Can I please ask for people to supply a source. It becomes very tedious having to crosscheck the vast majority of rumours. Thanks in advance.

We have already lost out on Hemed and Vaughan due to wages and its looking like Craig Conway is heading south for more money too. These are not good signs from this new regime so far......

David Goodwillie is still got charges to go up for until he is clear his value to any club is zero. Ask yourself if would you pay 2 million for someone who can spead the next few years in jail. Goodwillie will not be of any value until or if he is cleared. Hope we make a signing soon and dont get a run of players rejecting us. It looks like conway is going to cardiff. Please Mr White give the fans something positive on the signing front.

Did we really need hemed a month ago we didn't even know who he was we have 2 great strikers all ready Jelavic and lafferty I think if we could get goodwillie we would be looking alright maybe even another young lad just to beef up tge numbers we would be ok .

{Ed010's Note -I would love for Rangers to sign Chris Brunt but realistically, I don't see it happening. Before Jordan Henderson's £22m transfer to Liverpool, Brunt was priced in the £5-£6m bracket. After Henderson's transfer, that value will have increased to between £8-£9m, if not more.

I am not for a minute suggesting that Brunt is a £9m player but that will be the figure, that WBA will be looking for and I can't see Ally, spending most of his budget on one player.

Brunt would be a great signing , quality player

A lot of Rangers 'Supporters' on this site need to have a long hard look at themselves. The transfer window isn't open yet, we've approached one player who went elsewhere. When was the last time Rangers signed a player before the window opened in the summer? Get a grip guys. Slagging of Whyte, conspiracy's here and cloak and dagger stories there. F@@k me, hes owned the club for a couple of months, not only is he starting out with a new manager, with a new financial system, he's trying to build a board, and get the staff in that are going to conduct the transfer negotiations!!! Folk are jumping the gun, asking why we havent spent millions yet! The windows yet to open!! We rarely spend, or buy players this early. Stop hanging Whyte out to dry while he's still trying to haul the club to its feet. And for those of you who continue to sully his and the managements names, then shame on you, and you are worse than them lot in the East. Get behind your club, instead of on top of it. Could it be possible that McCoist wasn't willing to use up a lot of wages on Hemed because he has other priorities. Think of our CURRENT squad, no Weir, Foster, Bartley, Weiss, Diouf, Healy and potentially no Bougherra. We desperately need defenders, potentially we have no CBs. We need cover for LB. We need two wide midfielders, and at least one striker if not two. Most transfer business is done in July/August not in June, players are away on holiday and it makes it difficult to sign them.

I know we dont have the finances of a club like Shaktar but we should be using a strategy to them. Purchase young talented foreigners for a reasonable price and develop their talent and sell them on for a profit. Thats the position we are in now.
We are not in the position of buying an Albertz, Gazza or Laudrup for inflated prices and massive wages.
There should also be some sort of media control or restrictions placed because they are harming our performance in the transfer market too which we are already underperforming in.

OMG, some of the crap people come out with here is unbelievable. We miss one transfer and suddenly everything is apparently going tits up. We made an offer and he chose to go to a league where he'll get to play against Real Madrid and Barcelona instead of St Mirren and Motherwell. That's fair enough in my opinion. There will be other strikers, probably better one's on offer throughout the window. We will miss out on other targets as well, every team does no matter what league you play in or size team you are. So try and show a little faith and support in the new owners or would you really rather be back to the days when we signed one player in two years.

I am not worried about missing this one.It means that Naismith might get to start up front.Just make sure we get Conway in.Now maybe we should turn our attention to monster Dmitri Bulyakin, the Russian international striker.Who has been scoring goals for fun in Holland for Den Haag.Just the sort of big target man we need.And he is a free transfer.David Nugent is free to.Who we were looking at last year.So is Danny Koevermans at PSV another guy we tried to sign.Along with Marcas Berg, and Helder Postiga.I know we maybe could afford only one of there wages.The bigger name ones.But we showed at least try and be ambitious.They can only turn us down.

There is also a giant Greek international centre half called Vagelis Moras that is free.And plays for Bolonga.Maybe Ally should ask big Amoruso what he thinks of him?Could be the type of player that we need.Since the Brazilian guy we were after wants to go back and play in his own country.

Well well well! The season hasn't even started and Fat Sally is calling in the help. A "Director of Football"? Open you eyes and see the distant sun, take off your mask and breath as if it was your first breath in a million years of asphyxiation.. that smell, that vision...that is the truth, it is there if you look hard enough. Why does a club like Rangers need such an employee as Mr Smith, is Sallys judgement being questioned already in the power corridors that Mr Whyte has built to protect his insolvency plan and asset stripping. If this was 12 months down the line then the Alarm bells would be ringing or even the end of this Transfer window but it's nowhere near the start of the season yet and because we aren't buyinganyone.com like Lemon doesn't mean anything.

Vaughan was made an offer, he had reportedly 3 other offers from Premiership clubs who no doubt offered in excess of the Champs, if he was our number 1 target of the summer Im sure we would have nailed him but we are not being held to ransome, its a bit like Keyal, yeah hes had a good (not Great) 1st season In the SPL nowhere else so may deserve a new improved contract but just because Bolton for instance would pay him £30k easy a week doesnt mean Cellik have to. Vaughan has decided to stay in Premiership and he was only a squad player as is Temed who may choose to play in Lal Liga a choice Nakamura made in favour of Ceptic not too long ago and thats when You were 3 in a row champions!!
I am sure if it was last day or 2 in window we would be more aggresive in our efforts to sanction larger financial packages to recruit players but as we have been in a financial mess recently it makes sense to pay what you think is fair and if they decide to go to other clubs who are smaller clubs but in better leagues then you have to question their desire to play for a team competing for domestic titles and guaranteed European football.
If he is another Fergus McCann then we will have to settle for the Cadetes, Hooidonks and Di Canios and an end to uncertainty over financial future and improved facilities so regardless it's good news all round.
We only want to strenghen a squad that neither Strachan, Mowbray or Lemon could stop winning the title so we are in good shape, anyway who is it You are buying again?

Not exactly a rumour but my opinion based on rumours regarding potential central defenders. I think Garry Kenneth from Dundee United would be a pretty good signing. He's impressed me whenever I've watched him play and is still young, and would learn immensely from playing alongside Davie Weir, who I'm sure will play for 1 more season. He is strong, quick, good in the tackle and fearless, putting his head in where others wouldn't put their foot. Good old fashioned centre half and would also compliment and learn from Cuellar if he returns. Kenneth has a lot of potential to be part Scotland's next central defensive pairing along with Danny Wilson.

Any thoughts Ed?

Where r u reading this? Really hope it's not true because £13000 p/w for a box to box midfielder who is good in all areas of the game, attacking and defensively, is a steal. The guy has quite genuine ability and always looks to give 100%. I'm a huge footy fan and watched "the championship" every week and was regularly impressed with Danns! Was looking forward to him in the middle with Davis. Make it happen Gordon Smith and you will have gone a long way to win me over!

As to the guy who's mates with lawson who says boyd's on his way back to ibrox, your mate is full of turd.

1st of all boyd was a great servent to the gers but miller showed he could supply and score the same as boyd. (miller also loved scoring against the tic which boyd struggled). Also Jelavic n Lafferty are looking deadly so if we to bring in hemed who cares about boyd the rumour is CRAP.

Times have changed the bears are not a 1 man team.
