Just to say, as a Celtic fan, hope Steven Naismith recovers soon from his injury. Smashing player and, as I posted earlier in the year when he visited my son's football team for a training session, a smashing guy too.
Get better soon Steven.

Believable22 Unbelievable0

Thanks mate

A decent celtic fan for once

Agree14 Disagree0

Well said mate. I am sure Steven will take great heart from your kind words. Nice to know that there are still good football fans out there. Felt the same way when Izzy got injured for your lot. At the end of the day we are all football supporters and Scottish football can ill afford to lose 2 of our best players. Well done again Pal.

Would be great if Rangers signed Chris Brunt or James Morrison from WBA for the right side of midfield. I know financially it isn't possible at the moment but WHEN the tax case is resolved and Rangers are going to be stronger than ever that's the type of players i'd like to see.

Believable10 Unbelievable2

See even when the tax case is sorted we still wont be able to afford them are u that thick u dont understand that ???
whyte has no cash

Agree4 Disagree10

I think to anybody who reads the original post and the reply they'll not even have to think to work out who's the thick one, it's obvious. Illiterate tim on the Rangers site again spouting sh*t, Chris Brunt is a lifelong Rangers supporter i'm pretty sure when Rangers tax case is resolved we can spend money on good players to add to our already strong team and core.

Yes Whyte has no cash, but he is there to guide us through this. investors will come in when mr Whyte has finished his work

Was there a bounce game tonight? Anyone have any info on it and whether sise featured?

BHW

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I've been trying to find out this information also, there will be something on the Rangers website about the bounce game tomorrow most probably. I'm about 99% sure Sise would have featured, I think he was the main reason it was set-up, unless he picked up a niggling injury before the game or another reason like that.

Good luck to Naismith on his long road back to fitness. He has been terrific for us the past couple of years and has been in the form of his life this season. The people who mock him are a disgrace, they are a low as it goes. Never wish an injury on someone.

GovanFR

Believable10 Unbelievable1

The people that mock ANY player who gets injured are a disgrace, some of your own fans are guilty of the same crimes GovanFR.

Actually I pulled you lot up for saying you wished ill on Diouf and pointed out Roy Keane deserved to be banned from football for deliberately injuring someone. Your hypocrite ed got annoyed because I criticized an ex Celtic player. Name me the Celtic players I was wishing injuries on? You wont be able to because I didn't. I leave the sick injury hoping individuals to post on the Celtic page. You need an eye test by the way, or perhaps you can't read.

Now that naisys out we should be looking at similar players in style like bedoya, fleck and McKay to step up and play to justify their positions at the club. I realise bedoya and McKay are new but theyve done nothing so far.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

The hardest thing for whoever takes Naisys place long term will be the expectation heaped upon them. As long as we keep patient and not panic after one bad game theyll come good and possibly a new hero will emerge. Im still gutted hes out though. CheltBlue

Agree2 Disagree0

Well fleck is an non starter for me whatever he had has gone looks really poor ! Bedoya has energy to burn but looks lost , Mckays the man....

Agree3 Disagree0

My only concern with McKay is I believe he is very left footed and the position of Naismiths was right side midfield into centre. It's just a concern if McKay does come in and it works well good stuff but I just hope the balance of the team is not affected. Blue4ever

I'd just like to say how sickened i am with Aberdeen fans. Shouting abuse at Naismith when he was getting taken off was bad, but all teams would t=do that at least minority's of fans would do it. The thing that sickened me were the 1971 chants coming from the home support. That is absolutely vile and I have never heard Septic saying anything about the human tragedy of the ibrox disaster. The also repeated chants against Iain Durrant GET OVER IT IT HAPPNED DECADES AGO STOP LIVING IN THE PAST YOU MISSERABLE CU**S

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Oh yes they did have chants about the Ibrox disaster, and jokes !! Let them deny it, because I am old enough to remember some of them and the @rseholes I grew up with singing and joking about it, but you are right about one thing, it's disgusting............ the same as our fans singing about Munich, no excuses, it's vile. 4 in a row

Agree3 Disagree0

Indeed, fans should stop living in the past - it's not as if the Old Firm fans have any songs that mention the past, is it? Ditties about stuff that happened hundreds of years ago would never be sung by them, would they?

Hey bears, STV have down a breakdown of what happens when a club enters administration, unless you think they are a Tim company also.
Basically you will lose 10 points, cannot buy anyone but can still sell players, and you must be voted back in by all 11 SPL clubs.
If a "phoenix" club arises again they must have majority of creditors agreeing, UEFA bans you for 3 years from europe, SFA could ban you from Scottish cup, you might even be docked 15 points (Leeds set this precedent for a phoenix club) as you can see lots of "hoops" to jump through ha ha.
In Whyte we trust LOL Timalloy

Believable0 Unbelievable5

There ye go again F**ny Baws STV this BBC that 10 points this Phoenix nights that. Do you really think that the majority of Rangers fans give a s**t about what you think i dont think so im just writing this cuz a have nothing else to do right now so i thought i would give you two mins of my time. What you know Timalloy ma boy is SFA because there aint nothing positive to say about your FOOTBALL team cuz like you there LOSERS and if you get beat by the well on Sunday its ta ta bella Neil Lemon. In Lemon we trust ''this is not the end but only the beginning'' zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz go and boil yer heed lol Timothy lol We have faith in Mr Whyte and i think that i speak for the majority of fans and say that what will be will be for we will always be ''AYE READY'' and as long as were always winning Leagues and cups and being world record holders that's all that matters. In God we believe, In Ally we trust and in Mr Whyte we have faith. WRTP !! leethepee

Agree7 Disagree0

We've been beating hoops for years doesn't worry us ;)

Scott

Agree5 Disagree0

UEFA doesn't necessarily ban you at all unless you are playing in one of their competitions. Rangers will be out of administration before January.

GovanFR

Agree1 Disagree0

I find it strange that as soon as the points gap gets bigger (12pts at the present) all the financial masterminds that have popped up from the darkside are increasing the possible points deduction. Clutching at straws as usual !

Since the turn of the century, seven Scottish clubs have entered administration. With Rangers new owner Craig Whyte having admitted that he is working to avoid taking the Ibrox club down the same road, the spectre of insolvency still hangs over the national game.

The business implications of calling in the administrators are countless and can threaten the existence of a company, or provide it with a road to recovery. The sporting implications also have to be considered, and with clubs answerable to as many as four different governing bodies for different competitions, can be wide reaching.

We've put together a layman's guide to the rules and regulations regarding administration from the authorities concerned and answered some of the key questions often posed.

How many points will an SPL club be deducted?

The simple answer is 10 points. The only way a club can be deducted more than 10 points is if it goes into administration twice in the same season.

When will they lose the points?

If the "insolvency event" occurs during the season, the points are docked straight away. If it happens in the close season, the club starts the next season on minus 10 points.

Can a club appeal a points deduction?

Only if it can prove it did not go into administration.

What happens if administration lasts over more than one season?

If a club begins a season in administration, they will begin on minus 10 points.

What happens if a club goes into administration twice in one season?

Ten points are docked each time a club goes into administration, unless the events are linked. It is up to the SPL board to decide, this can be appealed.

Will a club still be able to sign players?

No. The only exception is if a team requires an emergency goalkeeper or if a club is looking to replace a player who has left the club. This means no permanent transfer and no loan signings. Clubs can still sell players. The SPL board has the final say.

How many points will a First, Second or Third Division (SFL) club lose?

The SFL do not have a set figure. The amount docked from clubs is decided by the board on a case-to-case basis. The SFL are also likely to impose a registration embargo. There are no fixed punishments and the SFL can set any conditions it chooses.

Can an SFL team be thrown out of the league mid-season?

No. Gretna and Livingston were relegated to the Third Division for being in administration but this can only happen in the close season.

What can the Scottish FA do to clubs?

The Scottish FA's Judicial Panel has the power to suspend or terminate the membership of any club which goes into administration. This has never happened.

Alternatively, the SFA can instead choose to “censure, fine, sanction and/or penalise the member in such manner as it considers appropriate”. This has nothing to do with points deductions. The SFA has never exercised this power.

Another option available to the SFA is to exclude a club from the Scottish Cup. This is a new provision which first appeared in the organisation’s articles of association in the 2011/12 season.

Can UEFA do anything to Scottish clubs in administration?

If a club is playing in Europe, it needs a UEFA club licence. If a club goes into administration but has already been given permission to play, it will not lose its licence for the season.

Would a club get a new licence when in administration?

It is unlikely. The club would have to prove it owes no money to other clubs, to its employees, and to HM Revenue and Customs.

Additionally, the club would also have to prove to the SFA it is likely to survive until the end of the season in which the licence applies to. Club licenses are valid for one season and are granted at the start of each season.

What happens when a club wants to exit administration?

A Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) is drafted for a club to try and reach an agreement with its creditors. Clubs must agree with those it owes money to over how much to pay back, and over what period of time.

Everyone who is owed money is then invited to vote on the proposal. A 'yes' vote is required from creditors up to 75% of the value of the overall debt. For example, if total debt is £10 million, the company must receive the backing from creditors to the tune of £7.5 million.

How long does it take before the club is out of administration?

If a CVA is approved, creditors have a period of 28 days to register their opposition to the decision.

If there is no opposition, the club exits administration and continues in its current form, paying back its creditors over the agreed period of time.

What if a club fails to reach an agreement?

A club may try again to reach a satisfactory agreement with its creditors. But, if is unable to agree a deal, the company will be dissolved and the club will cease to exist.

There is an alternative for football clubs. As was the case in England with Leeds United, the insolvent company can create a "phoenix" club and attempt to transfer every part of the club to a new business, leaving behind the debt.

Part two looks at what happens when a "phoenix" club is born

Tade from ICT as cover for Jelavic/Lafferty. He's a big strong lad with a good bit of pace, similar to Darcheville. Wouldn't cost much either. David Templeton from Hearts or Murphy from Motherwell to cover naismiths injury, obviously these guy are nowhere near naisy at the moment but would give us an option going forward with the wee man out injured. Think that's all we need as our squad is pretty decent at the minute. Plenty of cover, Big Bartley to come back as well as McKay and Bedoya. J1985

Agree0 Disagree1

Fran sandaza would be my choice, liked him while he was at Dundee utd and he always showed up well against us and Celtic. Big strong forward similar to jelavic and lafferty so could be a good cover player as the style the team play would not be altered to accommodate him. He has a eye for goal, can link up well and I think ppl forget this boy came through ranks at Valencia a very strong youth set up similar in style to barca. He's back in form at st Johnstone after a disappointing spell down south and I believe he can only improve when playing with better players.
Should be within our budget fee wise and I wouldn't envisage wages being a problem, so all in all a realistic target that I feel would strengthen our options up front, to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if mcinnes takes him to Bristol in January

I am going to repost what i put on here last week and ask a question

Would you rather give rangers fans all over the world (some of whom are wealthy and could afford to buy shares) the chance to buy a share of the club and save us from administration or would you rather see us being humiliated and dragged through the courts

Then surely 50,000 fans worldwide would be prepared to pay 500 quid for a share in the pitch and certain other rights = 25M
Mr whyte could step up and match what the fans have put in 25M + 25M
Fans own the pitch and some other rights (just like the CPO)
Mr Whyte owns the club and other assets
HMRC get paid even in the worst case scenario
Gers go marching on
I would be one of the first in the queue for a share

I would be interested to see any other suggestions

If you could buy multiple shares then the richer fans would obviously buy more. I'd jump at the chance personally. Season ticket discount included? Arguments sake 10% ? CheltBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

People have been knocking this idea but it could work... for talking sake 50,000 shares at £500 and i agree with cheltblue(sorry if the names wrong) in that you can buy as many shares as you like.. there will be problems like arranging it all and admin and lawyers fees to arrange this ! Good thing is theres rangers fans in all different areas... First thing that will be needed is a website to see what support this idea has.. prob best being simple and calling it RPO ha

Naisy's injury may have come at the wrong time for income purposes. He would have been worth up to £10m in January- now he's not saleable. I'm not saying we should have been selling but surely it's a big blow to the money men, just like going out of europe and the league cup. We could have raised up to £30m selling McGregor, Davis, Jelavic and Naismith in January. Not a good idea but maybe the right solution in the circumstances ?

You've got us beat already mate, we will keep those players atleast til the end of the season.
