Another brilliant press conference from Gerrard. He certainly doesn't suffer fools gladly in the shape of Scottish journalists.
Expertly sidestepped the ticket issue about Aberdeen failing to sell their allocation.
And more importantly sung the praises of Gazza, saying he was his hero and that he loved him.
First class from Gerrard.

When we think back to names linked with the manager's job before the summer, to some of the utter nonesense spouted by some of our recent bosses, the lack of dignity, integrity and common sense coming out of the club; how amazing is it that we now have a man in the role giving honesty, class and belief on and off the park?

A man with balls and the courage of his convictions who tells it as he sees it, who doesn't playto the gallery. He will only get better as a manager, meaning the team will also get better. What an absolute godsend Steven Gerrard has been for our glorious club. And you know what, we deserve it!

20 Oct 2018 00:29:22
Quality post mate. I listened to his PC today
and I 100% agree. A couple of loaded questions by the usual hacks hoping SG will slip up.
Those clowns will need to be up early to catch Steve G out
Shows cool calm and composure and tons of class
Form is temporary class is permanent
Let’s go.

20 Oct 2018 05:57:15
Absolutely agree UJ. He has the makings of a top class manager. I just hope we can keep him here long enough to reap the rewards.

20 Oct 2018 09:00:18
I've said it before - he is a very smart man and is going to be a top, top manager. Let's hope he does it with us. I fear the pull of the Liverpool job will be too much though.

20 Oct 2018 15:50:04
Gerrard fits the rangers blazer and tie in every way! He's immaculate and speaks so professional! Absolutely chuffed to bits, that steven gerrard is the glasgow rangers manager! He knows what he's doing and where he wants to take us, that's for sure!

19 Oct 2018 17:46:29
this ifa thing and lafferty is stupid. no way should he miss our game we pay his wages. rangers should either take this stupid ruling to an employment court or fine lafferty a weeks wages as he is not available. although its pretty terrible in this day and age that a country can make you play a game of football or miss out on your job.

Seeker. - hard to say who was the best, like yourself I’m flummoxed on the subject, Baxter, Laudrup, Cooper, all fabulous players, Best, Messi, Pele, Muller, ZZ we’re just special players that don’t come very often.

19 Oct 2018 23:39:31
Seen most of the modern greats play in the flesh and zz was by far the best. No one has and will ever come close in my opinion. Never seen a player that bossed games with the skill, finesse and intelligence that he possessed.

20 Oct 2018 08:51:24
Ma heid's bursting! ZZ is one I'd forgotten all about. And my dad played down south in the fifties and early sixties and played against all the top strikers - Millburn, Charles, Lofthouse, Taylor etc etc but Tom Finney, according to him was the best ever. An incredible footballer who could play anywhere in the front line. Still think Messi is the absolute best I've ever seen. But then again, I never saw Finney!

20 Oct 2018 16:35:58
God bless Stevie Gerrard.

As the first post said, thank goodness the international break is over and we are back to porridge. Let’s talk about Rangers and the going forward. It’s a real pity Jordan Rossitor has so many injury problems because one can see he has an abundance of skill and would be some asset if fit, even being out he came back against Hibs last season and was excellent, sorry for the youngster.

20 Oct 2018 10:52:38
Agree Ulsterman, I really feel for the lad as he just can't catch a break. The good this is he's still young so let"s hope he can get himself fully fit again and show us all the special player we know he is.

19 Oct 2018 12:20:12
Glad to be back to domestic matches this weekend and a massive week for our season, 3 wins will be tough but hopefully we can start the ball rolling on Sunday. If I’m honest I think we really need 12 points from the 4 league games we have before the next international break, that would set us up nicely in the league although everyone will need to up their game, even hearts were afforded too many chances at our goal. The Aberdeen game will be tough as I think it’s their cup final really and Europe I’d take 3 points from the 2 Moscow games although to remain undefeated through these 2 would be sensational!

20 Oct 2018 10:54:03
Really hate the international breaks. It's all about The Rangers for me (and Bhampot) lol.

19 Oct 2018 11:50:39
Yet again a brilliant gesture by our supporters to honour paul gascoigne in our forthcoming betfred semi final, against that sheep mob! All us attending hampden, will be involved in a tribute to the one and only, paul gascoigne!
Heard there's a special banner been made, to honour gazza and will be unfurled that day! Gazza aware of the gesture and would like any funds raised to go to the mental health charity called MIND. Its also a dig, big style, at that mob they call the SFA! How low can some people go! Not fit for purpose and with their being, quite rightly, a big purge on mental health awareness now, it just goes to show, how shocking and inconsiderate, their action were! Get out you lowlife and let football minded, proper people, with morales and scruples, run scottish football! Every other country can't believe the way these persons, have acted towards gazza! Chin up gazza, the rangers family are right behind you and will always love you! God bless you, paul gascoigne! The greatest player i've ever seen at glasgow rangers!

19 Oct 2018 13:19:59
Jim Baxter was better.

19 Oct 2018 13:51:04
Baxter was a great player, no doubt, but Gazza was even better, imo.

19 Oct 2018 14:56:05
Sorry can't agree. Did u have the good fortune to watch Jim first time around at rangers.

19 Oct 2018 15:23:20
Sorry Jboy21,both great players but i agree with seeker, paul gascoigne better than jim baxter for me! Gazza was the closest player to the late great george best, that i've seen mate!

19 Oct 2018 15:35:15
Gazza was a pleasure to have in our team but got to agree with Jboy Jim Baxter before he left for Sunderland was best player I've seen in a Rangers jersey imo.

19 Oct 2018 15:53:57
I was very young but can remember Jim pretty well. A wand of a left foot and did it on the big stage as well. His performances against England in the mid to late sixties were superb. But like Supercopoer I think the raw talent Gazza had was remarkable. He could make very good players look silly at times and the way he used to whip the crowd up into a frenzy with pure skill was unbelievable. The 7-0 game against Hibs (the one where that tit of a referee made a fool of himself by booking Gazza) and that 3-1 match against the sheep to clinch 8iar were prime examples of one player grabbing games by the scruff of the neck. The only other Rangers player to come close to Gazza and Baxter was Laudrup. As Coops said Best was probably the greatest of them all (excluding Messi! ) Oh I don't know!

19 Oct 2018 16:31:42
Always thought Laudrup was better than Gazza myself!

19 Oct 2018 16:39:25
Gazza, Baxter, Laudrup, all great players. i'm not saying Davy Cooper was better but imo was a real joy to watch.

19 Oct 2018 17:39:40
Think Laudrup for me was better than gazza (for us anyway), never saw a guy that got players just couldn't get near he was a phenomenal talent, I was very young when davie Cooper was there. My dad says Cooper and slimjI'm, laudrup for me 👍.

19 Oct 2018 19:24:59
Let me firstly say slim jim baxter was a fabulous footballer but i would like all the guys who state baxter was better than gazza, to give reasons why? I'll give my reasons why i thought gazza was better than slim jim. Gazza was stronger and faster,
gazza scored more goals, although both good passers, imo gazza was better, gazza at one point was regarded the best attacking midfielder in the WORLD, gazza was voted the greatest english footballer of his generation (50 + years), pele stated gazza was a brazilian in an england shirt, imo like i stated in a previous post, gazza was the closest to george best, I'd ever seen! Over to you guys on why you thought slim jim was better. I look forward to reading this!

19 Oct 2018 20:05:11
Cooper was bettter than Gazza imo.
Baxter better than Gazza imo.
Laudrup better than Gazza imo.

Since you have named dropped Pelé for some reason.

Big Ruud Guilit (pardon the spelling) havd cooper in his 1st 11 of all time greats a few years ago.

Everyone allowed there opinions super Cooper doesn’t make you right and them wrong.

Honestly it’s cringy and embarrassing reading your posts am surprised you ain’t got a poll on it.

19 Oct 2018 20:11:01
As a Celtic man with loads of Rangers mates I was discussing greatest ranger and according to them came down to Gazza, Laudrup or Ally. My humble opinion I'd say the great Davie cooper took some beating. All time best for me is Messi or Maradonna! All about opinions though and greatest goalie in this country was definitely goram.

19 Oct 2018 21:09:30
Good to see debate among nearly all blue noses.

19 Oct 2018 21:57:37
I must admit I did like Laudrup as well. What a fantastic player. Gazza, Baxter, Cooper, Laudrup- all world class. Let's leave it at that guys. 👍.

19 Oct 2018 22:17:37
Listen guys let's just be proud that the Baxters Gazzas and whoever your fav player was have wore our jersey.

19 Oct 2018 22:27:00
Messi for me Mike tyeson, I don't get the messi/ ronaldo debate. Messi scores just as many but look at assists and what he brings to team. Ronaldo plays for himself just my opinion but I put messi way above ronaldo.

19 Oct 2018 22:29:51
Thank god its not just me gannet 10.

19 Oct 2018 09:08:17
Just a short one, just read that Rangers statement said they understood the Irish FAs call concerning K Lafferty, as he didn’t use the proper protocol with Michael O’Neill
and FA. Now it’s over.

19 Oct 2018 10:05:22
Lafferty was in the wrong. Rangers have called it right with their statement. 👍
Time to move on.

19 Oct 2018 10:41:56
NI lost both games and Rangers have lost player for game on sun the only one that hasn't lost is Lafferty. He will still get picked for NI and he's still getting his wages from us.

19 Oct 2018 21:58:51
Heard Stevie G"s interview earlier. Fair enough, we take our medicine and move on.

Dobbie call up for Scotland is ludicrous. Irrespective of scoring record it is a tally against Championship nobodies. Back in the day I probably could have amassed a few against likes of Forfar. He will do nothing at international level.

19 Oct 2018 06:35:18
How do you know this? We are crying out for a striker and anything is now worth a shot. Who would you have MBW?
