i don't beleive how many posters all of a sudden become king supporters after their previous posts

Believable4 Unbelievable7

19 May 2015 22:24:43
Indeed. I wonder will anyone else pick up on the lies DK told in his interview this afternoon on STV? Completely contradicting what he said in March. You'll forgive me if I remain sceptical.

You'll have to remind me AHAB, what lies did he tell in this interview?

Excuse fans for wanting a wee bit of a break for charlatans and being happy that king is now on the board and we can see if he will deliver. How dare they, we should be boycotting with Dave king out banners!

Give the guy time, he is just officially in the door lmao

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2015 15:21:50
I watched the Dave king interview on stv and find it ridiculous for people to criticise him already when he is a day into starting his job of rebuilding our club. Unlike Mike Ashley, king isn't sitting on a pot of gold which would allow for high spending in the short term looking for a quick fix, instead king offers moderate spending over medium term to grow as a transparent club, keeping fans updated, rather than building debts, created by Ashley's loans (look at Newcastle), gradually getting closer to celtic looking to challenge for the title by 2018 or 19. The bit I found interesting was king said he was looking for a coach, possibly implying getting Cathro, but the important thing is getting by hibs and Motherwell and getting back to the premier league where we belong and will help the building process

Just got a text fae my mate saying he as heard. Advocaat and Barry Ferguson could be in line ta take ower, canny c that boys what da you think?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed039's Note - Didnt Clyde just finish second bottom of Scottish footballs leagues under Ferguson? Not my idea of a good combination, sounds more like jobs for the boys if you ask me, I cant see it happening)

19 May 2015 22:06:13
Barry Ferguson will not be rangers manager any time soon, and ed I think he did well not to finish bottom lol.

andy mac I really hope your mate is at the wynd up don't mind wee dick coming back but don't want ferguson any where near ibrox he is nothing but a trouble maker and he done absolutely zilch with clyde and blackpool he should stick to writing for the daily rebel best place for him it was he who started all the trouble for le guen he is a waste of space

Agree3 Disagree2

20 May 2015 07:57:18
On what basis is Ferguson trouble? Because the daily RECORD and other untrustworthy papers reported stuff what happened nearly 10 years ago.
I wonder if you thought that after he scored that free kick against Celtic or the amount of other times he carried the team.

You would want wee dick? An absolute dinosaur of football he is 67 hardly at the age to start building a side is he.

I have disagreed with your constantly on here however I have to agree with you here. It always astonished me how so many Rangers fans have a go at Barry Ferguson. Yes he has had his issues however I thought he was a great player for us and his positives far out weighed the negatives. As for Advocaat he is too old and it's not the way ahead for us we need a younger manager with fresh ideas

Agree1 Disagree0

20 May 2015 09:50:09
I agree. Many a time Barry played for us when he wasn't fit. I thought he was one of the best midfielders Scotland has ever produced. Heart of a lion and just a great footballer

King has now been passed as fit and proper.
We will now see investment in the club.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

19 May 2015 19:34:51
Celtic fans on the phone in are concerned about King not being a fit and proper person to be involved with Rangers. Good to see they are concerned about us perhaps going into administration again. Pity they weren't as vocal about White and Green. Perhaps they know King is fit and proper to run the club and make us a force again.

Agree5 Disagree5

19 May 2015 20:17:30
Same old story Celtic fans coming on and being experts in everything. Laughable when the start each sentence buoy the words " I know for a fact" . They should just be honest and say how much they hate us and want to see us gone

Agree3 Disagree2

{Ed039's Note - I like how people use phrases like they were "vocal" or have an "i told you so" attitude, when what they mean is they jumped on a story when a newspaper broke it)

Glad we finally have movement on Dave king and this fulfils 1 of my prophecies!

Now onto my second prophecy, the eagerly anticipated investment package. my thoughts were it would be in the summer, quite likely after the playoffs and when rangers fans are being asked for season ticket money.

I would be happy for 15m from lung and investors with 10 mil season ticket money, for this 1 season. With more next season

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Not much of a prophecy Nostrabamus.Only about 98pc of fans I reckon, thought he'd be passed fit and proper.Geez the lottery numbers and you might be onto something.

A snippet from kings statement:

"I thank the Scottish FA for their diligence in this matter and now it is time to look ahead and map out Rangers' future," he said.

"However, I will elaborate on that in the coming days because there should be no distractions ahead of tomorrow night's match at Ibrox."

Before you start moaning he has been fit and proper for nearly 3 whole hours and there's "no transparency" expect word from him in the coming days about our clubs future

Dave king passed F&P to become rangers chairman. Was actually passed conditionally over 3 weeks ago with further documentation to follow but mr king decided not to take up the offer as wanted full and complete transparency. finally is this the end of the nightmare?!? Let's beat hibs and Motherwell and take our HARD EARNED place at the top table. They forced us to start again we are just a whisker away from getting our own back I feel the good times are closer than we all think : )

Rangers Vs Hibs

what would you do with the team for tomorrows game?

McCall will be wanting to go for a 3-5-2 but the only option would be with smith as left back and wallace in the middle (who would use mcculloch or moshni!) but this wouldn't work with my chosen strikers.

my team would be a 442

same as sunday but with Boyd replacing Clark.

what would you guys go with?

Believable0 Unbelievable8

19 May 2015 13:44:09
ld play bell smith mgregor mohsni forster wallace hutton murdoch vuckic law miller and bring on temp clark obviously I know y folk don't want mohsni playin but were even worse without him i'm pretty sure he wasnt playing when they ripped us 4-0

Agree0 Disagree6

19 May 2015 14:03:29
My team would be as follows

Bell GK
Forster RB
Mcgregor CB
Wallace CB
Smith LB
Walsh RW or Templeton
Law CM
Black CM or murdoch
Shiels LW or McKay
Vukic CF
Miller CF or Boyd

I think we need experience and speed on wings and a strong defence that's the best of a bad lot in my team a would love to have better than what we got

Agree4 Disagree5

19 May 2015 14:09:46
Would like to see young Walsh in from the start and vuckic playing through the middle,Ive backed us to win 3.1 (can't see us keeping a clean sheet)with vuckic to score 1st scorecast pays 75/1 hopefully clear enough to pay for tomorrow's trip and to bring the grandson up for the motherwell game onwards and upwards.

Agree4 Disagree0

19 May 2015 14:43:15
I see Mccall going for the 352 like the last time we played hibs;
GK:Bell
RWB:Foster
CB:Mcgregor
CB:Zaliukas
CB:Streete
LWB:Wallace (C)
CM:Murdoch
CM:Law
CAM:Shiels
CF:Vuckic
ST:Miller
I think we can win with this with the wingbacks, both attack-minded, playing a key role and not having to be as concerned about getting back with 3CB's to cover. Plus prefer to see big vuckic further up as he has the best scoring record of our forward players.

Agree3 Disagree1

19 May 2015 14:45:53
Templeton? McKay? What makes people think McCall is going to turn to them for the Play Offs when he has not used them up to now? It will be the same players in a slightly different formation. No surprises.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 May 2015 15:26:08
Andbak

I think you've come up with the best line up available. Only concern would be Streete's match fitness. He did look very decent in the first half of the game he did play. I think you've a lot of industry there and I think this line up would pose Hibs problems. Hope wee Stuart reads these blogs! Wishful thinking!

Agree0 Disagree1

19 May 2015 15:27:28
Sonofoger - you wouldn't play Shiels?

Agree1 Disagree0

19 May 2015 15:27:34
It worked the last time, they were lost when we squeezed the midfield. The boy Allan never got a sniff, not pretty on the eye but who cares?I'm a bit worried about the boy Cummings running away from Zaliukas though.Like the wee lay out Andbak, with the wee c in brackets incase we all forget Wallace is the captain.Nice touch.

I know a lot of people will disagree with this but I would bring Boyd back in for first leg against hibs.

He has had a terrible season but let's be honest here so have most of the forwards in the squad.

I just think he is the best penalty box striker we have and with Lee Wallace always an option down the left side that could be out best chance of getting goals, using the Wallace to Boyd combination.

Too big a game to bring in the likes of Hardie and Gallagher, I'm a big fan of bringing in the young players but at this moment in time we need experienced players who can find the net and Boyd certainly has done that in the past

Believable5 Unbelievable2

19 May 2015 10:00:41
I agree Fraser, been saying it for a few weeks. Its got to be worth a try, because Clark is not the answer. He's coming too deep or he's out wide too often,I think he's trying to hard in a Rangers jersey rather than just being in the six yard box where he was for QOS.I know more demands are placed on him here, but he's lost the instincts that we signed him for in the first place.

Agree4 Disagree0

19 May 2015 10:21:24
We just need to make sure we give Jason Cummings no chances as he is lethal! The boy may be a wee rocket but he can sure as hell score goals.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 May 2015 10:45:08
I was going to say this mate and in previous posts I have always backed Boyd. Clark can't handle the pressure of playing with Rangers he doesn't have the bottle, he's too small for fosters excellent balls into the box as well but but can both finish and is good in the air. Not too mention his link up play is good. Miller had a lot of faults but his movement and link up play is second to none. Boyd Miller against hibs for me

Agree1 Disagree5

19 May 2015 12:31:16
I don't think you ever lose an eye for goal. I'd love to see Boyd and Miller click once again. I know they have it in them but is it worth taking the chance? Only wee McCall will know this of course. If we could just convert an early chance I think the backing from the crowd might just push us over the line and might even unnerve the Hibs youngsters. Remember they almost slipped to the bottom of the league a few weeks into the campaign. I think if we can get off to a good start we can rattle them and maybe nick two or three goals before the end. The only problem is we tend to ship them at the other end as well. I remember well the game during the nineties when we hammered them 7-0. Mind you, we had the likes of Gazza and wee McCall himself calling the shots then. It might not end up 7-0 but I'd take any kind of win.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2015 12:54:51
worth taking a chance? clark can't hit the target. Boyds problem at the start of the season was confidence, the teams confidence and the long ball tactics.

with rangers playing more balls to feet in the box. wallace and foster providing excellent balls into the box this set up is exactly what boyd thrives in and the team are crying out for his abilities. He likes boyd will get shots on target and subsequently goals

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2015 13:21:31
L3mst3r boyd is overweight. why would you want an overweight also very lazy player in our team? He struggles to last the first 45 minutes. clark is struggling to score yes. However if it wasn't for clark setting up wallace we might not be talking about playing against hibs. Personally I believe McCall is starting to make a few errors, like playing law as a left attacking mid, where he has to go down the wing, our winning formula is a 3-5-2 it's attacking yet defensive. Perfect for us with the players we have

Agree0 Disagree1

19 May 2015 14:32:44
You don't have to be an athlete to hit the target from inside the box. I'm not saying Boyd will give you lots of running but when a chance presents itself inside the box Boyd will get it on target.

352 is perfect for us but do we put Wallace in defence and lose an attacking channel? Either that or do you put in mcculloch or moshni? Both are prone to making mistakes and just now we need 100% concentration. We can't afford to chance losing a goal as the play off games are so crucial.

rangers are aching well all we need to do is take our chances and like I said if Boyd had clarks chances he would have a few goals just when we need it.

Agree1 Disagree1

19 May 2015 15:49:04
Andbak- Team looks fine as Streete has pace and recently played 90 mins in the U20s but in the 2nd half he played in midfield.
Also Gasporotto is an option as both Cummings and Malonga are pacey and good headers of the ball.
Either way play Vuckic and Miller upfront drop Clark and have additional player in midfield or start with 3 centre backs with Foster and Wallace as wing backs.
