Never realised beattie was back after reading he was on the bench tonight. After being on a season loan is he fully fit and up to standard or just another bench warmer?

Get rid of him. The boy heamings (spelling) has done more in 2 pre seasons games than what he has done since he signed

I watched the game tonight and in my opinion Mr Beattie is a has been- a dud send him home free up his wages he brings nothing to the team.

Naw, hes fully fat and lazy. He'll never get a run in the team and the sooner he's punted the better. Came on in the 2nd half and did f*ck all. I'd better stop now, already had my rant about Beattie tonight.

hullo hullo bluenoses, there has been alot of talk on this site at different times about weiss returning to ibrox some of us wouldnt like to see it happen and some fans would love nothing more.in my opinion he didnt set the world alight every game he played last season but did show flashes of brilliance before his injury.not every footballer can play for our great club with the history, traditions and expectations.some come and improve and thrive (goarm & novo) and some dont get us and we dont get them (boli & capucho) but if you cut wee vladimir weiss open he would bleed blue blood just like you or me, and he has the potential to torture the unwashed for the next 10 years laudrup-esque. agree/sign him disagree/dont sign him W.A.T.P. {Ed046's Note -

I agree, sometimes players just find their club and they become special players for that club and that club alone. I dinnae think Man City could ever have the soul and history of Rangers and I think that's the difference for players like Weiss. They know they're part of the family and it shows in their game. I think Albertz was that kind of player, wouldnae say he was a great all round player but he was magnificent for us and was blue through and through....couldnae tackle a fish supper though lol

How did McCabe, Fleck, Wylde, Hutton, Benkison(spelling) and Hemming do or any other young players that play against Blackpool

All played very well

They all did not bad mate. They all looked a wee bit lacking in sharpness but put in a decent shift. A few tasty challenges flying around for a pre season friendly so it wasn't a stroll in the park. Hutton played a sweet defence splitting ball through to Hemmings at one point but he bottled it a wee bit. Should have rounded the keeper but struck it straight at him. Well timed run to collect the ball in the first place though. Looks like Advocaats 10 year plan for Murray Park to produce quality was spot on.

Impressed with first half but just found out its Blackpools first friendly of pre-season. Fair play tho the boys look sharper, Davis looks eager to prove his worth, Ortiz looks pretty quick and no complaints in defense.

DJ Campbell out for 2nd half, now theres aplayer I think would be worth shelling out £1.25m on.

Heres hoping for another couple of goals

Whyte 'has' put his money up, hence the long contracts for the players already there, inc 22k a week for Whittaker (too much if you ask me) McCoist has also confirmed, that he is being backed to the hilt by the chairman.......Unfortuneately, the fact is , that the men in charge, be it Ally, Durranty, Kenny Mac Dowell, or Gordon Smith or even Ali Russell can't attract players to Rangers....that is our problem....the money is there....McCoist has just stated that ''he'' won't be paying a million for Rodriguez, his shout not Whyte's.

Players are choosing lower leagues instead of Scottish football and Rangers.

Ally has said that he wants the players, not the agents in front of him, so that he can sell the club to them.....that's a decent shout, 'but the problem is 'Ally' that's the way things are done now (rightly or wrongly) and he should have known that.
The funds ''are'' there....something else is missing.

I want Cuellar back because he only left to try and get into the Spain National team but i don't want Miller back because he has had only 1 very good season and he thinks he is bigger than the club

Bartley to stay at gunners to fight for his place , so that aint going to happen on ssn , cuellar won't sign as I don't think any1 would drop 20k a week especially when he is getting to this stage in his career , ally would do no harm in going for upson maybe a bit steep on the wage front but ucl football may get him in the door , also we should be looking for a goal scoring midfielder and a wide player for the left , I hope we wait to see what is on offer with loans from the top London clubs ,

don't think the rangers vs chelsea game is live, i'm sure it's being shown at 10pm on the 6th aug, full match but not live, plus you have to subscribe for two months at 7.99 per month and give them 30 days notice for cancellations which is practically next couple of days if you just want it for the two months

This guy was named the Dutch footballer of the year, U21 Dutch international and seems to b a hot prospect. If he was available for 2 million I feel he's a player we should be going for. Get a good couple of seasons out him then sell him on for a profit (the only way we're goin to get quality young players)

Once again we will miss out in 2 signing targets(ceullar, miller) gers fans led up the garden path again just to up the season ticket sales fed up wae this be patient p..s 3 days tae new season and 1 signing we done better in the transfer Market when we had no money or is it because players wanted to play under sir Walter or uncertainy over this sectarian cloud over Scotland .

I have decided not to renew my season ticket weeks ago as I said at the time too much smoke and mirrors now I hope Im wrong..but what if the previous board members were right? I think had that been most of us under the circumstances we would have shown them we were telling the truth then kicked them out but it happened in reverse so to speak why? someone has to be hiding something.

Also did anyone see the asian guy on the tv programme the other night who knew Alex ferguson etc selling english football clubs for not a lot of money etc interesting programme I felt it smacked a bit of what seems to be going on here. were they right?

Ok let's knock a few rumours on the head verhoek won't be coming altho rangers have been monitoring senior ibrox officials have revealed they have decided against making a 2m bid. Cuellar who is in Spain and ally has said he wants an answer by close of play today or he's pulling the plug expect this deal to collapse. Cardiff are in for miller but his first choice is rangers and he is waiting on rangers making a bid. This will come today and miller will fly in to sign before the euro deadline. The only other signing before 11 pm on thurs will be a loan move for khumalo from spurs after the cuellar deal collapses.
