I honestly have no idea how this will go. All depends on recovery after Thursday. That must have taken a lot out of the guy's. Also stick on for a red csrd imo. Hope Morelos redeems himself by scoring. This time we will have quality both on the park and on the bench. Quietly confident but if we can keep 11 on the park I think we have a real chance.

Whenever we have someone on loan from down south the assurances has been only if these guys are in the planning of enough games or pretty much regulars

Here's a thought, why is it our players on loan are coming off the bench for some of these teams down south!? Should it no work the same way for our guys to get some vital experience aswell.

Regarding one of our loan players, ovie ejaria. This young attacking midfielder, is now showing us all, how good and skilful a footballer, he is! Steven Gerrard did tell us this, when he signed ejaria from liverpool, on a 1 year loan deal! My hope would be to sign ejaria permanently, but i'd doubt very much, that liverpool would allow us to do this. My 2nd option would be for us to sign him, on a 12/ 18 month loan deal, after his original loan deal has ceased, after this season!
He most definitely is becoming a very important player for us! He's a very talented player.

During many an argument with my fellow Bear friends regarding this lad when they were saying he's too slow in play and slows the game down! My argument has been put tinned past games as this lad is quality! He has skill in abundance and also has fight to put a tackle in! One of my friends actually had the audacity to say he'd have Windass in the team before him but wtf he was put straight and now eating his words! As a fellow poster said we should try get another loan deal for him once this has finished as no way will Liverpool sell the lad to us with his recent performances!

Bears, I do believe this old firm is perfect timing for us! This is time to finally get back to being Glasgows number 1, we have strengthened significantly where as they haven't, fair enough, being at the duplo dome makes it that but harder but I'm honestly confident we'll do them over, the players must be a bit concerned also as they haven't done anything in the summer of note, they sold their star player, who was very public about his feelings, could that spread amongst the ranks? What do we feel bears?

The decisions made by SG, will decide this game. He has done pretty well so far, so he has my vote to seal a great victory for us on Sunday. No matter what the outcome is, we will win the league this year with SG in charge.

Aye but what if we het beat again then it's just the same old story, I am far more confident than I have been for a long time but they could quite easily stuff us again, don't get cocky because we could look like mugs again. I do think we have got the players now to do it, but we havnt beat them in 11 so can't just expect to go to the piggery and roll them over.

Surely Middleton has to come on at some point mabye not start but him Vs lustig he will terrify that defence he has to be brought on if we chasing the game but mabye not if Rangers are grinding out a result either way Middleton can cause problems for them and Kent is quick too we should set up as a tight solid unit hard to break down middle to back when we lose the ball hunt in packs make them rush play like we have been in Europe hard break then put away our chances of I was Gerrard I would stress we must not get bullied and take to them without us leaving gapes at the back

3-5-2 full backs defend when we lose possession with Morelos behind Lafferty and Jack / arfeild sit in front of the defence all day let ejaria roam the park.

I was agreeing with you right up until you said 3-5-2. So far every game we’ve played 4-3-3 we’ve looked difficult to break down, organised and controlled the game. We play once as a 3-5-2 against Motherwell, lose 3 goals, look all over the place at the back, Gouldson has his only bad game and for the last 20 minutes only had 15% possession. Why does everyone want this 3-5-2 formation? What we are doing and the way we are playing is working, why change?

The last 20 minutes of that game we were playing with 4 st the back, so having 15% possession had nothing to do with formation - we just didn't keep the ball well enough and were to deep inviting them on to us.

The goals we lost in that game too were from 2 set pieces and a slip, again not the formation. The 3 we did score though all came from assists from our wing backs.

Going forward if it's 3-5-2 I suspect Worral will play ahead of flannigan, and as he is on loan there will be a high chance we will be required to give him regular game time - how do you do that without dropping katic or goldsen who are both excellent?

Wing backs can get assists playing in 3-5-2 or 4-3-3, fact is we are better when we play 4-3-3, at no point were we the better team against Motherwell and we conceded 3 goals, doesn't matter if those were from set pieces or not, also we were under pressure for basically the whole second half with that set up which has nothing to do with set pieces. So no completely disagree with 3-5-2, 4-3-3 in attack 4-5-1 in defence.

Well if you play 4-3-3 you don't have wing backs, and of course it matters goals were conceded from set pieces - how could it possibly not matter, it's the whole reason we dropped points - had we defended those set pieces better we win the game and you would be applauding 3-5-2. The majority of the second half we played with 4 at the back, not 3 as Barisic went off so being under pressure for basically the whole second half was not the formation.

Simply we didn't play well enough - got physically bullied, couldn't keep possession and sat to deep.

We will play 4-3-3 probably in Europe with morelos up top, and sometimes domestically 4-4-2 with laff and morelos or 3-5-2 when we want to take the game to people.

I see wee Chesney is in the papers today saying that all the pressure is on Rangers for this match. I disagree. I think the pressure is all on Celtic. Things definitely aren't rosey over there, players wanting away, diagreements behind the scenes etc. Whereas I think SG can actually lose this game and still come out looking ok. After the performances last season an odd goal loss tomorrow but with a competative performance will still show progress. That being said I hope we pump them.

If Coulibaly is fit I think we need to fit him in to the team some how. Not sure who would be dropped for him though. Arfield, Jack and Ejaria all been excellent in midfield, who would be the one at risk. Morelos will play and I think will be candeias and kent or lafferty filling the wide positions. That leaves either flanagan or barisic on the bench as well with Tav right back. Good headache to have, who would you leave out from the start?

flanagan, he isn't natural left so barisic will have that roll. Tav won't get dropped to allow flanagan in and to play him one up means we would need to drop either jack or coulibaly if he is fit.

I see since David Bates horror debut for Hamburg he has started two league games after his debut and kept a clean sheet in both. Only game he hasn't played in was the cup and they conceded 3 goals (but scoring 5).

Good luck to him, hope he is a success, always like to see ex players do well, especially young Scottish ones. Scottish CB's are woeful of recent also, need some up and coming for the national side, more bears the better!

Actually glad that the window is over and we can focus on the matches.

Outstanding effort on Thursday and I wonder how much I had took out of them, hopefully Coulibaly and Barasic to come back in, only one half each from Morelos and Lafferty and our defenders look fit as fleas so I can’t see many more changes. Feel it’s going to be a franetic game and one that could go either way.

I don’t know about you lot but I don’t feel the nerves as much building up to it, I’m sure I will tomorrow but this seems like a free hit to me. There’s no way we will capitulate like previous games when the going gets tough and if we are to lose our unbeaten record I know we’ll go down fighting.

That said, this Celtic team looks a shadow of their “invicibles” and I’m hopeful we will win if we keep even 10 men on the pitch!

Wee bit off piste here folks, but I've been reading Aberdeen have rejected a bid of 7m for McKenna. Now whether he's worth that is another debate, I'm just glad that Scottish teams are now starting to value their players the way the English leagues do, and standing firm as well it would seem.
