19 Aug 2016 21:15:53
Why have the club not announced the signing of Garner? We usually get a photo of them at least with a scarf.

19 Aug 2016 22:06:26
boycott is still on at the megastore lol.

19 Aug 2016 22:04:36
Exactly what I think.

19 Aug 2016 22:09:53
i guess the club are not wanting to announce the deal until all the paperwork has been ratified by the relevant authorities. he would not have made his debut tomorrow anyway even if he was signed on time. i believe we will sign senderos as well and maybe another centre back. i also believe the lescott deal did fail because of medical reasons as i doubt mark warburton would have went all the way down south if he had not been given assurances over wages. i am glad he has not signed as senderos is younger and i believe a better defender.

19 Aug 2016 22:33:19
It's been a very strange day down ibrox way today mate I still thought the deal for garner was to be finalised on Monday I'm sure I heard on the news that garner will be in the stand for the game tomorrow.

19 Aug 2016 22:59:07
I reckon he has failed the medical and the club are saving his blushes by not announcing it. They are letting him use the excuse that his family don't want to move.

19 Aug 2016 20:31:06
Why would Lescot suddenly decide he had couldn't sign AFTER a medical for family reasons after coming all the way up to Glasgow? Something fishy.

19 Aug 2016 21:25:39
He is not fully fit and at this time in his career there was uncertainty on whether he could cope for 2 very competitive seasons with the physical demands and expectations up here.

19 Aug 2016 21:39:54
Well that's Dundee top league, we lasted for bit anyways :)

19 Aug 2016 21:44:32
What a load of nonsense. He will end up in the championship at worst which is 10 times more competitive than the spl. It's obviously money related.

19 Aug 2016 22:03:27
Birmingham mail states lescott couldn't agree personal terms as did AV owner all down to money.

19 Aug 2016 22:28:37
a few conflicting reports maybe something was wrong with the medical and we tried to alter the personal terms or something, either way it seems a very odd situation especially when he actually traveled up here after a meeting with warburton during the week when personal terms must have at the very least discussed in some context.

19 Aug 2016 23:50:48
Mark Warbuton said a long time ago that he only wanted players who wanted to play for our club. Jolean didn't so I don't want him either. A lot of posts on this site slate keirnan and Wilson for their supposed lack of quality but hey, we are where we are and they both have played a massive part of it. Young boys wanting and enjoying playing week in week out. I, for what it's worth, love their commitment and trust The Magic Hats faith in them.

20 Aug 2016 05:57:09
Think the boy wanted to come but AV have pulled the agreement about the last year of his contract.

20 Aug 2016 10:30:59
iTS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. AS USUAL.

19 Aug 2016 20:00:31
Anyone heard anything about crooks? Any idea when he will be back?

20 Aug 2016 07:54:13
Don't know why anyone pressed "disagree" on your question. Crooks is back in full training with the squad but MW said earlier this week that he'll probably need a few games with the u-20's for match practice as he hasn't played competitively for a few months. To me that suggests if all goes well he might make the bench within the next month. Just my opinion though.

20 Aug 2016 08:56:46
Thanks for the reply.

20 Aug 2016 11:40:05
Button bashers with sore knuckles.

19 Aug 2016 19:39:04
Disappointed the Lescott deal fell through for whatever reason but if there's something not right the club are bang on to let this one go.

Big Senderos will do a turn for us and if that's our final piece of business this window along with Garner I'd say it's been a job well done in terms of recruitment this summer.

19 Aug 2016 18:12:50
As per the recent signing policy, Garner (James Garner, of the Rockford Files) has signed on at ibrox
A spokesperson said, "he is a bit young for us but will grow into his new role".

19 Aug 2016 18:24:31
Timalloy on the Rangers page again, a spokesman said "obsessed"

19 Aug 2016 18:24:41
Well he ain't 35 and he does not have drug ban background.

19 Aug 2016 18:26:05
I'm sure Joseph will do well.

19 Aug 2016 18:44:01
Still obsessed with all things rangers Dimalloy!

19 Aug 2016 18:57:54
@Timalloy - your jokes are like your betting tips, a wee bit hit and miss. That was certainly in the Colin Nish camp!

19 Aug 2016 19:05:52
Wow such great comebacks ha ha, got something planed for posting next Tuesday night, keep watching hail hail.

19 Aug 2016 19:55:57
Tim if it's your bets for Celtic going out next week I'm in for a few quid!

19 Aug 2016 21:08:45
Tim you have to explain this one lol.

19 Aug 2016 21:13:40
Take it, it is wooden like your jokes?

20 Aug 2016 09:46:04
Dimalloy are you taking a bath for the first time on Tuesday is that the big plan or is Tuesday bone comb night for you?

19 Aug 2016 18:05:46
Sky sports app say the GARNER deal is done!

19 Aug 2016 17:46:41
passed the medical----but we could still get the greedy lad---you never know.

19 Aug 2016 16:55:42
Lescott couldn't agree personal terms with us according to di matteo. had a feeling we wouldn't get him.

19 Aug 2016 17:05:45
I am glad we never got him. Too old and can't pass water let alone the ball.

19 Aug 2016 17:42:00
People are just sayn that because we never got him. he would of been a class signing for us.

19 Aug 2016 16:55:35
Anyone think garner will be involved 2moro?

19 Aug 2016 17:17:54
Hopefully

Probably from the bench though.

19 Aug 2016 16:53:56
So Moyes denies Lescott interest wonder where he will go, suppose it doesn't matter now though.

19 Aug 2016 17:26:08
I think he failed the medical that's why moyes has dropped the interest and di Matteo does not want to admit there is a fitness problem.

19 Aug 2016 16:52:08
YES----now we have a SQUAD.

19 Aug 2016 16:15:17
Joe garner signs 3 year deal.

19 Aug 2016 16:03:48
"I have been lucky - lucky in those who were around me from the boardroom to the dressing-room. In time of stress, their unstinted support, unbroken devotion to our club and calmness in adversity eased the task of making Rangers FC the premier club in this country. "

"To be a Ranger is to sense the sacred trust of upholding all that such a name means in this shrine of football. They must be true in their conception of what the Ibrox tradition seeks from them. No true Ranger has ever failed in the tradition set him. "

"Our very success, gained you will agree by skill, will draw more people than ever to see it. And that will benefit many more clubs than Rangers. Let the others come after us. We welcome the chase. It is healthy for us. We will never hide from it. Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers. "

Mr Bill Struth.

19 Aug 2016 16:44:48
Powerful words and never fails to hit home exactly what it means to be Rangers. RIP Mr Struth.

19 Aug 2016 21:29:32
Well said Scotty123

Find it amazing that 2 people have registered disagreement with Mr Struth's famous and inspirational words, but then not everyone on here is a Ranger.

19 Aug 2016 15:40:41
Just my feeling on Senderos. He's been on trial hoping to win a deal then we went in for lescott and have been open about signing only one defender. How do you think he'll feel about signing knowing that he's our second choice or back up.

Will he still want to sign with that in mind. is he just wanting wages as he has no alternatives or will it not bother him?

19 Aug 2016 16:09:47
cartwheels----him and keirnen.

19 Aug 2016 16:14:43
Garner just signed 3 year deal, for all you non believers, done deal .

19 Aug 2016 16:15:53
My guess is that MW made him fully aware of the situation. For all we know he could've signed both or is not planning to sign Senderos. We'll need to wait and see. I get what you mean tho, I wouldn't like to be someone's back up choice.

19 Aug 2016 17:47:31
Do we really want senderos now if he wasn't fancied in first place.

19 Aug 2016 18:08:48
Why don't we go for a solid defender in Anderson of Saint Johnstone less money and already can do a job in this league we don't need this big star just someone who attacks the ball at corners.

19 Aug 2016 20:04:10
My understanding was that the hat was going to sign both of them.

20 Aug 2016 08:40:13
Senderos will be solid for Rangers. Get behind him.

19 Aug 2016 15:06:20
i wonder what the odds are on the Joe Garner deal collapsing too? its just a thot.

19 Aug 2016 16:04:57
You never know mate. JL family failed a medical today! MSM Spin trying to steer down the failed medical, Family reasons route. Front loaded said Mr King. Over Investment? Villa where going to pay 90% of his wages and it falls apart over money. Is there nothing nowadays that doesn't turn into a side show circus?

19 Aug 2016 16:24:59
Garner signed 3 year deal, source skysports news.

19 Aug 2016 14:31:03
Team to tomorrow. Don't believe Holt or Windass fully fit and available.

19 Aug 2016 14:39:23
Can't see MW going two at the top after all this time.

19 Aug 2016 14:40:49
Agree that will probably be the team that starts pal.

A'd give MOH a start over McKay. He's more direct an actually gets a cross in. wee bazza seems to overthink his attack far too often.

19 Aug 2016 14:42:29

19 Aug 2016 16:23:10
rfc first of all McKay is our best player by a good distance also they both play on opposite sides and McKay can play on both but moh is only good on the right or through the middle.

19 Aug 2016 18:13:07
mckays passes beyond the defence is amazing little chip passes to wallace are great to see.

19 Aug 2016 18:06:00
I can't believe we have the same back four as last season I thought we had a chance a think if we get above hearts and Aberdeen it would be a massive achievement
Garner and senderos will be welcome but we definitely need a proper CB SOON.

19 Aug 2016 20:01:56
Difference of opinion here James.

McKay loses the ball more often than he skins a player or delivers a cross.

A believe the boys talented, just doesny know when to get rid'a the baw. Frustrates me 2/ 3 games.

Oor best player? Come oan noo jamesy.

20 Aug 2016 08:42:51
James Stirling yet again your showing a lack of football knowledge by suggesting McKay is our best player by some distance. He is a great player bags of potential but luckily we have large quantities of that at our club.

19 Aug 2016 14:20:43
Quick question, who do you think is the highest earner and how much do you reckon they are on. Nobody seems concerned now about the wages side of it.

19 Aug 2016 14:39:52
Barton £18-20K.

19 Aug 2016 14:05:26
Mr nice how do you know for a 100% fact he never sat a medical. both bbc and stv saying it is a failed medical. I think the club should make a statement why he is not signing. I am not to bothered about him anyway.

19 Aug 2016 14:40:40
Yeah I would like to know Mr Nice's sources too.

19 Aug 2016 16:36:14
Bill, Villa boss Di Matteo has been quoted as saying Lescott PASSED the medical so it's safe to assume that the medical did take place. Think Mr. Nice got this one completely wrong. I don't understand how he was so certain tho? I'm still intrigued.

Never mind. This old news now anyway. Onwards and upwards.

19 Aug 2016 16:49:10
The medical was taken and issues came from it. Best all round for Rangers and JL that "family reasons" prevented the transfer going thru! 100% Not worth risking his wages for 2 year deal.

19 Aug 2016 13:46:36
afternoon lads, been speaking to a few of ma mates who are big bears fans about the lescott situation, they are putting the blame on dave king, they also don't think youll get the lad garner and its all paper talk to appease the fans, ( if its in the papers the supporters know we tried etc), just wondering if anyone else feels this way?

19 Aug 2016 14:36:46
People will always overthink things. Either the guy has had a last minute call from his old boss (Moyes), about a move to Sunderland, or he really has failed a medical. No story here, please move on. The Garner deal will go ahead at the start of next week.

19 Aug 2016 14:41:51
Naw. Deals fall through all the time. No biggy.

19 Aug 2016 14:43:40
Keep dreaming you dafty!

19 Aug 2016 14:54:43
No don't go along with the conspiracy theory, sorry. Either he has a medical issue or has had a last minute change of mind. Either way he is history and we move on.

19 Aug 2016 15:31:21
Yeah i said the same to them, think they were just raging as they really wanted him because he would know how to deal with SS. Infinity wots your prob ya doughnut?, are people not allowed to come on and ask a question? wots up son you seem a tad upset?

19 Aug 2016 15:56:56
Suggesting we've had a bid for a player accepted but are only pretending we can afford him is daft! It's pretty simple.

19 Aug 2016 16:20:22
I'm guessing Sinclair will find his way into one of the people's pockets. Celtic players love it in there ya know. All nice and cozy. Tucked up. I'm guessing he'll have a shot in the entire Rangers XI pockets at some stage.

19 Aug 2016 16:22:35
The Lescott deal collapse must give us concerns over the Garner move.
Both seemed done and dusted on Wednesday but now one is over and the other being carried over until next week. Its never over until players have signed on the dotted line, so let's hope we have other targets lined up that can improve the squad. On-wards and upwards and let's get three points tomorrow.

19 Aug 2016 16:39:07
Drew, Garner had been pictured at MP getting shown the facilities with a 3 year deal on the cards. Because 1 deal falls through doesn't mean they all will. It's refreshing tbh that MW and staff are taking so much time before spending our money. In the past we would've rushed these things and it didn't always work out.

19 Aug 2016 13:49:11
Normally we would've signed a player with a bad knee or failed a medical. Done it so many times in the past with the player sitting in stand getting fat in the belly and fat in the pocket. So I'm glad Lescott wasn't signed for that reason.

However, wouldn't it be ironic if he goes on to sign for Sunderland and had the season of his career?

19 Aug 2016 14:27:46
I doubt he failed the medical and in nearly all the reports I have read it said he knocked us back due to family reasons as they wanted to stay in England.

Personally I reckon we could not offer him enough money as Sunderland are offering more, which is hardly surprising considering the difference in our finances.

19 Aug 2016 14:39:09
Too bad tbh. He's not coming and that's the end of it. I feel Senderos will be a better option anyway. Garner to sign on Monday. All good.

19 Aug 2016 14:44:46
We've had too many expensive invalids players in the past picking up big wages. Any doubts with the medical then we did the right thing.

19 Aug 2016 14:55:01
Yeah it's old news now. Let's see if big Senders can agree terms and do a job for us.

19 Aug 2016 13:34:44
Sure the last time I seen lescott his legs were sill attached to the rest of his body james Stirling.

19 Aug 2016 14:15:26
He's not going to sign so obviously he's totally rubbish, as is always the way.

Failed medical obviously, no way there could possibly be another reason. Bet anyone he passes one at Sunderland in next few days.

Once again he definitely did not even start his medical today.

{Ed001's Note - Demba Ba failed numerous medicals at clubs, but still passed them at others within days. Every club has a different medical, often it is related to insurance requirements.}

19 Aug 2016 14:41:02
Ed, you were very critical of his physical condition when the story broke earlier in week, assume you think we have dodged a bullet?

{Ed001's Note - very much so. He has dodgy knees, he failed a medical at Villa initially. The guy is a spent force.}

19 Aug 2016 14:57:39
Remi is another one to fail medicals at some clubs while pass at others due to his heart problem. Like Ed said it comes down to insurance and a docs opinion.

{Ed001's Note - there are a lot more failed medicals than people realise. One of the things Leicester have done is avoid anyone with a history of injury of any kind. It has done them no harm at all, as they were able to keep their team fit all season.}

19 Aug 2016 15:38:06
Ed I assume failed medicals don't circulate within the media as it would be unprofessional of clubs to release this confidential info and prevent a player landing a contract elsewhere. Otherwise there would be a lot of players out of work before their time.

{Ed001's Note - yes, they don't tend to make the information public. With every club having different requirements, it is not always that relevant to the next club anyway. I mean a player joining a club to be a back up is not going to undergo the same amount of stress to their body as a first choice starter. Plus clubs work with different insurers, who have different requirements to insure a player. It used to be common practice for medical records to have 'gaps' in them when a player was being transferred to make sure the buying club did not look too closely at old injuries. That is more difficult to do now though.}

19 Aug 2016 16:22:22
Nice input Ed.

{Ed001's Note - cheers.}

19 Aug 2016 17:23:36
Yes good comments Ed, cheers.

{Ed001's Note - thanks.}

19 Aug 2016 13:33:48
Anyone think we will sign senderos and lescott as I would not see any point in keeping him training with us if we are not going to sign him.

19 Aug 2016 14:18:43
If senderos was what we needed then why was MW pulling out all the stops to sign someone else.

Remember MW rubbished reports of senderos several weeks ago. What's changed- we have got desperate.

Where is the strategy and long term planning here?

19 Aug 2016 14:28:52
I reckon we will offer Senderos a contract (he was my preferred choice as Lescott is slow and older) . Whether or not he accepts remains to be seen.

19 Aug 2016 15:42:25
Lescott played 33 games for Villa last year. With Villa relegated the are trimming the financial fat. Senders was allowed to join Grasshopers in Jan on a 6 month contract which was not renewed. On paper, Leacott had more game time and confidence from his previous management. So MW is wise to see him in training himself before making any decisions. I don't think we are desperate. I think we are being smart.

19 Aug 2016 13:15:19
I would be happy with Sendeross over Lescot, let's not get to worried about him not coming, not like he some world beater he 34 and had is in the twilight at least Senderos has a few years left in him!

Hopefully Garner concluded today, this is the modern day Super Ally, scores all sorts of goals all types, really excited for him to sign, straight up through the middle number 9, no nonsense.

19 Aug 2016 13:23:23
Spot on!

19 Aug 2016 13:37:04
m3lvo my friend I like your optimism but modern day goal machine I think we will have to wait and see lol!
I hope u are right and he can put the fear of god into defences the way super ally did.

19 Aug 2016 14:30:05
He scored 6 goals in the Championship last season, hardly the next Ally McCoist. Hopefully he bangs in more than that for us though as we need a striker.

19 Aug 2016 15:06:06
Go on to you tube and see the goals he scores, every type, in the box outside box tap ins long rangers, headers, skill, luck, knee arse, he gets the ball in the net great variati0on. I mean in that respect, I know last year he had a poor season but the 2 seasons before he scored 20+ that is good going.

19 Aug 2016 15:23:33
Hogg he's played more than one season of football. Overall he's approx. 1 goal every 3 matches but has proven in two separate seasons he's capable of scoring more than 1 goal every 2 matches. Definitely a proven goalscorer. Comparing him to super ally? well we'll just have to wait and see.

19 Aug 2016 15:42:47
If you actually look at his record most of the goals he has scored have been in the lower leagues and when he has played in the Championship his record is not that great.

For that reason it remains to be seen if he will be able to raise his game and score consistently at a higher level. Obviously, we will give him a chance and our support but let's not compare him to McCoist, who is our clubs most successful goal scorer.

19 Aug 2016 16:28:21
Yes the lower leagues of England. Still very competitive with a decent standard of football. He can only score against the teams that's put in front of him. We'll see how he gets on in Scotland. I think we can compare him to any player, Super Ally included, just depends what your comparing. Prolific? Maybe not. Style? Yes sort of. Banter? No idea. So on and so forth. Nobody was saying he is an exact replica of Sir Ally, only similar.

19 Aug 2016 18:24:58
The point is, he was not scoring regularly (1 in 6 if your lucky) against the teams put in front of him when it came to the Championship.

That is not to say he won't do it in Scotland. I am just off the opinion that his record is not particularly great when he has played at his highest level to warrant such praise yet.

19 Aug 2016 13:14:02
Official story goes that Lescott not joining due to "family reasons". Some family he has letting him fly up to Glasgow for a medical before telling him they have an issue. I smell BS, BBC and STV both reporting he failed his medical.

19 Aug 2016 13:41:56
if it was family reasons he wouldn't have even entertained the idea.
imo its because he is old with bad legs and would make clint hill look like usain bolt.

19 Aug 2016 13:50:18
The official story is he failed the medical.

19 Aug 2016 14:19:43
Perhaps his family want him to move to Sunderland?

19 Aug 2016 14:31:09
If he signs for Sunderland in the next few days we will know that the medical story is bollocks as well. My guess is Sunderland are offering more cash.

19 Aug 2016 13:12:22
Doesn't matter why Lescott won't join we need to move on and trust MW and his team to get the right man in.

19 Aug 2016 13:19:44
Problem is MW keeps finding the right man but club can't complete the deals.

I know (not think, or made up) that lescott never sat his medical. Why is something i don't know.

19 Aug 2016 15:25:08
Mr Nice we are all dying to know how you know this for fact? Please tell. The anticipation is killing us.

19 Aug 2016 13:03:51
Why is it whenever we get linked with someone they are brilliant but as soon as it doesn't happen they are terrible?!

19 Aug 2016 13:11:40
Yea I've noticed this aswell. The "thank god for that" brigade. I for one am a little bit gutted. Thought he could have done a decent job.

19 Aug 2016 13:12:41
Brilliant, you must be kidding, the legs have gone.

19 Aug 2016 13:34:14
Hindsight is a wonderful thing eh.

19 Aug 2016 13:56:12
iv said it from when we where first linked with him that his legs have gone and he is terrible because I actually watch football. all football any football football all the time .
lol.

19 Aug 2016 14:20:31
Where have his legs gone? Sunderland?

19 Aug 2016 12:37:58
a lot of talk of Lescott failing his medical. I believe he failed it last year at Aston Villa aswell. Nothing to do with "family reasons".

19 Aug 2016 12:46:09
He never got as far as starting medical.

19 Aug 2016 13:00:26
Will be interesting where Lescote ends up. Was a great player but has lots of baggage and his legs have gone.

19 Aug 2016 14:20:53
Sunderland.

19 Aug 2016 12:32:30
What is going on with our transfer deals- lescott has done the same as marriapa and Taylor and turned down the move when it looked like they were poised to sign.

Then there's the garner deal dragging on and on when it should have been a simple deal, PNE have done their bit- again a hold up at last minute when we are trying to seal deal. Can't help but think there is every chance it won't happen either.

Are we not offering enough money or is it a lack of experience in negotiating deals. Player's do what is in their best interest, seems strange that they seem willing to come and last minute hitches are scuppering deals.

19 Aug 2016 12:45:05
Just going through the motions, kidding on they're trying to buy players, your all being led up the garden path again, and yet again your all helping them do it.

19 Aug 2016 13:27:16
Neither Taylor or Mariappa were anywhere close to signing!

19 Aug 2016 13:46:58
Aw aye cause the previous 9 deals that have went through were all like this?

Things take time, some more than others. Miss out on targets here and there but i'd pretty sure Garner is as much a done deal as any can be with their club publicly saying its as good as done and they have our money spent on new players.

19 Aug 2016 14:08:01
Spot on infinity they held talks that's as far as it went.

They both discussed terms with view to a move. Not sure how much closer things can get.

Player's don't discuss terms if they aren't potentially open to the move.

Do you go to job interviews when you aren't interested in job? (I do realize some benefits claimers might)

19 Aug 2016 14:33:20
Lescott will get a deal at another EPL club, so suspect he was not happy with the terms being offered.

19 Aug 2016 12:00:45
Senderos it is then, assuming he's content being the club's second choice.

19 Aug 2016 12:19:41
The hat says he looking very good. Much better option for me as he's the better footballer, cheaper, faster and at a much better age!

19 Aug 2016 12:35:48
Senderos is honking, has been for over a decade. Rather we signed nobody than him.

Signing him is out of pure desperation- he's so good that we have been trying to sign someone else while he's been on trial.

19 Aug 2016 12:39:53
lescott was never a good idea for me anyways and I don't think he would have passed a medical if it was done properly the guy can't run and is too slow.

19 Aug 2016 11:55:37
Lescott has turned down the gers siting family reasons aw well move on Senderos a good back up and younger as well. It also highlights that we are willing to pay up good wages for the right signing.

19 Aug 2016 12:18:35
Darn it had him counted.

19 Aug 2016 12:40:17
Yeah the family issues were that they wanted more money.

19 Aug 2016 11:55:30
Lescott has decided against a move to rangers due to family reasons!

19 Aug 2016 12:15:40
he couldn't agree terms after rangers found a problem with his knee.

19 Aug 2016 11:53:16
SSN just reported Lescott has turned us down. Family reasons.

19 Aug 2016 12:44:52
thank goodness for that. never rated him and always thought he was a bit of a chancer.

19 Aug 2016 08:45:58
Right here's an inside look at my brain guff. I am in awe of MW, DW and FMcP.

Every US sports biography starts like this. Team people have written off over come great odds to achieve greatness. It starts with an ambitious, intelligent manager who will stop at nothing to succeed. (A self fulfilling prophecy calling him the Maguc Hat when he truly is a magician) . The manager puts together a team of players on a shoe string, many have been written off by the media and other teams/ fans, some are young and working under the radar. The team gel together and go on an incredible unbeaten run to achieve glory. The SPL and then the Champions League. And it all started with a bit of hope.

Hahahaha ok so a bit much. But we really need to stop the negativity and pessimism and realise what's actually being achieved here. I can't name a manager or staff that's done what Rabgers are currently achieving with player acquisitions. Players who famously have a love for money are forgetting all about that and joining Rangers to be part of something greater. The team we are putting together on the resources we have is awe inspiring to me. Especially in the current market. These players know what Rangers is all about and want to join our famous club. They're knocking back the "best league in the world" to join us. Let's get behind them and support them 100%. Who knows we might be getting a call from Hollywood in 2 years time. Hahaha.

19 Aug 2016 09:29:58
Great post Bilbo well done.

19 Aug 2016 10:27:17
If only we were all Rabgers fans though.

19 Aug 2016 10:36:12
Great input, Bird swing. Cheers appreciate it.

19 Aug 2016 11:49:19
Well put!

19 Aug 2016 11:58:29
Brilliant post bilbo. There was a wee movie made called, a sotto of glory. Was along those lines. You should look it up if you haven't already seen it. Stars a hero of mine, a certain Ally McCoist!
Also has quite a few of the lesser known Rangers at the time in it.

19 Aug 2016 12:34:37
is rab gers our new striker? daily raggard probably have him as a certain signing- then it s all off at last minute due to the heavy rain in scotland.

19 Aug 2016 12:48:26
Agree, it's a great time for us, with players, quality players moving here because of the club, and in these times that is more of an achievement.

19 Aug 2016 13:43:42
Pie and bovril. I was in the crowd at hampden for this movie. Got signed programme meant for the cast and a Tennents Parker pen. Will never forget it.

19 Aug 2016 13:46:39
Gcameron sye thst right mste, spot on. How did you know? My sources told me thst he wss going to sign but wss overly pedsntic snd crspped his psnts.

19 Aug 2016 07:24:40
Looks like Sunderland are about to snatch Lescott just as he was ready to sign - offering him a "megabucks" deal, take it with a pinch of salt though as it was reported by the Daily Rhebel.

19 Aug 2016 08:01:36
Just realised I read that wrong bears my bad! He's set to reject a deal with them worth more money to join us!

19 Aug 2016 08:07:00
He has turned down a "megabucks" deal at Sunderland to come to rangers as he is still getting quite a bit of cash at us.

19 Aug 2016 08:07:24
The post says he is willing to snub the mega deal to join us.

19 Aug 2016 08:21:15
Not sure if you read the story right. Rebel has reported he is ready to reject Sunderland and sign for us. Not the other way about.

19 Aug 2016 09:02:39
If he cared about the money wouldn't be coming here mate! He's 100% signing!

19 Aug 2016 09:11:41
Mate it says "spurn" a mega bucks deal at Sunderland. Spurn.

19 Aug 2016 09:42:57
I know lads, corrected myself straight away if you look at the top. Apologies there!

19 Aug 2016 10:29:09
You had us all scratching there RGbear.

19 Aug 2016 10:37:17
We all make mistakes 👍🏼.

19 Aug 2016 12:53:31
rfc infinity i'm glag you where 100% wrong he is 100%not joining us had bad knees is far tooo slow and can't defend anywhere near the way he did when he was a top defender.

19 Aug 2016 05:42:04
Sorry bears but am I the only one who has thought JL has been overrated his whole playing life. I've never really been convinced by senderos either. Just need to trust the manager u suppose.

19 Aug 2016 07:05:49
Nope don't agree blueshaun, lescott will be a very good signing for us and at 34 years old we'd still get a good 3 years out of him, remembering centre halfs play longer in their careers, senderos would also be a good signing and will be pretty comfortable playing in scottish football.

19 Aug 2016 08:22:30
Lescott has turned down Sunderland and will sign for rangers today along with garner.

19 Aug 2016 09:06:08
Yes I have always thought this and was pretty vocal about it! He is joining though and will give him a chance. It is true that he's not playing against world class players now and he might feel like he's got a point to prove. He's at least strong in the air and will cause a real threat at set pieces!

19 Aug 2016 12:56:21
at 34 u think we would have got 3 years out of him even though he has been fiished for the last two if u watch football down south you would know this! I said it all along he does have the legs anymore and he has done us a favour by signing elsewhere.
yes the villa side he played in where poor but he for me was one of their worst .
he for me used to be top defender but last 2 seasons he hasn't had the legs stamina or drive.
