first things first...R.I.P. mr fallon...immense celtic servant.....
secondly chris boyd is now available and maybe, just maybe should be signed pre-contract but paid buttons as he is basically old news wi an excellent scottish pedigree......
and third ....do we never learn when international managers hire their "mates" as assistants...."mates" who have been fired from more jobs than sven - goran - eriksson....luv wee gordon but imo a much more respected although maybe hard to find assistant should have been hired ......and ally doesny come to mind ...deecee

Believable13 Unbelievable13

Kris Boyd might want to be playing football between now and September. Given his physique, how long do you think it would take for him to be match-fit if he's not, especially if Matt McKay is right and the training at the club isn't up to much?

Agree11 Disagree5

This Mcghee situation is a complete farce, failed dumpling, but best mate and easy money, a complete joke.

Agree22 Disagree7

Same deal McCoist and Durrant.
Rangers struggled in fourth tier until SPL referees were put on Rangers games and nine red cards issued to opposing teams and inordinate number of critical penalties given to Rangers.

Agree14 Disagree42

@No3/ don't know where you get your information regarding cards and penalties, East Stiring have had five penalties this season, Rangers three, even Annan had four and I don't see how five reds against opposition is
unusual amount against any attacking team in the third division, but then maybe we have to determine if its facts you don't like, or just Rangers.
AJM.

Agree30 Disagree11

Since when is an assistant manager, especially for a national team become such an important issue? An assistant is usually the managers friend from within the game who shares the same philosophy of the game and the like, someone he trusts 100%. Usually just a sounding board

So Kris Boyd has been freed from his contract at Portland Timbers. Would anyone like to see him come back if he would take the wage cut? Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on him now

J-Gers

Believable18 Unbelievable23

I liked Boyd but wouldn't touch him now, what kind of player will we get? He can't play 1 upfront, ally already shown in the 3rd division its 4-5-1 and nothing else and Boyd was useless as a lone striker.

Agree12 Disagree7

Take i'm back on our terms.....prefer him to miller....both have failed since leaving.....bummer eh...2 grand a week ..deecee

Agree3 Disagree10

He has been paid off so many times, he must be loaded. I'd take him back on a low wage, Boyd up front with McKay and Shiels playing off him, with Templeton out wide would work nicely.

Agree5 Disagree13

Well Kris admittedly wasn't great as a lone striker against the top SPL clubs or in Europe but against defences in the lower divisions he would run riot.

Agree4 Disagree6

Boyd could do hee haw other than score goals, not a dig, a real compliment, in the type of league we are going to be in for the next couple of seasons he would run riot and if played alongside others up front, all depends on cash required and Ally getting a grip and putting numbers up front.

Agree5 Disagree3

Boyd plays, boyd scores that's how easy it is

john

Agree3 Disagree2

@ 6 ...as a celtic fan I didn't get to see that side of boyd iv heard a few stories from the smaller clubs but us celtic fans didn't get to see much of him at all in old firm games he looked more like an ornament ...

Agree4 Disagree3

@No7/ Would you believe it, top SPL scorer of all time turns out to be an ornament, what does that make the runners up trailing in his wake look like.
AJM.

Agree0 Disagree2

@ 8 ... I can only judge a player by what I see as I say I only got to see boyd when he played against celtic for both kilmarnock and rangers where he scored a grand total of (1) goal in his whole life ... what does that make the runners up ?? a far better and more useful player to have in an old firm game I would think... like I say in old firm games he was nothing more than an ornament

I see the much maligned RFFF is going to spend the
fans money on defending the stripping of titles. I
donated to this fund, on the understanding that
they were to help with creditors.

I was then astonished when they saw fit to spend my
hard earned money on a new pitch. I was very
annoyed at that spending, it's frankly a disgrace.

However if my money helps defend the titles I am
delighted. At last some decent use for this money.

Good on ya {The Ed039's Note - This money was never going to help creditors, it paid a small amount to some football clubs and paid for a new pitch, and some legal fees and we have known this for long enough)

Believable14 Unbelievable24

When I donated it was not on the understanding that it was going to pay creditors but rather the money was to help the club keep going when we needed it the most. Like you OP, I am happy for the money to now be used to defend the club

JG

Agree20 Disagree24

Money down the drain.

Justice will be done!

Dual contracts occurred without a doubt and in order to reduce the liability of the HMRC EBT case the club admitted that was the case.

Rangers (1872-2012) have joined the likes of Gretna and Third Lanark and they will do so with their tainted history concluded at 49 titles.

Agree22 Disagree27

Wow what a great lesson to teach our children, lets pay money to defend people who have cheated and mislead the football supporters of our country! Yeah your kids must be very proud of you! I am not a Celtic supporter just an ordinary supporter of his LOCAL football team!
Your club is the lance Armstrong of football worldwide, liers and cheats to the core! And hopefully something good will come out of this and we can teach our children that cheats, be it a drug doping cyclist or a financial doping so called football team can never prosper in this world! I know that this will be treated with contempt by the usual mindless knuckle dragging followers of The Rangers football club, but if they are happy winning by cheating they need to take a long hard look at themselves!

Agree38 Disagree28

Wasn't the RFFF set up to buy any extra tickets at Ibrox ensuring a sell out for last seasons remaining games? That is what I was told when I donated. It will be the last they will get from me, there was a lot better ways to spend it than relaying a pitch that the Commonwealth games would have done anyway. Or did nobody check to see if there was a grant given towards the relaid pitch and a nice little bundle of cash to the RFFF organisers. Shower of shysters who are looking after themselves. Don't give them a thin dime of your money.

Agree13 Disagree7

@3...spot on m8, yet as you sate, your post will be treated by contempt by the deluded&brain washed .. moonbeams murray has sneaked way under the radar with whyte shouldering the majority of the blame...We even have hately in the papers spouting tripe about rangers being bullied, pmsl, he's deluded too the core!

Agree17 Disagree5

@1 & 4 if you missed it before, this this is what you donated to (if you are for real that is )

Former boss Walter Smith showed his support at Ibrox as the SPl crisis club launched a 'Rangers Fans Fighting Fund' to raise vital funds towards the club's running costs.

Just read Charles green will be having a meeting with the 15 clubs of the conference league on the 21st January. {The Ed039's Note - The Conference Clubs have a scheduled meeting on the 21st, Charles Green wont be there)

Believable12 Unbelievable18

Mr Charles Green, will be there in some way or another.... My thoughts are that we've been shafted that much it wouldn't Surprise us if Mr Ashley & him will pull out All stops to buy a smaller club down south & transfer a few things over. This topic will Not disappear lightly. This will go all the way to Court... Watch This Space....!

Agree8 Disagree22

That'll be like his meeting with UEFA then that never happened.

Agree26 Disagree2

Or his meeting with Dallas cowboys or his meeting with Adidas or maybe the meeting with HMRC where he said the CVA deal was done and club saved?

Or more like the meeting in London at the Chinese resturant when Whyte brought him in to meet D&P...... After he told us all he had never met Whyte.

Agree11 Disagree4

Yep. The Whyte/Green connection. It is all out there, how do they think they will get away with this? I never met t man, but had t chinky dinner with t man. And t D&P. Very odd Mr Green. Mr Green, The Third Man?

Agree3 Disagree0

Well wrong again and yet more lies coming out from your leaders to get your hopes up. For the people at the meeting said that he was not invited and that the rangers are not going to be talked about as it is not respectfull to do so, as well said the rangers are a very long way away from even coming close to that league. For you need 3 years accounts and then still far away, maybe you and leaders should try and be making friends instead of saying how everything isn't fair and maybe you can start building your respect, but just like the div your in it will take years and time to do. Hasn't your leader lied to yous enough? How much longer are you going to hang onto every word he says? For he just gets you hyped up and nothing comes out of it.

just heard that CG interested in Swindon Town as they are up for sale for almost nothing from today - 13m of debt only. Paulo Di Canio said welcome money from source. Is this CG's way into the english set-up. {The Ed039's Note - Only £13m debt, are you mad? Plus the fact I am EXTREMELY against this would see me put a dampener on it anyway)

Believable4 Unbelievable21

Swindon? Buy Swindon and relocate them to Glasgow. What a plan. You must be a daftie.
