If Rossiter is to play in defensive centre mid and we have a fair bit of cover for that position. Would McCrorie be good as part of a back 3 with Goldson and Katic? I know he wasnt as good when part of a back 2 but might be good in a 3. I remember Tuguy playing sweeper a few times and thought he was great. Different players of course.

I can see rossiter playing more of an attackin mid. Thinking back to a few late runs into the box against the wannabees last season reminded me of a young durranty

Depending on the formation we play next season I could see both McCrorie and Rossiter playing defensive mid. Nothing wrong with playing two deep midfielders in the same team, protects our back line and gives us a solid platform to build play and makes it harder to play through us. Henderson and Can, Hererra and Pogba, Kante and Fabregas to name a few all play fairly deep for their respective teams and I could see it working with McCrorie and Rossiter especially if we go with a back 3 this season

Rossiter coulibally Arfield
Windass Murphy
Morelos

Backup looks strong with Fod's, Docherty, Jack, McCrorie, Candelas, John, Alves, Sadiq, Ejaria to choose from.

Main issue based on these names looks like a lack of creativity but overall a big improvement on last year.

great post golden bear i'd say most of selection maybe accurate, think murphy has do more went missing towards end of season. windass has finally stop being a luxury player we can't afford. rossiter has to stay fit and on the pitch. we do have numbers and depth, love to see ings or origo of liverpool added. we wouldn't be far off title. london jock

I would be very surprised if windass is in the starting eleven. declan john for me has to start, his attacking width and runs are what we need. I don't think morelos will be the main striker either.

Windass Murphy and Morelos are nowhere near good enough to be our forward line next season that was proven last season especially when it got to business end of season Morelos has potential no doubt but Windass and Murphy flatter to deceive and do you honestly think that mob across city will look at that forward line and be scared sorry but our fans need a reality check we lack genuine quality especially upfront and have done for long time

I'm reading on other sites fans concerns about signing coulibaly as we already have mcrorie, jack and rossiter as cdms while I like all three and they have been unlucky with injury and suspension you could ask how reliable these guys are? I really hope all 3 have a good season though.

Seen we have offered 4.5 million for mcburnie tbh i think someone like will grigg would do a job and would probably cost 3 million max.
I think gerrard still has money to spend and it looks like a striker worth a few million is what he will be spending it on .
Who would you fellow bears sign if we had this money to spend on a striker and why? Anyone think vokes or barnes would do us a job depending on how much dyche would want? I also like the look of jack Marriott as well but a heard the posh were wanting 5 or 6 million for him.
Another option would be sadiq with an option to buy after his loan deal which looks all set granted a work permit wonder how much roma would want.

I really hope not! We have already spend what 5M give or take? I can’t see us lumping 4.5M on him. I would think if this is true and we infact are prepared to pay this then maybe Windass is off to Cardiff and we will be using the funds from that.

Personally I wouldn’t pay 4.5M for him. Should try get him on loan with an option to buy get him up for a season see how he does and if he bangs them in then get him signed up permanently. (If only it was that easy eh 😂)

Grigg is absolute mince. He doesn't start for N. I. and that speaks volumes because we're extremely short on strikers. McBurnie imo is not much better.

McBurnie has a year left on his contract and can sign a pre-contract in January 2019. That is what we should be planning for and McBurnie can just play out his current contract. As for Griggs, not sure he would do the business in Scotland.

Whoever Gerrard and Allen choose are the right choices.
Our job is to get behind the team.
Their job is to buy, pick and organize the players into a winning formula for us to get behind.

This came up before and although it’s a totally mad notion I really do think it would be the ultimate wind up. I would love to do it when they arses are doing it . will never forget them cheering in sarcasm when our team sheets were read out at ibrox or when millar scored in the 5.1 drubbing . Didn’t see millar too upset with himself that game right enough. If we were to beat them then I think yes it would be a brill move and the ultimate end u but I do realise it will and would go over some bears heads
