I would love to see Middleton, Sadiq and Morelos start. Some fresh legs resting a few on the bench where the guys can feature later in the game

Morelos has started so not fresh legs but I get your point otherwise haha I dunno if Sadiq is ready yet but Middleton I would play here and there still a young boy. we don’t know the ins and outs of Liverpool contracts we might have to keep playing Kent and Ejaria if you believe the stories regarding their loan deals.

I would imagine this cup is seen as a genuine chance of silverware. I expect a really strong team. I watched Sadiq in Stirling I’ll be amazed if he started with anyone but Morelos up front.

I think most loan deals have to guarantee a certain amount of playing time especially young players from down south. I don't believe for a minute though that they have to play every game.

Guys, I attended the Millwall v Derby game today at The Den, Millwall runnng out 2-1 winners. I was v interested to see the boy Cooper in action as know we have been linked with him. Got to say hie is v tall and v effective at both ends of the park. Also looks to be a leader, composed and comfortable on the ball.

I think rangers should push the boat out and get this young man he, s a no nonsense defender and very strong in the air. That would give rangers 3 quality centre halves that can play football. There's enough games in the year to keep them all happy for a season or 2 anyway if anyone wants an exit. Then we could cash in if anyone gets homesick or looks to leave I think it would be worth the extra cash.

Lafferty on as a sub at Dunfermline after 70 minutes, I want us to tell Hearts to forget it now, we should not be held to ransom any more by Budge and Company. Go for another striker, Hearts taking --ss.

How do you know hearts are taking the piss? 750k for a 30yr old NI international who knows where the goal is, is a steal👍. It will be the player add on that's holding the deal up. We will have to pay a fee to wallace as he won't get the same wages at hearts as we are paying him and he has a year left on his contract with us. so there will be a fee to be paid to wallace from us👍 I would imagine that this is what might be holding it up. Someone said yesterday that hearts wanted hodson instead of wallace, I doubt that. Even hearts are no that desperate. We just shot down bordeux for their insulting bid for morelos. How do you know that we have not insulted hearts with our bid for lafferty? As I said 750k for lafferty is a steal👍 and if we manage to flog wallace to hearts and use his wages for lafferty then that would also be a steal for us👍.

Coldco. you make valid points indeed, my frustration stems from last seasons fiasco with Walker, and Lafferty is now cup tied so won't be available for the competition. Let's just wait and see what happens, for sure, I unlike some fans would welcome him back, as I said in another post Morelos playing off him would score more goals. we all want what's best for Rangers, no other Scottish Club will play ball with us as has been shown.

Lafferty was already cup tied before today inverger👍. Lafferty on the bench today tells me that hearts are preparing a team for life without lafferty otherwise he would play, he's their best player as he proved against celtic👍.

Bluepete can't agree if he comes this week I'd wager he will be our top scorer by end of season, Morelos has been a revelation and I've been One of his biggest critics but still think as a finisher Laff shades it. on Morelos I hope he gets the protection he needs from refs as every team will target him to try and wind him up I just hope he doesn't bite.

Lafferty not cup tied for Europe.

He is match fit (unlike Umar Sadiq) and is able to bang goals in against them (unlike El Buffalo) He is far from perfect but he can do a job and doesn't hide in big games (unlike Windass did before sold) .

All in all I would like him back but would not want to rely on him.

COLDO, Hearts don’t want Wallace to my knowledge and he’s not kicked a ball for just shy of a year. What makes you think he’d pass a medical mate? They’ve already signed a LB why would they want an ageing, expensive LB with a poor fitness history over the last 24 months.

Hearts are negotiating a deal including the other Lee! Wallace is still injured and wages too high! There is no hurry Hearts seem to be doing all the talking so let them! We want be rushed to do a deal either

Shankland may be signed by this week and a 150-200k he's worth the risk Considering Joe Dodoo was about the same price range and has done sweet fa If we get either Shankland or Dodoo playing well then there is no loss there Combine the pair and the coat is under 500k A possible silver lining

It's as if it was writin in the stars. Stevie G is perfect for Rangers a young fearless hungry manager with a steely determination to prove his old manager wrong a man who probably watched Graham Souness from a far another ex Liverpool captain take Rangers by the scuff of the neck and march them to dizzy heights. Yes its the perfect fit and the timing could not have been better Rangers were so bad they couldn't go down any further so anything positive this season would have been a bonus, but the recruitment the mindset the professionalism the work ethic the willingness to make this club everything it can be is fulling me with a sense of change for Rangers. Even the timing of the timplosion in the other half of the city stink of arrogance. We look at the europa Cup as well needed source of revenue and dipping toe ba k into Europe. Whereas they see it as an Inconvenience with poor revenue streams compared with the champions league. Not worthy of there presence. That's the difference we, ve been to hell and back so anything positive is a bonus. They, ve been so used to getting there own way they believe its a given. Well change is coming and quickly. Yes free agent can join at any time as long as they have not already played for 2 clubs in the same season and get international clearance for UEFA.
Trailists can only train, they are not permitted to play in competitive matches (although I think they can play in reserve matches and bounce games)

Problem is with free agents is they are without a club for a reason! Attitude, Fitness, Injuries or old and past it. Most of the freebies done nowadays are pre contractual agreement therefore leaving the junk on the heap.

Think centre half we sign will have to be willing to sit on bench waiting on his chance. So I'll be surprised if we get anyone on loan as he would have to get playing time as part of deal and I can't see SG splitting up Goldson and Katic.

I don't see the huge problem with out cb cover. don't get me wrong if we can get an old head to come in and sit on the bench i'd be delighted but currently in times of need we could use mcrorie, flanaghan or barasic. Would much rather see money spent on a playmaker and finisher.

McCrorie can fill in CB but if much rather have a natural CB heard Barisic can play all along the back 4 anaw.
