Must say i'm not blown away with the signings we have made so far.

17 Jun 2016 22:47:05
Are you for real? Warbs has brought in guys that he feels can do a job. They have cost us next to nothing. At least give the guy the benefit of the doubt cause let's be honest until they kick a ball none of us really know if they will click. I for one am really excited about next season and that's coming from a 43 year old who lived through 9 in a row.

17 Jun 2016 22:57:18
Care to expand on that Rick, given the budget MW has available?

18 Jun 2016 08:31:51
Are you for real rick witter? We've signed joey barton, niko kranjcar is on the way and you say your not impressed waith 'the magic hat's' signings so far, who are you expecting warbs to sign mate, ronaldo, neymar, bale or messi, common get real! I for one am impressed with our signings thus far with more to come.

18 Jun 2016 08:57:55
Rick we have went from ian black &ricky foster to joey barton and niko krancjar or would you rather we signed the jon dalys of this world give the lads a chance to show what they can do before knocking them.

17 Jun 2016 21:49:26
Would we have signed Hill if Taylor was signing? I've got my doubts. But look on the bright side. If someone had said Rossiter, Barton, Krankjar were signing at the end of last season you'd have disagreed. That's some midfield now with boys already there. Defence/ keeper still suspect for me and we defo need a striker as we all know.

Onwards and upwards lads

P.s
King has been the right choice to steady the ship and it was him that brought MW/ DW as well. Pat on the back to the men up top.

17 Jun 2016 22:28:24
Stuarteh. The midfield is fine as you say, however we need a keeper, big wes frightens the life out of me. We also need a top striker . We won't challenge unless these positions are strengthened .

17 Jun 2016 21:16:17
Grigg won't happen.
Would be in excess of 3 million.
Those days are gone.
It will be all free's and loans I'm afraid to say.

17 Jun 2016 22:47:57
Think will spend £750k on Bradshaw.

18 Jun 2016 07:04:48
Hope so he's the player I would like to see leading the attack this coming season I reckon he would bang in the goals up here for us.

17 Jun 2016 20:40:38
I've missed 4 games of the Euros, it has to be one of the dullest comps in a long long time. Some of the football is drival.

17 Jun 2016 22:15:12
Every team seems too afraid to lose and play for a draw.

17 Jun 2016 22:55:12
Not been the best Euros but I think Scotland would have struggled in France. The way it turning out were better away front there with big trouble at some games, as if France hasn't been through enough in the last few years.

18 Jun 2016 08:47:18
The tournament structure panders to weaker teams and encourages passive tactics in the groups, it's always the same! In a way I'm glad we aren't there so I don't have to endure Strachan trying to play for a 0-0 with a back six against teams we should be beating!

18 Jun 2016 09:30:39
Having 4 out of 6 third place teams qualifying makes the tournament farcical. It's just rewarding failure.

17 Jun 2016 20:23:02
Danny Ings loan deal could still be on the cards. He is 10/ 11 on sky bet to join Rangers before sept 3rd. Hope so.

17 Jun 2016 21:22:13
Latest odds are 10/ 11 for Ings to join Rangers and 4/ 5 to stay at Liverpool. That would be some signing! Maybe Mr King is loosening his purse strings. Loan makes sense as Ings suffered a bad knee injury and loaning him out for one season would suit Liverpool and Rangers.

17 Jun 2016 23:13:41
Would more that definitely suit our style of play. I hope this happens.

17 Jun 2016 20:14:34
Rite guys thoughts. clint hill wears new strip. rangers deny sports direct from using badges etc. is it possible, board have agreed deal with puma and 32 red, by this i mean sports direct totaly cut out deal, forcing them to take us to court to get the linen hung in public, which we no mike dosent want.

17 Jun 2016 21:49:49
I'm not Sure Puma or RED32 would go for that.

I think unfortunately the only way to get merchandise back would be to bye him out. Not going to happen.

17 Jun 2016 21:40:05
I'm sure Puma are better advised than to be violating contracts with anyone. We'll get rid of the parasite in time but not for now.

17 Jun 2016 22:16:15
Liquidate the retail part of the business ;) he'l be gone in a flash.

17 Jun 2016 23:17:19
Not a chance, while doing interview the "sports direct" sign was on the boards in the background. Why have the club taken all things away from the ground to do with them but still advertise on boards like this?

17 Jun 2016 16:27:00
Interesting to see pic of clint hill on rangers website his interview on rangers tv and he's holding up the new home kit 🤔.

17 Jun 2016 17:55:59
That is a very valid point. I saw the picture and didn't notice it was the new kit! Hmmmmm 🙄.

17 Jun 2016 18:24:47
Why are you surprised? did you really think MA had been kicked into touch? hey ho yet another wool over the eyes as we part with our money. Il make a prediction . there will more crap like this in next 6months. MA bad, MA robs us blind etc etc etc. hidden agendas and mis information for the masses. who is in charge of this agenda set stuff? Joseph Goebbels or perhaps worse than that 1 Mr Traynor. on ya go Jim i'm loving the con.

17 Jun 2016 19:48:37
Is this a possibility. rangers have done deal with new kit manufacturer, puma design and make new strip as seen by clint hill. m a has been told contract is terminated, and rangers keep shirt money, and go to court with sports direct?

17 Jun 2016 19:56:38
Ally, what are you on about? We know Ashley will have his claws/ clauses in place for some time to come. Nobody should really expect otherwise, until he has been booted into touch for good- no time soon.

17 Jun 2016 20:15:05
Don't think surprised comes into it - just well and truly in the dark. Not sure where the, " yet another wool over the eyes comes from"? The club don't appear to have done much to promote the new strip (if that is what it is? ) so it is absolutely a choice for the individual. If you feel the need to don the colours and don't mind lining the fat man's pockets splash the cash - if the thought of giving anything to Cashley gives you the boak support the club by spending the cash saved on shirts and other merchandise on lottery tickets, programmes and the likes. The exploitative retail deal is extensively reported so it is up to the conscience and priorities of the individual. For myself I will just stick to my 1972 European Cup Winners Cup scarf until the club announce a retail deal which benefits Rangers - hopefully sooner rather than later but come the day I am sure we will be notified.

17 Jun 2016 17:02:27
Maybe that's the boards way of saying we can't comment on the situation due to legalitys.

17 Jun 2016 14:39:19
Anyone else think the striker will be someone who hasn't been mentioned?

17 Jun 2016 21:10:10
Joscro, definite, don't think anyone on here would have predicted the last four signings .
Just wish some fans will calm down and see what happens, MW doing his badges ( workaholic )
MW has went and given the people involved a list of players he would like, wether we get first choice, second choice who cares, just be patient .
For those who want to bring up MW stated he wants all his business done prior to USA trip, did he not also state loan players will take longer?

17 Jun 2016 21:25:09
Bradshaw is the only one linked that I think is a genuine interest. The Ings one will come from McPartlands link to Liverpool. I've got a felling for an English championship or League One striker.

17 Jun 2016 13:51:42
Only thing is the 3 tough ones, Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts are away in the first set of matches, maybe would have liked say Aberdeen at home in the first lot.

17 Jun 2016 21:26:53
Then we should have them all at home after the split its just the way it goes.

17 Jun 2016 17:41:08
That might work out better in the long run it means we get them all at home later in the season so if we win the early ones it's a great start.

17 Jun 2016 14:43:07
Any word on how many season tickets we have shifted? The more supporters that take up season tickets the more money will be available to Mr Warburton to wheel and deal in the transfer market I would presume. I read somewhere earlier that the dark side had shifted 42000! So come on guys let's try and support the club if we can.

17 Jun 2016 14:58:07
33,000 renewed their season tickets. So i'd imagine we are on course for round 40-42,000 season tickets.

17 Jun 2016 18:26:12
Is there money off for pensioners? since we starting to sign them ooops.

17 Jun 2016 22:56:56
Try a concession ALLY auld yin!

For it is not age it is experience and quality we are investing in.

18 Jun 2016 10:17:53
I think this could be a very shrewd signing, we've got him for the season, that's all we're looking at right now and he is someone who can clear his lines and get the ball away, as for distribution, I am sure he should be more than adequate.
Think Marvin Andrews and how important he was in defence, aerial command and ability to clear the ball.

17 Jun 2016 14:43:07

17 Jun 2016 14:29:15
just watched Hill interview, certainly impressed by the way he came across, here's hoping he is as impressive on the park.

17 Jun 2016 15:21:31
Just been confirmed he has signed😊.

17 Jun 2016 14:36:21
Enjoyed that interview, he was buzzing, like the sound of this guy.

17 Jun 2016 18:27:58
Thought it was a bit much that a lad his age had to sit for so long. his piles must been giving him big jip. hey ho. can't wait to see his zimmer shine on the steps of Hampden.

17 Jun 2016 18:35:14
Absolutely OP. And I can only assume the person that pressed disagree is from the other side. Well, either that or a bear that has started early on the sherry.

17 Jun 2016 20:15:19
Over Investment and a war chest where promised to challenge CFC.2 Over the Hill and 2 from A S added with about 6or7 gone! Squad will be no where near challenging for top place. Realistically a Top 4 place will be an achievement. MR King will need to cough up the cash for MW to spend or he will be off.

17 Jun 2016 21:24:57
Celtic are nothing special nor will they be. They can't spend a fortune on players' wages. Barton, Hill, Rossiter, Kranjcar, Windass and Crooks sounds like good business to me. What do you want King to do? Sound the like of Torre Andre Flo again?

17 Jun 2016 13:41:40
Balotelli anyone?

17 Jun 2016 14:16:17
If MW signs him he's good enough for me.

17 Jun 2016 17:16:26
I trust the boss.

17 Jun 2016 13:10:37
Great Clint Hill interview.

Suggests from the way he's talking, Kranjcar is a done deal too. Fantastic.

Hill, Barton and Kranjcar all played together which will be a huge plus. Regardless of their age. They are three very positive signings.

17 Jun 2016 13:51:12
Clint Hill. I like the cut of his jib. Hill, Barton and Kranjcar. What great signings. Plus the others too. Celtic may have the money to spend big but even they can't afford to pay massive wages in the SPL. A huge challenge lies ahead but how exciting!

17 Jun 2016 14:56:27
I am with you Doiger, Cut of his Jib, first impressions looks very positive. Looks like a real leader type a bit like Kenny Miller. Obviously we will need to reserve judgement until we see him play but comes across as a guy you would want on your side in a dust up. He obviously was impressed with Mr Warburton who whilst the doom monger a had him disappearing over the horizon! He was in fact working his socks off for our club between coaching sessions at the England training centre. Roll on the season.

17 Jun 2016 13:26:08
I've said from day 1 it's a great signing experience is vital for our young players and he can still do a job if he does go into coaching that's going to benefit us as well him and Davie weir doing the defensive side in training with the young guns will be great for them and if niko does come that's a good core hill Barton and niko let the rest do the running around tav and Wallace up and down the wings looking a lot better than ally's team.

17 Jun 2016 18:31:52
Cut of his jib indeed. 1 year contract costs nothing to bring in and has his own pensioners bus pass, bloody marvelous, no company motor etc saving saving saving and no costs to our mighty wars chest :{.

17 Jun 2016 10:39:23
If our signings are good enough for The Hat then they should be good enough for us. Remember folks we shouldn't be trying to run before we can walk. Competing this year is where we expect to be, challenging would be a bonus.

17 Jun 2016 11:02:03
Kranjcar, Barton and Rossiter aren't coming to compete or challenge. They're coming to win or else they wouldn't have come.

17 Jun 2016 11:58:50
I agree pieandbovril, Celtic still have a good squad, it might take us until the season after this one before we have a really good squad, i just think it might take us a few transfer windows to get a squad that's needed to win the league but hopefully I'm wrong and Celtic spend their millions on a few duds lol, because I fancy them to spend heavily this summer.

17 Jun 2016 12:00:48
That's a fair point thorn. I just don't want to get too optimistic!
I do feel you're right with that assumption though.

17 Jun 2016 12:47:13
That calibre of Midfield is way too good to settle for 2nd best. No doubt.

Whether or not the defence will reach that standard is another thing but the midfield has shaped up nicely. At least one more centre back along with Ball is a must.

The forward line is good enough also with McKay and Waghorn but the obvious daily line of "A striker needed".

Could you imagine the other lot spending big this summer and finishing third. What a lovely surprise that would be. Their manager's career would be down the toilet with a second place finish even.

17 Jun 2016 12:49:47
Also "Celtic have a good squad". Not to sure about that statement though.

A large squad doesn't automatically mean a good squad.

They have a few good players but a good squad. That's pushing it.

17 Jun 2016 09:26:23
#Rangers opening 6:
6/ 8 Hamilton Acc (h)
13/ 8 Dundee (a)
20/ 8 Motherwell (h)
27/ 8 Kilmarnock (a)
10/ 9 Celtic (a)
17/ 9 Ross County (h)

17 Jun 2016 09:52:48
That's six wins to start with then.

17 Jun 2016 10:12:13
Certainly the first four games are winnable setting us up nicely for the visit to the Piggery. Septic's first four games include away to Hearts and St. Johnstone and home to Aberdeen. Any slip-ups in these and we could go into the OF game in fine fettle. I see we are 11/ 4 second favourites to win the SPL title. Good to see Hibs paired with Falkirk in their first game of the season. Dundee Utd v QOS in their first game. What goes around comes around.

17 Jun 2016 11:18:01
I can see conspiracy accusations if results don't go there way lol.

17 Jun 2016 11:45:29
Coop, have a wee look on there page its allready kicked off, it gives me the boak how much these people love to be the downtrodden victims at every turn. Why are they moaning if there team and manager are as great as they make out why worry.

17 Jun 2016 13:34:18
It was there own fault celtic asked for a game to be postponed due to that friendly competition they are in so if their fans want to blame someone then they need look no further than their own club.

17 Jun 2016 13:41:35
Well said bigtrfc, the green and grey hordes can't see its there own clubs greed that sees them away from home. But why let the truth get in the way of a good old fashioned conspiracy in the east end!

17 Jun 2016 20:31:07
Not at home due to pre season games. V Barca, Leicester, Inter, Strum Graz, Maribor. Greed? Games and cash that would give Mr King wet dreams! . Euro cash (Maybe CL windfall) 25 million from NB the same amount from Dafabet,25 million from Season Ticket sales and Millions more in Retail. Greed I hear? Oh and a few Million from add ons when Southampton sell VVD and VW. Go Compare against Crisis loans to keep the lights on.

17 Jun 2016 00:16:27
See the daily rebel trying to stir up the usual crap saying Barton won't be travelling to the states with the team and won't meet up for pre-season till a week before we play due to tv commitments. That's fair enough as it was pre-arranged but they go on to mention he struggled for a visa due to criminal offences. Well I'm sitting in Florida right now and my past was never squeaky clean plus it was an ESTA that was my clearance not a visa. Absolutely desperate for a story.

{Ed002's Note - Barton needs a Visa to visit the United States and play football whereas you don't need one.}

16 Jun 2016 22:48:35
I know this has been spoke about on here several times but it is a massively important subject and really has to be addressed by our directors as quickly as possible and relayed to us the loyal supporters, what the hell is happening regarding our new kits which should have been launched on thursday 2nd of June, our kit sale is massive income for the club and very very important if it can be sorted out once and for all! Ed, what's your take on this and do you have any knowledge on what is likely to happen regarding this?

{Ed001's Note - not a clue mate, it is beyond me right now.}

17 Jun 2016 07:24:55
I was under the impression that we will be using the same kit as last season.

17 Jun 2016 07:26:12
Unfortunately our kit sale isn't massive income for the club and only lines Ashley's pocket.

17 Jun 2016 07:40:48
Biffo316,what I'm saying here mate it is a lot of money for our club if it can be fixed out, rangers before all this sports direct tie up had the 2nd biggest replica shirt sales in britain, only manchester utd sold more, that's fact my friend.

17 Jun 2016 08:01:49
Takes 2 willing parties to fix it out and let's be honest mike ashley isn't a willing party i guess we will just have to wait and see on retail as ashley doesn't look like budging any time soon and it will take the board time to try go down the legal route . i for 1 am happy the board are taking there time to try and oust the fat boy.

17 Jun 2016 08:11:19
Warburtonthefifteenth, these things aren't really meant to be spoken of by the company, so you can see why they are being quiet. you are quite right though the kit situation needs to be fixed as it will be a massive income.

17 Jun 2016 08:13:46
Yeah but it's also highly likely the current situation won't be sorted out anytime soon. Wouldn't hold my breath on the new kit or a compromise happening soon. Looks like a long and costly court battle ahead.

17 Jun 2016 09:03:00
Last seasons strips will apply next season also as the strips had to be registered by 3rd June with SPFL. There will have to be a long drawn out court case with Sports Direct before any of this is cleared up, allowing us to gain control of the contract again. The process could be tied up in red tape by Ashley's camp with the hope of Newcastle getting back up immediately this season. He has just appointed another director to Rangers Retail, outnumbering us 3 votes to 2. This won't be resolved for quite a while.

17 Jun 2016 11:15:13
Whose to say the board can legally tell us anything? Just getting worked up over nothing there obviously doing there bests to get rid of ashley. You'll here when they have something to say **** sake.
