Weiss continues with the riddles in his Tweets, Gaffa says he would love him here but can't afford him. McKay potentially available if he refuses to sign new deal, Warbs a big fan with a decent budget now Forest takeover is complete.
Not saying Weiss is on his way but it's plausible he could replace wee McKay if he leaves.
Personally I think we should be looking to sign him up on long term contract to see how he progresses and to get a better Fee for him in future if we ever do sell. That said what an absolute gem of a replacement Weiss would be 😊
So exciting being a bear ♥️⚪️🔵.

Love it. so exciting being a bear.
Think yourself lucky your not a Celtic fan. imagine your team won the invincible treble, my god you would have a heart attack!

02 Jun 2017 10:06:45
Markiebhoy

Imagine your team had won an invicible treble, but instead of celebrating it you decide to troll your direct competitors rumours page. Obsession or irony…you choose.

02 Jun 2017 11:14:36
Markie, believe me, everyone of us is very thankful we are not Celtic fans.

02 Jun 2017 16:57:20
Imagine you had won 7 trebles instead of only 4 😳
Imagine you hadn't only won 1 title in 10 years when Rangers were in the league and not docked points? .
Imagine your fans weren't sent a letter reminding them to wash before attending matches 😂
Imagine your best player hadn't just returned to Man City
Imagine your Invincibles actually won every game of their league season or had went 2 seasons unbeaten.
Imagine you never lost to a semi professional team during this unbelievable season or didn't lose by 7-0 your record defeat in that season.
Imagine you had just done the clean sweep of winning 0 matches in group stage of Europa League and Champions League in successive seasons and Imagine you had the 10's of millions to improve squad instead of being linked with McGinn from Hibs or Johny Hayes and tried to offer GMS or Christie to help fund this superstar signing.
Imagine you weren't jealous of your Rivals Transfer dealings and you were able to stay on your own page.
Rangers ♥️⚪️🔵👌🏻

That Salvador Agra we are linked with looks a quality player. Reminds me of Nacho Novo but with better technique, always in total control of the football with his touches at pace, doesn't look like stumbling over the ball or any of that nonsense, great balance and agility.

Get him in on loan and let him fall in love with the club then pay what it takes to get him next year should all go well.

Can't wait for the next few weeks to pass to see just how well Pedro shapes the team.

01 Jun 2017 23:44:45
I see Herrera could be signing with what I've seen he's a striker we've been crying out for years! If we're splashing the cash I would love to see us going for Cummings I think the two of them together would be superb what do you think bears? 👍🏼.

01 Jun 2017 23:58:53
Please no, Cummings is an utter dafty and to be honest, is a bit of a luxury in terms of what he brings on the field. Not enough desire and defensive contribution, and has a tendency to go missing, inconsistency. Would rather see Pena play off the striker than have Cummings in a front 2, Pena has more power and graft and still a goal threat. Also, Cummings is no winger so wouldn't have him there.

02 Jun 2017 00:08:41
Fair point mate but I do think he is a talent and I think Cummings and Pena both playing off Herrera would be excellent!

01 Jun 2017 23:36:52
Hearing a few whispers that we are interested in getting a player on loan from the fringes of chelsea as part of the Gilmour deal. As outrages as it Sounds, Loic Remy is the name. Would be something else if it was true.

02 Jun 2017 00:20:36
Ziggy don't be daft Remy is on 30k a week

02 Jun 2017 08:46:55
Im not saying I think this will happen but if Chelsea are quite sure they won't play him they may take a smaller hit by paying some of his wage.
E. G. Toral's wage last season was near £30k and Arsenal paid half!

01 Jun 2017 23:04:45
Me thinks Jamie Walker is a done deal. Noticed on his instagram that he's started following most of the rangers squad as well as official rangers page.

01 Jun 2017 22:48:09
Wow, Dave King and the rest of the board deserve tremendous credit for the feelings generated over the past couple of days amongst us fans. Alves and Jack signed, Pena looks nailed on to join for a pretty significant fee and surely more to follow. It's a stark contrast from 6 months ago when our only business was the loan signings of Toral and Hyndman but. Clearly the board didn't trust Warburton and did a great job refusing to give him any more money to waste, as frustrating as it was at the time, here and now it looks like they've got it spot on. Pedro looks to have a significant budget which I'm sure wouldn't have been available if we spent in January. Positive times ahead, looking forward to seeing our team take shape over the coming weeks.

02 Jun 2017 07:06:09
Absolutely agree. The Board have wanted to put in investment but were hamstrung by the AGM vote which meant that they couldn't increase their shareholdings or introduce new investors without Ashley being given the opportunity to buy more shares. Once Ashley is out of the way, the soft loans will be converted to shares and as a club, we will be debt free. We will also have a significant increase in our earnings from the Retail side of things.

We are signing quality players and funds are obviously being made available. Well done to the Board.

Next season our team will be much stronger, Celtic will be at the same level and Aberdeen will be significantly weaker. I can't wait for next season.

02 Jun 2017 11:57:11
Can't agree more j1985. We are a work in progress but on an upwards trajectory as per the 5 year plan set out by the board.

There is a good feeling just now but we won't get it all our own way - a cup win and 2nd within 12 points would be a good realistic target for the coming season (although it would be nice to win the league but unrealistic)

Disappointing that none of the many naysayers have appeared on here to share some positive thoughts - as usual they are waiting on the sidelines for our first few bad performances so they can jump straight back in and say "told you so"

Sad

01 Jun 2017 22:38:18
Any news on players who will be departing, it's gone awful quiet!

02 Jun 2017 02:48:18
Waghorn, Halliday, McKay, hodson ,,crooks dodoo forester hill senderos

02 Jun 2017 08:07:23
I don't think there will be any info on those players until at least the window is open. But bear in mind that the window has 3 months till it shuts too so could be quite a while till some move on.

01 Jun 2017 20:56:18
I see Peter Lovenkrands is back at rangers working as a coach great to see the way we are shaping up it's looking good guys but only time will tell

01 Jun 2017 20:40:24
Anybody got any info on the dead wood moving out or any teams interested in them!

01 Jun 2017 23:34:55
Yes - exclusive - nobody wants them, including the clown who thought they were good enough to wear a Rangers jersey.

02 Jun 2017 10:25:23
Agree ecky. There won't be much interest and it will be very tough to move any of these duds on especially with the money they are currently on. I have said many times Warburton was a spectacular failure. He wasted any money he was given. Any decent manager would know you build from the back. Warburton had Senderos and Kiernan. Sums it up. Almost every player he signed was a failure with next to no sell on value. The majority of the squad went backwards and had no fight. PC is signing much higher quality players who I hope stay injury free and hit the ground running. The bigger problem is getting Warburtons many failures and duds off the wage bill. Here's hoping. The jersey was too big for all of them

01 Jun 2017 20:23:50
Quick question. What happens if and when Craig whyte is found guilty. Are we due any composition?
Players leaving for free due to uncertainty of there future.
Years missed out on Europe.
Plus if this had never happened we would not have had the dodgy deal with cashley.

01 Jun 2017 21:11:54
Just a couple of questions in relation to your post:-

(1) I assume you mean COMPENSATION?

(2) From who exactly?

(3) Are you for real?

02 Jun 2017 08:10:47
If there was to be any compensation it would be payable by Whyte and there is no way he is coughing up any dosh. And also it wouldn't be due to us it would be due to the Old Co which is currently still being run by BDO.

01 Jun 2017 20:16:39
What's the thoughts on weiss coming back spotted hauling his luggage at an airport.

01 Jun 2017 20:40:27
Believe he's visiting family back in slovakia sadly, I liked him and still think he'd be an excellent addition but wish he'd wrap the teasing.

01 Jun 2017 20:48:34
He needs to sign or not all this cryptic stuff is just getting boring now he has been doing it for years I mean taking a pic at an airport with his luggage he knows what he is doing and what reaction he is going to get I just think he gets turned on by fans asking him to come back or something lol would love to see him back but either come back or shut up.

01 Jun 2017 19:49:40
Going 2 think positive I think if we sign 7 or 8 quality player I think we could challenge celtic next season looking forward to it.

01 Jun 2017 20:19:32
The question is whether Celtic can challenge us!

01 Jun 2017 18:52:54
NOT sure about this dalcio lad i know it may only be a loan but his goal record isn't great for a striker.

01 Jun 2017 19:45:07
He's a midfielder not a striker

01 Jun 2017 23:44:38
He is NOT a striker don't know why people disagree with you. Tabloids have that wrong, he can play on the wings, AM or CM, been used mostly right wing as a left footer coming inside though.

01 Jun 2017 19:05:51
Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack welcome to ibrox! let's get Pena signed boy looks an animal lol perfect for sticking lego muncher firmly on his arse :D

still need a better striker though, business looking good though so hopefully we get what we need

!

01 Jun 2017 19:03:40
If rangers bring in at least 8 players of higher quality then we already have I'd be ecstatic extremely happy.

01 Jun 2017 18:58:07
What about ash Taylor? He's a freebie, surely better than what we have.

01 Jun 2017 16:16:50
Is anyone else having a wee chuckle watching the sheep lose a host of first team players and possibly their manager?

Would love to see them put well and truly in their place next season.

01 Jun 2017 16:43:11
I think Pedro called it right saying they were coming to the end of their cycle. What a shame.

01 Jun 2017 17:18:58
Yep, really think they might struggle to finish 3rd next year

01 Jun 2017 17:22:41
Ye surprised they let McGinn go thought he was a first team regular

01 Jun 2017 18:15:24
While there is an undoubted satisfaction and gratification from watching those who seek to oppress us get picked apart, I would prefer teams in Scotland as a whole to stabilise and strengthen to raise the standard of our game and give us that continued healthy competition to push us on in the years to come. Having said that, I would like or league to become a healthier environment similar to the German league where teams don't have the same spitfull attitude towards one another hoping for each other's demise, with the exception of Leipzig who seem to be universally hated over there by opposing club's.

01 Jun 2017 18:54:50
Have to say lads i'm loving the fact they are falling apart, i live up in Aberdeen and the last 5 years they have taken the piss, trully believe they will fall back to mid table side they truly are

01 Jun 2017 19:09:02
Dont see what the fuss is about we were really bad the whole league is rotten Aberdeen were bad but the league standard flattered to deceive in their case, celtic were by far the better team in a crap league and that team in the past would not have won anything, in fact when we went down Aberdeen, hearts and the likes should be ashamed of themselves that they never came close to challenging. Next year once we resume normal service the also runs of sheep and jambo's will be back to moaning of old firm monopolies even though they are the ones who voted against a bigger league with less matches against the old firm and effectively a better chance of winning the league for more matches of getting beat by the old firm as long as it means getting the cash that comes by playing us. I hope they follow dungdee utd and get relegated as they are a blight on the landscape. Good bye sheep lovers I'd like to say you tried but you only know how to do that when the mighty Glasgow rangers come around

01 Jun 2017 20:21:35
Spot on gary75

01 Jun 2017 15:25:20
hi fellow bears i haven't heard much about pre season friendlies anyone got any ideas if we have any?

01 Jun 2017 15:31:49
There is a Tournament down south, however no there appears to be no real friendlies, mainly because European qualifiers.

01 Jun 2017 16:21:22
really who is the tournament with?

01 Jun 2017 16:39:25
Its a mini tournament at Nuneaton Town at the end of July, I would expect that it will be the under 20's he sends down!

01 Jun 2017 17:49:33
Does anyone know when the draw is to see who our first lot of European games are against?

01 Jun 2017 18:58:03
19/ 06 I believe it is mate.

01 Jun 2017 14:56:44
Its nice to see us signing a couple of leaders in alves and jack. Both been captains. We need a bit of leadership on the park.

Also good to see that business is. just being done! No messing about arguing over the 100 grand here or there in the daily press etc

01 Jun 2017 16:29:54
What will the negatoids say now money is being spent on and off the park?

01 Jun 2017
New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, He's holding the scarf :)

01 Jun 2017 14:22:57
If dave king is shelling outs some £££'s which it very much appears to be the case. It makes me think he was never too sure of Warburton et al and we are really all appearing more confident as things are moving along nicely for early deals and regenerating this mediocre squad that caxhina inhrrited. I for one will be delighted if we comrhave out of this with 5 first team quality players. We surely need to offload but there is plenty of time to get rid of the dead weight we have had to put up with.

01 Jun 2017 17:38:33
If that was the case I don't blame king if it was my millions and the manager was coming to me with players who couldant get games at championship and league1 clubs I'd be a little reluctant aswell. However I do think last season being so poor have made the board think I wouldant be surprised tho if some extra money is coming from next season budget but at least we will have a decent core to the team all signed for 2 to 3 years so that we won't need to spend as much next season anyway. We need to go all out this season and it appears we are doing that.

01 Jun 2017 14:14:15
Ryan jack has officially signed on a 3 year deal.

01 Jun 2017 10:55:58
So OK 😌, Alves is done, really pleased with that one.

Jack gets done today- surely in the bag as he's now passed medical and agreed terms.

And Pena is another all but done, listening to the noises coming out of Mexico 🇲🇽

So that's 3 . If I had the choice (and I suppose it's not to far fetched as we're very heavily linked)

They would be as follows Dorrans, Cardoso and the Mexico 🇲🇽 international striker Herra.

That's basically a whole brand new more high quality spine. I can see us getting at least 2 outta the 3 of them if not all.
Don't know we're the money is coming from but its still exciting, that we're linked and making signings of higher quality all in a short time. Optimistic!

01 Jun 2017 11:39:17
I think there must be new money in the pot from somewhere!

01 Jun 2017 12:39:12
Dave King sold one of his US companies a couple of months back - generated £8m cash. No proof, however, fair assumption that's what's funding the player acquisition. may be wrong of course.

01 Jun 2017 12:51:56
Reading bits from Mexican🇲🇽 Rapports the Herrera deal is hotting up.

Only because I don't really read nor believe the Scottish press!

Supposedly good in the air, technically good as you'd expect from a player from that neck of the woods! With ped saying that he is now a complete striker that has improved every year!

And Pumas are willing to do deal, also the player himself also interested in the move, as he knows ped and fancys the chance to play with Rangers

That's about all I can find without looking at the Scottish press!

I don't really have any real sources - except it's all over the internet, that Rangers are not just signing Pena, it's also Herrera also. With talks already taken place and are advanced.

Although I think there will other players coming in before this takes place. Again this just stuff that's out there, anybody can find it.

I think but can't be certain that he may well be eligible for a visa, as unlike Pena he is internationally involved at present.

Wether this one is just speculation or the real thing i'm not sure. Maybe someone on here with more info or sources than me can tell us if this is just speculation in overdrive or there is substance to this?

01 Jun 2017 14:04:45
Dorrans Kenny McLean and Callum paterson will be signing for the gers

01 Jun 2017 09:00:34
All quiet from the Dave King haters!

Surely there must be something positive to say this week?

01 Jun 2017 09:35:37
Yes absolutely! We have been crying out for him to get his hands in his pockets, and finally things are moving in the right direction, i can only think that last season there was the biggest boot up the rectum he required to wake up! But is he funding this? Is it the season ticket money? Or are there investors?

01 Jun 2017 09:58:17
It was said from the word go last season that King never trusted Warburton. King wanted Caixinha from the word go be it as an assistant to start with. That's why here is money now

01 Jun 2017 10:13:17
dazrfc86, why does it matter who is paying for it?
Dave King is a shareholder same as many others. He put his hands in his pockets to buy a stake that would give him some control when no one else would do it.
He has put together a board and given the club stability.
He is now making funds available to support our new manager who is attempting to bring in a caliber of player that is way above what we have.
He said there was a 5 year plan. he did not say all the money would be spent in year 1 or 2.

01 Jun 2017 11:14:55
I didn't say it mattered but from day one we've been scraping money up to get rotten players, and suddenly we are all out, not that i'm complaining, but if its season ticket money, we had that last season and nothing was spent on fees, barring garner really, so i am curious where and who it is coming from

01 Jun 2017 08:35:16
Anyone think Bruno would make a good captain?

01 Jun 2017 08:53:34
Yes I think he should be

01 Jun 2017 09:28:26
He's not even kicked a ball yet in Scotland

01 Jun 2017 09:35:23
pc said he is leader on and off the park, read that whichever way u want

01 Jun 2017 10:22:13
Wouldn't strip Wallace of captaincy. I'm sure with better players round him his performances will improve.

01 Jun 2017 11:09:37
I agree with what your saying but it's important that we keep to our roots, retaining our scottish brand. Giving a foreign player the captaincy due to stature in the game would be a mistake. Wallace has been a great servant to us through our dark times. Kicking him in the danglebag isn't really repaying his loyalty.

01 Jun 2017 11:45:08
Alrus blue, Alves wouldn't be the first non scot to captain Rangers - Amaruso for 1.

01 Jun 2017 12:52:59
That wasn't the basis of my point. What I meant was Wallace has done nothing wrong and remained loyal to the club. To strip him of the captaincy would be harsh. Yes Bruno Alves is a vastly superior player but we already have a captain. If we were to srtart this trent, we'd be reassigning the captaincy on player status, season on season.

01 Jun 2017 13:43:40
I wouldn't strip Wallace just yet but what it is good to see is that Caixinha has spotted the lack of leadership all over the park and is improving that with the likes of Alves and Jack.
