19 Jul 2016 23:26:00
Any ideas on who the CB and other striker warbs says they're still looking at? Would like it to be mariappa but in my opinion if it was going to happen it would've already.

19 Jul 2016 23:16:50
Impressed with hodson tonight.

20 Jul 2016 07:19:38
looked really neat and tidy.

20 Jul 2016 10:44:03
Really hope this lads kicks on, looks a lot more steady defensively than tav having competition might help tav develop his defensive game.

20 Jul 2016 12:51:32
tav should see that hodson isn't there as cover and I hope he start being more cautious in defence as he is awol at rb most of the time!

that being said I still think he and McKay where my two favourite players last season.

20 Jul 2016 16:56:55
Can any Bears out there let me know how long we signed Hodson up for? Also think that Tav will play the majority of games this season as Warbs style requires Wing Backs to attack, I think that Warbs will us Hodson when reverting to a more defensive style. Also, tell me if I'm wrong Bears but Hodson can cover both flanks yeah? So should come in handy when either Wallace or Tavs needs a break.

19 Jul 2016 22:36:12
Very very impressed with Windass tonight. First touch was great, eye for a pass and always looking to go forward. Gilks wasn't tested, Clint Hill Didn't shut up or stop pointing and sorting the shape which was great to see, Wallace was his usual self and Hodson looked good to. Kranjcar looked sharp if we can keep him fit he will be a player! Halliday just gets better as time goes on, loves a tackle and can play the pals! McKay goal was a cracker! Solid if not overwhelming tonight. MOH for me jus doesn't fit in to the team, tries to hard and we don't play the ball inbehind so he's kind of innefectual. Waghorn looked sharp considering he was injured for a while! Forrester was class when he came on and as for Barton. First tackle ended up in the lad going off injured.

All in all a good solid performance, the game was a bit of a non started but more of the same please.

20 Jul 2016 00:32:43
Remember though it was only against Annan. Have to disagree I thought Windass was poor. Agree about O'Halloran very poor and didn't look for the ball. Forrester showed him up when he came on. Ran about made tackles and wanted the ball all the time. His work rate was exceptional.

20 Jul 2016 00:44:37
These games are only about fitness, yes it's important we top the group, but as the gaffer said a few times, he's treating these games as pre season.

20 Jul 2016 10:23:43
Agree about Ohalloran biffo316 a always give him benefit of doubt but he never really cut it against Annan last nyte, so think he has his work cut out nailing down a starting spot weekly.

20 Jul 2016 11:53:43
I think MOH will be better against better teams that will come out a bit like Celtic, Aberdeen etc. He is different to what we have and will be an asset.
Windass has looked the best of the signings so far imo. Fast, Strong, technical with an eye for goal, what's not to like? Only criticism of him is he's a bit raw but that will come with good management. He will be playing in the EPL within 3 years.
McKay has hopefully shut up any remaining doubters, he's the best player in the team!

20 Jul 2016 12:45:53
Windass was immence and on his showing he may turn out to be the gem. hill was class pointing shouting to players.

19 Jul 2016 22:23:33
Massively intrigued to find out what mw sees as his first choice 11. For me, only Wallace, Barton, kranjcar and MacKay certain starters at this stage. The rest of the places up for grabs. Incredible competition for places. We'd all do well to remember that MW has achieved this in 13 months!

20 Jul 2016 00:45:41
Rossiter will be a first pick too, this boy is going to make rangers millions.

20 Jul 2016 07:34:29
If Rossiter is going to be that good I would rather he stayed and made us Champions year in year out.

20 Jul 2016 12:42:13
Halliday always. He has the heart of a true bear, will never let you down.

19 Jul 2016 21:40:34
2--0 full time, McKay and waghorn.

19 Jul 2016 19:54:39
Where can I watch the game.

19 Jul 2016 20:21:17
Cricfree.

19 Jul 2016 19:38:48
Chant to the tune of 2 Unlimited - No Limit:

Joe Joe, Joe Joe, Joe Joe, Joe Joe, Joe Joe, Joe Joe, Joe Joe Dodoo!

20 Jul 2016 17:11:17
JAWS tune for big Dodoo! :)

19 Jul 2016 19:03:32

19 Jul 2016 19:56:08

No fan of the Record but interesting article showing that based on total of goals plus assists Tav is second only to Griffiths with 39. He's no top class defender but he scored or assisted in about 1 in 3 of goals in all games last year. Careful what you wish for.

goo.gl/jM49N7

19 Jul 2016 19:06:30
fed up with people knocking him, certain posters looking for anything to knock the guy, whither it being not great defender or having the audacity to try and get a better deal on his new contract, bottom line he has done, and indeed much more, than he was brought for, and any one who disagrees with that statement is talking complete nonsense.

19 Jul 2016 19:29:01
Can't argue with they stats. I've said on here million times, I'd rather a roving FB contributing to attack than someone like Lustig any day. Bore you to death that would.
Would be interesting to see how many goals against he was directly at fault for, probably about 2 that I can think of.

19 Jul 2016 17:24:54
Can I just suggest this random player. Was a potential star but has lost his way. Not getting offered a new deal at his lower league team. Been honking for last few years but I'm certain MW could turn him into a star.

The above fits at least 90% of the 'rumours' on this site!

The other 10% include petrol stations, builders, players relations spilling beans and of course the outright ridiculous.

19 Jul 2016 20:45:51
Mr Nice, see you have not been able to get hold of that book from Waggy yet.

19 Jul 2016 17:24:21
Jus had a right giggle at Brenda on SSN.

"A bolt of lighting and not a massive shock to the world" . That was how he described last weeks result again IMPS.

Trust me Brenda the whole world were laughing at you! Welcome to old firm football! You'd better get that attitude sorted because Glaswegians won't accept some shady excuse for being humiliated. Together the old firm creates the best derby in the world with the best fans in the world and if that was a Rangers manager hitting out with the excuses or trying to justify what happened last week. I'd be livid!

19 Jul 2016 19:24:17
He's a big beamer than ronny, just you wait.

19 Jul 2016 17:21:50
Very good day for glasgow rangers with these signing of contracts onwards and upwards the future is red white and blue ๐Ÿ”ดโšช๐Ÿ”ต๐Ÿ”ดโšช๐Ÿ”ต๐Ÿ”ดโšช๐Ÿ”ต๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ.

19 Jul 2016 17:16:46
Please, pretty please, with sprinkles on top- can people stop suggesting every lost soul, or out of contract player as a possible signing.

Some of the suggestions have made me laugh thought, so maybe keep it up.

19 Jul 2016 19:31:18
Why go on a rumours site if you don't want to hear any rumours? Just saying.

19 Jul 2016 17:16:40
Daily record reporting deal is done for dodoo! Hope the lad does well! #goingfor55.

19 Jul 2016 17:09:10
Dodoo signs! Hopefully he'll play some part tonight!

19 Jul 2016 17:08:37
Joe dodoo just signed on 4yr deal, yes get in.

19 Jul 2016 16:11:49
New deals fir Kiernan and foderingham ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป.

19 Jul 2016 17:20:31
Dodoo signs four-year deal.

19 Jul 2016 16:08:25
Warburton also confirmed the signing of Leicester City striker Joe Dodoo is close to being completed.

He said: "I think the paper work is near completion, I hope.

"I'm not sure if it will be in time for Annan but I hope that paperwork can get completed. He's trained again this morning.

"It'd be great to have him on board, fingers crossed, but the deal's not finalised yet".

Just read that in the DR. Does this suggest that there may be a very slim chance that if he signs he could play tonight?
I have no idea how these things work so just wondering.

19 Jul 2016 16:06:50
Where is the announcement of Joe Dodoo on a permanent deal, what's the hold up, a lot of transfers have been like this, this summer and I am surprised we haven't had one of our deals hijacked yet.

I am actually getting bored of this and the way the board always make the signings take longer than usual to get over the line.
And it's not Warbs fault because he wanted it done by Monday.

I also don't believe it's leister city's fault either because most of our deals take ages.
Joe Dodoo got talent and would be disgraceful if he gets away, it could really happen as its now Tuesday and warbs said everything to be completed today, but again not a peep.

The reason I wanted this one tied up quickly is then we can look and put all our attentions in getting a first choice CB.
All this is frustrating and it must be frustrating to the manager also I would imagine.

19 Jul 2016 16:21:38
These things take time Jay! leicester will be extremely busy at the moment as will ibrox. i'm confident the manager and his staff are looking at defensive options (and another striker) regardless of the dodoo deal.

19 Jul 2016 16:26:30
If negotiations take longer its probably due to negotiating a price. Surely its better we are strong in negotiations and get the best price possible rather than just pay whatever is quoted.

19 Jul 2016 16:32:37
Grow up and have some patience. It's not like the club are downloading a player app.

19 Jul 2016 16:44:08
How can you possibly say the Dodoo deal is being delayed by the board - I assume you have some form of evidence - he is a free agent who has not accepted a new deal from Leicester - this means training compensation is due based on FIFA regulations - it is a calculation (not a negotiation) based on various things including age, period with club, etc. all of this has to come from Leicester so much more likely this is the source of any delay. Same happened with JW/ MC from Accrington.

19 Jul 2016 17:13:11
Once again Jay I think you need to stop getting wound up waiting on allayed signing. I personally don't think any of our signings have been particularly dragged.
Im sure there's more to contract singing than

'here pal, wanna play with us? '

'eh. aye alright then. '

Job done.

Besides he has actually signed now.

19 Jul 2016 17:14:09
Nobody knows the hold up- best guess seems to be over the compensation payment, but that's only a guess.

Jay! Is correct on the fact we do take quite a long time to conclude most deals and we give the deal every chance to fall through rather than act decisively. Eg Knox from livi- we could have paid money for him and had him, instead we have dithered and he will most likely be heading elsewhere. In his case it was over a relatively small some of money.

19 Jul 2016 12:57:26
just seen that james wilson from man utd will prob be surplus to them

would he/ we be interested?

looked a decent player as well.

19 Jul 2016 13:08:03
I don't think he would come, but I agree a good player, great striker of the ball.

19 Jul 2016 14:36:51
Selik will go for him defo, they need cover for the wee rat griff!

19 Jul 2016 14:53:21
Would be an excellent addition if we could get him. not sure if he would come here though although never day never.

19 Jul 2016 14:48:43
championship bound.

19 Jul 2016 16:40:28
Don't believe the nonsense papers print these days. He is still contracted until 2019 so is probably going out on loan somewhere, that could be why he doesn't travel to China with the first team squad.

We couldn't afoard him at the moment anyway with that contract.

19 Jul 2016 17:39:43
I think you could be right Cee think lot of championship teams will go for him would score a lot of goals up here especially with chances we create.

19 Jul 2016 17:46:48
Too much in wages for starters
Tommy.

19 Jul 2016 12:38:21
SSN tavs agreed contract extension.

19 Jul 2016 15:16:13
That's good.

19 Jul 2016 12:14:19
What is a Virtual Private Network and how can I use it to watch games live on Rangers TV?

A virtual private network essentially takes your current network, let's say for example that its BT Hub with IP 89.90.192.90 Location Glasgow Scotland. and virtually moves your network to another country with a new IP address. For example mines is currently 109.201.152.234 location Netherlands.

How is this useful?

In the UK the club aren't allowed to be broadcast matches live to people within the UK, it is now more than ever worth watching live on Rangers TV since they upgraded to full HD for this season. By using a VPN we are able to move our location and encrypt our traffic so our internet service provider (ISP) and government have no idea what websites we visit or from where. As long as we use our VPN there is no way that anyone can prove that we aren't watching it from outside the UK on let's say a holiday and because a VPN will encrypt everything you do there is literally no proof of what you are doing at an ISP and FBI level.

Complexity of a VPN

You download a program from the internet (can be paid or free) which encrypts your traffic (anything you do on the internet) as well as hiding your location by connecting to there server which makes your location appear to be elsewhere. This is done through advanced encription standards (AES-256) with some sort of Blowfish Handsake (key to decrypt data at other side) basically a VPN will allow you to do anything online without anyone being able to see what you are doing and this is why it is useful.

With a VPN you can purchase the match and watch it live from whatever location you are independent of rules. Is it legal? Yes VPN's are 100% legal but whether this method is or not I can't imagine there is any way that they could prove any wrong doing and the only people who would chase you for this would be BT or Sky since they own the rights but they won't have the information on you ever to be able to do such a thing as people like myself use VPN's daily to hide all activity from the government and agencies in general. Information provided by me a 20 year old software developer may not be 100% accurate. I will answer any questions the best I can if anyone is seriously interested in this as I only created the post since many were asking about watching live on Rangers TV since the funds go 100% to the club. Ed you can move this to other posts if you like although I feel it will get more views here in Banter.

19 Jul 2016 12:29:30
Brilliant!

19 Jul 2016 13:09:27
Nice post Ross. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Much appreciated.

19 Jul 2016 13:13:27
Or you could just look on google to find out how to download kodi.

19 Jul 2016 13:49:25
Yeah but this way you can actually contribute to the club for the game without having to use external streaming sites which contribute nothing.

19 Jul 2016 13:51:00
You can download the puffin browser free and quickly. Job is a good 'un.

19 Jul 2016 14:34:12
Personally in my experience with modern technology proxies won't work with it although I could be wrong. I'd assume puffin browser is using a proxy. Proxies provide no encryption or network relocation so I'm not 100% sure it work as the site will be able to test your connection with a DNS leak and find your true location.

19 Jul 2016 14:36:18
Hola too - works perfectly - also helps to watch or listen online when overseas and a broadcast is UK restricted like some BBC commentaries.

19 Jul 2016 15:14:28
Hola can be bad for spyware but is a very basic form of vpn.

19 Jul 2016 15:29:34
Great post Ross! Much appreciated ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ.

19 Jul 2016 16:31:00
What vpn do you use rossw. I have looked at loads, but most complain the apps don't work.

19 Jul 2016 16:50:47
NB: VPN also works if you want USA Netflix which has a better selection of movies ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ.

19 Jul 2016 17:22:42
Netflix are cracking down on that I personally use Private internet Access which for me is the best VPN service for price and they offer 24/ 7 support so they could help you a lot more than I could. It is however paid (like ยฃ30 or less a year I'm not sure was cheaper before the pound crashed) but is used for all sorts of purposes.

20 Jul 2016 08:40:31
Cheers RossW.

19 Jul 2016 12:06:03
Hope we have a big crowd tonite to welcome the new lads and show them what playing at ibrox is all about. Tickets cheap as chips.

19 Jul 2016 16:46:58
Great post Ross. Good man.

19 Jul 2016 17:41:25
i am in spain
have 780 tv channels is the game on any of them?

19 Jul 2016 11:19:32
Anyone know if the game tonight is on the tv?

19 Jul 2016 11:28:02
It's live on Rangers TV for ยฃ5 outside the UK or if your tech savvy enough you can set up a VPN from within the UK and still watch it while it contributes 100% to the club. I'm a Rangers TV subscriber myself and over the last 12 months the content has been first class definitely worth the money now helps me stay slightly more in the loop than the average fan as you get a lot of interviews you don't normally get to see as well as training videos and general media output.

19 Jul 2016 12:17:43
Tickets are a tenner so get your a55 to ibrox.

19 Jul 2016 12:37:11
Pay at the gate tonight tenner get yourself along.

19 Jul 2016 15:04:14
Just got my ticket ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป.

19 Jul 2016 15:59:52
Ticketed up x4, Mon the GERS!

19 Jul 2016 17:40:42
Would love to lads but i live in Spain. bit of a trek for a Tuesday night!

19 Jul 2016 10:47:20
I'm not clued up on this so don't get on my case about it i know we haven't officially signed Dodoo but if he is out of contract at Leicester, could we not play him as a trialist?

19 Jul 2016 11:13:06
We can't do anything with him until we give compensation fee which is the thing I'd imagine that is slowing down the transfer since it isn't just a normal free transfer, similar to rossiter and in particular Acrington who dragged there feet for ages. Leister I'd imagine have bigger fish to fry than a 250k training fee which is piss in the water to them will pay vardy's wage for a week I suppose.

19 Jul 2016 10:48:43
Is Dominic Ball's contract not up?

If it's not then it is shortly.

Maybe Tottenham are assessing him to see whether to re-sign him or not before sending him out on loan?

19 Jul 2016 11:47:24
On transfermarkt site his contract was up at the end of June.

19 Jul 2016 12:35:55
I hope Poch finally tells Ball exactly where he stands! as far as I see it I don't think that he will get into the first team this season, I would love it if we could do a deal with Spurs a transfer fee with a first buy back clause! BUT I don't think that we have the funds for such a transaction. Even at a reduced fee say 1m I still don't think we have it and its sad but this is the situation we find ourselves in. I think Ball would benefits massively if he had at least 2 settled seasons at a club playing 1st team football and Ibrox would be the best choice for everyone involved, Ball, Spurs and Rangers. As it is I think Spurs will sign him up and hopefully loan him to us, if King could get the transfer fee together its a wise investment and we could at least double our money by selling back to Spurs! I do think we have the funds but we must spend it wisely and nothing is a sure thing although this is pretty dam close we'll just need to wait and see what Ball says to Spurs if they tell him 1st team football isn't on the cards he may not want a loan deal he may want to establish himself and get settled at one club. What's your thoughts Bears?

19 Jul 2016 10:41:15
Gordon Greer doesn't have a club is a Scottish international and a rangers fan. Could he be signed?

Me personally, I hope not! He is 35. But Warburton spent next to nothing and could pick him up for nothing if can't get anyone else.

19 Jul 2016 11:50:19
Gordon greer, scrapping bottom of barrel now.

19 Jul 2016 13:57:00
It was just something that came to mind. Not saying he is linked with us. I certainly hope not we have already brought experience in the squad now with the like of Barton, Kranjcar and hill. We need some decent young players. Dom ball fits the bill perfectly for me wouldn't mind him seeing back at Ibrox.

19 Jul 2016 10:31:46
Does anyone know where I could watch tonight's game.?

19 Jul 2016 10:40:19
Rangers TV - will cost you a fiver and all monies go to the club.

19 Jul 2016 10:43:17
Thanks mate.

19 Jul 2016 10:50:47
Kenny89 you can only watch live on RangersTv if you live outside UK. The only way to see the game would be to attend. ยฃ10 - pay at the gate. Alternatively, a subscription to RangersTv will show you highlights a few hours after the game ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ.

19 Jul 2016 11:09:46
Wait so I live in Scotland, but can't watch a Scottish team play on rangers tv, That right? ๐Ÿ‘€.

19 Jul 2016 11:15:22
If you use a virtual private network you can change what the site views as your current location and watch it live from within the UK.

19 Jul 2016 11:16:18
It's to do with Sky and BT they are the only companies that are allowed to play live matches within the uk. I think you have to apply for a licence from UEFA or something.

19 Jul 2016 11:50:31
You can download a VPN online, its easy, then the VPN pings your IP address to another location around the world, basically tricking your network into thinking your location is elsewhere. Hope that makes sense.

19 Jul 2016 11:45:05
Aye but you need to watch it at midnight unless you're not in the uk, or use a vpn.

19 Jul 2016 12:15:21
I just wrote a breif post on VPN's that I am just waiting on an Ed to approve that should hopefully clear up some things for people who don't quite understand the concept and I will answer questions as best as I can if anyone has any.

19 Jul 2016 09:47:19
Right I'm going to start a topical debate. Wilson or Keirnan and why? Everyone knows my answer. I think both can come good this season although I feel Kiernan and tav don't work well defensively especially in comparison to Wilson and Wallace and feel on Saturday we were weak on the right in particular. Who knows maybe a proper CDM is all we need.

19 Jul 2016 10:28:27
Danny Wilson played beside davie weir and they were a good solid defensive partnership. I don't think kiernan has been given that chance. Kiernan or wilson beside Clint hill could work, old head experience etc. But one things certain kiernan and Wilson does not work and we will get caught out defensively.

19 Jul 2016 10:34:17
My opinion is we should play Hill and Ball, but as it stands I'd have Wilson nxt to Hill. In a nutshell I just think Wilson is a better CH, he's still only 24? and still developing yeah think he's the youngest but same could be said for Kiernan regarding his development! I think both will come good, hate to keep saying it but for CH's they are well young.

19 Jul 2016 10:39:29
Kiernan has pace which at times last season saved us. The issue is Wilson has Wallace next to him making him look good. Kiernan has Tav. Which my opinion on Tav is that he is a winger not a defender. We will see tonight where crooks plays tonight and see how Tav does.

19 Jul 2016 10:52:15
Kiernan has pace? (Chuckle chuckle) .

I prefer Wilson but don't like the sound of Wilson/ Hill partnership, both left footed with no pace between them. i'd try to sign a pacey CB to play alongside Wilson as RCB, and have Kiernan and Hill as back up.

19 Jul 2016 10:55:57
I'd have both minus Tav. With Tav, I'd take Wilson. Although I'm struggling to think what CH could successfully work with Tav. Maybe another RB to shadow Tav? hahahaha 5 at the back. RB, RB CB, CB, LB.

19 Jul 2016 11:10:37
It's strange because both seem to be polarising figures which to me tells us they both have good and bad qualities that some will appreciate more than others.

19 Jul 2016 12:18:06
The only time Kiernan impressed me was the Celtic game. Every other time I've seen him play he's been underwhelming. Wilson's not exactly been great since he came back but he could be a great defender for us.
I'm still holding out for Marriapa, I think him and Wilson could be a great combo.

19 Jul 2016 12:39:39
Personally I think kiernan is getting a hard time at the moment maybe rightly. I think they both need an old head next to them for a couple of seasons to mature into better players. Center half's don't really mature till thier late 20s so I think they could both come good. At the ment though I'd have Wilson only because when he had DW next to him he looked like a real player.

19 Jul 2016 12:52:11
recbob, I tend to agree that this was one of Kiernans better performances for us, but ask yourself why was that?

Was Ball playing as a screen in front of the back 4? Yes.

Were we a little more defensive minded compared with league games, ie- Tav and Wallace not bombing forward as much? Yes.

Don't get me wrong, I don't regard Kiernan as a great defender, but it just goes to show that if we protect the defence a bit better then both Kiernan and Wilson are capable of doing a bit better during the game. To be honest I thought they were much better during the Dundee game, as they made a couple slip ups that were not punished against Celtic.

19 Jul 2016 02:23:47

This is another game to see how different personnel will perform in the same structure and for me this would be my side tonight:Gilks

Gilks,

Hodson, Kiernan, Hill, Wallace

Holt, Barton

Kranjcar

Oยดhalloran, Waghorn, Windass

Subs McKay, Forrester, Miller, Halliday and McKay

Any three from those five coming off the bench. (The problem I have is that I am not sure who Halliday replaces because he is not a holding midfield player and he will slip further down the rankings when Rossiter returns from International duty) .

19 Jul 2016 09:40:54
All these people starting RK and hill is hill no right footed? And how many mistakes will you allow RK to make before we bench him this season? Was by far the worst player on Saturday and for me contributed heavily to defensive frailties last season. Mw plays rcb right foot and lcb left foot must be something to do with our passing style and finding passes down the wing when playing out.

19 Jul 2016 09:51:18
For me the team will be

Hodson Hill Wilson Wallace

Haliday (60m sub Barton)
Windass Krancjar (60m Forrester)

O'Halleron. McKay.

19 Jul 2016 09:51:56
And a waghorn oops.

19 Jul 2016 09:53:17
Think Miller will get 20 mins since dodoo hasn't signed.

19 Jul 2016 10:02:18
Hill is left footed mate, plays on the left too.

My reason for leaving Mckay out is simple, the manager said he wants to give everyone decent game time and would have preferred 7 or 8 subs to be able to do it. People like Forrester and Waghorn coming back from injury end of season, new signings into the mix, and Miller being brought off after 60 while Mckay playing the 90 last match lead me to come up with this possible selection and rotation of players. Mckay will play again next game, according to me :)

19 Jul 2016 10:20:56
No Hardie or Thompson people? We know the squads being rotated and if they can't get a chance at home vs Annan then when will they!

19 Jul 2016 10:40:43
Think Hardie might get on if Dodoo ain't signed up.

19 Jul 2016 10:40:49
Why do you all keep putting windass on the wing? He's an attacking midfielder/ Secondary Striker.

19 Jul 2016 10:56:15
Windass can and has played any position of the 3 behind the strier, he is not restricted to one position. Warbs may want to have a look at him in those other positions.

And by watching him, why wouldn't he be able to play wide? He has pace, skill, good passing, tracks back, good energy. He could play there no problem.

19 Jul 2016 11:05:59

Faissal El Bakhtaoui is out of contract and training with Blackburn. He's 23 and had a decent strike rate at Dunfermline. Should we invite him to train/ trail at Rangers?

19 Jul 2016 01:03:39
Could do worse.

19 Jul 2016 01:22:14
A decent strike rate in the 3rd tier is not what we should be looking at. Remember Dr Goals Kenny Deuchar who played for Gretna. Banged them in all the way up but couldn't prescribe a goal in the spl.

19 Jul 2016 07:32:36
I mentioned him in the last window. Really think he could add something.

19 Jul 2016 07:34:07
I would sign him lol.

18 Jul 2016 22:23:25
I know many don't like us signing former players or old players but just got me thinking would you like us to bring back Bougherra, Cuellar or neither?

19 Jul 2016 00:52:42
Preferred Cuellar myself, proper defender, decent on the ball but nothing flashy, great in the tackle. Have my doubts whether either could play to a high enough level through the season though, pushing on a bit and havenยดt exactly been regulars for teams in less renowned leagues.

19 Jul 2016 03:16:16
If we fail to bring Ball back then I wouldn't be against seeing Boughera or Cueller back, where does Cueller play at moment tho?

19 Jul 2016 06:30:30
I also rated carlos cuellar a better centre half than madjid bougherra although I did rate and like both.

19 Jul 2016 07:33:24
Neither.

19 Jul 2016 09:42:21
No to both. Had their chances and haven't set the world alight recently. I'd like a younger CB to play alongside Hill thanks.

19 Jul 2016 10:45:18
Davie weir says in his book he really liked Carlos as a defender and a man. I remember singing his song all day long in the weatherspoons pub in Manchester centre, I think if fit he would help any young defender.

19 Jul 2016 10:44:24
Hi guys with the players we have brought in, I really think that he has something in that magic hat still to come out and it will not be a player of old but we are really in great shape this year
Neither player both have played here and done well but time to move on.

19 Jul 2016 10:59:18
Cuellar is out of contract to answer the question above. He did play for Almeria in Spanish second div last year but wasn't first choice, managed 18 games. And they were not promoted either.
