Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

20 Aug 2016 22:24:23
Not a rumour, just a question but could the Lescott deal be back on if his family change there mind and decide to move north, or if he's failed his medical can he not train with us until he gets fit then redo another medical, want this player at our club badly.

20 Aug 2016 23:27:09
His knees are gone. can't be fixed, deal is dead.

I agree he would've been a superb signing but no use if he's out injured for half the season.

21 Aug 2016 00:34:49
He never failed a medical.

21 Aug 2016 09:22:08
He did fail the medical. He took the medical and it threw up a issue with his knee. Lescott has played with a troubled knee for years at various clubs that could afford to take that risk. We can't. Aston Villa are saying there is no problem because they are trying to offload him. That is not information from my 'sources' or 'contacts', it's just the facts.

21 Aug 2016 11:52:03
He never sat a medical.

21 Aug 2016 12:41:54
He sat the medical on thursday night.

20 Aug 2016 21:20:47
Has there been any more rumours about loan signings. We know the hat likes to use them and he has a lot of contacts, but with the squad we have, do we need more? Albeit loan players!

20 Aug 2016 23:34:07
Maybe come January you'd imagine. Depending on injuries.

Would love to see us get another CB in on loan but it's not going to happen.

Don't know if we're missing a trick not using the loan market this window. It would have been great to see us get a young defensive prospect from Liverpool, Spurs or Arsenal.

Suppose Senderos will be the final singing of the season. If Garner can finish the balls Tavernier swung in today we'll be in a good position. Don't know if that defence is enough to do until January but it's going to have to.

21 Aug 2016 08:33:30
Loans will come EPL youngsters have options and nothing definite going to come out till poss last day but imo think we'll see 2 arrive think Winks will be one.

21 Aug 2016 10:33:37
First Tav needs to learnhow to swing in a ball with the correct weight and pace. Far too many times he over hits it with too much pace IMO. But you're half right because there was no one in the box to finish them anyway.

20 Aug 2016 20:48:28
What's the 11 people would like to see?
Mines is :
Fod

Tav
Crooks
Senderos (when he signs)

Senderos (if he signs)
Wallace

Rossiter (or Barton)
Holt (or windlass)
Kranjcar

20 Aug 2016 21:40:42
Apparently Frank Mcfarland was at Ibrox today with a fella who looked like a mountain beside him anyone have any idea who he is?

20 Aug 2016 21:54:31
Fods;

Tav, Senderos, Wilson, Wallace;

Rossiter, Barton;

Windass/ Kranjcar;

Waghorn, Garner, Forrester.

20 Aug 2016 21:58:50
Surely you would need to see Crooks play for us before you have him as a definite starter.

20 Aug 2016 22:19:00
Would take Windass, Kranjcar and Dodoo out. Bring in Holt, Barton and McKay. IMO we have really missed Holt in the past 3 league games, we really miss his pace and work rate and his range of passing. Been really disappointed with Halliday so far, seems to lack pace and doesn't stick with his man often enough. Barton has still to get fully fit but is getting there, as for Kranjcar he is nowhere near fit, think Warbs will use him as an impact just like today I with his two assists but I wouldn't have him starting until he is fully fit.

20 Aug 2016 22:35:55
Team 1

Foderingham

Tavernier
Wilson
Senderos
Wallace

Rossiter
Barton
Forrester

Waghorn
Garner
Mckay

Team 2

Gilks

Hodson
Hill
Keirnan
Halliday

Crooks
Windass
Holt

Kranjcar
Miller
Dodoo

Kranjcar and Halliday out of position but the options are there for all to see and couldn't think of a place for MOH. This is going to be a memorable season. Remember Bears it's the third game, we've got seven points and haven't hit anywhere near full throttle. Bring on any mob in this league. Over 90 minutes we'll take anyone.

Going for 55. !

20 Aug 2016 22:42:09
Barton? one of the best players on the pitch today.

20 Aug 2016 23:11:19
Biffo . Assuming he's a decent player his physical presence is the main reason I want him at CH. 6'4 is ideal.

20 Aug 2016 23:21:12
no mate slows play down way too much Rossiter by far the best and wes produced 2 great saves.

21 Aug 2016 01:40:19
Good old Biffo as consistent as ever having a go at Crooks again - why shouldn't he be in the team? What's your reason for constantly knocking him? And don't drag out the 1980 Ian Rush argument again - Get a grip - Crooks is a ger and his presence will be welcomed by the team - I'm sure many other supporters will be keen to see him in the team -.

21 Aug 2016 01:44:14
My Starting Eleven (Home games)

Wes

Tav
Crooks
Wilson
Wallace

Rossiter
Barton
Windass

Mckay
Garner
Waghorn.

21 Aug 2016 07:05:43
seen frank mcparland before the game and he was with a woman, Danny Wilson was the best player on the park today and people still want to drop him.

21 Aug 2016 10:08:19
Afcw191

Where have I had a go at Crooks? All I said is that you need to see how he plays before putting him consistently in the team. To me that's just logical and not having a go. Maybe you should actually try to understand what's actually been said instead of making up things. Your seeing something that isn't there.

21 Aug 2016 11:07:39
You have had, a go at the player since we signed him on a pre contract - I saw Crooks play last season so I know what kind of player he is and now with better players and top coaches around him he can only improve. - You are saying that why should he go straight into the first team - do you have the same train of thought then with all our new signings - dodoo? Garner? Rossiter? And it seems it's not just me who wants, Crooks in our team - If we can't have a positive outlook on one of our own then we have, a problem - If he fails at the gers then I will be the firstly say I was wrong about him - but I'm positive that won't be the case -and what am I making up? I have only ever said positive things, about Crooks -.

20 Aug 2016 21:29:26
For me crooks and windass.

21 Aug 2016 10:39:30
Wait. What? Barton was the best the player on the park?
No room for MOH but Crooks Windass Milker stroll into someone's starting XI?

I give up.

20 Aug 2016 20:42:16
Warburton says we still have a few options at the back so may not be Senderos.

20 Aug 2016 20:56:34
Wish he would hurry up them.

20 Aug 2016 22:01:04
Fingers crossed.

20 Aug 2016 22:19:07
Hopefully not.

20 Aug 2016 23:48:42
I know big wes has his critics amongst us lads but that save at 1-0 was top class. that goes in and its game over.

21 Aug 2016 07:56:20
Game over 2-0 down at home to Motherwell with over 30 mins left! Slightly pessimistic to say the least!

20 Aug 2016 22:15:40
Senderos may aswell pack up and go home. If we have other options that must mean we are no closer to signing someone. Defence needs sorted ASAP.

20 Aug 2016 20:12:25
STILL TOP------LOL.

20 Aug 2016 21:38:53
The LOL is more of relief as utter garbage on show. Playing Hamilton, Dundee&Motherwell was as good as you could get on a return to the Top Tier. Time for a reality check. Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts, St Johnstone, Ross County will run inside the defence easily and expose the glaring deficiencies on show.

20 Aug 2016 23:50:23
Can only play what's put in front of you. Thanks for your concern though. Nice to know you care.

21 Aug 2016 08:00:40
Loki - lay off the meth mate! Ross County? Those world beaters that got smashed off the mighty Dundee! St Johnstone? Unless Ricky Foster has turned into Neymar overnight they remain a pub team! etc etc We've played in 1st gear all season so far and still aren't losing to these mugs!

20 Aug 2016 20:00:37
Bears time to get a grip. People complaining about "tippy tappy" football should think back to the last couple of years of rubbish we've been watching. Just so that you know guys it's about ball retention. I'll admit there's not enough penetrative at the moment and we could do with rossiter barton and nico maybe having a shot front the 18 yard box but please let's not go back to the dark ages of kick and rush ally or the long ball merchants.

20 Aug 2016 21:16:59
That's the point I was making Blueshaun, I understand the basics of ball retention. If we have it use canny score!
However to sit and watch this week after week without a plan b or goal scoring chances being created is boring.
I fully trust the magic hat and the team to get it right eventually but I fear we may draw too many games up to Christmas therefore handing the title to the great unwashed.
Europe will do me this year and look to a serious push for the title next season.

20 Aug 2016 21:35:13
I am not complaining about our style of play but it's got to have an end product and we don't have that just now, I also think we can't play rossiter, Barton and Halliday in the same team as they are too similiar and slow our play Down but hopefully once holt and windass are fit they will make a big difference in making penetrating runs beyond the oppositions defence. One final plea please Can McKay take on a defender and not stop and pass back it does my head in .

20 Aug 2016 22:02:57
Don't think anyone wants a return to long ball game- just bit more variation, injection of pace, purpose and cutting edge.

20 Aug 2016 22:57:56
Just joined and this is my first post/ reply

I agree Blueshaun but we are the most fickle fans in Scotland.

We beat the Thims and suddenly we are going for 55

This is a work in progress and there will be more games like today

Once the team gels and we get the right combination of "first 11". we will be hard to beat.

In Warburton we trust.

20 Aug 2016 23:26:09
So be honest, you really can't beat some good penetration πŸ˜‹.

20 Aug 2016 19:56:54
Thought rangers were really slow today not enough high pressing very sloppy passes and easily bullied at the back in that I mean goalkeeper and the back four including Wallace who escapes a lot of criticism and for ohalloran don't see anything can't score or pass.

20 Aug 2016 20:29:47
rab2139

Totally agree about MOH would be better signing Usain Bolt as he can run quicker and his passing and shooting can't be any worse than O'Halloran.

20 Aug 2016 20:50:06
Dont no why moh doesn't just slip in miller for number 3 instead of leaving us needing cpr in the final seconds.

20 Aug 2016 21:20:46
Completely agree Bluedie. It would have been a simple tap in and a great run and assist from him. Instead it lead to another nervy minute of football where we could conceivably lost 2 points.

20 Aug 2016 22:31:20
Being saying it for over a year Wallace is a bad defender and he keeps proving me right but because he stayed for the fight some fans think he walks on water.

20 Aug 2016 23:00:27
Should try MOH @ CF. I think he'd deliver. He's a natural striker not a right winger.

21 Aug 2016 07:06:35
ohalloran is just lacking confidence.

20 Aug 2016 19:32:15
Not gossip, however, would appreciate any information on whether or not rangers are going to be in fifa 17!

20 Aug 2016 19:45:16
Yeah there in it mate check it out online.

20 Aug 2016 19:48:38
course they will bud, SPL are always in it, the stats for our teams will be honking tho, 75 tops.

20 Aug 2016 20:08:57
Ratings were leaked our best is Barton And Nico.

21 Aug 2016 07:07:11
the ratings in the beta are not the final ratings BTW so expect kranjcars to drop.

20 Aug 2016 19:16:21
Fair play to Kenny today. Looking forward to seeing Garner this Friday. When Windass is back I think he will play behind Garner, then Senderos and wilson at the back. Will seem like a new team sounds good to me.

20 Aug 2016 19:41:59
Great finish and ran all day. However what is the point of MOH? He does nothing when he comes on? Woeful attempt at a shot that fortunately fell for Miller then an absolutely shocking miss. He has plenty of pace but no end product.

20 Aug 2016 20:44:00
Think MOH needs a run of games to get his confidence up, the 3 subs did change the game to be fair.

20 Aug 2016 22:00:29
Recbob

Maybe however I felt the other 2 subs contributed much more than O'Halloran.

20 Aug 2016 18:41:38
Thought today the problem was the midfield. Barton, Halliday and Rossitier i think are too alike. There was no1 running through the lines as it's not their natural game. I think Windass gives us that option and when Nico came on his first thought was to pass forward. All in all i think Warburton is still trying to get the right balance in midfield, not the best performance but we kept going and got a huge 3 points!

20 Aug 2016 18:51:08
Yeah we lacked creativity no real service everything was leaked out wide never any aggression through the middle.

20 Aug 2016 18:54:37
Mckay had a shocker today - I'm not his greatest fan but he could have been taken off after 20 mins - no confidence to go by or take on his man - we looked off the pace in the first half - I've said before Rossiter is a joy to watch - always looking for the ball and rarely misses a pass - At least in the second half we kept pushing and trying and we got the 3 points in the end - Ref was shocking and gave us nothing. - Parading Joe Garner at half time definitely lifted the place - great atmosphere today - Everyone tried their best, yes even wee Barry who just had an off day -.

20 Aug 2016 19:12:59
Ive came on this site a few times saying barton could be a standout for yourselves, but from what i can gather the only thing he has done is bump his gums about us, a few of ma mates said that he dosent even look interested and they are ticket holders, not match fit maybe?

20 Aug 2016 19:25:34
We have better players than Barton but we need his experience and desire. Been solid so far and will get better!

20 Aug 2016 19:49:54
who do you rate better than barton infinity?, this guy was a standout in a league better than ours last yr?

20 Aug 2016 20:04:56
I recon Windass should play alongside Rossiter and Barton in the mid with licence to run with the ball. Think this will open spaces that aren't being made at the moment as we don't really have anyone in the middle of the park who will commit a couple of players.

20 Aug 2016 20:36:57
Thought we were very naive today. Wee McDonald, Lasley and McManus used every old trick in the book to gain fouls and time waste when they were 1-0 up McKay always slows game down and lacks confidence to attack and run at defenders.
When we attack teams aggressively and get defenders turning, we put a bit of fear into teams.
Watched Rossiter closely a few times now and although he fights for every ball, he is prone to some slack passing and first touch sometimes let's him down - like today it was his poor first touch that left him stretching and losing possession that led to their goal.
We definitely lacked creativity and goal threat until Krankjar and Dodoo came on - Does Warbs not see this?
I would start both in place of Haliday and McKay and If we add add Garner and Senderos, we could be a decent team.

20 Aug 2016 20:53:20
Got to agree with windass instead of halliday. it wid make some difference. halliday and barton look to laboured at times for my liking.

20 Aug 2016 22:53:04
i reckon rossiter holt And windass.

20 Aug 2016 23:28:18
Halliday should not be in the starting eleven. He has been poor in all three SPL Games and is just not a defensive midfield player. I would much rather see Holt in there alongside Rossiter and Barton, or, alternatively, let's see how Crooks would slot in to that side. As for the attacking midfield I would look to leave McKay on the bench places are going to be at a premium and he has just not been good enough in the SPL.

20 Aug 2016 23:31:11
Good shout mushy10 but can't see the gaffer leaving out barton. i lost count how many times barton was struggling to keep up with the Well players. not sure if he's fit or not.

20 Aug 2016 19:56:23
Rossiter Kranjcar both better.

20 Aug 2016 18:18:28
Thought Kranjcar looked better today, what a fantastic pass.

20 Aug 2016 22:24:07
Was very good when he came on but I can't see him starting any soon. Doesn't really look fit and also very slow for the way Warburton likes to play but he can certainly produce chances out of nothing, just like he did today. IMO he's a luxury player and will mostly be used as an impact sub this season.

20 Aug 2016 23:02:24
When Nico's match fit he'll be a stand out. The guy oozes class. just not 100% match fit.

20 Aug 2016 18:11:17
let's all take a moment to celebrate a hard fought win! best ibrox has been I ages!

20 Aug 2016 18:04:47
Barton needs to step up or he will get dropped. Not doing enough for me. Rossiter, holt when fit definitely starts for me . Good 3pts though. Decent start to the season.

20 Aug 2016 18:01:52
Why is warburton not playing hill dodoo? ? Has to be better.

20 Aug 2016 17:59:44
Garner had no 32Red advertisement on his tracksuit top. Are we in dispute or was it an oversight?

20 Aug 2016 17:37:23
I know we have been bad and no shape or fight and I know we have a few players out but the worry for me is no defence or plan b.

20 Aug 2016 18:08:04
danny Wilson stand out today won every header played well. tavernier man down, wallace done nothing, kiernan shocking.

20 Aug 2016 18:38:36
Rob Kiernan was shocking again.

20 Aug 2016 18:58:09
Tavernier man down Cee? Not in the game I was watching. Sorry to disagree with you there mate but I thought he was possibly worthy of mom.

20 Aug 2016 19:02:08
Tavernier had a good game probably at fault for their goal but other than that he had a good game.

20 Aug 2016 19:15:27
Agree completely with no plan B. More crosses need to be put in, especially since we've just bought a striker who is brilliant in the air and will score his fair share of headers with the right service. Also ( not a dig at MW) but I've noticed a lot this season that MW will clearly say before the games who will come on and for how long, usually the last half hour. Can't help but think this must help out opposition managers as they know what their game plan has to be for the last half hour depending on what players we bring on.

20 Aug 2016 19:24:40
Barton was at fault for goal with sloppy pass. mckay didn't have his best game but had a couple of superb defence splitting passes. actually thot tav was our main danger. does any1 else think we don't get enuf men in the box when our wingers are going down the line hence the reason mckay cuts back alot. i'd also like to see windass in ther insted of barton or holt.

20 Aug 2016 18:10:13
U can't say there's no fight. They fought right to the end to get the winner today. Still think we're a bit away from challenging that lot though.

20 Aug 2016 18:58:13
Kiernan is not a rangers player but warburton is more likely to drop wilson than kiernan even though wilson is the better defender.

20 Aug 2016 17:07:33
Thank goodness for Kenny Miller! Good to get three points and glad to see that Garner was announced as well.

20 Aug 2016 17:41:41
Good win in the end. Going to be difficult with teams parking the bus. We didn't give up though and the right team won. Well done to Kenny. He never gives up and glad to see him stick the winner away after the criticism he's had lately. Next stop Kilmarnock and another 3 points.

20 Aug 2016 18:08:19
kenny Miller is a man down through the middle.

20 Aug 2016 18:16:54
Was seriously thinking we had dropped two points today. Well done Miller though, place was bouncing after that went in.
Thought the ref had a shocker, a always hate that Madden.
Still waiting on this team to get into gear this season, we need to blow some team away to get the fear factor back. The quicker Senderos gets in the better, Wilson and Kiernan are getting worse by the game. Those two simply can't play together and I think the manager is the only one at Ibrox that can't see that. It's worrying.

20 Aug 2016 23:33:54
Agree with the ref comment recob. the push on halliday was so blatant and wee mcdonald must have gave away abt 15 fouls without getting booked.

20 Aug 2016 16:55:13
Will all the Kenny Miller haters please stand up.

20 Aug 2016 17:07:44
Agreed that's 2 winners now.

20 Aug 2016 18:00:51
James2016 I stood up pal and cheered but we can all see that it is nonsense to think that we have to accept Miller as our starting forward for the last couple of games when we have Dodoo waiting to impress.

20 Aug 2016 18:08:58
take it you didn't watch the game, too busy trying to play as a midfielder rather than a striker.

20 Aug 2016 18:17:45
Said the same last time, we'd be bottom of the league without him. Hopefully Garner can realese some of the pressure now.

20 Aug 2016 18:30:02
I'll be honest guys, I wasn't at the game. The point I am making is there seems to be a lot of negativity about Miller week in and week out.

Yes I am very keen to see dodoo get a run in the team and even keener to see garner as our main striker but MW sees everyone every day I training and Kenny must be doing it in training on a daily basis.

Over his three periods at rangers the guy has given 100% in every game he has played. Never stops running and always chips in with a goal.

Instead of slating the guy when we see his name we should cheer him and give him the respect he deserves.

20 Aug 2016 17:04:11
Well said that man. Kenny showed calmness personified to slot away the winner. No matter what they say about him he always pops up when you need him.

20 Aug 2016 16:54:40
All we need now is 9 more Rositters in the side and we'll have a team with a real bit of grit! In fairness, Motherwell just sat back and dug in after they got the goal. That boy chases everything, a real hard worker. Even Kranky made a difference today. I think it's going to be a long season if all teams want to do is sit in and defend with 11 players in the box.

20 Aug 2016 17:12:55
Ohalloran is poison. Barton better get finger out as he's dun nowt but spout aff. windass hopefully b a plus when bk fit and can play in a front 3.garner bang them in panic over lol

20 Aug 2016 18:10:17
poison? why don't you try supporting the guy who hasn't had a great start and support him, brought something new to the game which he had lacked, a proper winger.

20 Aug 2016 19:28:43
MOH wasnt great when he came on but to say he's poison is below the belt.

20 Aug 2016 20:02:42
Poison prob harsh but dun nothing in months Soz guys.

20 Aug 2016 16:52:58
good 3 points----come on in joe----well done kenny.

20 Aug 2016 16:50:14
I started writing, well that was a poor day at the office in the hope I would be proved wrong.

Get in there ya wee beauty.

20 Aug 2016 16:03:50
Same old same old.
All the possession, tippy tappy not going anywhere boring to watch, cross balls going in rarely and when they do its to a lone attacker surrounded by 4 defenders. First decent attack and the opposition score, the whole defence is murder and not one them can track a runner or tackle and this has been glaringly obvious for months. Can't believe we are relying on Miller to score goals. Rossitter will be off at the end of the season at this rate, only decent player we have.

20 Aug 2016 16:51:01
millers just scored the winner.

20 Aug 2016 16:58:43
Agreed, we need to move the ball faster in the final third and bodies in the box are sadly lacking.

20 Aug 2016 16:58:45
Been saying this for months it's boring to watch today is the first game I've missed in a long time but wasn't surprised when we went behind we always have all the possession but no end product tippy tappy football no plan b.

20 Aug 2016 17:03:42
Brummie Bear that's enough of yer nonsense mate, i wasnt totally happy with the we played today either, but i'm no gony come on here slatin the players everytime i'm no happy about a performance, let Mark Warburton moan at the players if he needs to, remember its a whole new squad we've assembled, give it a good few games before the nice performances start to happen, we got the 3pts and that's most important anyway, on to the next game Bears,

20 Aug 2016 17:07:06
Brummie, tippy tappy is how we play and when its hot, its scortching. Understand how frustrating it can be to watch but that was a good game my friend.

20 Aug 2016 17:47:20
People need to understand we don't have a Gazza or a Laudrup. What we do have is a team full of good pros who are prepared to lay it on the line in every game. If you have that then you have a chance of winning things. Liked the way we dug in and never gave up. Sublime turn by Niko at the winner. Sometimes it just takes a wee bit of magic but we got there in the end. Well done guys!

20 Aug 2016 17:56:46
Boys I see what your saying but I disagree, the tippy tappy for 90 minutes is not good to watch and when was it scorching hot, I nearly spat out my can of Bud when I read that. I can come on here and have a moan or give praise as it is a fan site full of opinions. It might be a squad with a few new players but that has been the defence long before the start of this season and it has been gash for months. Wilson strolls through the game smoking a cigar, Keirnan has no positional sense and both bottle a tackle on many an occasion. Full backs are magic going forward but defensively it's scary to watch sometimes. There is plenty more to come from this squad especially when the new signings get fit and gel and I'm looking forward to watch Garner play. Miller done well to score the winner but I stand by what I said earlier he is only good for the last 20/ 30 minutes and never a starter although he is a credit to himself to be playing at his age and scoring winning goals in games.

20 Aug 2016 18:23:13
Thought Tav defended well today and wilson was solid, even got forward a couple of times. Rossiter strolled it again and Miller, C'mon man, missed a couple of chances he should have put away but the guy ran his heart out for the whole 90 and deserved his goal.

20 Aug 2016 18:24:08
and who drinks Bud?

20 Aug 2016 21:26:42
Me how? πŸ˜€.

20 Aug 2016 15:16:09
At the game today and no Puma advertising in the stadium anymore.

20 Aug 2016 17:24:53
90 minutes plus in every game mate----.

RANGERS: Foderingham; Tavernier, Kiernan, Wilson, Wallace; Rossiter, Barton, Halliday; Forrester, Miller, McKay.

20 Aug 2016 14:24:49
Would have like dodoo instead of miller.

20 Aug 2016 14:42:37
Can't understand all the negatives on this site when people see millers name on the team sheet. His experience will be invaluable to us this season. Dodoo and the others will learn a bundle from him.

20 Aug 2016 14:54:58
2-1.Rangers.

20 Aug 2016 15:56:12
I'd bite yer hand off for that result right now. McKay and Joey are empty shirts. I could go on but so much has been made of these two in particular that they should be turning it on far more regularly.

20 Aug 2016 16:14:05
It's becoming more obvious with every game that major struggle lies ahead.

Our tactics are one dimensional.

20 Aug 2016 17:02:36
Spot on, Bully 1.Tell us the score now for next Friday. Get in!

20 Aug 2016 14:26:53
Can't believe going with Miller over dodoo.

20 Aug 2016 15:39:11
Another painful afternoon at home!

Garner womt play today v Motherwell, deal didn't go through in time.

20 Aug 2016 12:57:13
Honestly, enough aboot lescott, who cares, the boss is a canny articulate guy and keeping all options open ( return flight for senderos) mmmm have you all forgot about that?

We're in good shape, the vans full and am on Ma way to heaven ( ibrox) mon the gers.

Least the manks have still got the ugliest guy on the planet, lol, only his dear mammy can love him 4 sure.

20 Aug 2016 14:18:54
Look, the manager is not fautless and is doing exactly what he has always said he wouldn't- panic buy.

You seem to be ignoring that MW wanted lescott- so much so that he dropped everything to fly down and try to convince him. He definitely did not fail a medical, because he never started one.

Now we are reportedly giving a complete dud a two year deal. This isn't part of some grand strategic plan. Do you not remember MW saying that our business would be done early with pre planned targets? Do you not remember him rubbishing links with senderos a month ago?

What's changed? We have got desperate.

20 Aug 2016 13:53:00
the guy who broke the news on here about lescott before the media said something about a deal for jack hobbs being put on hold until we see what happened with lescott. so hopefully we could him.

20 Aug 2016 10:13:04
Have the club announced the garner signing yet?

20 Aug 2016 11:05:05
Nope, it's doubtful the contracts signed yet! Everything is agreed apparently but nothing is official until announced by the club!

20 Aug 2016 11:29:03
Very strange sky said deal signed, but no official confirmation.

Pne said days ago it was done at their end, so what's the hold up?

20 Aug 2016 12:11:59
Look at Jim Whites latest tweet the deal is done.

20 Aug 2016 13:43:37
Deals done Preston North end wished all the best. Plus there's a pic of him outside ibrox today in gers tracksuit.

20 Aug 2016 14:19:50
It's not done until it's signed and sealed. Remember jardel?

20 Aug 2016 11:38:48
He's changed his agent seemingly for some reason that's what's supposedly holding it up I think,

20 Aug 2016 11:52:27
He had his medical last night and is officially signing on Monday, think it's still to do with his agent change and maybe Rangers just wanted to have him sign on Monday so he gets the limelight on the day.

20 Aug 2016 10:11:50
I'm glad Senderos will be joining over JL. As I've always said a better footballer, who's proven he can perform at a high level and at 31 has a lot left in him for a CB! He'll be a player for us. Wait and see!

20 Aug 2016 11:37:58
Senderos is the wrong move and giving him a 2 year deal (as reported) is a mistake fuelled by desperation.

He had one good season at arsenal, and has been a flop ever since. Failed at Milan, failed back at arsenal, failed at Fulham, Failed at villa (as well as fitness issues), and then failed again at grasshopper along with fitness problems again. His reputation earned him a lot of Switzerland caps- but in Switzerland he is viewed as a player that failed to live up to his early promise. They think he is done and should retire.

Some have hailed FMP but if this is the best option he can find out of all the players in world football then something is seriously wrong.

20 Aug 2016 12:04:24
Again with the total optimism nice guy haha. Any level he has played at has been more than a cut above the spl other than in Switzerland. I think he could do a job for us, looks like we could rotate the pairings of Senderos Wilson, then Kiernan Hill.

Haven't had my say on lescott yet but personally I am ex static he isn't coming, the guy may have had more potential and had a better peak, but his attitude and professionalism in recent years has been shocking and once that goes in a player, you have a bad apple on your hands.

Out of the 2 it was always Senderos for me.

20 Aug 2016 13:18:48
Mr nice your like santa claus on prozac after he's got his hole πŸ˜‚.

20 Aug 2016 13:51:39
Good shout just 2 see don't think we have to many options in transfer market think rotating 4 centre backs could work out get sendeross short term deal 2 year as reported see how it goes crooks to come back in next few weeks . winning balls in air at back is our problem ok on deck we will find out best blend with these 5 in coming months.

20 Aug 2016 14:29:31
So it's optimistic/ positive/ whatever to sign someone who is a flop, and has had fitness problems? No, that's idiotic.

Bluedie if that's best response you can manage I pity you. I really do.

Ask any villa, Fulham, Milan, arsenal, grasshopper or Switzerland fan. See what they think of him.

Better off with our current options and hopefully get someone better in January - when DK has promised money will be available (if he ever keeps his word)

If senderos is so good why was manager flying around the country desperately trying to sign someone else?

Why as a club do we limit ourselves to player's who play or have played in England? A market we can't afford.

20 Aug 2016 23:37:29
No bother mate il ask my cousin i'm sure he's got a season ticket for Grasshopper. πŸ˜‚ your the 1 that needs pity mate with a comment like that.

20 Aug 2016 12:01:27
Stop being so negative it's better than nothing we r trying to bring in the right players we need to build this club back up and we r going the right way about it.

20 Aug 2016 08:56:22
So after hearing the news yesterday that lescott had bailed i must admit i felt quite happy about it, after reading that senderos had trained lile a monster all week it kinda shows who's desire is in the right place, we need a defender to defend smash anything out the way to clear the ball i'd happily have senderos all day long, had an interesting chat with family at a funeral yesterday ones a hibs fan and the other a celtic fan and both think there going to walk the league, celtic should tbh with the size and players they have brung in but I've a sneaky feeling we might cause a few upsets especially if we can get our defense sorted, i'd also like to welcome garner to the greatest club in the world .

20 Aug 2016 04:42:37
Let's move on from lescott lads. Failed medical, couldn't agree terms, whatever it was let's move on to the next one. He'll never wear the blue jersey or get to play at ibrox. I suspect it's all down to money so let him go and rob another club for a wage.

20 Aug 2016 05:54:39
Sounds like his club renaged on an agreement about the last year of his contract.

20 Aug 2016 08:46:34
they seen problems with his knee and changed the terms he rejected.

20 Aug 2016 09:26:12
Let's move on from Lescott dead news.

20 Aug 2016 09:28:57
Times running out to get a decent centre back in, it's now looking like being senderos is the only option left at this point, must admit he doesn't fill me with much confidence as he doesn't seem to have lasted long with many clubs recently but hopefully he can do a turn for us if he does manage to get a contract, and just for the record I think we have dodged a bullet missing out on that big lump lesscott I've seen him on tv a few times last season and he made some horrific blunders and was a mile to slow.

21 Aug 2016 07:41:34
It's an embarrassment. Club should release a statement on why the move broke down and then we can move on. Also we need to hold back on our PR firm making releases to the press too early and should wait until the ink is dry on the contract.

19 Aug 2016 23:53:54
Does anyone know why Hardie was playing for Rangers youth in the Challenge cup on wed night? I thought he was on loan at St Mirren until Jan '17.

20 Aug 2016 07:24:51
He is on loan at St Mirren, I think it was part of the deal that he could play cup games for the U20s. Same applies to Jordan Thompson.

20 Aug 2016 07:44:37
Part of his loan agreement was that he could play in the Challenge Cup-same for Jordan Thompson who was also playing.

20 Aug 2016 13:04:48
Cheers. that's a real strange agreement. I'm surprised it was allowed. What would have happened if the young guns got drawn against St Mirren?
