Thoughts on the youth for next season i'm personally looking foward to seeing the boy, Jordan Thompson and Ryan Hardie. both boys from Accrington Stanley have had good write-ups. we have some gems and promising times ahead.

02 Jun 2016 09:02:21
Liam Burt/ Tom Walsh/ Jack Thompson the McCrorie brothers as well. Very exciting times.

02 Jun 2016 09:32:03
Has everyone forget about Murdoch? for me he was our most promising talent. .

02 Jun 2016 10:44:52
unless MW changes his policy and team selection, I don't think you will see much of any of these guys, especially if another 3 or 4 signings are made for first team squad.

02 Jun 2016 14:55:26
I'd have no problem signing players like Murdoch and Hardie etc to longer term deals and loaning them out a couple more seasons to mature, they will eventually come good no doubt just like Mccormack and others we let go too early have. I hope we don't ship them out and they inevitably go on to become players worth £5m+.

01 Jun 2016 22:26:41
Hi fellow bears, just wanted to know what's happening with the strips this year. Haven't heard anything except Dave Kings recent press release.
Hope it's ok to ask 🔴⚪️🔵.

01 Jun 2016 22:59:11
The home kit is out tomorrow but we're all none the wiser with what's happening with it in regards to buying it or not and we're awaiting the dave king statement that he said he'd make regarding the politics of buying thd kit etc as he's cut all ties with sports direct.

02 Jun 2016 07:57:18
Think most on here know I'm not Dave King biggest fan
As for the strips I not heard a thing about it since the statement but he has previous remember the season book boycott
A statement then nothing for months right enough it had effect on the share price and saved him a bit of money
Please remember we need to sell a certain number of units or the club gets a bill from sports direct.

02 Jun 2016 08:16:22
Mullad is the bill not to the Retail company, not the company running the club?

02 Jun 2016 09:26:39
No its the club mate I'm sure
Remember reading that the unsold one were charged at £50 each then sd put them in a sale at a tenner each and we only got £2.50 so each unsold strip costs us £47.50.

02 Jun 2016 09:28:15
Omg u will never b happy, Dave King and this board have worked wonders this yr, can u still not see it, the difference is night and day, I can't wait for this board to shut use haters up, see when King spoke of 30 million needed, he didn't say it would b spent in one go, it will be spent gradually, I'm so glad this board is in place.

02 Jun 2016 10:29:33
So how much has Dave put pray tell.

02 Jun 2016 11:45:46
Mullad, there is an issue with putting money into a football club. it's taxable, why would anyone get £30mil of their cash and give half of it to a club the other half to HMRC. Short term loans until we are self-sufficient will do me.

02 Jun 2016 12:12:40
I thought we were contesting the contract all together?

02 Jun 2016 11:55:30
Mullad its a case of sports direct expect to sell so many shirts, if not enough are sold the club make up the short fall (cash) if we have to make up the shortfall, it means ashley makes very little, if we had to buy all unsold shirts ashley would be making the shirts by the millions, think about it, now that dk has ripped up the contract we won't be giving ashley any money at all unless a court decides we are in the wrong, which i very much doubt.

01 Jun 2016 21:26:05
I would seriously like some kind of Scout with around the world knowledge on players or at least familiar with hot up and coming property in the European leagues!

02 Jun 2016 08:29:45
Rumour has it that Amoruso has been asked to keep tabs on any quality young players in the lower Italian Leagues. I hope that this is true and would like to see us do the same in Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Eastern Europe.

With the number of relationships that we have in the USA and Australia we should have no problem scouting talent in these countries as well.

01 Jun 2016 20:41:04
Heard we are after Fanendo Adi from Potland Timbers looks a good tall striker he's getting watched today!

01 Jun 2016 19:41:16
First time on but I would love to see the big Blackburn man at Rangers.

01 Jun 2016 20:58:14
Reegie. Would you love to see us spend 2million on him and then 28k+ a week in wages?

02 Jun 2016 08:24:18
Jimjam, as far as I was aware Hanley is on 14k per week at Blackburn. he'd ask for 20k, which for a 24 year old international player isn't bad. he could become a great player. let's not forget we just had 4 players leave our club all of which were on a very pretty wage each. plus extra cash from season tickets. King and co now what they are doing so I wouldn't worry to much about wages, as they will have a plan. the fact we are aiming for Championship quality of player is great, shows we actually mean to challenge them next year.

02 Jun 2016 11:16:56
It is bad because he isn't very good.

02 Jun 2016 09:21:10
Onlyshowaround

Ive based his wages on basically what has been banded about the sites and what is reported in the press. 14k for an international player would for me be acceptable but the fact that Fulham have had a bid of 1.5m rejected shows that he is going to cost a good few quid and on top of that Fulham could easily double his wages for him. At 24 he has years in front of him but it could turn out to be a bidding war that we simply can't compete with. I have every faith in the management team, scouting system and the board.

01 Jun 2016 14:20:34
Hope we get Aaron Mooy from Melbourne City, waiting to after Greece games class player would be a great buy better than Tommy Rogic and arsenal looking to pay 4million for him if we get him will cost over a million but worth every penny.

01 Jun 2016 15:24:01
Agree BBP. He was a standout in the A-League last season along with Craig Goodwin who got his move to Europe. I am positive Mooy will be a perfect fit in Warburton's set up. Crazy to think he is an ex St Mirren player!

01 Jun 2016 16:16:10
Your right beau every time I see mooy he gets better and better saw him a few times against perth glory and watch in A league not the greatest of leagues I know but would thrive under warburton and has an amazing touch great balance and never wastes a ball.

01 Jun 2016 13:17:34
Heard we are on the lookout for a potential 2nd or 3rd string Keeper. What do people think of Eiji Kawashima that just left Dundee United? 70 odd caps for Japan and only 33, plus I don't think he had much to do with DUFC's relegation.

01 Jun 2016 13:41:13
Wouldn't touch him, terrible keeper.

01 Jun 2016 14:00:22
Not a chance he was rubbish with Dundee United couldn't catch the cold.

01 Jun 2016 15:25:34
It seems we are pushing for Bentley as it is now in the tabloids as well as on a lot of Internet forums. Never seen Bentley play myself but there may just be something in it. Having said that I still thing Foderingham is a decent keeper.

01 Jun 2016 15:53:48
Disagree about Wes beau. There were saves there to make in the last few games that would have elevated him into the descent category. However, he repeatedly keeps getting done at his near post and fails to make those kind of bread and butter saves that would make you a descent keeper. Boruc, Shagger and Forster were descent. Goram and Klos were good/ brilliant. Think having had a season ticket show us what he's made of has unfortunately shown him to be wanting and not up to the task. Would love nothing more than for him to make me eat my words but can't see that happening I'm afraid.

01 Jun 2016 16:56:20
What's wrong with Liam Kelly as 3rd choice no some 33 year old.

01 Jun 2016 18:54:21
Pieandbovril

Totally agree about Foderingham he is very average and we need better if we are to challenge Celtic. He is far too easily beaten and some of the mistakes he has made have been shocking.

01 Jun 2016 21:39:58
Goram was simply the best. Klos was very very good. Wes is overworked due to a bad centre half pairing. the others had a very very good defence to help them!

02 Jun 2016 00:36:57
I know it's a bit off topic but going back we have had some outstanding goalkeepers. Remember how good Niemi was, albeit with other teams as he never really got a look in with us but he was a class act too. Big Wes is a semi decent keeper and nothing more. A position we need to strengthen in in my eyes. Bentley ticks the boxes.

01 Jun 2016 11:37:29
Loved the comment Ibrahimovic said about enjoying reading stories about himself and where he is going. He won't say where he is going to go until he is bored of the comments. So if there is any chance he is allowing the stories to sway his judgement on his destination.
'Ibrahimovic I would ask you to join rangers in the spl but honestly I don't think your good enough'
Think that will work?

01 Jun 2016 13:00:57
I agree. SPL would be a real challenge for him. Maybe he's passed it now and wouldn't be able to meet the challenge.

01 Jun 2016 10:28:35
So as predicted Stubbs has bottled it.

Should Lennon get the job do we think he can get Hibs out of the league first time of asking.

Will Lennon go for the job?

01 Jun 2016 10:40:11
He has no job so it would make sense to go for a job.

01 Jun 2016 10:58:20
Who cares? Hibs were last season, let's look forward to next season.

01 Jun 2016 11:16:34
LOL! It would make sense Rafbob!

01 Jun 2016 11:34:33
unless he's on one of those continue to get your wages unless you take a job deals, that managers seem to have. you never see many of the managers from the English Leagues rushing back into management?

01 Jun 2016 11:48:35
Who cares who hibs get they are a championship team not even in same league as us now.

01 jun 2016 12:47:51
i doesn't matter who takes the job hibs wont be back up for a long time no money wont have their best players no chance of ppromotion.

01 Jun 2016 13:26:02
I agree who cares about hibs or Stubbs he's hardly bottled it he's left for a bigger job most managers would do the same.

01 Jun 2016 15:27:05
Aland Stubbs will be lining his pocket with triple the salary he was getting at Hibs so I am sure he will not care if you call him a bottler.

01 Jun 2016 15:47:22
@Beau

LOL i'm loving some of these responses. I am certain Stubbs will not give a toss about my comment. However it was never my intention to wind up Stubbs, I am not really sure he will be reading these posts, perhaps you know different on that one Beau, you seem to be a man in the know if I am to believe everything you write.

01 Jun 2016 21:47:00
I would have loved to have said that Stubbs has "Hibs'd it" but clearly that isn't the case anymore and to be fair well deserved victory. However i'd love Lennon to take the Hibs job and i'd love it even more if he once again failed in the lower leagues!

01 Jun 2016 08:43:48
Not Rangers I know but, I mentioned before the cup final, that John Hughes had worked his ticket out of Inverness, in the hope of a wee job in Edinburgh.
Oh look what's happened! I wouldn't want to suggest people were 'tapped' or prior arrangements had been made, but I'm a sceptic. And just exactly how many Hibs 'fans' have been given lifetime bans. Once Celtic take back their loanees, they need to be careful the place will be empty next season at this rate.

01 Jun 2016 09:18:03
This Hibs giving out lifetime bans is all about PR and trying to avoid what should be an inevitable two year ban from the Scottish Cup and having to play half their home games behind closed doors next season. How many have they banned, 15 - 20.

There were hundreds on that pitch causing mayhem.

The 'banning orders' is just to get their pals in the press to paint them in a good light.

01 Jun 2016 09:53:26
If stubbs goes, am putting my money on Neil Lemmon to get the Hibs job, u heard it hear first, they are a good project, and let's face it he not going to a big club any time soon, so this is his chance to try take on Rangers and Selik, I think it is a banker, and I think that is why hibs are letting stubbs go, they have already probably got Lemmons agreement to take the job!

@M3LVO

You didn't hear it here first we talked about it a couple of days ago! LOL. I think Lennon will get the job.

01 Jun 2016 12:01:30
Sorry GDog missed that post. Stubbs confirmed offski, Lemmon odds 5/ 1, am sticking a score on that 1 thank u!

01 jun 2016 12:50:49
john hughes for the hibs job.

01 Jun 2016 21:06:53
@M3LVO The Ex Leeds bloke is getting a mention now. Could be an outside shout.

31 May 2016 21:31:03
What's any ones thoughts on bougie coming back, another one I thought of was aluko can't see him getting a shot at the premiership with hull city, were crying out for a striker really hope it's not going to be Cummings.

01 Jun 2016 01:15:25
Would love to see aluko back.

01 Jun 2016 09:54:35
would take them both back in a second, a think they would be a good piece of business just for a season or 2, experience is needed for this tilt at the title first time of asking!

defo don't like looking back but if we could get these two i'd be happy for a season certainly wouldn't do us any harm.
