Caixinha has revealed in an interview with Portuguese newspaper, O Jogo, that Gauld was offered to Rangers. He was suggested to us on a loan, but I don't thignk we should have more than 2 loanees for that position and we're already covered, " Caixinha said to O Jogo (printed edition; page 19) He wasn't needed, even if we recognize his lot of quality and competence.

Read that Pedro has said he can see as many as FOURTEEN players leave Ibrox! Was wondering after the 8 that we pretty much were sure was on the list who could the other 6 be?
Heres my 8. Kiernan. Halliday. Forrester.
O'halloran. Windass. Crooks. Garner and Waghorn.
Do we think that Pedro was talking about some of the Younger lads? Burt. Rudden etc?
If he's thinking 14 then Holt and Dodoo's future may lay elsewhere. Thoughts.

Im sure it's a total of 14 including the four who have already gone senderos hill and two loans that would leave hodson and dodoo to ad to your list to make the 14 i think.

He was unused Substitute. The guy playing in his place from West Ham Jose Fonte made a few mistakes so big Bruno may be recalled for next match

Why are we getting so excited about Pedro and his knowledge etc? He was only the fifth best manager in Qatar, and he doesn't rate our best player in Barry McKay, jury still out I'm afraid.

Well our best player in McKay only actually performed in roughly 10% of games played, to me he was always awol, yes he has ability but is FAR too inconsistent, could be down to the fact he was finding it tough having to carry the whole team due to lack of quality players around him? Maybe this squad revamp will be good for him

I doubt that Barry can be classed as our best player given the quality of signings we have made!

Best player in a very poor squad last year doesn't mean much. personally think he has potential if he works hard but Miller was the best player for me last year

I think fans should keep their feet, and expectations, firmly on the ground. He has a lot to prove, hopefully the players will do their talking on the pitch. Next season will tell us if we have improved or not. I'm certainly not convinced by PC, but it is only fair he has to be given time with his own players to prove people wrong. Hopefully they hit the ground running.

I was sceptical of pedro last season but i think its only fair he is given a transfer window and time to bed in new players before he is judged. He was forced to draught in 2 young defenders last season because of injuries. I am excited by the new arrivals and confident we can run celtic close and maybe even win the title!

Our best players last season were Miller and Hill. McKay was posted missing in 4 out of 5 games. Needs to really up his game if he wants to stay.

What makes you say he was the 5th best manager just because his team finished 5th lol that's not how it works. Tony pulis won the premiership manager of the year in the premiership in 2014 for the job he did at Crystal Palace and they finished about 10th you don't put the best managers in order of were there teams finish lol

Mckay certainly one of our best players and clearly the one with greatest potential. Really hope we offer and he agrees right deal to make him stay.

So fat bam Hartson says Ped should have invested in 3 players at £3-3.5m! What a thick fud. Guys like him Sutton and others were saying that Rangers needed to invest around £20m to challenge for the League!
I know that we haven't even seen the lads play but that aside the manky mob are definitely not a great team! They brought in a decent manager and added a few players 2 of which play IN the team.
As far as we are concerned its my opinion that the incident involving Barton changed the players and how they viewed the Manager. I think he made himself look weak the way he went about dealing with a player who basically told him his tactics didn't work, and some of the players weren't up to it!
If that had been Souness Smith or Advocatte they would not have needed someone like Halliday to jump in and would have known to rip the player to pieces in front of the squad. After that I think the playrrs lost respect and no matter how much you spend if some playrrs think your a div then its game over. We need a Manager who Playrrs respect and who knows when to pull a player up and when a player/ team deserve praise but yhe Manager MUST be seen to be a strong Leader
