Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

Cynical old Rangers man to the core thinks that recent events to destabilise our great establishment will backfire on us. When Dave King has a look at the books he will be shocked.
Green has probably cleaned us out by seeing an angle and using it to the full.
Rangers were purchased for a song, albeit he took a gamble, and used his profiteering skills to a maximum.
My forecast, administration and the renegotiation of all contracts. Even with the points deduction, progress to the next tier is almost certain.
A cva would be a doddle, the losers would be the shareholders and any esteem we have left.

P. S. To a certain theme being intimated, this method of asset stripping is not a long firm but a straight forward opportunist con.

@op mate mccoll said the shareholders he's representing will invest more money and also if we went into admin again we would lose some of the squad so wouldn't be so confident of still winning the league and how do you know we would get a cva easy again we are ment to owe hmrc more mils so again could they not just turn around and say no

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think Duff and Phelps will get the gig?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one Les (I feel a song coming on), It would take a very brave or stupid person to allow D&P anywhere near the club again (after what the charged the last time, I don't think we could afford them anyway). I thought we didn't have any debt so who would a CVA be with, we will owe the taxman but I didn't think it was overdue yet so why would be need (or indeed be allowed) to enter admin. Once the board resolutions have been finalized then I believe there will be enough investment to stabilize the club and set it on an upward path.

Cajlta, if there is no cash to pay wages, day to day requirements or match costs then administration is possible. Always remember that HMRC is paid monthly.
Hopefully I am being too pessimistic but unlike Ozzie Al, I have my doubts.

Thanks billyb, but I have read from many sources claiming that by the end of the season we will be down to our last one million. I assumed by that it meant we have enough funds to pay the day to day and match cost's until then. I also keep hearing about a large tax bill that will be arriving soon, so again assumed that meant we hadn't payed any for this year yet. My conclusions therefor were that if the first part were true then we could at least make it past the AGM and allowing for investment after that the second part could be covered. It's all might's and maybe's but I believe this time there are people standing by to make sure admin is not an option this time. Without THE BIG TAX CASE hanging over the club this time I'm sure Rangers are much more attractive to investors this time around.

In one of todays papers it says that
if one of the 2 remaining directors
resigned, under stock market rules
Rangers would cease trading, how
does that effect the club and does
it interfere with the playing of games
Ed?
billy h {The Ed039's Note - Cease trading on the stock market until the house is in order again, as far as I am aware it would stop shares being traded etc etc but wouldnt stop normal day to day operations, ie playing football matches)

If (and I only mean if), it comes out the Whyte is still somewhere in the background pulling the strings (as suggested by Alistair Johnstone) how will the SFA react to this news?

He's barred from Scottish Football for life (or something to that affect).

Could this jeporidse our licence to play?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Only a gullible mug could think that white is not involved any more he has been pulling the strings all along and mccoist smith and every body else todo with the club knows this, ground and Murray pk sold by this time next year maybe back to rangers but sold all the same, and now there a rumour that ther is a big tax bill for the new club what the f@@k is going on up ther

Why was Green so keen to get rid of Malcolm Murray and stop the investigation into the links between Green and Whyte?

Anyone with a modicum of intelligence will obviously know the answer to that one while even the numpties that came on here and trumpeted the belief that the investigation (which was never properly completed) cleared Green of all links to Whyte might just by now have realised the answer.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 only a gullible mug would believe something they read in a paper. The only accurate print in any paper is the date. So maybe Johnstone did say it. Does that mean he's right? There will be no sale and lease back on any of rangers assets. When the doh starts to run thin or the tax bill comes through. There will be new investment waiting in the wings and that's what scares you Timmy. RUGGY BEAR.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did the requisitioners not say the shareholders that they wer representing would to invest more once they had ther men on the board so I don't see why everybody's worried about the future cash stream

Agree0 Disagree0

Talking about papers. No storey in the Record about the forces day result. I wonder why? It does not fit their agenda, although they were one of the first to report it. Do not believe anything you read in that rag
