I can't see us signing may and waghorn similar players in my opionion both 5'10 in height so probably just 1 of them

Agree6 Disagree2

19 Jul 2015 19:21:26
What has height got to do with anything? I thought we've moved away from this punt it to the big man up top carry on

19 Jul 2015 20:09:33
There both small strikers we will only sign 1 of them because we will only play 1 out and out striker!

Agree1 Disagree4

19 Jul 2015 21:17:29
Waghorn is a right winger tho? Wouldn't be challenging May in the first place?

Agree1 Disagree4

19 Jul 2015 21:54:28
I think he is a striker. I no Roy Keane played him on the wing a few times at Sunderland but I think he is primarily a striker! I might be wrong about that as a don't no to much about him

Warburton was quoted in the Scotsman saying he wants 4 or 5 players in before the hibs game. The obvious predictions for these players would be tavernier, waghorn and holt- wondering if anyone knew about the other 2- rumours of mcginn, eustace, may, allan but overall feeling good about the signings so far!

Believable7 Unbelievable3

19 Jul 2015 15:29:07
So all the moaning minnie detractors 7 senior player and 3 youth players plus more to come and Warburton saying communication with fans the important thing attitude wise to involve us. The best soundbite ever in yestrdays interview on type of player important: He has signed every player he wanted and board has backed him

"There might be an outstanding striker but who is a pain off the pitch and destroys harmony in the dressing-room. So we won't sign him.

"Similarly, if there is someone in our academy like that - and there won't be - I won't play him. We want players with the right attributes who add that value. I won't be nonchalant or arrogant but I'll just be honest. If you're a liar you'll need to have a good memory, so just tell the truth."

Warburton talks the talk I love his attitude and if like Brentford he proves he can walk the walk Rangers are about to [play their best football in a very long time

News story saying Craig Mickail Smith is wanted by Southend. This guy is a free agent right now. Fair enough he is 31 but maybe worth a punt depending on wages!

Seen a picture of Lee Griffiths holding three fingers up on the back of the paper there. He was responding to a punter in the stand who asked him how many times they tried to weld another bit onto his nut!

He'll be welding some pieces onto asbestos stadium if he ever has the pleasure of playing there again

I read last week that Dundee United were ready to go for Billy McKay for 100k, surely McKay & May would be an impressive front 2

Just read online rangers have signed the 2 from wigan and also that they are still interested in Allan. Can't wait till the season starts getting exciting, a better and brighter outlook than last year's kick off. Let's get behind the new man and team.

Just wondering people's thoughts on John Mcginn of St mirren. He's out of contract, only 20 years old, Scotland U21 captain, highly rated within the spl, would be on a minimal wage and would only cost a training fee of about 100k. Personally I dint even think it's a gamble even if we signed hin and sent him out on loan for a season to an spl side.

Never thought he was that great, will end up at Dundee probably lol

19 Jul 2015 11:49:48
Loan him out? He would go straight in our team if we did sign him but that is a big if.

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 12:20:00
He's been linked with dundee utd Cee, they have a habit of doing well for youth players.

Naz I agree he would go straight into the squad but not first 11 if Warburton gets his targets. My point in him going out on loan of we signed was just because there's not been any mention of him so if warburton doesn't fancy him just now it would be worth the gamble signing him and sending him out on loan for a season where warburton and weir could keep an eye on him.

Agree1 Disagree2

19 Jul 2015 16:04:44
He had promise at the beginning but once all the good players left he never really stepped up when needed by st mirren

My preference would be Vuckic and May to complete the team just now and Scott Allan on a pre contract in January, which in turn will force Hibs to release him in January. I will be very surprised if Hibs sell Allan just now to their closest competitors.

Would we be happy with this line up? I would. Would like to see Temps given a shot at somepoint, and a lot of the young boys such as Stoney, Gasaparatto, Thomson, Lyon, and others, all given a chance.

Eustace should not play before murdoch. And I think by the end of the season hardie will be our top striker .

bobbybeag,

You lost me as soon as you said Bell. I have been a season ticket holder since 1981 and he is the worst Rangers keeper I have seen, so wise up. I include the 80's keeper's, Walker and whoever here and Maxwell and Simonsen, so this show's how poor I think he is.
Did you not watch him last season? Imagine him in goal going to the sty in a cup game?

A top EPL or Euro squad player on loan from Chelsea or Spurs or Barca/Seville

Give us an option we could never afford currently or likely in future

Imagine a top European player in our league = 50 goals and promotion
