would play Clark up front at the weekend, he is familiar with the surroundings at Palmerston so it should be a home from home to him.

18 Feb 2016 22:04:35
Not sure what all the panic is 1 player doesn't make a football team, Waggy was needing rested anyway, Well get through this, Miller to take any penalties though keep Halliday away.

19 Feb 2016 15:24:04
What about Holt?

18 Feb 2016 21:20:22
Lets all laugh at stephen thompson and dundee united. if they go down it will take years for them to be back up hahaha lol.

19 Feb 2016 07:42:31
Maybe Mr T himself has disagreed? I see a small half full minibus, a dark stranger and his dog - that'll be the total of their home crowd next season. What goes around etc etc.

19 Feb 2016 07:54:48
Great the way things are going for all involved at Dundee utd could happen to a more deserving or better club well done to everyone especially Stephen Thompson I'm sure rangers will have to take the blame for it all we are a blight on all you well run Scottish clubs, oh and we are the people get it up dundee utd I hope when you go down you stay down your overheads get too much financial difficulties follow then the bottom league for administration then bust oh how the world has turned.

19 Feb 2016 10:45:37
I for 1 would love dundee utd relegated, Mr Thomson will find out that karma really is a bitch.

19 Feb 2016 14:44:19
Thomson will now be calling for the restructure of the leagues with immediate effect. No way should he be accommodated. Perhaps in a season or two when Dundee United are languishing mid table in the 1st division. You reap what you sow. Just a shame he didn't ask Celtic for a couple of loan players! There are a couple of decent players there that know the Dundee area well.

19 Feb 2016 19:11:48
Dundee Utd are nobodies compared to us they're whole club are a disgrace who cares what happens to them they'll be an after thought for us next year not quite as scummy as the dhims but they're up there.

18 Feb 2016 19:30:55
Hope waggy makes a quick recovery. Could see him next season as a no 10 in a 4231 formation once a few more signings are made for our assault on the premier league. A formation favoured by top English teams including mark warburtons favourites spurs.

19 Feb 2016 07:33:34
Agree that we will play a similar shape however I think he might favour playing waggy out wide right. His pace and power would be nightmare for full backs and he always drifts wide anyway.

18 Feb 2016 18:38:54
Oops wish we had tied up the Latvian after all.

18 Feb 2016 16:34:21
Does anybody else think that waggy being jumped on by team mates may have made his injury worse.

18 Feb 2016 17:39:45
If you watch them celebrating after the penalty Miller pulls Holt off his back before signaling the bench.
I think taking the penalty may have done more damage.

18 Feb 2016 18:06:09
100% they made it worse.

18 Feb 2016 18:15:31
I thought the same mate, a bit of extra strain couldn't have helped, but when you're lost in the moment of ecstacy, you don't consider these things.

18 Feb 2016 19:37:54
Aahh the memory of being lost in the moments of ecstasy!

19 Feb 2016 12:18:34
yes indeed
three should have been sent off for over zealous celebrating and another 3 for violent conduct in jumping n him

no consistency with refs.

19 Feb 2016 14:46:21
The pitch didn't help. UEFA should ban artificial surfaces for all premier league grounds.

18 Feb 2016 15:54:30
Clark or hardie o, hal mckay for me.

19 Feb 2016 19:29:59
hardies on loan to Raith a think.

18 Feb 2016 15:41:47
McKay Miller O'Hal

McKay Clark O'Hal

McKay O'Hal King

Forrester Clark Miller

WHAT FORWARD LINE WOULD YOU PREFER TO SEE NOW THAT WAGGY OUT FOR NEXT MONTH OR SO.

SO GLAD THAT WE BROUGHT IN O'HAL.

18 Feb 2016 16:27:07
I'd go with your 1st line to start and the 2nd one when Miller tires. The funny thing is that O'Halloran looks a better bet on the right than Waghorn and Miller in the middle and as Waghorn says himself, he's a bit of both. It could be a blessing in disguise as Waghorn had gone off the boil of late and looked like he needed a break. Both Miller and Clark can score headed goals and I'll bet O'Halloran can be a great provider. He looked the part in the second half against Alloa when Waghorn went off and unfazed playing for Rangers. Just what we need.

18 Feb 2016 16:40:07
Has to be McKay Miller O Halloran.

18 Feb 2016 17:03:19
McKay Miller O'Halloran

Clark and King off the bench!

18 Feb 2016 18:11:19
Id love to give clark a run in the team, with that goal against killie he'll be buzzing and with the service he'll receive he might just show us why he was brought to us in the first place, miller is a great pro but i feel clark will have more in the tank.

18 Feb 2016 20:36:57
McKay on the left Miller and O Halloran
or McKay Clark O Halloran
King and Forrester on the bench.

18 Feb 2016 20:46:58
Imo has to be a front 3 of o'halloran, miller, mckay, with nicky clark coming on for kenny miller in the last 25 minutes or so, miller has to start through the middle as far as I'm concerned as his experience is vital, miller is a terrific pro although he won't last the full 90 minutes we've got clark to bring on later on when other teams are a bit fatigued and the game gets stretched.

19 Feb 2016 07:37:21
Clark got the winner he deserves a start. Scores most times he comes off the bench.

18 Feb 2016 14:36:15
Would like to see hardie recalled and given a chance with clark incase miller picks up a dock or two? Looks like waggy won't play much more this season buy the time his fitness comes back.

18 Feb 2016 14:55:53
Read, he won't even be at the train station yet, one for next season I believe, get Hemming in summer, then build a strikeforce around him.

18 Feb 2016 17:13:16
For next season I'd be trying to get Cummings fae hivs. Wit a player n he would fit rite in at ibrox wae our style of play.

18 Feb 2016 20:53:33
Id like Hemmings :D.

19 Feb 2016 07:36:23
Hemmings or Cummings would be great. However I think hibs would want a ridiculous sum for Cummings so hemmings seems more likely.

19 Feb 2016 07:36:38
McKay Clark ohallaran.

18 Feb 2016 14:02:03
Waghorn out for 6-8 weeks, time for wee Clark to earn his new deal and fire us to the title!

18 Feb 2016 16:31:07
now we shall see if we have any depth to our squad
I would like to think o Halloran will fill he void left by waggy .
personally I think this should the management food for thought as to what we need next season.

18 Feb 2016 21:50:27
I agree. I think that O'Hal will slot right in to Waggy ' s position. With Clark, Forrester and King interchanging we will be fine. Big thanks to Waggy for all his hard work and goals and looking forward to getting him back soon. My daughter is heartbroken - her favourite player won't be playing for a while.

18 Feb 2016 13:56:25
Waggy out for 6 to 8 weeks.

18 Feb 2016 15:01:02
These pitches. I knew somebody was going to get hurt, especially in wet conditions they are treacherous. Now we're running the gauntlet of someone else getting done on Sunday,3rd game in a row on them with tender joints etc.
That's Waghorns season over basically but we've been quite fortunate injury wise.
Just hope we come through Sunday with a full compliment.

18 Feb 2016 18:56:40
Just as well O'Halloran was brought in.

18 Feb 2016 09:53:29
Question

How many of this team would not make it into seliks team?

Foderingham 50/ 50

Tav YES
Kiernan YES
Wilson 50/ 50
Wallace YES

Holt YES
Halliday YES
Law NO

McKay YES
Waggy YES
O'Hallaran 50/ 50

THOUGHS PLEASE?

18 Feb 2016 10:50:44
Tav, holt, McKay, Wilson.

18 Feb 2016 11:23:25
Tav, Wallace and Maybe Halliday.

18 Feb 2016 12:08:22
You're mad, tav and wallace would prob get in. that's it.

18 Feb 2016 12:23:23
McKay over gms or Armstrong out wide any day. Wilson over Ambrose/ boyata any day.

18 Feb 2016 12:36:36
The OP is not as far off as some may think when you compare them man for man.

18 Feb 2016 12:53:45
Tav, Wallace, Foderingham, Waggy outside not instead of Thumbheid.

18 Feb 2016 13:21:49
See to be honest. I could only be interested in Rangers players being good enough to wear or Royal Blue jersey.

18 Feb 2016 13:31:34
Difficult question OP because let's face it if Tav, Waggy etc were in Celtic's team under Delia they would all go backwards just like most Celtic players such as Brown, Gordon and Johannson have.

18 Feb 2016 14:12:29
I honestly don't think any of our players would be guaranteed a game for them.

Gk wise Gordon has been excellent for them and although foderingham has done ok he would be edged out by Gordon.

Defence wise they have just spent cash on two centre backs that on paper seem to have a decent pedigree. So Wilson/ Kiernan is a no. Lustig is probably there best player (and one of Sweden best) but the young full back they have is a bit light weight so for me Wallace would make their team.

Midfield wise - have a read on BBC site, good article highlights the vast number of very similar midfield players on their books. None of our current bunch would make their team. Look at allan- he would have been in our team as a key player every week but is a bit part player there. See Holt being tipped but he couldn't get get time at hearts- I'm not saying he hasn't done well for us in championship because he has.

Striker wise (again mentioned in BBC article) they are a one man band. If Griffiths got injured they would be in deep trouble. That being said they play one up front and none of our forward players are anywhere close to him- he is their version of Boyd, a goal machine in spl but hopeless at a higher level.

18 Feb 2016 14:17:35
Gordon has cost them many big games in Europe and cups, terrible replacement for Fraser forster. Lustig is absolutely woeful. Simunovic spent most of the season injured. Tierney is already a better player than Wallace. Just my opinion.

18 Feb 2016 15:03:24
Anyone who can't see that Gordon is a great keeper doesn't understand the game and shudnt be offering opinions, that's akin to saying Lionel mess is a poor finisher, , I know he made a few bloomers but, much as I hate to say it he is a fabulous keeper, I would suggest his errors are perpetuated by the doughnuts in front of him no?

18 Feb 2016 15:09:45
good comments there troops, just wanted to get a flavour as to how people see our team against the so called best team in Scotland. Obv we are going to strengthen in the summer so our team will be much different next year. I think good bunch of british boys playing nice brand of football, all hungry to win, will give the Selik a good run for there money any day regardless.

thanks all, !

18 Feb 2016 21:56:10
I think Cee is right. Gordon has made some horrendous blunders this season and looks like a shadow of the player he was last season. And I'd also have Tierney in place of Wallace. I think he is a smashing player, quick and strong in the tackle. Apart from Griffiths I don't see anything else about them that scares me in the slightest. Obviously Ross County thought so as well.

18 Feb 2016 15:06:13
All the Celtic fans I talk to slaughter Gordon and I've got to agree. One of the decisions Ally got right if its true he never offered him a deal.

18 Feb 2016 13:41:33
I agree Henderson and Naz

Couldnt care less about Scotland's 2nd best team and I would dread what would happen to our good players under Delia

More importantly the sum of the parts in our team comes together as a unit and plays for each other that is more important as will be seen when we win the league next season if we do sign 4/ 5 top notch players in the summer

KT.

18 Feb 2016 17:13:13
M3lvo! There's no so called about it! We' are the best team in Scotland! And that will be proved once again when we're lifting 5 in a row in May! As for who from your team would get in ours, the answer is none! Plain and simple! U simply cannot compare one team with the other because we are quite literally in a different league!
