Warbs doesn't even trust his own signings. spend Hof a mil in O'halloran and doesn't play him. signs crooks and sends him out on loan. and Kiernan and Wilson are a shambles and he still won't give senderos a game. and dodoo doesn't get games either am just getting frustrated with warbs now a really am.

20 Jan 2017 23:28:44
Senderos was on five minutes against liepzig and messed up three simple passes!

Crooks needs to get games under his belt and obviously isn't performing in training.

O'halloran and Dodoo I don't understand? They have showed glimpses of their abilities and I would like to see them given more game time as well.

21 Jan 2017 04:10:27
Senderos didn't mess up. Wilson and Kiernan are the liabilitys and are the full backs. senderos needs games warbs signed him so play him.

21 Jan 2017 12:32:34
Don't quite understand why the guy we got in on loan from Bournemouth isn't in the team ahead of either Holt or Halliday!

Why bother signing him if he isn't as good as this pair!

22 Jan 2017 07:42:10
The only ability dodoo has shown is the ability to do nothing except run away from tackles.

20 Jan 2017 21:30:18
Sorry guys I hit send too early. I was saying we should donate our merchandise money into a fund to give to rangers to improve the squad. Thus giving mark warburton money without giving any to ashley. What do you think beard?

21 Jan 2017 02:21:52
I've posted on here before, if we have a worldwide fan base of say 200,000, if each fan gave £5 a week for the club, that would raise 52 million per season. Help buy better players and clear the debt.

21 Jan 2017 08:30:30
Brilliant idea if it worked. Don't think it is leagal though unless the the 200,000 people were shareholders and sat on the board. Board members Vito on contributions from other shareholders because the bigger their contribution the lower their stock becomes.

If one man invested £52m in a club he would almost certainly become a director in most instances and have a major influence on every other decision that happened from player signings to naming rights and sponsorships. DK tried to have the ownership diluted again by making shares available to buy so he could raise money but the idea lost vote failed by 1%. So need to wait until next years AGM unless suitable trustworthy investors are found.

21 Jan 2017 22:57:01
We all know why the Vote failed so we have another 12 months before anything can change however if we were to receive more income from merchandise sales that would be a significant benefit until the share structure can be altered.

As I have said before, it is my understanding that Sports Direct has no control over non UK Merchandise Sales and with the Worldwide Web why don't we sell our merchandise with our new strip manufacturers and sponsors through a 'web friendly Retailer' based outside of the UK, with the majority of the funds generated going to the club!

20 Jan 2017 16:35:03
If rangers do get a big offer for Barrie McKay I would sell Asap, I believe if they money was invested back into the team warburton could get a couple of very good players, I would buy a striker centre half and a holding midfielder, even at 2ml each we could get 3 really good players, if we do our homework and get the right players, but it is pot luck in the market sometimes.

20 Jan 2017 16:48:42
Sounds good in theory but there is no guarantee that he would get the funds!

20 Jan 2017 17:36:25
How on earth are you going to make three £2m signings in a 2 week period Delboy1979? Rangers won't have scouted any players in these price ranges. What your suggesting is panic buy and blow every penny you have made before it has even made it's way through the coffers. The Rangers board would need to open descussions with clubs right now to get deals over the line in the current window. The add on fees and wages of three £2m players would almost certainly land the club in financial ruin again. Thankfully the board have a financial strategy and won't be making mind boggling wreckless decissions like signing the clubs financial stability away in the first January window of the return back to the top tier.

20 Jan 2017 17:41:17
Correct tom, I like McKay but I don't think he's committed long term to rangers anyway, it's just a feeling I get when I watch his interviews, also if we did get big money and warburton got to invest it, he could get 2/ 3 very good players, but it's only my opinion buddy

20 Jan 2017 20:04:21
Remember we've got to pay wages 3 1million pound players and wages and fees maybe but the roumor is doubtful and no chance we would spend it all on players when we can't afford to

20 Jan 2017 21:06:11
Reading the above post about McKay s valuation. On the rumour page it's said he's valued at 8 million. There is no doubt the lad is a descent player, so if anyone wants to offer that amount then yes please take it. However If we do indeed get anywhere that amount then do you think Warburton would get that to invest in the team? I think not, my opinion would be the cash would be massively needed to pay the bills, wages, debt, for the rest of the season.

I don't think we are in any kind of position to turn down an offer of £6 million for McKay that's if this story is even true.

21 Jan 2017 10:00:03
If rumours are true and there is a genuine interest and bid then 100% he will be sold. Cash would then be invested in the team in the summer. I'd keep M OH and give him a run of games and Dodoo. Still reckon we will achieve 2nd place so need to panic buy in Jan. Let's assess our current loan players and identify targets.

21 Jan 2017 12:23:16
barrie mackay value is only worth what someone will pay not apenny more

20 Jan 2017 14:29:23
If RB offer rangers 8 million pounds for barrie mckay i would snap there hand off for that kind of money i hear the bid is between 5 - 6 m they should counter offer for that little bit extra ill take mckay myself to germany if that's the price

20 Jan 2017 15:19:08
They haven't bid anything at all.

20 Jan 2017 17:42:02
Why the disagreements, its just been reported that RB Leipzeg have denied all rumours about mckay. I think you lot have been lied to, again. Why do you keep falling for all the nonsense, its getting pretty embaressing.

20 Jan 2017 19:21:10
This rumour wouldn't have come about if Burke didn't talk him up

20 Jan 2017 19:30:01
Bhampot

Every team has players who are linked in the press to other clubs which aren't true and some supporters believe it so it's pretty petty for you to use it to have another childish go at some on here. Honestly is that what your now reduced too?

20 Jan 2017 20:10:16
We all had a right good chuckle at Dembele £30m, £40m then £60m which was ridiculous. I don't see £6m tag for McKay as ridiculous. He's a full international. He hasn't had much game time but he's called into squads ahead of the likes of McCormack who cost around £12m, is younger and has more potential.

20 Jan 2017 20:37:50
Stewie, my point is obviously lost on you. Il ask you this, who linked McKay to leipzig? . Il now tell you, it wasnt leipzig, it was a "journalist" in a rundown paper from scotland, the only link was that he played against them. that's it, now its grown arms and legs and your being dragged up the garden path. Its a non story getting fans thinking that there may be cash coming in.

20 Jan 2017 21:27:48
Bhampot

And you obviously don't get mine. Who said I believed any of it? I've been round long enough to know how many non stories are spouted about by the press and this happens to all clubs. I doubt very many rangers fans seriously took the story as being true so for you to say we are being led up the garden path is inaccurate.

20 Jan 2017 22:52:12
Stewie, you obviously don't read your fellow fans posts. Go read them then tell me again that they didn't really believe the story. i'm being impartial here, i know the media tricks on all clubs. But every time with Rangers the fans get sucked in big time. It smacks of severe desperation.

21 Jan 2017 08:43:32
Bhampot

So from a few fans that post on here you somehow think they speak for all the support? Seriously?

21 Jan 2017 12:56:56
Its a general consensus. And ones i know certainly believed it. Seriously. Made to look like muppets again.

20 Jan 2017 13:37:34
If Barrie McKay was to leave Rangers for Leipzig we would be left with a huge creativity problem. Yes I think John Toral and Hyndman may prosper at Rangers but it is not guaranteed they will be a success. The last 5/ 6 years have taught us not to get hopes up. Therefor if McKay leaves they would have to plug the void with another loan signing as Warbs has stated he won't act irashinally and panic buy in January with inflated price tags in the shop window. With only 2 weeks or so left in this transfer period taking someone on loan from the developement side of a premiership outfit would definitely be a gamble. To fill someone's boots who has been labelled by some as "the only player with pass marks this season". I think the gamble on 2nd place might be too risky for now even if the price is right.

20 Jan 2017 14:38:03
Windass played in McKays position for Accrington for second half of last season. I'm sure we could move him there. Its not like we're short on midfielders

20 Jan 2017 15:00:01
If mckay stays and creates 40 chances in the next 10 games I don't believe the clowns we have up front are capable of scoring more than 3 or 4. Sell him, replace him and buy a proven goalscorer. Waghorn and garner are pish and Miller is doing the best he can but he's nearly done too and Dodoo clearly isn't trusted to lead the line yet. Wasn't that long ago most people wanted McKay out of the team cash in while he's on form.

20 Jan 2017 11:44:49
What's everyone's thoughts on selling Barry and getting Hayes from the Sheep?

20 Jan 2017 12:16:36
5 goals 9 assists. Yeah sure he is 29, but he looks like he'll be easily capable of going for another 3 seasons at his current level. I'd happily sell Barrie for £6mil and then offer 750k to Aberdeen for their key man. Add Nicholson to the squad aswell as he is a lot younger and has a bright future. All we need after that is a decent holding mid and a better Right back, no offense to Tav or Hodson, but hodson doesn't have the pace and tav can't defend, maybe if we could put them together we'd have a decent player.

20 Jan 2017 14:28:50
Why do people want to see our best players leaving!?!? Keep mckay and sign nicholson.

20 Jan 2017 14:37:03
No, I would not sell McKay and no, I would not bring in Hayes. The first time in years that we have a decent quality player and the minute a bid surfaces people want him sold! While there is a benefit in securing £6m to reinvest in players the sale of McKay would show that King has no real ambition for the Club and no real money to invest either!

20 Jan 2017 14:39:03
Cee, Rangers are no longer a club that can afford to bring in players and keep them, we will for the short term be a buying and selling type of club. £6mil for a player we developed is great, we could also get 2 players in for a small percentage of the transfer.

20 Jan 2017 14:49:17
Mackay will only get better imo so I hope we can get him signed up and try building a team round players like him.

21 Jan 2017 13:58:12
agreed Neil - if leipzig were to offer 6m for makay we'd have to sell. the lad has ability but too inconsistent and the state of our finances I'd bite your hand off for 6m

hayes would be a good replacement anytime i've seen the lad he's been a standout for them, rapid scores goals and decent final ball delivery.

20 Jan 2017 09:34:48
Anyone else reckon we should Hijack Aberdeens loan deal for Stevie May? Take him on loan see how he does and then maybe purchase him if all goes well?

20 Jan 2017 11:06:01
Yip, I'd take that

20 Jan 2017 12:12:48
Defo knows how to score always fancied him to come to us before he went down south

20 Jan 2017 10:42:52
Shoot me down.

But - I'd give Senderos a run of games to get an idea if he's worth keeping.

I accept he was honking against Celtic and Partick the following week.

But surely a guy that's played with Arsenal and AC Milan for 5 years can play a bit.

I like Hill - but he's 38 and can't continue to produce the performances throughout the season.

Maybe not - but I don't think we've seen a lot of him to judge so negatively.

20 Jan 2017 14:29:54
The guy barely played for both clubs though and at his age is getting even worse, he's a player who relied on physicality yet is built of glass. Clint Hill has shown what a player who will try his heart out can achieve

20 Jan 2017 07:11:20
£6 million from Leipzig for McKay, the only way I would take that is if I was confident Warburton would get it to spend on a few players but I just don't see it happening that way.

20 Jan 2017 10:41:35
Why sell our best and most talented player at all unless it's something stupid? Keep him and get someone equally as good for the right wing.

20 Jan 2017 09:25:02
Do you really trust Warburton with that kind of money?

20 Jan 2017 09:26:08
Suppose you think Dk will use it to buy a new house?

Why would you automatically assume the MW would not be given the £6m to spend on replacements?

Who from the club has said anything to form this opinion?

More negativity from the support?

20 Jan 2017 09:27:35
I see the Daily Record is back to being a reliable source again.

Highly talented though he is I doubt Leipzig are going to splash 5-7 million on Barrie McKay any time soon. Just my opinion.

20 Jan 2017 11:22:29
More paper talk; between that and the latest who is going to take MOH on loan!, and low and behold, just before we play them in the Cup, Motherwell and that inbred Mark McGhee are now after his signature.

I don't see McKay going to Leipzig at this point in time and we would be crazy to sell him to an English Club that might be sniffing about!

ideally, we will bring in three or four new players in the summer and we will move on some of the lesser players currently in the squad and with players like young Rossiter fit and playing regular we will have a significantly better team and McKay should be an important part of it!

21 Jan 2017 09:46:25
It would be a massive blow to lose McKay. If we do we should move for Sam Nicholson. 22 today and recovering from a knee injury would be right up our street with our record of signing injured players. He's a great prospect and could soften the blow a bit.

20 Jan 2017 04:09:21
If we are to continue with 5 at the back, could we not play wee barrie as a cf? Pace skill eye for goal and creativity.

20 Jan 2017 06:49:37
Thats if he is still a rangers player.

According to the record red bull are willing to invest in rangers afterall with a 6m bid for him. Not the kind of investment some were hoping for.

Its a good amount of money and if true I can't see us knocking it back.

20 Jan 2017 07:36:51
We haven't been playing 5 at the back Wilson has been playing left back just didn't go forward so mckay has been coming deeper still the same formation Wallace looks to be back this week so it will be back to normal
