Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

19 Apr 2016 23:29:04
Think Nick Law was just a bit unlucky on Sunday he's usually a bit more reliable. But do agree that he won't be with us next season.

19 Apr 2016 23:02:48
Not a rumour, but I seen that Sunderland are not offering Mikeal Mandron a new contract. He's a 6'3 foward who is still mobile only 21 and was tipped for a bright future a couple of years ago. Might be a different option going foward.

19 Apr 2016 19:11:50
Just watched that video of the Celtic fan being abused and assaulted at Belfast airport. Absolutely disgraceful . That makes me ashamed . We need to stamp that behaviour out.
I'm desperate for Rangers to bear Celtic at every level and understand they feel the same about Rangers but in no way do I want people hurt or abused.

19 Apr 2016 19:40:29
A read some poor guy got stabbed too it's shocking the way people behave no need for all the violence hopefully the guy makes a full recovery and the clown that did it gets what he deserves.

19 Apr 2016 20:33:25
think we can safely say it happens across the board but it must be stamped upon my mates a paramedic and says sunday was the quietest in a long time which shows to a certain degree that its working but more must be done about it, i also would be more concerned about the final no doubt the infamous hobos will make it nasty in parts.

19 Apr 2016 21:16:06
How can rangers stamp it out. it happened in a different country to where the match was played. The club can't do anything about it unfortunately every club in the world has **** bags who follow them. You only have to look at some of the Leicester fans behaviour on Sunday.

19 Apr 2016 21:26:08
Absolutely, and to any Celtic fans that come on here you have our deepest sympathies. Banter is one thing but this is totally wrong. There was a fantastic picture doing the rounds on Facebook of a Rangers fan in a bar in West Belfast watching the game in complete safety. That is how it should be.

19 Apr 2016 21:32:31
To whoever disagrees about people being hurt or abused, can only say Deary me, have a word with yourself.

19 Apr 2016 21:34:53
Every club has nutter fans. The bigger the club, the greater the number of fans and therefore more nutters. Add religion to the mix and . Bang!

We can't change history/ culture overnight but we can collectively condemn it and we can try to self police.

For example what kind of sad pr1ck clicks disagree to Dunbar Blue's initial post?

19 Apr 2016 21:55:14
Problem is largely the so called fans who run about wearing the strips but haven't been near a game in their lives. No excuse for this deplorable and disgusting behaviour.

19 Apr 2016 22:48:17
This rubbish should have nothing to do with football, idiots who do these things usually struggle to spell their own names.

20 Apr 2016 00:00:04
5 people disagree so far? To those idiots I say you should be just as if not more ashamed of yourselves as the thugs who done this. Then again, I reckon they won't feel much shame, I doubt they are even capable.

Btw the guy had his son with him on that plane and had to put up with abuse through the whole flight before being physically assaulted.

20 Apr 2016 06:27:08
And there was also a shankill road bears fan who paid a south armaghs celtic fans flight home on sunday because they wouldn't take euros off him.

20 Apr 2016 07:02:48
And who can forget the young rangers fan who got his teeth knocked out last year by being hit with a bottle. Both incidents are shameful.

20 Apr 2016 09:31:48
Didn't hear that one Mr B but that's the sort of stories we want to and should be hearing. Well done him. In all my years of meeting people I have never wondered nor asked what religion they were because I have never cared. Judge them on what sort of person they are by all means but not by which church they go to. Even that statement is wrong as most wouldn't know what the inside of one looks like anyway.

20 Apr 2016 11:25:29
Delighted by the response to the first poster, yeah their will always be idiots but we all must condemn them, iv been attacked after old firm game, I was assaulted and stabbed on the head but that's not Celtic football clubs fault, it was the fault of the morons who attacked me just for wearing my rangers top and scarf, I just hope as the years go by it will get less and less because we have moved on from 10 or 15 years ago, slowly but surely we will get there guys.

19 Apr 2016 08:40:49
well in the cold light of day and the dust has settled, we have probably shot ourselves in the foot although well worth it it looks they will have a new manager who will be a whole lot better than ronny. we have to come up with players who can improve the team and move up to the next level because whoever they get will be better than him.

we cannot sit back and think we can go toe to toe against them next season. warbs must be given funds to get on with the job and unfortunately players have to leave to make way and free up wages for new men, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

so upwards and onwards. one other thing, everyone should pull together; fans, players, board etc., no more sniping and from what i hear, there are plans afoot to get rid of ashley and sports direct.

19 Apr 2016 15:42:53
Agree with u bill am still not sure there will be a great amount a funds but only time will tell.

19 Apr 2016 16:01:04
Its quite simple, both Rangers and Celtic, from here on out, will have to live within the confines of Scottish football. There is a cap that Celtic will not pass and we will eventually reach, it will just take a little bit more time. The journey is not fully complete but we will get there in the end.

19 Apr 2016 16:07:21
I think your right mate although i also think if we had ohal playing or king on the wing instead of sheils we could of takin a few off of them first half, we have to strengthen our bench was weak especially if we get into europe fingers crossed.

19 Apr 2016 19:47:24
Interesting to see who they will go for to replace their current manager. Somehow I don't see it being Mourinho and even Moyes appears to prefer Villa. So who do they bring in, a return for Lennon perhaps. I can't see them getting the Northern Ireland Manager, he would be crazy to go there and I don't see the ROI guy going there either. Maybe Larsen or similar to appease their fans. So long as we keep Warburton I care not who they get!

19 Apr 2016 21:20:40
Sundays game will never to be forgotten. Ronny was getting the sack no matter Sundays result, so we did not shoot ourselves in the foot. let's enjoy the moment, have watched Barry's goal 20 times and will watch it another 20 times. The celebrations at the end of the game from manager/ players/ fans said it all.

20 Apr 2016 00:03:28
Even if they do get some hot shot in charge, there are never any guarantees. Just look at Paul Le Guen. At least we are sitting in the position of having a brilliant manager with everything looking great, they have it all to do as far as I am concerned.

19 Apr 2016 21:12:24
Lennon seems desperate to return. He's certainly had plenty to say about things since he left Bolton. Probably knows that his reputation down south has taken a hit and Celtic is his best option.

Hopefully they will keep Delia, he's doing a fine job. 5 year deal please.

20 Apr 2016 13:14:59
Wish he was staying, better the devil you know and all that, he should have gotten rid of Collins and Kennedy long ago, now if Lennon, who actually sounded very fair and honest on Sunday comes bak, it will make a mockery of all his bleating about being abused in Glasgow, he was, but he caused 60% of it, being out drinking in the west end after an old firm game isn't clever? O'Neil also attempted to suggest abuse was a factor in going, ? Neither of them are short of a few million, so itl be strange if they brought their families back. Now?
Tommy.

19 Apr 2016 10:51:07
Daily Mail, Adrian Durham - Mark Warburton for England? He got something special going on at Rangers.

Now how long will It be before rangers are dealing with approaches for MW with comments like this.

AD of DM singing the praises of MW and touting him as a future England Manager, not even to manage a team in PL but the actual manager of England.

Praising the style of play, confidence that MW gives his players, the way they young guns play out from the back.

Also 100,000,000 people watched the old firm match, yes that is 100 million I have written, that up there with the super bowl viewing figures!

Now come on, rangers not important to Scottish Football, some people should appreciated that we will be the saviour of Scottish Football.

We now must ensure that MW gets all that he needs to build the team and club that he wants to build and try and get him to stay for as long as possible because it only a matter of time before the big boys sit up and take notice of this man.

He a footballing genius in the making! MW Legend!

19 Apr 2016 15:54:21
Adrian Durham has a love for Rangers he try's to big us up at all times and has been known to have a pop at Celtic on his show.

20 Apr 2016 06:44:40
With 100m views you would think that would be a massive tool in negotiations for a tv deal. If I was the negotiator i'd be demanding great money or excluding these games and have them on ppv or a separate deal. Even at a pound a game 100m per match is more than we'd get offered for a 5 year contract. Not saying that we'd get that many views consistently but its bound to be into the tens of millions regularly.

18 Apr 2016 15:26:21
No a rumour here.

But dose anyone think we should try and get ball on loan term rather than a new loan deal. Anyone know how much Spurs want for him. I just think since he went to DM he's done amazing for the team.

And after that strike yesterday put a 5 year deal on the table for McKay. He's been our best player all season.

And if warbs has any transfer in selling players slap big tags on. Tav, waggy, McKay, Halli and Wallace?

Thoughts?

19 Apr 2016 15:44:29
With him being only 20 and English I don't see them letting him go just yet, but I do see another season loan to see how he further develops as they are already very strong in his potential positions with Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Dier, Wimmer, Dembele, so I don't see him getting game time for them right now but they might still have high hopes for him in the next couple of years.

19 Apr 2016 15:47:42
If spurs are happy to listen to offers for him then we should be going for the big man he's not let us done at all this season.

19 Apr 2016 16:04:41
Ball is out of contract in july. Spurs will talk to him when he goes down after his loan with us, at that point he'll know if he is in their plans or not. if he isn't Warburton would most likely snap him up.

19 Apr 2016 16:08:41
Problem is it might be silly money there after.

19 Apr 2016 16:29:08
Only show he has another year with Spurs mate am sure.

20 Apr 2016 00:07:33
As for extended contracts, Wallace and Halliday wouldn't leave to go anywhere so I'm not concerned there, Tav and Wags will most likely want to stay for a couple seasons at the very least to have a proper crack at the prem and Europe, the only one I am worried about is Mckay. I was curious about the length of his last contract offer of 2 years and to be honest, the boy doesn't give much away, I don't kniw what his thoughts or plans are for the future and whether he would be tempted with a more lucrative move.

20 Apr 2016 13:21:24
Hows the chance to give him a 6 yrs contracts ๐Ÿ˜, and put ยฃ15. M tag on him, it would give him and the club insurance, its time Rangers were getting the market price for our good young players the dark side have made plenty, I always thought Rangers never placed enough importance on selling and especially cost
Tommy.

20 Apr 2016 14:12:11
He definitely has 1 more year on his spurs contract. After experiencing the game on Sunday I'm quite sure he would be willing to come back.

19 Apr 2016 14:10:54
I thought that man for man we deserved to beat them. I have been giving our centre halfs and in particular Wilson dogs abuse this year but I thought and especially in the first half both looked like boys who have over the course of the season grown into men. Love Dom Ball holding as well the guys only 20, the full midfield bossed the game. No Waghorn, no Forrester, no Ohallaran either.

19 Apr 2016 14:24:55
Hi,
for my university dissertation, I am looking at audiences using football as a case study. would you please ever so kindly complete my questionnaire. Itโ€™s anonymous and is only ten questions, it will take no longer than 60 seconds.

Thank you in advance I really do appreciate your help.

Questionnaire

19 Apr 2016 15:48:14
Done mate ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป.

19 Apr 2016 13:25:14
Stubbs stating that Hibs won't be giving Rangers a guard of honour as is normally done to Champions. Here's hoping we thump them tomoro! Play King and O'Hall and others that didn't start.

19 Apr 2016 14:10:29
No class that lot.

19 Apr 2016 14:14:38
Good. That will just get our team fired up even more to put Hibs in their place. Third place to be precise.

19 Apr 2016 15:33:19
Where does it say this? Can only find information on him commenting about not giving Hearts a guard of honour last year.

It would take a brass neck not to give us one now but I fully expect they won't anyway, so much bitterness towards us from many ranks within Scottish football.

19 Apr 2016 16:06:50
A wouldn't be bothering with crap like that am more interested In us beating them so they are struggling to get 2nd in league and giving them 2 more games before the final am not interested in there respect just let them get on with it lads! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป.

19 Apr 2016 17:36:35
Spot on Ryan. Let's put down a marker foe the cup final and wreck their chances of 2nd place at the same time. Another 6-2 would be lovely.

19 Apr 2016 11:16:01
Whats the story for David Templeton? obviously hasn't signed a new contract but why the demotion out of the first team completly?

19 Apr 2016 11:35:15
he's still injured as far as I'm aware. it's a very strange knee injury he had that needed slightly different treatment.

19 Apr 2016 12:25:18
It's a shame as I think warbs could turn him into a great player.

19 Apr 2016 14:45:21
Yeah, exactly my thoughts personally if he gets fit again i'd like to see him get a chance before being shipped out.

19 Apr 2016 13:44:22
One of the greatest mysteries is Templeton and how such a talented player has failed to make any impact during his time here.

Yes he's been unlucky with injuries but when he has played he's looked a shadow of the player he was at hearts. I know one of his old coaches at hearts and he can't believe how poor he has been- he has suggested it's partly down to his attitude.

Personally I wouldn't entertain giving him a new deal unless it was a pay as you play deal.

19 Apr 2016 15:56:36
Am with u luigi let him move on I think we try get King from hearts permanently! wish the lad all the best but it's just not worked out for some reason.

19 Apr 2016 19:52:43
McCoist destroyed Templeton but then he destroyed every decent player we had that he didn't send out on loan or sell so that he could bring in idiots like Black!

19 Apr 2016 11:02:08
Have been wondering why no one has been on from their site offering us thanks for sealing the fate of RD. Bad manners if you ask me!

19 Apr 2016 13:47:02
Had a wee look at their banter page - hilarious.

Mind you it must be embarrassing getting beaten by a team from lower divisions.

19 Apr 2016 10:50:46
Just had a thought yesterday. We are all aware that we will be bringing in 4-5 players in the summer, probably 6-7 if we get European games. But how many players are we going to lose in the summer?

Ball, King, Zelalem will be returning to their parent clubs. We don't know for definite if any of them are returning. Templeton, Shiels, Law, Clark maybe Bell could all be leaving. that's 8 players leaving and 5 or 6 coming in? I dunno if that number includes what Warbs is planning to loan in or not though or if that number is just permanent signings we'll be bringing in.

Fair enough we have the likes of Hardie, Walsh and Murdoch coming back in, but will Warbs think they're ready for the squad or will they get loaned out again?

19 Apr 2016 11:13:50
from the first team/ squad we have Ball, King, Law, Shiels, Clark, Zelalem all leaving. 6 players out, Ball and Zelalem are really the only players we might miss from them. we have Windass and Crooks coming in, so 4-5 players would take us to a total of 6-7 players that would come in. Temps won't be a miss as he has only been fit for 3 games this season. Bell can be cover for Foderingham until next year when his contract is up, or we can cash in now for him, I believe a few keepers down south are out of contract this year, so that is always an option for cover. things are actually looking very positive for next year.

19 Apr 2016 12:29:45
On the subject of Zelalem, I thought he looked classy again when he came on as substitute on Sunday and he slotted his penalty away brilliantly. An outstanding prospect and if Warburton gets the chance to take him on loan for another season then I think he should grab him.

19 Apr 2016 13:46:19
Agree Doiger. His first touch is world class and that's why he's able to seem so calm on the ball. Gives him time I know he takes some stick on this forum for not flying into 50-50 career threatening tackles, and frankly I don't blame him nor Arsenal if they are giving him that advice, but there's no denying he's a gifted player destined for the very top and I doubt very much we'll get him back next season.

19 Apr 2016 14:05:57
Keep forgetting about Crooks and Windass, fair enough. I agree I would love Ball back, he's versatile to cover 2 or 3 defensive positions. i'm not 100% about Zelalem though. Obviously the Championship is a lot different compared to top tier with the teams we will face, so I can't say how he would fare against Dundee, Killie, Hearts etc.

I also forgot about young Thompson. Hopefully the likes of Thompson, Hardie, Walsh and Murdoch will all follow the same path as young Barrie and I think MW is the man to do just that.

I'd be interested to see if he keeps any of the ones out of contract. Bell has a year left but I imagine he is on too big of a wage for sitting on the bench for another year. I think Clark and Law will be replaced by much better talent. Shiels, all credit where its due for him, he's been with us throughout the journey up and I would like him to do a year in the prem, but i'm not sure he has the talent to warrant that. Templeton was a class player and scored class goals but again, i'm not sure if he could be justified a contract after his injury this season, which I can only imagine was his leg hanging off the time out he's spent. Did anyone see what kind of shape he was in with the celebrations after the petrofac cup or the last league game when we won it? I dunno if he was in there or not but i'm sure I heard his name mentioned in commentary.

Im excited to see what happens in the summer though!

19 Apr 2016 10:28:46
Just a wee question to my fellow bears.
Where does that victory against them on Sunday rank compared to other victories. I don't think I've enjoyed one more. Before the game we had this conversation on here about our best Old Firm games and I said the Cup final when Ferguson and Lovendkrands scored was my personal favourite. This was better.

19 Apr 2016 12:40:32
Sunday has to be the best although many have been great this one tops it for me.

19 Apr 2016 13:05:28
I know stmonkey, think it's a mix between the emotion of the last 4 years and the way the team bossed it throughout. I've watched wee McKay's goal about 10 times on YouTube, just gets better every time. If that we Roberts is worth ยฃ12m what could he be worth in a few seasons. He's got the lot for me. Get him tied up.

19 Apr 2016 10:53:53
I was at the Loverkranz games with goal in final min and that was my fav until Sunday, I have never felt passion and desire to win from the players and the fans, the atmosphere was electric, when wee barry goal went in that was up there with best ever feeling and when they missed that penalty, it became the official greatest OF game I have witnessed! I will remember that day till my dying day!

19 Apr 2016 20:17:31
Been to many special old firm games. Winning the league at the piggery, lovenkrands final, but that 1 was Defo up there. To think we had 63% of the ball against the supposed best team in Scotland, that was us without arguably our 1st choice front line (albeit McKay was sensational) . The amount of the ball we had in and around their box, and the wingers we have, we'll b so far ahead if we can find a decent striker who is good both on the ground and in the air. The good times are defo coming back and there isn't a set of supporters who deserve it more than us bears.

19 Apr 2016 10:14:43
I think the magic hat should look at Sheffield Wednesday DM Sam Hutchison, boy got good height and strong plus he's out of contract come July, former Chelsea youth player had a bit of bad luck in his career but as we know warburton has done this with players before, any comments fellow bears?

19 Apr 2016 09:57:02
So regarding the cup final against hibs. anyone else rather annoyed at the fact it will be half and half allocation again, even though they only sold 10,000 tickets for their semi final game? surely It is only fair to give us a bigger allocation?

19 Apr 2016 10:19:14
Has that been confirmed? said on tv 13500 they took.

19 Apr 2016 10:51:50
Not confirmed yet however, that is the norm. Even at that if you only take 13,500 from a potential 21,000 tickets, then you don't deserve the full 21,000. give them 14,000 and give us even an extra 5,000. seems fair to me.

19 Apr 2016 14:46:47
I agree with that mate.

19 Apr 2016 10:54:55
hibs will fill the 25K for the final unfortunately, it is what it is, why not take it the Park Head lol gives up extra 10K lol!

19 Apr 2016 09:31:09
Rangers can look forward to 32 cup finals next season. Every team in that league will be desperate to beat us.
Talk sport yesterday " Rangers can save Scottish football".

19 Apr 2016 09:14:36
A quick question for the likes of MULLAD ALLY ABHABH BILLYB, if Dave King delivers on his promise this summer and provides the funds for our manager to build a squad ready to challenge for title next season would your opinion on him change? If not what would he have to do to get you to believe in him? i'm not trying to start any arguments, I was just wondering if you would ever believe in King or is your mistrust in him so deep you will never change your mind? Personally I think he's doing a cracking job as Chairman so far and will continue to do so but i'm also curious as to why you have such strong negative feelings towards him still, I get the criminal convictions, being part of David Murrays board, season ticket boycotts etc but don't you believe he's trying to redeem himself and is genuinely passionate about Rangers and will do whatever it takes to right any wrongs from the past?

19 Apr 2016 12:24:45
Good question janesaddiction, but I will never forgive him for trying to bring our club to its knees, with the boycotts. As I have stated many times previously, it could have been done in another manner.
Maybe that single-mindedness was necessary, but it doesn't mean I need to like his tactics, but as far as being on murray's board, so what. All I will say is that they are like 2 peas in a pod.
As far as our team is concerned, Sunday's result goes down as one of the best in my 60+ years as a bluenose. [ Kai's winner in the Scottish cup replay and Lovenkrands winner are still my 1 and 2.]
Time will tell if he "redeems" himself, but who cares if some of us don't agree with him, as long as our team do the business on the park.

19 Apr 2016 12:38:37
Billyb. I was at the 1966 Scottish Cup final replay as a 15 year-old and I think 96,000 fans saw Kai Johansen score that brilliant winning goal on a Wednesday night. Memories! Barrie's goal on Sunday was something special though.

19 Apr 2016 13:05:12
doiger i was at that game as a 19 year old, i used to do haulage work for kai great guy.

19 Apr 2016 20:24:56
Doiger, I was 15 as well. We were massive underdogs that night as well, and I totally agree about Barry's goal.

19 Apr 2016 20:24:56
Doiger, I was 15 as well. We were massive underdogs that night as well, and I totally agree about Barry's goal.

20 Apr 2016 14:16:21
I have said for 5 yrs, Dave King is the saviour of Rangers. he is misinterpreted and misunderstood by people who don't know the fact, he pleaded with us not to follow Whyte, green etc. that's why he advised a ST boycott, he knew they were rats. what part of that do some folk not get. ? Everything he did, he did for Rangers, god bless Mr King.

19 Apr 2016 07:04:22
Guard of honour for the league champions at Easter road 2moro night? haha ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚,

19 Apr 2016 07:28:00
Can see hibs bot doing it just out of badness. Like the manager said. If they do, they do. If they don't its no problem.

19 Apr 2016 08:07:40
Its a nice touch by any club to do it.

19 Apr 2016 10:46:45
Id like to see it happen, but I think against hibs at Easter road I think the chances are slim!

19 Apr 2016 11:45:35
I personally think that it should be expected by teams, but would you be happy if rangers done it if hibs had won the league?

19 Apr 2016 12:17:54
Nellylad

"dey do doe don't dey doe", as Stubbs would say.

19 Apr 2016 10:56:51
No we don't need it off the others and they will not do it as they playing us in final so will not want to show us any respect and I can't blame them tbh!
