Morelos Herrera and will Hardie or even Rudden be given a chance? We also need to get rid of Wags as well as others as we will have Players sitting on their backside picking up a wage. Kiernan Forester Wags Dodoo need to go whether its loans or not.
Do we think that due to lack of Wingers Pedro may keep O'halloran or even use him as a challange for a Wing Back position? As for Moult its a no from me I do not think that he is a step forward in quality and its another 500k that I would rather it be put to the Walker bid if Hearts really are 100% ready to lose him for nothing next season which I do not think they will btw.

17 Jul 2017 09:05:32
I would rather have moult in our team I think he's decent and scores for fun in premier league which is what we need
