Selling John Fleck would be a huge mistake. The guy is only 19, loads of time to come good and he only signed a contract extension last year so it won't happen, a loan move maybe but that's all.

We do need more creative midfielder's so what does anyone think to trying to get Barry Bannan on loan. I heard he's a celtic fan but he has turned them down before so might be able to do a job for us.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

I would love to see bannan at ibrox

Agree6 Disagree2

Fleck not good enough

Agree5 Disagree6

I would give him a chance he is only 19

Agree7 Disagree1

I would play fleck in cm would loan him out to get game time common problem with rangers don't know where to play them eg Charlie miller n Charlie Adam

Agree4 Disagree0

Jamie Ness is the flair player we need just hope he stays injury free and has a good pre season

I think rangers should raid the championship. If Swansea don't go up i think dyer and sinclar would be great signings and wouldn't cost a bomb. The lad Josh mugugen( Cana spell it) will be a great player. Anyone agree ?

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Dont mean to be a spoler but i think players from the championship are gettin paid alot more than at rangers

i know from an ex teammate of mine who now coaches under 10s at rangers, that ally mccoist is a big barry ferguson fan and although he seems to be settled and playing well, a 2nd return should not be ruled out. don't shoot me down in flames, i know he earns big money but there is one player in england who is about to retire from the game who i think would do a great job for the gers and that man is paul scholes. perhaps the chance of playing every week and getting to play in the champions league could persuade him to join. what do you think fellow bears?

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Scholes is a man utd man and won't play 4 another team he gets champs league football at man u aswel so if he wanted to play champs league he would stay where he is so i doubt it. he would be a great addition to the squad if he drops about 60k off his wages too

Just a personal opinion; but I really hope Rangers don't sign David Goodwille. I think he is a liability and personally think we can buy much better with the money he is suppose to be worth . .what do you think ed? {Ed010's Note - Isn't it funny how potential signing targets evoke different opinions and it is on that basis, I tend to disagree. I see a bit of a young Ally McCoist in David Goodwillie and if he turns out to be half as good as Ally, he will do for me. You also have to take into account that we need to rebuild our squad and the bare minimum nowadays is for successful teams to have a pool of 4 strikers. Having said that, I hope Ally gives Jelavic and Lafferty a chance to play together at the start of the season because they looked good together, over the last few games, of the season.

Anyone else got an opinion on this topic ?

Wholeheartedly agree Ed

The boy has more to offer up front than say Boyd and look how many he put away for us. He's not a top class striker. .yet. Fact is he has potential and lots of it. We need a pool of players and its horses for courses. He will score for fun for us in the SPL and may make the grade in Europe if given a hand up.

Bluegenius

I respect both of your opinions and, to a degree, I can see where both of you are coming from. However, I think it would take at least £1.5 million to shift him from the grasp of Dundee Utd. He does have raw talent, but I personally think for a striker with that value of price-tage he has poor posture, slow movement and slightly looks out of condition (probably due an abundance of late night sessions in Karbon nightclub :P) On the other hand, I hope I am wrong if Rangers do sign the player.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Don't see moving for less than 2m.
i might be wrong but im sure there was a 2m clause written into the contract he signed with united.

ed Do you know if Ally McCoist gets money to spend from the player he sells or just the 10million craig whyte is giving him?

{Ed010's Note - That's one of those questions that all Rangers fans hope the answer to, is a no brainer but in planet football, we can't take anything for granted. What I do think however, is that if Mr Whyte "pockets" any transfer money and doesn't give it to Ally, then he is setting himself up for an almighty fall.

John Fleck won't leave He has unbelievable talent and for whatever reason he hasnt got going for quite some time. With a pre season under his belt, and a run in the team in his correct position, we'll start to see the real John Fleck and why hes been branded the next big thing since he was 15. Lets not forget he has had to deal with all the Rooney comparisons from that age too. I have total faith he will fulfill his potential with Rangers. I agree his attitude has been questionable, but he has to knuckle down and start showing the ability we all know he possesses from his first team run between January and March 2009. Flecky will be a star, as promised by Durranty, Coisty & Walter. Watch this space

Believable3 Unbelievable2

I hope your right but we should loan him out to another spl team and see what he can do if he does well then great he can come back we will see if he is good anoff for rangers

Agree2 Disagree0

This guy should have been loaned out long ago its only held him back being stuck not playing regular at a decent level for match practise, another wasted talent. .

Agree3 Disagree0

Aye ano mate but you never know he mite prove us wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

Fleck was expected to really push on in the 09/10 season, but had a training ground bust up with McCoist and missed the Emirates Cup as punishment. Then this pre season Walter was praising him non stop for his performances in Australia, he would have been a starter on the opening day, but he got injured against Clyde. He is a cracking player and both Super Ally & Durranty have said he has the most natural talent since Charlie Miller & that his left foot is up there with the late great Davie Cooper. He needs a lenghty first team run in his best position, which is in the hole between midfield and up front, the traditional number 10. He has far too much talent to sell, this boy is going to be a Rangers great, he just needs regular football.

19 May 2011 18:03:57
If i was super Ally, then i would be looking at bringing in Tomas Hiltzberger from West Ham. He would be a good addition to the squad. The Hammer mark 2 and we could get him now they have been relegated !

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Couldn't agree more him and Davis in centre mid I think would work well.
Ed do you fink he would come 2 the gers and how much for?? {Ed010's Note - Here lies the problem with us trying to lure anyone away from Upton Park. West Ham have always had a history of offering players, top notch wages and he will be no exception. Would or could we match his current wages ? really don't think so.

My dads mate is Peter Houstons neighbour, and Peter told him that Goodwillie would walk from Tannadice to sign for Gers as it would be the fulfillment of a childhood dream. He WILL NOT go to Celtic. So it's now up to Mr Whyte to stump up the £2m asking price and Rangers WILL get Goodwillie. He has lots of potential and could end up a major asset for us later down the line. Bring back Bartley and along with Goodie, Conway, Wallace, Puncheon & Diouf added to the squad we will have enough quality to push for 4 in a row

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Puncheon isn't good enough for rangers
And diouf it's crap pure and simple adds Nothing to the team not only is he slow but when were on the break it slows it down hope to god he doesn't come back

The evening times tonight quotes Jason Puncheons agent as saying that Rangers have been in touch to see if the player would be interested in a move to the Gers. The agent confirms he has spoken to the player who has said, yes, he would be willing to come north and join us. It now comes down to whether or not rangers follow up with a formal offer and meet the players terms.

i heard a rumor from a friend who is a long time west ham fan that Jonathon Spector and Mathew Upson will be at talks at rangers and when the window opens rangers will tally a bid for them , (any thoughts ed) {Ed010's Note - Don't get your hopes up on this one. Upson in particular could have the choice of most EPL teams and Arsenal are one of those at the top of the list. Spector may be more of a possibility but again, I see a few of the clubs at the lower end of the EPL being interested. Having said all of that, players and their agents do meet clubs to see what deal is on the table, so it is entirely possible that they will hold talks, as they will with any interested party.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Spector is a very versatile player, similar to witty. upson has been linked with Liverpool tho. would be a phenomenal singing but cnt see it unfort

Agree0 Disagree0

Similar to whitty in what way? not up to standard in any position. .lol
we need players of quality not someone who can play anywhere on the park poorly.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Agree with you ed010 on this but if he really wanted a move maybe accepting an extension to his contract wasnt the right thing to do other thing is he would be playing second fiddle to jela/lafferty big rab by the way {Ed010's Note - It is quite usual for players to sign contract extensions so that the parent club get as much money in transfer fees as possible. You will probably find that Goodwillie was offered the extension on that basis but with a release clause built in.

Agree with ed here. it has been banded around that there is a clause of 2m built in

Ricardo Montolivio is the current club captain at Fiorentina , a current Italian international and at 24 years old one of the most coveted mid-field players in Serie A , if he moves it will be to a top Italian , Spanish or top 4 premiership club , he is far far too good Rangers and financially way out of Rangers reach .

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Hes 26 actually. and out of favour at fiorentina. to say we can't get an italian int is maybe not that hard, its not a strong team any more. agree i don't think we will sign him but top 4 in EPL would not want him

The rumours are circulating but craig whyte has yet to tell mccoist his transfer budget.mccoist is likely to sign players such as craig conway free, bartley on loan.and get mcgregor on a new deal.if blackpool are relegated then charlie adam might be sold-this will give rangers extra money to use to strengthen the squad.jelavic has also stated that he is happy to stay despite interest from the epl.

Its in the spurs rumour page that Jelavic is going to spurs for £8M plus Hutton.

i would welcome that deal as Jelavic may be a very good player but i don't think we need him to win the spl and to make any impact in europe we would require at least 18 players of Jelavic calibre

Ian Holloway has placed a price tag of £15million on Charlie Adams and with rumours of Man U and Liverpool wanting the midfielder, Rangers will recieve around £2.25 million and they shall spend the money on Snodgrass from Leeds.

This is not true as snodgrass is a celtic supporter through and through
Many peoples will say tht it was the same when scott brown went to celtic and thay say he had a rangers badge tattoed on his back and that is also lies

I think that there will be some sort of deal between Rangers and Arsenal with a possible swap of Bougherra for Bartley. I also think arsenal would give us a bit of cash. I could be wrong but we want Bartley, he wants to join us, Arsenal have been linked with Bougherra and he wants to move to a prem team. I would like to have both Bougherra and Bartley but I can't see it.

I personally don't see rangers making many signings
this season. we need a commanding centre back to take over from weir bartley would be good for midfield not centre half- weiss is a no go healy will move on diouf might stay , if hes cheap enough!I think arsenal might release bartley
who knows?people are talking about brunt and dorrans can't see either getting here calum davidson and perhaps mr conway frees ricky foster might happen plus one more decent player but not goodwillie too much baggage there, martin bain will step down also. nothing from italy. too expensive.maybe get lucky and get eremenko.that would be it.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Ur having a laugh pal we will sign atleast 5 players walter an ally have already said that walter siad it be4 he stepped down so what are u talking about

Agree5 Disagree1

Callum Davidson - Eh no thanks! with Papac signing a new 1 year deal then surely we must have some decent young players coming through at Murray Park rather than Davidson.

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeah your right mate we won't be making any signings this season coz there are only 3 days left until the season is over.

As for next season expect maybe 5-6 siginings and maybe 3-4 moving on plus possibly a couple of loans coming in&out.

I am just wondering what the gers fans think of james forrest joining the scotland setup, my opinon on this is it wil be a great addition to the squad altho i will hate to admit this i think if the lad gets a gd run of games he will be a quality player. never mind epl class he will be spl class and scotland class.

i also think it won't be to long b4 we see the likes of ness if he stays injury free, wylde, and hutton in the setup even if its just to get them introduced to it. any more players u can think of from any leagues let me know of plz thanks
