Daily record spouting about will Rangers catch Celtic for a title race? It's too soon to call that right now but if Aberdeen beat Celtic then it's game on I do believe.

20 Feb 2018 07:44:17
a draw is better for us.

20 Feb 2018 09:16:14
Won’t catch them and there is no way McInnes and his bottlers will beat them on Sunday

20 Feb 2018 10:28:49
ArthurD, agree with you on this one. Celtic have too much quality and 9 points too big a gap to bridge at this stage. We would need to take maximum points from remaining 11 games and don’t think any of us can see that happen particularly with our erratic Home form and conceding goals for fun.

20 Feb 2018 13:59:50
Tend to agree, nothing Aberdeen have done suggests a victory over Celtic on Sunday however they won’t be back from Russia until the early hours of Friday and that will affect them so it might give Aberdeen a chance!

The most important thing is that we beat Hearts and a few goals would be good also!

20 Feb 2018 17:19:42
I've been watching the game of footy for a wee while now (over 50 years) and there's nothing I've ever seen to suggest the sheep have a game in them against Celtic. Would love to be proved wrong but I doubt it somehow!

19 Feb 2018 17:53:43
There are dreamers and believers. The former want Celtic to beat Aberdeen so we can clinch second. The latter want Aberdeen to win. Dave King landed in South Africa with a hundred quid in his pocket. A believer I reckon.

20 Feb 2018 13:10:37
I want the sheep to win as second will happen but bring the points gap down so we have more fight in the remaining old firms.
we Need To Win The Next Four Games And Then i'd Start To Believe

19 Feb 2018 15:22:34
Great reports on young Ryan Hardie and Robby McCrorie out on loan. Hardie scored 2 goals against leaders St Mirren to take his total to 5 in 5. Young McCorie man of the match for Berwick on saturday. Expect young McCorie to be joining his brother in first team squad next season together with Hardie.

19 Feb 2018 18:32:34
About time for Hardie!

19 Feb 2018 18:48:47
hardie will have to be given a new contract first as present one runs out in summer

19 Feb 2018 23:00:28
Hardie has had his chance under 3 managers and they did not rate him. I wish the boy luck but can't see him in our plans going forward. He is at his level now.

20 Feb 2018 08:46:55
Think hardie should definitely be given contract. In the past we have let a young striker leave in Ross mcormack and he went on to do pretty well. Keep him. Watched the juventus doc on Netflix, the passion and love the players have for the club is to be admired. All clubs need that. Hopefully with some rangers fans back in team we can get Ibrox back as a fortress and stop accepting 2nd best. Because its not acceptable for our great club.

20 Feb 2018 13:15:55
Hardie looks like a player to be fair and if u haven't seen him play don't Judge Hi. He Needs Game Time And He Would Be worth Money But He needs To Be Loaned Out Again For Firsg Team Football But Has to Be At A Better Level

20 Feb 2018 15:16:28
There is development in him yet. To write him off at 20 would be absurd.

If Spurs had did the same they would never have the free scoring Harry Kane playing for them now.
He was 20 before really breaking into the team, only a few odd appearances before (similar to Hardie) .
He doesn't have a great record from his loan spells. Also, previous managers had not deemed him good enough yet.

So give the lad a chance. I think there might still be a player there. And if it didn't work out to be, then it's not been a costly exercise to find out

19 Feb 2018 14:19:43
COME ON RANGERS! Let's keep the momentum going and sort this home form out, that lot from t'other side will crumble and hopefully, HOPEFULLY we will snatch the title from under their complacent snouts!

19 Feb 2018 22:39:49
Nothing wrong with a bit of belief but its to much of an ask i'm afraid. keep momentum going into next season and give it a right good go

19 Feb 2018 23:58:45
How is 8 points too much of an ask? We still have to play the shower from the dark side twice!

20 Feb 2018 07:37:47
Would love it but doubt celtic to lose 9 points. You never know though.

20 Feb 2018 09:25:35
Doubt celtic will lose 9 points? They've dropped 7 since the turn of the year, they're away in Russia on Thursday and up to the sheep on Sunday - that coupled with 2 OF's, I may be a dreamer but it's not impossible.

20 Feb 2018 13:18:24
I hope they get through in Europe as they will need to play on two fronts which celtic historically and recently struggle with. Mon The Rangers

20 Feb 2018 14:43:47
I'm keeping the faith on this one this could go right to the wire as long as we cut all school boy errors, realistically we should be more confident with playing at home, I hope murty is banging on to the players about this possibility of catching right up and in turn they find good motivation

20 Feb 2018 15:13:21
We are scoring goals from all over. If we can tighten up the defence you just never know. They are nowhere near as good as they think they are and it could yet prove to be their undoing.

19 Feb 2018 09:17:33
With the smelly lot dropping points yesterday it could prove to be an interesting title run in! Am not saying we are going to catch them but we still have 2 old firm games to go! IF and its a big IF we can stop leaking we won't be far away! Thoughts bears!

19 Feb 2018 09:51:09
One game at a time, 6 pts required from two tough games sat/ tues then we can start looking up the league, It’s important to build on these results and Ibrox has been a problem for us. I think we are too predictable at Ibrox and would love to see us go 2 up top and surprise hearts, we need to be on the front foot early on in this one!

19 Feb 2018 10:17:31
Thought Fod slow to get down and should have been able to save 1st Hamilton goal. Still decent performance and very good result on a difficult pitch. Will mean nothing though if we cannot beat Hearts next week.

19 Feb 2018 10:51:31
If the sheep can take points off them on Sunday and we beat Hearts then it’s going to be an interesting game on the 11th.

19 Feb 2018 11:05:21
Agreed colster. Just makes you think if only we'd won these games against Hamilton and St. Johnstone a few weeks ago. I've said all along that celtic and Brenda are not half as good as they think. 11th March is shaping up to be some game. Let's hope we don't suffer any more injuries.

19 Feb 2018 13:18:27
Only if we win the Hearts and St Johnstone games first, then beat Celtic at Ibrox will I believe we can win the title.

It's very frustrating when you look at the games we have lost since Murty took charge, Hamilton and St Johnstone as home etc. We need to sort the home form out and you just never know.

19 Feb 2018 15:11:07
Yeah Doiger. We've handed them the title this year. not just us but Aberdeen also. If both of us had been just a bit more consistent then it would have been interesting to see them under a bit of pressure. However lots of big matches between now and the end of the season and we Must finish second at worst.

19 Feb 2018 15:24:17
We need to cement second place first and foremost, personally I think the title well and truly went long ago. I would prefer them beating the sheep tbh.

19 Feb 2018 16:05:40
Guys, much as it would interesting if Aberdeen won or even drew against Celtic but I can't see it happening. They bottle it in all the big games, so if we can beat Hearts we should be three points ahead in second place. Much as I'd love to think there could be some sort of title race on it won't happen unless we won all our remaining games, which is highly unlikely. Even if we managed somehow to win both Celtic games and that's a BIG ask, we're more than likely to drop points when Celtic don't. We should gauge our season on closing the gap as much as possible, finish second and maybe win the Scottish Cup. The league is already gone I fear - too much ground to make up over eleven games.

19 Feb 2018 22:22:49
Beats hearts at the brox and its 6pts before they kick a ball. They will buckle under that pressure. C'mon rangers.

19 Feb 2018 22:25:49
Course you would calvin.

19 Feb 2018 22:29:33
Let’s take care of our own business and win the games against Hearts and St J, continue to build some momentum and hopefully tighten up at the back. I would take a draw between celtic and the sheep

19 Feb 2018 23:44:44
My personal opinion is we need to look at a new keeper fods is suspect to low shots and every team in Scotland know that now if we are to build a title winning team you need to start at the back get rid of or loan out alnwick and bring in Tim krul as he is available for free in the summer.

20 Feb 2018 10:10:05
Sorry I don't live in your wee fantasy world Coldo but being realistic we would need to win all our remaining games which is never going to happen because remember we are only one game away where we drop points and its all doom and gloom on her again and we're back down to 3rd. That's why a tic result against the sheep is far better for us as its us buckling under pressure that is the major worry!

20 Feb 2018 15:28:35
Give us peace Calvin. 3 points against Hearts leaves it at 6 points before they kick a ball. A hard trip to Russia and then up to the sheep. You telling me that Aberdeen can't take a point or a win? Now I'm not saying that it will happen but what I am saying is that with a hard trip to Russia and then up to the sheep that it is very possible that they could drop points and if they do then it is very much game on.

Yes, Rangers need to go on a run but the more points they drop the more we breed confidence and I'll tell you something else, if the gap is around the 5pt to 7pt mark come their visit to Ibrox, they will not fancy it. You have a cheek to talk about doom and gloom, as someone said on here the other day, you would give a prozac depression.

The only fantasy about here is you trying to kid everyone on that you are a Rangers fan. So Calvin at the weekend there did Celtic drop two points or did they gain a point? Try no blow your cover with your answer.

20 Feb 2018 16:26:02
Coldo your missing the point, of course the sheep can take points off that lot however is that really a benefit to us? Can we really win the league or are you just being optimistic? I'm being realistic the league is well amd truly gone therefore considering we are still fighting for second place and the split is upon us highlights we are not capable of winning the league cup never mind the league title therefore the best result for us is a Celtic win against the sheep. I admire your optimisim however there is no chance we will win the league👍

20 Feb 2018 17:09:45
Oh and to answer your question Rangers or Celtic will always see it as points dropped against teams they are expected to beat, technically they did stretch their lead to 9 points as they were 8 clear going into that round of fixtures. Anymore ridiculous single fish you want me to clear up for you?

20 Feb 2018 18:25:54
You don't need to clear anything up for me, of course its a benefit to us. With two old firm games left we are more than capable of taking the points off them. The only single fish I'm reading is in your posts. Aye let's hope celtic beat aberdeen.
