I dont know how many times I must say this along with all the rest -you sit and make out your wee shopping lists and you talk in terms of 2million here and three million there- you are like kids at santa claus time..the reality is that 5million per year is whats on offer and thats it! why cant you see it ? ask the mrs how much the price of food and clothes have went up? 19% on your gas Bill plus 10% on your electric bill thats heating bathing etc and thats the important things in life! football is no more than a game and no less- players wages are are extortionate they are not starving are they?I just think its all gone too far and the baws burst..wise up.

Did you ever stop to think the players get paid so much because of the massive interest in football? the price of season tickets, sky t.v even the price of your rangers top are dictated by supply and demand market forces.anyhow sorry to hear your struggling to pay the gas and electric its time for you to get a new career or a cheaper mrs

Can I please ask for people to supply a source. It becomes very tedious having to crosscheck the vast majority of rumours. Thanks in advance.
{Ed010's Note -To the author of this post.
My friend, I just wanted to clarify a couple of things for the benefit of all. Firstly, there is absolutely no requirements for contributors to provide a source for the content of their post but where there is, I will publish it on the appropriate pages. Secondly, where a published post doesn't reveal a source, any subsequent request asking for a source, will not be published and will be deleted.
This is in accordance with the site administrator's instructions.
Believable1

Thanks for the elaboration and no disrepect was intended etc
{Ed010's Note -there was no intent on my part to suggest that you were being disrespectful and if you took it that way, please accept my apology.
I fully understand why you posted the question and that is why I published it but I had to make it clear, that it was the contributors choice to ad a source and that they were under no obligation to do so.
Recently, there has been a habit of readers writing and submitting posts, simply with the word "source". I was just indicating that those kind of contributions are not going to be published.
Finally, many thanks for your contributions and I trust that you will continue to be actively involved, in both reading and posting articles.

I really hope we get danns and fast people under rate him but in the spl he could be vital in the title race. I just hate getting my hopes up with players like Frings, Hemed and even Commons. I guess this site isn't meant for people like me coz when I hear a rumour I run round and go crazy like they already signed.

Lets get real on here, no chance of Wes Brown, Wilson Palacious or any premiership player we simply could never afford the wages. We have already lost out on Hemed and Vaughan due to wages and its looking like Craig Conway is heading south for more money too. These are not good signs from this new regime so far......

Fellow Gers fans,
It shocks me to see a player rejecting the Gers for a team like mallorca, Hamed said he let his heart make the decision. I personally believe it was his wallet, the greedy s**t. All i can say Ally is have you got a long list of names your interested in because it does't seem that champions league football is that attractive after all. I think we better cancel the trip to Germany because i don't think the opposition will be interested in a six a-side tournament.

Agreed, said in the times Ally was on holiday and the negotiations were done between whyte and someone else.... he clearly didnt sell the clun enough like walter smith would have, maybe Gordon Smith and Ally should tale care of these things just now before another nobody embarreses us and chosing a side that finished 17th last season!!!

David Goodwillie is still got charges to go up for until he is clear his value to any club is zero. Ask yourself if would you pay 2 million for someone who can spead the next few years in jail. Goodwillie will not be of any value until or if he is cleared. Hope we make a signing soon and dont get a run of players rejecting us. It looks like conway is going to cardiff. Please Mr White give the fans something positive on the signing front.

Marlon Harewood - good player, big strong physical forward but thing is we could have got him for free not long ago but we let him join Blackpool instead so not a good idea to now pay 2million for an older player.
All of these rumours that are alot of rubbish, bring in David Goodwillie he is worth paying 1.5million for and nevermind all of the other players who are looking for a stepping stone or a pension.

Glad hemed not signing. Fed up with foreigners coming for s season. Give big laff a go Ally. I know this sounds crazy but look at his goals tjey are mostly all placed in the pokey.
BTW. I heard about Gudjonson about 3 monthd ago. Thete is a big rumour in Belfast re Brunt! Was over for a mert re 12th march. Anything on that ed? He apparantly coming back to WBA to hand in transfer. Gers only place he wantd to go. Dunno how much. What yous think ... about 3 mill. Great player for me!
{Ed010's Note -I would love for Rangers to sign Chris Brunt but realistically, I don't see it happening. Before Jordan Henderson's £22m transfer to Liverpool, Brunt was priced in the £5-£6m bracket. After Henderson's transfer, that value will have increased to between £8-£9m, if not more.
I am not for a minute suggesting that Brunt is a £9m player but that will be the figure, that WBA will be looking for and I can't see Ally, spending most of his budget on one player.

RANGERSNEWS,
When will fellow bears realise craig whyte will not spend millions on pounds on transfer fees , I had posted earlier this week the hemed deal was off due to a 200k signing on fee!
And calling me a celtic fan or whatever wont alter those facts , we have been looking at bosman signings conway , etc .
So would gers fans stop saying we are giving millions for this player and that player , it aint happening. The noise from ibrox regarding spending money is frightening. ASWEDE.

Who cares about Hamhead. Not me. Ally and Mr Whyte will have other targets. Sure he would have been free. Feck it though. Would he try as hard as Naismith or Jelavic? We will sign a few new players but let's be honest they are not going to be the worlds best players but as long as they come in and play for the jersey and try we will get behind them, we will win the league. Let's get behind ally and Mr Whyte and let them prove all the doubters wrong.

A lot of Rangers 'Supporters' on this site need to have a long hard look at themselves. The transfer window isn't open yet, we've approached one player who went elsewhere. When was the last time Rangers signed a player before the window opened in the summer? Get a grip guys. Slagging of Whyte, conspiracy's here and cloak and dagger stories there. F@@k me, hes owned the club for a couple of months, not only is he starting out with a new manager, with a new financial system, he's trying to build a board, and get the staff in that are going to conduct the transfer negotiations!!! Folk are jumping the gun, asking why we havent spent millions yet! The windows yet to open!! We rarely spend, or buy players this early. Stop hanging Whyte out to dry while he's still trying to haul the club to its feet. And for those of you who continue to sully his and the managements names, then shame on you, and you are worse than them lot in the East. Get behind your club, instead of on top of it. Give the boys time, be patient. 4 in a row will come. Let the mankies slag our management and board. Don't make them look right by doing it yourselves!!! Be SUPPORTERS! Not 'fans'.

Could it be possible that McCoist wasn't willing to use up a lot of wages on Hemed because he has other priorities. Think of our CURRENT squad, no Weir, Foster, Bartley, Weiss, Diouf, Healy and potentially no Bougherra. We desperately need defenders, potentially we have no CBs. We need cover for LB. We need two wide midfielders, and at least one striker if not two. Most transfer business is done in July/August not in June, players are away on holiday and it makes it difficult to sign them.

No need to worry about strikers.
ally will bring in one more my bet is goodwillie.
we should tie up deals for both wilson and bartley on loan in the next week.
which then gives you options at the back:
whittaker, broadfoot and papac can play full back or centre half
bartley, weir, wilson, mcculloch, broadfoot, papac, whittaker and cole all cover the centre half position.
expect either foster or wallace to sign aswell to cover a full back position

I know we dont have the finances of a club like Shaktar but we should be using a strategy to them. Purchase young talented foreigners for a reasonable price and develop their talent and sell them on for a profit. Thats the position we are in now.
We are not in the position of buying an Albertz, Gazza or Laudrup for inflated prices and massive wages.
There should also be some sort of media control or restrictions placed because they are harming our performance in the transfer market too which we are already underperforming in.

the rangers team i would like to see ( not fact just my say )
Mcgregor
Whittaker Bartley Bougherra Papac
Davis Mcculloch danns
Naismith Jelavic goodwillie
subs:Alexander, Weir, Broadfoot, Ness, Fleck, Wylde,
Lafferty
Weir is he dosint sign then most likely get wilson
on lone
if Bougherra goes then i think we might play wilson at the back tho that would mean we have to young dc so ally might not do that so might see a experienced center back in also
you also may see the fact i have not got conway in the team i really dont think we need him i feel Wylde is just as good
i also see ally buy randoms that no 1s ever hear of
on the cheap and i would expect ally to buy low sell high so i see many coming and goings in the next few years with the back bone staying almost the same through out the years ed whats ur say on that :)
{Ed010's Note -In any business, buying cheaply and selling on for maximum profit, is the dream of every owner. Football is no different, with every manager looking for a players that can be bought cheaply and sold on at a later time for a profit. Unsurprisingly, every manager is looking for these "gems" and in my opinion, they do exist if clubs do their homework.
In 2007 Rangers played a couple of matches against Osasuna. At no time did anyone forsee Carlos Cuellar, who was in the lineup, signing for Rangers that summer. It was later revealed that Cuellar had made an impression on Walter Smith, during these two matches and that was the reason, that he was signed.
Ally McCoist will be no different. He will have dosiers on several players that have impressed him over the last few years, so the possibility of another "unknown" being signed, is entirely possible, indeed, probable.

OMG, some of the crap people come out with here is unbelievable. We miss one transfer and suddenly everything is apparently going tits up. We made an offer and he chose to go to a league where he'll get to play against Real Madrid and Barcelona instead of St Mirren and Motherwell. That's fair enough in my opinion. There will be other strikers, probably better one's on offer throughout the window. We will miss out on other targets as well, every team does no matter what league you play in or size team you are. So try and show a little faith and support in the new owners or would you really rather be back to the days when we signed one player in two years.
Agree0

The reply was spot on ... why would we match 30 grand a week fur a unproved player who will be tied down 2 30 grand a week for at least 2 years (3 million+) what if this guy is another ostenstad and were stuck payin him 1.5 million a year now thats a waste .... if ally thought this guy could have been a world beater then maybe whyte would have forked out the 30 grand a week but maybe mccoist seen him as a back up or a rotation player and f*** wasten that on a rotation player

I am not worried about missing this one.It means that Naismith might get to start up front.Just make sure we get Conway in.Now maybe we should turn our attention to monster Dmitri Bulyakin, the Russian international striker.Who has been scoring goals for fun in Holland for Den Haag.Just the sort of big target man we need. And he is a free transfer.David Nugent is free to.Who we were looking at last year.So is Danny Koevermans at PSV another guy we tried to sign.Along with Marcas Berg, and Helder Postiga.I know we maybe could afford only one of there wages. The bigger name ones. But we showed at least try and be ambitious. They can only turn us down.

There is also a giant Greek international centre half called Vagelis Moras that is free. And plays for Bolonga.Maybe Ally should ask big Amoruso what he thinks of him?Could be the type of player that we need.Since the Brazilian guy we were after wants to go back and play in his own country.

Hello fellow bears, I just want to get my point across, dont be worried about all this stuff whytes not going to pay 13000 a weeks for danns etc, the reason hes not paying 13000 a week for him is because he was being brought in as a back up and i personally wouldnt waste 13000 a week on a player who is very similar to a youngster we have young ness and clearly ally and mr whyte see that, there clearly not just throwing money at everyone and i personally see that as a good thing.they know what there looking for and wont waste 13000 (676000 a year) on a back up player.
As for Defoe that would be fantastic but im sure if hes not wanted at tottenham they will accept a bid at least 8 million + on him and not a loan deal , as im sure alot of teams would be happy spending 8 million on Defoe.
I just want everyone to get super ally because he knows what hes doing in football, and only wants whats the best for his beloved Glasgow Rangers he is one of us he is a Fan.
And lets hope for a good season for the might Rangers and get behind the Mccoist and Whyte era as i am so confident.
And big thanks to Ed for putting in alot of hard work on this site it gives me a good read and its good to see what players my fellow bears want to see and what rumours are flowing about.

Well out of them mate it's looking really unlikely we'll get Cuellar as Eck will want to keep him. Bartley also looks unlikely. Also Dalgleish wouldn't want Wilson coming on loan to be a sub! Plus Conways a wide player not a central mid and although Wylde looked ok last season defo not a first team regular! Also I'd have Goodwillie over Hemed anyday as he's Scottish and we know how good he actually is!

In my opinion Bougherra is not as good as he thinks. I do concede that he has been brilliant for us but I think that we need to think about the quality of the opposition. I am not being disrepectful to other clubs, merely suggesting that the players in the EPL are of a higher standard. I would doubt McLeish would be that interested in Bougherra, so I don't even think that it would be a possibility.

Well well well! The season hasn't even started and Fat Sally is calling in the help. A "Director of Football"? Is the rookie cracking under the pressure or realised everything in the garden isn't rosy and needs a more experienced head to guide him. The cracks are widening at the mighty 'Gers and alarm bells are ringing to those who choose to hear. Where are these signings that were promised? Where is the fabled £12m "warchest" that was so vocally supported by your good selves? Signing targets that The Rookie has publicly spoke about are slipping through the Ibrox net like water through sieve. Where are press conferences and statements to appease the hordes? There is nothing official or straight forward been released or quoted to the club since the takeover that gives any glimmer of hope your dying giant of a club. Craig Whyte has waltzed into your beloved club wearing The Emporors New Clothes and playing the dulcid tones of the Pied Piper to lead you all a merry dance. Open you eyes and see the distant sun, take off your mask and breath as if it was your first breath in a million years of asphyxiation.. that smell, that vision...that is the truth, it is there if you look hard enough. Why does a club like Rangers need such an employee as Mr Smith, is Sallys judgement being questioned already in the power corridors that Mr Whyte has built to protect his insolvency plan and asset stripping. There is a cold hard silent wind swirling over head at Ibrox, and to be honest as an angel whispering in your ear it frightens me to the core where this could end for a club I hate, but a club I know mine needs to save our countrys greatest export, peace, love, football. And the belief that whatever life throws at us, we shall come together for the greater good and be brothers in the unity of protecting our national institutions of which we are and should rightly be proud of.

If this was 12 months down the line then the Alarm bells would be ringing or even the end of this Transfer window but it's nowhere near the start of the season yet and because we aren't buyinganyone.com like Lemon doesn't mean anything.
You tried to get that guy Baxter to assist Lennon and he had already had a few months in the hotseat so does that mean the cracks were appearing?
Vaughan was made an offer, he had reportedly 3 other offers from Premiership clubs who no doubt offered in excess of the Champs, if he was our number 1 target of the summer Im sure we would have nailed him but we are not being held to ransome, its a bit like Keyal, yeah hes had a good (not Great) 1st season In the SPL nowhere else so may deserve a new improved contract but just because Bolton for instance would pay him £30k easy a week doesnt mean Cellik have to. Vaughan has decided to stay in Premiership and he was only a squad player as is Temed who may choose to play in Lal Liga a choice Nakamura made in favour of Ceptic not too long ago and thats when You were 3 in a row champions!!
I am sure if it was last day or 2 in window we would be more aggresive in our efforts to sanction larger financial packages to recruit players but as we have been in a financial mess recently it makes sense to pay what you think is fair and if they decide to go to other clubs who are smaller clubs but in better leagues then you have to question their desire to play for a team competing for domestic titles and guaranteed European football.
If he is another Fergus McCann then we will have to settle for the Cadetes, Hooidonks and Di Canios and an end to uncertainty over financial future and improved facilities so regardless it's good news all round.
We only want to strenghen a squad that neither Strachan, Mowbray or Lemon could stop winning the title so we are in good shape, anyway who is it You are buying again?

Not exactly a rumour but my opinion based on rumours regarding potential central defenders. I think Garry Kenneth from Dundee United would be a pretty good signing. He's impressed me whenever I've watched him play and is still young, and would learn immensely from playing alongside Davie Weir, who I'm sure will play for 1 more season. He is strong, quick, good in the tackle and fearless, putting his head in where others wouldn't put their foot. Good old fashioned centre half and would also compliment and learn from Cuellar if he returns. Kenneth has a lot of potential to be part Scotland's next central defensive pairing along with Danny Wilson.
Any thoughts Ed?
{Ed010's Note -I have seen quite a bit of him on the TV and he blows to hot and cold for my liking. I will concede he is good in the air but it's on the ground that he has problems. In my opinion, best left where he is.

Where r u reading this? Really hope it's not true because £13000 p/w for a box to box midfielder who is good in all areas of the game, attacking and defensively, is a steal. 1st of all boyd was a great servent to the gers but miller showed he could supply and score the same as boyd. (miller also loved scoring against the tic which boyd struggled). Also Jelavic n Lafferty are looking deadly so if we to bring in hemed who cares about boyd the rumour is CRAP.
